Ordered a venti strawberry acai refresher without lemonade, but it wasnt filled up. When I asked, I was told I had to pay extra for the base since there was no lemonade. I had never paid extra for no lemonade, and Ive been ordering it this way ever since refreshers have been a thing. Is this a new policy?

My favorite Starbucks in chico !! The service is great even considering the reputation they already carry. There are electrical outlets available, a rarity these days. Spotless bathrooms. Always a smile and a cheerful goodbye !!

Tamara is the greatest! She has been a staple in this store and community!Love this store, if you get there at the right time you’ll have the store to yourself....pick the wrong time and you will be waiting in a long line and not be able to find a place to sit. BUT well worth the wait

This is the worst Starbucks in probably all of Butte County! The baristas are very rude and extremely slow. They are disorganized and inattentive and have very poor customer service skills as well. They all wear scowls instead of smiles like theyre upset theyre even there! Last time I went to this location, they took my order for a venti drip coffee. Instead of following company policy and getting it right away, they had me wait more then 10 minutes and when I finally got it, it was completely cold! I had already driven out of the parking lot when I noticed so I had to stop at another Starbucks and ask them to pour me another. They were apologetic and friendly and poured me a hot cup right away even though it wasnt their fault. I worked as a lead (a supervisor) for Starbucks for 3 years and I can hardly believe how bad this location is! The manager needs to get it together! There shouldnt be so many complaints here about service and product!

The coffee is hit or miss. It’d be nice if the coffee didn’t taste burnt or bitter. The service could be better. I waited over 5 minutes while Brea said she’d be right with me. In the meantime, 3 employees were standing by her doing nothing. I’d rate higher, but every time I come in here I always have to wait a long time to be waited on as well as for my drink. If in the future there’s employees standing around chatting, they can take an order. I will say though, this is a nice spot to study.

This is the absolute worst Starbucks I’ve ever been in. Came back to town to visit family and we waited over 25 minutes for 3 cold brews. There were about 5 ppl inside total. Update: Jon an employee at this location has been stalking me and followed me to Trader Joe’s pretended to shop aand watched me leave and check out dropped his things snd and followed me to my car in the parking lot after this whole situation went down a few weeks ago(see review below) trying to talk to me and I had to yell for him to get away from me. I have called customer service several times…. I cannot believe this is happening.(Original review)If I could give this store 0 stars I would. The unprofessional nature of this store is literally insane. The store manager TRIED to ban me (didn’t work I called customer service they’re not even allowed to do that) from this store because I went on a FEW dates with a barista here named Jon and broke things off with him LAST YEAR. He was problematic and toxic and for my own mental health civilly parted ways. As an adult I continued to get my coffee at this location since it is near my house for a YEAR. Jon however kept things very dramatic and not civil when The store manager approached out of the blue when I was getting my morning coffee refused to serve me and loudly in front of several customers talked down to me was condescending and made statements and assumptions about me that were completely not true. (All here-say drama) All in which put my personal life on blast and my character into question. I was not even given a moment to defend myself since she was talking over me the whole time. She told me jon did not want me coming to that location ever again and that I was not welcomed in that store because I did not “know the impact I had on Jon” she told me “There are plenty of other Starbucks you can go to” This literally stopped business as the other baristas stopped and watched as did several other customers since I was literally at the cash wrap. Whitney Gow does not deserve to be store manager, I have never been more disgusted. As a store manager myself I know how things should be handled and that was completely out of pocket. Shame on Starbucks for allowing people like her to be one of the the faces for your company.

I really dont understand how this place is open for business but when I walk to the counter and stand there the staff just walks back and forth and ignores me. when I finally spoke up to say excuse me the woman later accusef me of yelling at her. starbucks should spend more training on how to interact with customers in the store. granted a disembodied voice did call out welcome to starbucks but everything from then on was anything but welcoming. She was busy, but she could have turned around for a moment to say Ill be right with you.

The guy was killing it, he did great. The girl who pretends to sound cheery was very condescending when we didnt know they werent a reserves store, as we were going by the menu on the website and she tried to take back her snarky remark, but once her true colors were shown--theres just no back pedaling that. Maybe just dont be rude to your customers next time. You obviously did know what we were talking about if you went on to explain it.

Every time I go there instead of my regular Starbucks they are slow, rude, and I cant take the lady working there singing to me through the drive thru - its super awkward and weird. I just ordered a drink and its an iced tea, requires no prep, yet when I asked why Ive been waiting for 10 minutes they couldnt find my order and turned their back on me, thankfully a nice worker overhead my concern and made an executive decision to expedite my order and gave me a free drink card...the two college age looking women who were making drinks really need some help, terrible service.

Most of the time this place is good. Not great, but good. I’ve encountered weird issues with some of the staff. Asking for my name when I’m in the drive thru is weird. This happens on multiple occasions. The last person at the window was less than courteous. And the girl who loudly sings to take your order is obnoxious, frankly. I’ll still use your drive thru because this location is the closest to my house. I much prefer the Forest Ave location. Wish they had a drive thru.

This is my recommendation for this specific location. Their coffee is great as always but, the staff makes this place. They are amazing. Quick, efficient and polite as always but, they actually remember who you are, what your order was and they seem to know when something new matches my flavor pallette. They are never pushy about updates but, when they offer I always go for it and have never been disappointed. This is how a local coffee is supposed to treat you. Ill keep coming as long as they are willing to have me.

Ordered a latte and the barista who took my order asked if I wanted it hot or cold. I said hot please. Well, out came an iced latte. I said I am sorry but I had requested a hot latte and the lady didnt apologize and had a scowl on her face as she looks at the tag on the cup. All it said was latte, and didnt say hot or cold. She never once acknowledged her mistake and was rude and just obviously hated her job. She made a hot one in 2 seconds and slammed it down and walked away. Needless to say I took one sip and tossed it. It was terrible. First and last time at that Starbucks location for me.

Took a long time to even get my order taken even tho there was no one in line before me and then they just didnt make my hot teas . Only once I started standing next ro the counter did someone ask if I was waiting on something and when I told her, they said oops making it now. Not too hard to put a tea bag and hot water in a cup with some Splenda.Often its like this at this Starbucks I hate it when I have to stop at this one.

The drink is always good, but today I placed my order 7 minutes before I was due to arrive at the store and when I arrived at the drive thru was told my order hadn’t yet been received even though it was “due” in 4 minutes, and it always takes at least 4 minutes from the drive thru speaker to the window. I was told I had arrived too early and would have to go around through the long line of cars a second time. I don’t appreciate the lack of customer care, and if my $5 drink is too difficult to handle when placed ahead, I shall reconsider visiting this location in the future. At the window, when my order was indeed ready, the individual stated it wasn’t them on the speaker and that they were busy at that time. I usually get, and expect, much better customer service from Starbucks.

We visit this Starbucks pretty often and most of the time its good or on par with other locations. Occassionally they can get super busy in the mornings and weve noticed that they will water down the drinks when theyre in a hurry. But honestly theyre really good for the most part! This is not the usual Starbucks I go to in Chico but I was there this morning before a movie and got great customer service. The store was exceptionally busy, and I thought my order had gotten lost after about 20 minutes or so. I went to the counter and the same woman who took my order was there. She apologized, poured the espresso herself, and reversed the charge on my Starbucks card. She was friendly and initiated this on her own. I wasnt expecting to get a comp drink. Turns out I ended up with two espressos - they simply had been slammed when I placed the first order. Top notice service - thank you! This is also a very spacious store with lots of space both indoors and out.

Went there and had to return my order because they gave me something I didnt order and when I went to get a refund some Asian girl wants to argue with me about it and say that she cant refund me and will fill it with what I want which they did not have what I wanted so she was so consistent with not refunding me until I think the manager walks up and saves the day sees what is going on and refunds without a problem. The Asian girl needs to work on her customer service skills because all I wanted was to get a refund and go to another Starbucks and get what I wanted. I sound like a picky rich white girl from Hollywood but this is about customer service.

Rarely does an employee do a spot check and clean the tables off or sweep the crumbs. Restrooms are not clean often, no toilet paper, seat covers, paper towels..Pls check your restrooms every couple hours..

I’m an Uber eats driver. I get orders for this Starbucks quite often. I’ll go in and tell the barista the name of the customer’s order I’m picking up, they look at the bags and always say “we’re still working on it.” 10-15 minutes to by and I’m staring at the bags like THATS FOR THIS PICKUP. Why can they not acknowledge the names and just hand the bags that the customer rightfully paid for to be delivered fresh… I can clearly see the name on the bag is for my customer. I’ve even told management the problem, they just place blame on me and state “make sure to say it’s an Uber eats order otherwise we won’t know.” Well clearly I say that because they go and look at the bags…Why is this always an issue at this one location?

The joystick of my car got jammed after I parked in front of the window at the drive-through. The employees were very patient and kind to me as they tried to help me. They were also very professional while helping out the other customers that was behind me. A kind stranger helped me in moving the joystick causing my car to finally move! I go there multipletimes a day & a couple of theemployees actually know me & know my order. theyre always super nice to me & myson (the ones that know us). the ones who dont are kind of snotty & give dirty looks. not to mention when you go inside to get a drink it takes FOREVER. most of them are so unorganized & just stand around talking instead of doing their job. dont like your job? then quit. had to wait over 30 min JUST for a cake pop for my son, that was a bit ridiculous.

I dont like to be critical normally but really ... too many items to overlook for a supposed nice establishment. Been here an hour and nobody cleaned any tables; I did it myself. The front door keeps swinging open to let cold air in but nobody has tried to get the latch to work to stay closed. Wet rag placed on newspapers for the customers to read. Didnt ask me if I wanted my receiptn and no taste of Carmel in the Carmel Macchiato. Just not up to standard today.

01/13/2017 UPDATE:Amazingly, this place is even worse now - at least at the times when I might go in, around 5:30 or 6am.In 2014 & 2015 the early morning crew here was polite, smiling, friendly - even if it was 5 or 6am and they were tired. They ALWAYS followed the simplest rule of retail - they said thank you when you made a purchase. Most of them even knew my name by my 4th or 5th visit. VERY impressive and generally pleasant all around.Now that theyve moved and remodeled and changed many of the employees, you can say goodbye to that happy, friendly, glad-to-see-you vibe. Prepare to be held in contempt by surly teenagers.The January 2017 early-am group couldnt be more different (than the previous happyfolk), or perhaps indifferent (to customers). No smiles, NEVER a thank you, and if youre standing at the counter (INside the store), you can expect to be ignored while they take care of the drive-through customers on the headset thingies.The GOOD NEWS is that you will SAVE MONEY. This slack-jawed, uncaring, vapid, unenthusiastic group will NOT inspire you to tip. FAT--asses, turn off their cars, and actually WALK into this place.)Ive been to this new location about 8-10 times now, and at least 50% of the time something has gone awry. First off, if you walk in, usually youll wait and wait and wait while almost everyone scrambles to take care of the drive-up jerks. Chico guide Jacobs tip for locals: CHOOSE ANY OTHER STARBUCKS. Or any other local coffee shop for that matter. Try the Grateful Bean, great space for those who love bitter or sweet coffee drinks.This staff is some of the most inattentive and rude people in customer service. I can’t even remember how many times I been told they are out of Cold Brew coffee. I stopped going through the drive up because I’ll get told at the drive up that they are out of cold brew, then stuck for another 10 minutes waiting to get out empty handed. It’s a coffee shop, cold brew will last days in a refrigerator. This doesn’t happen at any other location I’ve been to.
