The service quality is getting lower compared to a few years ago.I have never received my online order on time recently, more than double in average, and no conversation to those who wait long.Recently I order 10 mins before arrival but have to wait another 10 mins at the store. I like Starbucks but the gap of service quality by stores is sometimes hard to accept, and this is why Philz, Blue Bottle or Peet’s are becoming preferred choice

Super friendly staff, quick turn around and when you order through the app, your coffee is ready on the counter with a handy receipt so you don’t pick up the wrong one by accident.They have a wide variety of Starbucks products you can buy for home use, with different themes by week.There is no outside seating, which makes this Starbucks limited IMHO. San Mateo has so many nice days to enjoy a coffee outside.Also limited parking available, and no drive through.

This stores staff was not attentive to customers at allThey had made a sign on the register that stated 20-30 min for drinks. There were 4 other patrons in the shop all of whom had already been served. We ordered and just waited for approx 20 min. Several wait staff were chillen in the back and only one working

Staff is awesome! 🤩 Always friendly, helpful, and fast. Even when it gets busy, the team greets customers with a smile and handles our orders quickly.This Starbucks is a hidden gem! I love it! I was dazed, confused unable to get wifi to connect with UBER. Then I saw Starbucks!

The entrance for this establishment is on the street side where no parking is allowed. Unless youre walking good luck finding the parking that is offered or park a block away. The customers here move so slow as of they have nowhere to be, no job to do and just meander about. The workers work hard and try to get items pumped out as soon as they can but it looks like theyre understaffed a bit.

We came here on Saturday afternoon. There is not a ton of people here but no one came to the register to take my order. One girl passed and looked at me twice but she didn’t say anything. I have to order via mobile. It is quite rude and never seen another Starbucks like this. Also, I had a really really really long wait. DO NOT COME HERE.

Total chaos behind the counter with mobile orders, on slow Saturdays and early afternoon weekdays. I could have ordered at the register and had a full cup of black coffee in 60 sec, but I ordered ahead and waited 10 mins behind trays and bags of ridiculous drinks.The mama bear who works here is so clear and kind, but it’s hard to right a ship that’s so… wrong.

I really like coming to this location cause the staff are really nice and always greets you. The morning crew are great and always say good morning first prior to taking my order. I like the social distancing they have in place and their barrista is quick and efficient. I also like that this place is always clean and well maintained because Ive been to other locations and some dont compare to this location no matter what time of day it is. Thanks again!!

This Starbucks is on Saratoga and Park Place by Whole Foods and many restaurants, theres a long pond with beautiful ducks that are practically tame. There is free parking all day underground. Starbucks on Saratoga is always clean, the bathrooms are always clean and unlike the messy Starbucks at Hillsdale Mall where the mens bathroom always has pee on the floor. The staff at the Saratoga Starbucks is friendly and the service is always great. Its quiet, and its a great place to get your work done. Better neighborhood, better bathrooms, Better Place to go.

Horrible coffee. Ordered Decaf cappuccino and it tasted like just milk. Just a hint of coffee flavor. (Took only a few sip and threw it away.)I ordered one coffee but the staff charged 2 so I had to come back and refund one. I didnt know that a big coffee chain can have a horrible coffee flavor. I live near but never want to go back again.

The service here used to be great but it has deteriorated recently. They seem to be too busy to pay any attention to you once you’ve paid. Today I placed a mobile order for two sandwiches and they were out. Which is no problem. But then they offered some cheaper alternatives and just brushed it off when I mentioned the price difference. Yeah it is only a few bucks but it is annoying when you don’t get what you paid for and in addition get sarcasm instead of apologies.

When I’m in San Mateo this is the only Starbucks I ever go to. The staff is always friendly even when they are super busy. They take the time to get your drinks right and to get to know you. I definitely recommend this Starbucks if you are in the San Mateo are.

This is my favorite Starbucks in the San Mateo area. Shoutout to Alexis who works here. Super friendly and always so welcoming. He is AMAZING. Every time I came here my experience was amazing. I will miss this place :(

Great staff great service, but horrible parking. Don’t expect to just park and order when you’re in a hurry. You might have to circle the block or wait for one of the people mysteriously sitting in their cars to leave.Staff 5 starsParking 1 star

The employees are great at this location. They have nitro on tap. This is the devil. Its the most addictive thing since sliced bread. It makes heroin look like cookies.Btw the people that go here kinda suck. They really dont care about others. They park in loading zones and red zones.
