Starbase is the absolute best! The battery in my HP laptop exploded & the damage was so significant that I was ready to trash it and buy a new one. Henry asked me to bring it in to see what could be done. With keys missing, the battery issue & water damage, Henry not only saved my HP but in record time! All of the work needed should have taken a week, but Henry finished everything in just a couple of days. This man is great at what he does and he obviously loves his work. It shows in the way he treats his customers. Im incredibly satisfied. Go nowhere else but Starbase for fast, professional diagnoses & the best customer service 👌

Henry is very knowledgeable, kind, direct, and no nonsense. He fixed my son’s computer very quickly (same day! We stopped in just to inquire if he would be able to take a look— most places are booked solid this time of year. He said bring it in. He had it fixed in a couple of hours and stayed late so we could pick it up.) I would highly recommend Starbase. I think he could fix almost any computer!

I recently built a new PC and had some issues setting it up. Honestly I tried all sorts of resources and I couldn’t get it to work. Computer suddenly stopped booting to OS one day. Normally I try to fix things myself, but I was stuck. Googled for some PC repair places near me and decided to take my PC to Starbase Net Computer. Henry was more than happy to arrange accommodations for me to drop off my computer when I arrived while he was away doing an on-site job. I was kept updated with texts of every effort to save my SSD before ultimately concluding it was damaged. Henry replaced it for a reasonable price, and even updated my BIOS for me. Initially, we thought all data would be lost, but he was able to help me somehow save some of my data. When I took the PC home, I accidentally plugged in my monitor to my motherboard instead of my graphics card and when I had a bit of a panic, Henry responded to my texts even after hours and was able to quickly point out my mistake.Henry and Starbase Net Computer is a great business run by a great person. Everything is done very honestly and youre always kept up to date on the status of what is being done. Henry is a very accommodating person, and goes above and beyond to assure your needs are met and more. Ill be going here for all my computer repair needs from now on.

All times I’ve had great customer service, Henry is quick and provided information regarding whatever service I was getting during and/or after via text. Henry was super communicative, organized, and prompt with the repair. He explained the problem to me a couple times (I had no clue at all what was wrong with the computer and he was able to quickly diagnose the issues). The repair process was also transparent; Henry checked in with me by text and call before purchasing parts or going through with anything that would add additional costs to the bill. I was able to get my computer back a day after, very speedy service even including replacement parts. Would highly recommend this service and will be returning if I run into any more issues.

What an awesome experience! My son wanted a custom built PC for his birthday and I needed help. We ordered all the parts but didn’t know what to do. Henry is amazing. I went in thinking Id need to replace my whole computer case and have my computer rebuilt, but Henry rearranged the fans and radiators to get everything to fit! If I had had to buy a new case it would have been easily twice as expensive. Ill definitely be back.

This is my second time using their services and theyre great! I built my own PC and had a new issue that I could not pinpoint with what I had at hand. He gave it a once over, replaced the part at a very competitive rate and did a much better job at cable management that I ever have been able to. I have purchased a laptop, had occasion to repair my desktop...all great. Today I bought an excellent used laptop from him and had a conversation about skydiving. I encouraged him to try Sky Dive Santa Barbra which is the one that I go to for 18,000 foot jumps. I am a 77 year old grandma who loves people and jumping out of airplanes.

First-rate expertise and service. I went in to get a battery replaced in my laptop, which he took care of in short-order while I waited. Then, I asked him about upgrading the memory to improve performance, assuming Id probably need to either come back or leave the computer overnight, since he was working on other customers computers as well. Nope. It took him only another 15 minutes to install and check out the new memory. He performed some additional tune-ups at no extra charge. I left with a new battery, upgraded memory, and a faster booting and working computer. Plus, hes just a very friendly, nice guy. I will definitely return with any future computer maintenance issues I have in the future. Call ahead to make sure hes in, as he does house calls, as well as in-office service.

Henry was amazing! My teenage son purchased a bunch of parts to build a computer for his birthday. Not wanting to squash his creativity and make him feel like he wasnt capable of the undertaking, I supported it. We were told it was like putting together Legos, but it was not that simple. After my son got part way through the build, he realized he needed some assistance.Henry was able to put the entire computer together in one afternoon. One part we purchased from a large retailer was broken so we had to exchange it and Henry saved us from returning it with 4 little screws that I wouldnt have noticed had he not texted me over the weekend to tell me to be sure to remove them before exchanging the part, as my son had already installed them on the defective part. Anyway, I cant say enough great things about Henry and his ability to put together a complicated gaming computer and save me from the stress of looking at all the parts strewn around my sons room, thinking I just wasted a ton of money with this endeavor. This place is great! I just moved here locally. My computer was running extremely slow, it took a long time to boot up and it just wasnt working right. I took it another service previously, and he lost my flies and did not resolve the situation.Then I met Henry at Starbase! He got my computer running better then new, and then helped me recover Final Draft and purchase Norton. He spent a good hour with me after he fixed my computer to make sure it was running great (I am not a computer tech guy). Ive just had Henry build (in this case, rebuild) my third desktop in the past fifteen years. Mine was JUST about to crash, but Henry was able to retrieve my data, install an updated OS from windows 7 to windows 10, replace my burned-out CD/DVD drive, plus replaced hard drive to new solid state drive and much more. My son’s gaming computer was having performance issues. We installed, on our own, a new motherboard and processor to try and increase the speed of his computer. To keep it short, after installing the new components, the necessary drivers would not install, so he couldn’t use it for gaming. Even tried to put the old components back to see if they would make everything work (did not). Searching on Google, I found Starbase and it showed a high rating and great reviews.I called Henry and took the computer over. He wiped the hard drive completely and installed the new components back. He noted to me that the hard drive was having issues and most likely starting to go bad. I had a new SSD drive to swap it out and about two weeks later, went back and Henry took care of everything.My son was blown away in how much better his PC was performing and was ecstatic to be able to play online without any issues in graphic lag or the speed on the computer itselfHenry was very knowledgeable and even took the time to explain the issue in detail (I know a bit on computer components, so I was able to understand what he was telling me). Can’t thank Henry enough for the work that he did. Highly recommend Starbase for any computer issues anyone may have.

I cant recommend this place enough!I accidentally broke the headphone port on my laptop and needed to get it fixed. I brought it here and I am so grateful I did. He diagnosed it quickly and ordered the part. Instead of keeping my laptop, he told me to just bring it in when the part comes in. After a few days, the part came and I brought it in. He was done within a few hours. Most computer places take days, sometimes over a week. The fact he did a wonderful job in such a short time was amazing. Drop off my laptop and my desktop for service at Starbase Computer.Both of my computers were running very slow.The tech Henry identify my computer problems while I was waiting and gave me a quote. One needed more memory from a 4GB to 8 GB or more and for my system my drive was going bad with many bad sectors.Henry was able to fix both of my computers and help me recover the data on a same day after I droped off before noon.It was a very good choice that I make. Very impressive to have it ready for pickup by 5:30 on the same day.I dont know of any big box store that can offer that type of service.Will knowledgeable staff with tons of experience. This is a good computer store to have your computers service. Highly recommended.

Had a problem with my pc due to my liquid cooling not working efficiently, causing the cpu to be at a hotter temp than usual and also caused an annoying sound whenever I turned it on, but thankfully Henry was a real one and replaced it with way better fans, now I can play games with no stress about hot cpu temps. I came here for my laptops to be service by Starbase Computer. Did a lot of searching online before I decided to come in to Starbase Computer for service. It is a well established business since 1991.Talk to Henry with my laptops and he was able to identify both of my laptop problems immediately. One laptop needed a hard drive and the other with a dead battery that will not charge at all. Henry was able to fix both of my laptops within the next day turn around including the parts that I needed. This repair shop scheduled a time for me to discuss my computer issue with the day after I contact them. The person working there, Henry, was very quick to identify the problem, gave me a fair price to repair the hardware and fixed the computer in a couple days as he had initially promised. I brought my custom PC here due to some problems it was having, and Henry was able to troubleshoot it and even offer suggestions to have it run better. When I picked up my computer I noticed that a customer brought a Newegg box full of computer parts, I think its cool that you can buy it and they will build it. This place offers a lot services, and when the time comes to build a new PC I will definitely consider going here for parts and services.

I had an HP laptop with a trackpad mouse that stopped working. Henry immediately predicted that the problem was a bubbled battery. He ordered and installed a new battery and 2 days later the laptop runs perfectly again. I went to Starbase Net Computer to get an external hard drive fixed in a critical moment. The connector port broke, and with a project dead line coming up, it was CRITICAL that I got my data back same day. Henry at Starbase was SO helpful, and worked after hours to get me a new external hard drive with the transferred data back the same day. He pulled out the magic today. 10/10 would recommend for personalized service when you are in a pinch.

Henry helped me set up a dual boot system to keep Windows 7 as my primary OS and Windows 10 as a secondary OS so I can play all the new PC games. He also cleaned up my PC as the wires and fans were out of place. And my Graphics card fan wasnt running and he fixed that too. Wonderful service. My main desktop computer died this morning. I called Henry and brought it in. Within three hours he had diagnosed the problem and had it back up and running. I had expected it to take at least a day with all the other work he had to do. Iam a retired firefighter and expect people to perform like me give 100 percent all the time. Henry at starbase computer is my type of guy. I have bought all my computers for my family for the last 10 years and am very happy with his service. Unlike best buys and other large computer stores that charge you for every little thing Henry dosent. I cant tell you how many times i had a small problem with software issues or small problems I would bring in my computer and he would fix it for notting thats service. If it was a major problem the fee was painless not like best buys. Plus he always gives me advice on upgrades saving me lots of money. Lots of my friends go to him instead of large computer stores. Just picked up my Dell laptop from Henry at Starbase Net Computer. My laptop had a hard drive that took, literally, forever to boot up and bring web pages up.I ordered an SSD drive to upgrade it, then I called Henry. He said bring it in.... Worst experience ever. Went their to fix my MacBook keyboard and he told me he was not able to fix it and needed to get the new keyboard. After keyboard parts arrived, I brought my MacBook to the store and left. After 2 hours, I received the call and he said he is not able to fix the computer. Then I asked him to put the parts back and while he was putting the parts back, he broke the keyboard connector from my laptop. He fixed the keyboard after few days but if you are looking someone to fix your MacBook, definitely not a right place to go. Especially if you have newer version of Macbook!

I wanted my new Apple Mac Book to be connected to my brand new printer wirelessly. He couldnt do it. He finally managed to make a connection via the old school way - via the printer cable. Even that doesnt work now. He charged me $200 for the failed connection. NOTE re: their response below - the response doesnt make any sense. I was never in their store and certainly not with my printer as they describe below. A, man called Henry came to my house and was unable to wirelessly connect my new printer. My PC died on a Sunday night while rendering some AfterEffects video (translate: working very hard!!). 9:30am Monday, I carried the PC into Starbase Net and told them I suspected that the power supply had died. They confirmed that and before I could walk out the door, they had the power supply out. Less than half a day later, they called to say it was ready, and at a very reasonable rush price. They also cleaned up that fearful rats nest of power supply wiring I had caused by doing a little of my own work on my PC. Superior service, a great attitude, and you can tell they really care.
