Great location! Very clean and pleasant. An employee named Angel took the time to genuinely ask about my day. His empathy really helped turn my day around. Nice and spacious on the inside with plenty of seating. The baristas are very nice, the only reason I gave 4 stars is because some odd people do come in here (some homeless) and were fighting and acting strange. (Not much the staff can do I know) but other then that a great statbucks, one of the baristas even went around handing out cute little samples and they were constantly always cleaning up tables. Will definitely be back

(edit: service has improved since the original event. Will add another star or two as time goes.) Usually great. Dining room closed today due to short staff, which is fine, I completely understand the difficulty of running dining room and drive through on short staff. I figured lets see what the drive through looks like. If there are no cars, maybe I can order there. No cars for about 6-7 minutes, went ahead and walked through. 5 employees standing around on their phones doing nothing, I figured it wouldnt be a problem. They wouldnt even pore me regular coffee because I wasnt in a car. Ill take the L for today if its just policy, but they actively tried to hide from view to avoid having to speak with me. Just a shame is all. Would have loved a hot cup of coffee.

I mobile order a simple iced coffee with pumpkin spice and half/half, I walk in to pick it up and as soon as I got the coffee I saw it was dark brown, I tasted and it taste like coffee water, I spoke to a guy at the register which I assumed was the shift supervisor I told him my coffee tasted horrible and he seem like he barely want it to help or service a customer he ask what was it and I show him the drink cause he didn’t even want to pick up the cup didn’t even say sorry or anything, he then said he will have them remake it I told him if he can redo ASAP as my drink was ready I was rushing to work, he did told a young girl doing the drinks to redo she did it again and when she call out my name to give it to me once again the coffee was dark brown only not a single hint of Orange color for the pumpkin spice I tasted it and once again it taste it horrible, she even ask if it was okay? And this point I just told her don’t worry about it and I left. Never going back to this store horrible drinks and service, the Starbucks at the Chula Vista Mall is 100% way better in drinks and services, honestly the only reason I order here cause the aforementioned’s mobile order wasn’t available, lesson learned leave a bit early to order where they do know how to do drinks especially simple and not complicated drinks to not deal with locations like these. Never going here again, even though is down the street from my place I rather drive far from my way to not come here. 0 stars if I could.

Hi I been a customer fir many years here There fore months ago I was treated w Poor customer service this young man had a snobby attitude this male barista assisted me acted so sassy and rude, I had told him it was my bday n how was it possible to get a free drink “ he didn’t even want to bother n just told me I couldn’t get it since I had just uploaded the Starbucks app was pretty blunt n rude careless not considerate at all more like he shut the door on my face n go somewhere else is what I felt, Anyhow I went to a different Starbucks n had no issue at all was soo kind immediately gave me a drink n actually says Happy Birthday that I was thankfull being that I have been a Starbucks customer for many years the least he could of done “ was greet your customer specially after I had mentioned my birthday instead very snobby n he ruined my day n had to go some where else to get a drink anyhow that was my experience there @ H n Broadway

Every Starbucks has a little bit of difference even though they look similar. The customer service is always great their food is amazing its a consistency everywhere you go, yet every single Starbucks has a little Jewel or a Special Touch the way that the people behind the counter treats you or smiles at you or they just simply say hello with that said this place is a very tight space when it comes to parking, yet they do have a drive-thru theyre unique because this position on a corner of Broadway and one of the main streets in Chula Vista. They do have a bathroom and they do have tables where you can sit at. The meeting of this Starbucks is that the people that are behind the counter no matter how this busy they are theyre always treating you with respect and I smile on their face.

Today me and my wife were there and not only one lady was rude but two. We were not asked for our names when we placed the order. Then the order -for one macchiato- was never ready. When I asked for status of my coffee she asked for my name (they did not ask for it when I placed the order). Then said “don’t you see we’re busy” “Is there anything else?” I asked for my money back, which I did. Bottom line, very disappointed. Poor customer service and unprofessional personnel.

I used to be a Partner at Starbucks, so trust me when I say that this is the location you want to go to!!Im consistently impressed with their speed, attentiveness, and friendliness. Its pretty normal for people to have bad days, but no one here seems to ever let it affect their level of service.Sergio in particular is FANTASTIC!! I actually contacted Starbucks corporate to give my praise for his service, and Ive never felt compelled to do that in all my life!I work from home, and Ive been to probably every Starbucks in a 40 km radius at this point, and this one is the best 😁😁

I would give it a no star if I could but its not an option. So about 5 minutes ago I just had the worse drive thru experience with this stores Supervisor supposedly names Vanessa and another employee named Val. They were rude and they didnt know anything about policy. Vanessa literally argued with my friend who is a partner supervisor (and knows policies) and asked for an ID for a refund when in the handbook it says you dont need one. They did not have any knowledge of anything and prices were wrong. Like Wheres accuracy Wheres the knowledge Wheres the customer is first in here. Like they preferred to argue for 10 minutes with my friend for them to just give her the refund. Time was wasted and customers were waiting in line and they didnt care about that. I will call corporate myself tomorrow when they open just to let them know about my experience. They need training big time. I work retail and this attitude was unacceptable. I hope this review helps with better customer service training and policy training. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!

I think these people care more about their timers than the actual customer. Horrible service I went in the drive-through and it was empty I waited by the mic no one answered I waited a little and read the sign that says move forward for order which I thought was weird because I always order on a mic. But I assumed maybe it wasn’t functioning. So I move forward then I heard him start talking I couldn’t go back as there was a line now so I asked her in the front to take my order and she said no I have to go back in line again. I saw she asked a manager and he declined me and made me have to wait in line allOver instead of just taking my order. I think that’s horrible service the line was empty when I arrived and I was in front and they made me go back in line and declined my order because they were worried about the timer. It was mellisa and Sergio who for some reason declined me. Very inconvenient and inconsiderate, I ended up having to get off and order myself.

I’ve been going to this Starbucks Every day to get my caramel frappe with my banana nut bread I went three days ago and paid with a $20 bill and didn’t get my change Back $13 bucks . I went back the next day to get my coffee again and spoke to a manager about my change she said call tomorrow and I will let you know. I called back the next day and she says manager had to leave call back tomorrow but at the same time I’m speaking to a manager and she can’t do anything about it so unprofessional !!!

I come here to this location, because is close to me, but Im considering going to a different location. The girls the work on the registers in the morning are very rude, and the manager is there listening and she doesnt do anything!!! We come every day 3 to 4 people twice a day for different drinks and bring business to this place. I think we will bring our business somewhere else

I wasnt gonna leave a review until I read the others reviews. Theres good people here, real personable. Its a busy spot, so expect some delay for Gods sake. If you want quick coffee go to 7/11 or AM/PM. If you enjoy good coffee just like the rest of us, stop being so entitled and wait it out. Just like morning traffic, maybe leave a little earlier? This goes for any bucks Id think.Happy customer since 2007.

I Visit every morning before work, at 5:30am and the crew is great they are my favorite people in the morning. Not only is there service fast and friendly they get to know there customers and know what they like, and thats the part i enjoy about my visit . Karinas good is not bad but also not the greatest, it fall in between, service matters a lot when you food falls in that category.Talking about service, I had the taste for seafood and I have tried other Karinas locations, so the turn came for Karinas at eastlake.Waiting for a table wasnt bad 20 minutes, we were told 45 minutes but it actually was 20.I understand that we all do mistakes, but I come from working at the restaurant section for few years, So theres something that I feel servers should do or not do, also I guess we all appreciate good Service in any area.We got the wrong drinks, server took a long time to take our order.Took our order wrong, Good point because the food we asked came right out after it was replaced for the correct order.When we asked for the check it took 25 minutes and then we have go ask again.The check was wrong, yes we got charged for the drinks we didnt order.Bad experience at this Karinas.

This was the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Starbucks is usually a good experience, first its configuration is horrible. Decided to to do the drive through and the line was long.. So I assumed there was a good reason for it. (I was wrong, ) Went there with a few family members. My Brother in law wanted a Sparkling Berry Sangria herbal tea, they claimed the sparkling machine was broken, So we Ordered it without the sparkling and then they said it was only a seasonal flavor no longer available... Even though its available according to the Starbucks Website. So instead, we ordered a Shaken Iced passion tango Tea But instead, we where given a Lemon aide version.... We also ordered Iced cinnamon almond milk macchiato it had a weird taste witch made it undrinkable, witch we later identified as burnt coffee. Since we did the drive through, we did not go back for a refund... Like I said, usually Starbucks is great, I would say avoid this location. No pictures.. i was very upset.

Bro are you serious? I had ordered two frapps with special requests. One with mocha and caramel drizzle on top and the other with just caramel drizzle. At first they didnt hear but I clarified what i had asked for and they even repeated it back to me so i know they got it right. Despite this, they still missed to add the other drizzle on the first drink. The second one i had asked for just caramel drizzle on top. But then handed me a little cup with the caramel. I was really confused at first but then I noticed i had to drizzle it on myself lmfao. Cant follow simple directions.

This is actually one of the better coffee places that are nearby my house. They have excellent WiFi and quiet private seating as well as somewhere to recharge ones phone, however they as of late have placed coded locks on their restrooms (presumably for paying customers) and that seems somewhat inaccessible to someone who may have to desperately go to the bathroom.

Even with GPS tough place to figure out as its only a drive thru with no parking. Place was busy though with lots of seated customers, and drive-thru-s. My coffee was not good bc staff didnt understand order...thats never happened to me before in a StarbucksThey couldnt seem to grasp the concept of a Breve...poured it out and left.

I spent the afternoon with a friend and her 90 year old mother in the cool Starbucks. We had our lunch there, and I had the best chai latte I ever had. Everybody is great at this Starbucks especially mark who has worked there quite a while. I love my corner Starbucks, I go there quite frequently. So if either drive thru or in service it is the best Starbucks in the area.

Its always more than 15 min to get one drink, and most of the time customer service does not make it worthwhile, only 4 workers, one cashier, 2 baristas and one cleaning at turtle pase, and still, not enough to deliver amazing product.

Ive been visiting and studying in this particular location for the past four years.Guess what? The service is crap, the employees are rude, and bathrooms are typically out of toilet paper and toilet seat covers. Oh, one of the bathrooms is constantly closed for whatever reason.Im not saying that every single time Ive been here it has been a poor experience. I also do not hold high standards for any Starbucks cafe. I go there, buy my food and drink and study from morning til evening. Every Starbucks is the same. I get that.But, THIS Starbucks almost always leaves me ticked off! They play the music like this is a club instead of a coffee shop. Forget concentrating on work, you can barely have a conversation without yelling. Music is great, I totally dig the jams in a cafe, but come on, I dont want to struggle to hear someone speaking to me.There have been occasions where I (politely) ask for them to turn down the volume, and it happens, but then someone ends up turning it up... What. The. Eff.Whether or not the store has a flurry of customers, the employees have some sort of attitude... There are a few employees who are professional and affable, but Ive had too many interactions with employees with poor attitudes...One more thing, and this one is what bothers me the most: they start closing up when it isnt even 10:30pm, yet. The lobby closes at 11:00pm. Its maybe, 10:15, 10:20pm, and already theyre taking the food items out of the display case and bringing in the chairs from outside.I totally understand wanting to clean up early cause they wanna go home. The closer it gets to leave, the slower the time passes, and you just want to go home! Of course... but you know what? Dont make the customers feel like theyre being kicked out when it isnt even ten minutes until closing time.Ive studied in many Starbucks cafes from and in between Escondido and San Ysidro. This is seriously one of the worst locations.I live in Chula Vista and this is the only one whose lobby stays open the latest (closes at 11:00pm) in my area.I need to contact the district manager or something...

Consistently poor customer service and exceptionally long wait times regardless of the number of customers. The employees range from fair to downright rude. They seem to lack training, which seems rare for a Starbucks. (I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but Ive been coming here since I moved 4 months ago). I get coffee grounds in my drink about 25% of the time. :-/If you take the drive-thru on a weekday morning its generally a 15 minute wait. Parking and going in is quicker, although yesterday I waited in line 3-4 minutes while the barista talked to the customer ahead of me about her hairstyle.Its fine. You get your coffee drink, which is the goal. But its by far the worst Starbucks Ive ever been to. (And Ive been to a LOT of Starbucks! #basicwhitegirl) If it werent conveniently located on my way to work Id never go back.

We had a somewhat complicated order (secret menu frap type drink) and WE made the mistake of not asking for no whipped cream. The drink came out (with whipped cream) and when we noticed and felt like such dummies! We told the barista we messed up and forgot to ask for no whipped cream and she replied with oh no problem. She held the drink over the sink, took off the lid, and flopped the whipped cream off (but definitely not ALL of it) replaced the lid and handed it back to us. We had to ask her to remake it, which she did but it was clearly an annoyance to her. We offered to pay for it since it was our mistake and we were really polite but she seemed annoyed that we wouldnt take the one with the removed whipped cream. Is this common practice at Starbucks to just remove something like that? Like...if we asked for no cheese on a burger at a fast food place would they stand in front of you and pull the cheese slice off? I dont know, I just think its a little weird and Im curious if this is common practice or part of Starbucks training? Otherwise the drink was delicious.

Ive been coming through the drive thru about 6 out of 7 days a week since the COVID shutdowns started. The line moves fast, the baristas never seem annoyed to be working, and my drink always comes out great! (Quad shot over ice in a grande cup, with light cream). A lot of places burn the shots but even when the drive thru is busy, my drink comes out great. I never remember their names, but I enjoy every interaction I have while waiting T the window for my drink to come out. 5/5! Thanks for serving our community in this time of limited options!

I just went to drive thru and ordered an extra hot drink. When the employee handed me my coffee, he used 2 hands to hand the coffee to me...like he was afraid it was going to spill even though it had a lid. When I stopped my car to begin drinking my coffee, the lid was ill fitting and it spilled in my car and all over me. It burned my hand and chest! When I tried to better fix the lid, I noticed that the cup rim was bent which is why the lid did not line up! The employee obviously knew this when he was carefully handing me the coffee! Laziness caused injury which causes law suits! Idiot!

Dearest Starbucks,I love Starbucks even cost more money than other coffee shops, my favorite is classic oatmeal and bagels with cream cheese of course,, you can tell my previous visits. My issue is this location that I get my breakfast right (drive thru ) close to my job, staffs always messed up my orders every time many times, they made me come back to make my orders right, I have to check my bag front of them to make sure everything my food is in the bag and they still not right, I have to asked for everything oatmeal toppings, utensils etc. no spoons they said run out spoons how I’m supposed to eat my oatmeal. Most employees work in drive thru are not friendly and attitudes.Too bad this is the only Starbucks close to my job to get my breakfast, but I know you people can make actions to make this Starbucks location better and for customers satisfaction . Worst starbucks in chula vista. i even know some employees who also admit its the worst starbucks in chula vista. every time i order a specialty drink here, even simple ones, it is made incorrectly and tastes like gross mud water. i mean, this happens often at other starbucks i go to, but none are as consistently terrible as this one. i dont think ive ever had a satisfying drink from this location, regardless of what i ordered. i typically go here because its the closest drive-thru to my house, and i detest getting out of the car, but i still regret it every time and wonder what i was thinking. i would not take time out of my day to write a review unless this place was truly awful. the interior is nice, its actually one of the nicest starbucks to hang out in, i just wish the coffee was tolerable. this has been happening for years. this place needs to get its act together.

I had the WORST customer service experience here this morning!I went in through their drive thru around 7 AM and orderred a few items including an Iced Carmel Macciato with soy and extra carmel, I PAID for my order and when I got the order back I noticed it wasnt much carmel so at the drive thru window I asked for more carmel and the cashier took the drink and added a tiny squeeze to it so when she handed it back to me I told her I wanted more than that and guess what she said?! She says I have given enough carmel for what you paid for. UMMMM, EXCUSE ME? So I told her I wanted more and that I had paid for it so to fix it and she refused! Saying that I had gotten enough and that they were running low so they couldnt offer me more, I was so irritated I told her I wanted a refund and at first they DENIED my refund and wouldnt offer me a receipt from my original purchase so they ONLY refunded me for the coffee not the carmel I probably paid extra for or the soy! I have sent in emails to Starbucks and called and plan on contacting their manager because this is ridiculous! NO Starbucks has EVER refused to fix an order I was not happy with! I contacted Starbucks because they didnt ofer me a receipt and they gave me horrible, rude, service! A very classy place to get some coffee and enjoy comfortable and quiet social setting and ambience. Very good regulated Music volume and the Baristas are very well trained on customer service. The menu has substantially grown in the last few years so I know Starbucks is definitely working towards staying in the market even though some of their products are overpriced in my opinion. Having spent I will send entire life around the food industry I know what it cost to make some of those products and they simply dont cost that much so they are making a lot of profit. At least some of the profits go to good causes and for the most part they seem like an eco-friendly and eco-conscious Company that considers having a good profile. In my visit there there was some cops that were taking of more than two tables if I was one of the employees or I would have kindly told them to consolidate their belongings and leave room for the other people that are trying to sit down and have a cup of coffee I dont necessarily think that its inappropriate please to do police work operations Im sure they have a big enough office in there nice government building.

No drive-through. Medium size store... about 3 to 4 tables inside and 4 to 5 outside. Big parking lot so easy to find parking. This location seems to be used quite a bit by business people.

Took 10 minutes to get my drink which was not the one I wanted in the first place. The barista was fooling around cracking jokes, meanwhile their drive thru line was 8 cars deep! Horrible kids making adult drinks and terrible management.

This is by far the most interesting coffee shop, because I think this starbucks is the biggest compared to others.The staff is really cool hip and down to earth. Just visited this Starbucks and I ordered a grande vanilla bean frappe with 2 shots of espresso, 2 pumps of hazelnut, and java chips. Sadly, I didnt have any vanilla bean in my drink, which is the whole point. So it tastes like blended ice and milk with java chips and espresso. Very dissatisfied with my visit today!

Typical Starbucks but our cashier was cool and tried to save us a few pennies by suggesting a better way to order my usual. I dont live in SoCal anymore but I do miss my Starbucks. Everyone is on the ball, knows how to make any drink you ask them to and theyre for the most part, friendly and professional.Unfortunately, one star lost for the bathroom that is shared by every homeless person and bus rider that stops there. Its cool that we can all share, but it was in pretty bad shape.Dining room is HUGE and the majority of customers were on their pcs taking advantage of the free wi-fi.

I usually encounter great and kind baristas at Starbucks but I went there today with my dad and It was a little intense. We got 3 iced doppio expressos and obviously you put milk(half&half) in there. No one is gonna drink a venti cup with ice and 2 shots of expresso by itself. The milk ran out so my dad asked for more. We get the same thing regularly btw. The lady said that she would have to charge us for using all of the milk because apparently if you fill your cup up with too much milk then youll get charged. This has never happened to us EVER. If we ask for a refill, the employee is really nice and just gets us a refill of the milk. My dad got angry and assumed that she was trying to con him because he looks easy. I dont know if what she said was really true but I just know that it was said in a rude way and sounded fake.
