I’ve purchased lenses and frames here several times and just received amazing customer care again. The Frames/Lenses I purchased 4 months prior were accidentally scratched by my children. I brought them in expecting to buy new lenses which aren’t cheap. I was well taken care of and paid a small portion of the overall price to replace! Thank you and will be back! Highly recommended!

It started off with a big smile and welcome from Haykel, as he asked me to fill out some information and then I went for in for the initial tests with Brenda, who is the greatest Doctors technician ever! She was a delight to chit chat with! Elias brought me in for a hybrid interview with an optometrist and he also was the one to clean and tighten up my old glasses. What a nice guy! I was then brought over to Martha to complete my visit after I picked out 2 of my favorite frames. There are so many frames to choose from and it was relaxing picking them out as no one pressured me. Martha and Haykel were thorough as they explained all options to me, again without pressure. They discussed whatsbest for me and I didnt feel like they tried to over-sell me. They all were so kind, nice, and polite! Bottom line...their customer service was extraordinary!

Worst ever! They try to get your attention by advertising amazing deals,but once you are hooked, you will find out that they are a whole bunch of liars and scammers! They definitely do not deliver what they promise and it’s a complete ripoff! The glasses were not too bad, the free pair of sunglasses that they praise so highly are super cheap quality, their astigmatism contact lenses don’t work, they promised to deliver the order within 3 to 5 business days, it took 3 to 4 weeks! Send hours on the phone, numerous calls, nothing got resolved. They promised to call back, that never happened! All in all a very disappointing business.

I am very impressed with the staff. Unfortunately they did not explain I needed to spend more to get a full field of vision in my new lens. So if I look to the left or right everything is out of focus, I have to look straight on to see clearly. Ive been buying glasses for 20 years and never heard of this before. I would have gladly paid more. Sadly $934.93 wasnt enough for me to see clearly unless I turn my head. I like the staff, but my first pair of glasses didnt turn out very well. They did explain theres nothing they could do for me. Thanks.Update: Martha contacted me from Stanton Optical and took care of the problem. She ordered me new lenses that have a full optical field. Thank you Martha for taking care of me. I picked up the new glasses yesterday and I see normally. See you when I get my next pair of glasses.

First of all. I want to say how surprised I was at this place. The costumer service was phenomenal and there were a large variety of glasses to choose from. One of the associates, Jasmine, was very helpful and answered all my questions. It definitely is a breath of fresh air to see people who still respect customers and be kind. Jasmine definitely helped this experience be great!

Honestly pretty poor experience. 1st time in I go in for deal of like 2 for something. The options were absolutely trash making it to where you have to spend more. I choose the next option they have, buy one get one free. I had zero add ons bought and the total still came out almost 500$ for the two pairs. Definitely not buy one get one free. They are also very flimsy and they seemed annoyed at the fact I wanted them adjusted to my face correctly. Turns out the video that you watch that gives you the exam, shocker, got my prescription wrong. It’s not somebody in the office with you the entire time, then they put you on a large FaceTime. Second time I go in there to correct my glasses, lady at the desk and the lady actually doing eye test are looking and acting high as hell with red eyes. The chair you have your exam in with a real human looks like an electric chair because is so old and beat up. I had to ask her to clean the face pieces because the last clients make up was still on it. The prescription is better now but they were hesitant on fixing it. Glasses are flimsy and already falling apart. They did not even try or want to look at them before handing them to me. The nose pieces were already falling off when they gave it to me but at that point I was completely done with that place and could fix them at home. Don’t go here.

I never go on to write reviews but I had such a good experience. I didnt mind wrinting a review.Everyone was incredibly friendly. Especially this girl named Jasmine. She made sure to address all of my concerns and helped out when I struggled picking out a pair of glasses. I have since gone back and always made sure to request her for help. I cant say I have any complaints their service is quick and staff are friendly. Thank you Jasmine.

They had Amazing customer service at this location. Everybody I came in contact with was happy, friendly and super helpful..I was there last appointment, but you could never tell they treated me like they had all the time in the world. I was super tired from work, but Brenda made everything comfortable and easy, She went above and beyond to make my experience an amazing one. When I saw 2 pairs of glasses for $79 I was intrigued.. unfortunately those frames were unattractive and there were only 6. I ended up spending $419 on 2 pairs.. the old bait and switch .. come in for the discount that doesn’t really exist and spend way more.. that was not all.. the clear film on one pair started to peel off within 4 months but they refused to fix it claiming they could not monitor what I cleaned the glasses with.. unfortunately it got so bad I could not see out if the glasses.. they said this is unusual but they could fix it for $209 the cost of new lenses.. they didn’t even honor their warranty… just very poor customer service!

I just had the most wonderful experience here at Stanton Optical with the help of my optometrist I was able to pick out a fabulous pair of glasses and was able to save a lot of money. Alyse was so great helping me get the best deal for my budget. Everyone I spoke to are so very friendly. Alex really welcomed me in with a warm smile and helped answer my questions. I recommend coming here. The only thing I was confused about was the $59.95 gets you 2 pairs of glasses and the eye exam. I fell in love with a $49 pair and I had picked out a cheap other nice one. I guess I didnt understand that there was a second option and it was to buy a pair and get 60% off the the frames and lenses at regular price totalling $155 and I didnt want to spend more money but Alyse spoke to the manager and worked it all out with me still getting my second pair since I had already paid. Over all a little misunderstanding but Im 😊 happy. So thanks team at Stanton!

Love this place! Awesome service, very friendly and fast. I used to go to my regular eye clinic where they would take forever to help me and give me a pair of glasses (more than 3 weeks). But here you can get them the same day. Also if you have issues you can get them fixed really fast. Like in less than 5 mins no appointment needed! My glasses look brand new after having them for only 6 months !

Ivan was such a great help when I came in. I was coming in to get my glass frame fixed but ended up getting a contact exam. Worst customer service ever walked in. No greeting. Nothing. They never assisted. The virtual doctor appointment was rigged with shadows and awful lighting. It turned off the lights. They texted us when our glasses were ready and of course they werent even ready. Awful, awful, awful experience

My husband accidentally sat on his glasses while we were visiting Alaska. On our return we stopped in at Stanton Optical with the hope they could repair them. It was a long shot because they were metal and could have snapped. The technician was our hero. Only took a couple of minutes (but very difficult to do) and they were good as gold. No charge, and wonderful staff. So helpful and efficient. Highly recommend Stanton Optical!!!

Wàsnt looking forward to getting my eye exam and possibly having to get glasses. That all changed the minute I walked into the store. I was greeted by every staff member. They got me into my exam right away. When it was time to pick out frames everyone was so helpful when I asked if they looked ok on me ( I tried on almost every pair they had!) These gentlemen know how to make things right. When I first went in for my exam, I was expecting to receive the frames same day. Unfortunately, I was going to need to wait a couple of weeks. Which I am understanding of because some things are simply out of our control. A month goes by and I finally get a call only 1 pair is ready. The other pair broke upon delivery. It was a little frustrating but also, I was just stoked to see again, it’s been YEARS since I’ve owned glasses and desperately needed them! So I was okay with one pair for the time being. The Manager, however, wanted to make things right! I was able to pick ANY PAIR at ANY PRICE I liked and they weren’t going to charge me. They were so apologetic about everything and just made this process easy! Great customer service and friendly service! I definitely recommend this Stanton location to anyone in the San Diego area!

Awesome experience! Called Thursday 10/5 to schedule an appointment for Friday 10/6, the woman who answered said they could see me today so I went right in! Was greeted by everyone and then helped by Ivan Pena, who got me situated with the pre-tests and then the real eye test. Afterwards, Ivan was very thorough about explaining my receipt and my prescription, and helped me understand more. Overall great experience! Today we got eye exams and two pairs of glasses each for two of my kids. The whole staff was wonderful, helpful and kind. He helped out a lot would recommend everyone to come to this location. Got in an appointment same day, completed eye exam virtually with a optometrist, got prescription, contacts and 3 pairs of glasses (progressive) for less than it would have cost me through insurance. Now just eagerly awaiting the glasses to be ready. Everyone was very friendly and it took less time than an appointment at my previous vision center would have taken, including the wait time even with an appointment. Originally, I had wanted to go to a different location to get my eye exam as well as my contact lenses/glasses, but that place ended up closing early for the day. Saddened by this, I had decided to try my luck at Stanton Optical. When I walked in, I was met by a man named Brian Smith, who, right a way, knew what he was doing. Youll know who he is instantly because his beard is on point, no joke. Anyways, he gave me a great deal on contacts and glasses and brightened my day. I especially received great customer service from Noor . when I was looking at glasses to choose from Noor was very helpful in showing me a variety of the different options that were available for the type of glasses I typically like. She took the time to ask me what style I liked before showing me which was great because other places will often just show you really expensive styles. This place was really great, I was able to get an eye exam and glasses the same day, the whole thing took less than an hour. Never gotten glasses that fast before. What a good deal, from start to finish it only took 30 minutes. Haykal helped us and was very friendly and helpful. What. An. Experience. Brian Smith is THE MAN. He went above and beyond as soon as I walked in the door and it just kept getting better. I was looking through reviews to see how peoples experiences were and I kept seeing Brian Smith this..Brian that... and then most interesting one I saw was referring to him as the Red-Bearded King. I was like okay who is this guy I hope I get to meet him, and there he was, red beard and all greeting me and reassuring I would be helped shortly and showed me where I could wait. The customer he was helping out was already raving about his service and commenting how friendly, fast and professional he was and I couldnt wait to be next. After his customer left he came right up to me, gave me a firm hand shake, introduced himself and showed me to his desk to help. I told him what I needed and he got right to work. In the past these type of visits always took hours to complete and he assured me he can get me In and out in about 30-45 and there was just no way that was possible but he boy did he show me wrong. We did the exam very quickly and painlessly, he also gave me advice on how to keep my eye open when they puff the air into you eyes (probably my least favorite test), TLDR If were to tell anyone that needs glasses/contacts I would refer them to this La Mesa Branch and look for Brian Smith The Red King Of Stanton.It was my first time coming into to Stanton and it certainly wont be the last solely because of Mr. Smith.

Life saver! My eyes had been bad for the past month. I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I’ve always had great customer service. Today Noor, at the La Mesa location, went above and beyond to help me with my prescription sunglasses that broke suddenly. I wear them more than I wear any other pair of glasses since I do a lot of day driving; I love them! So I wanted to get them repaired ASAP! Apparently I went at the busiest time possible. While waiting I noticed Noor’s professionalism and great customer service skills. She was polite and helpful. She acknowledged each customer and remained calm under the pressure of more and more people coming. I literally walked in, blind. LOLThe stem broke on my ONLY pair of glasses and I needed a quick fix. Super friendly people and great value on routine eye exam and glasses! I had to go in once I saw the ad for their all-inclusive eye exam with two glasses, and with anti-glare lenses. Though the selection was small, they had some pretty good quality frames. Can’t get any better value than this, it was all inclusive with $79 AND they didn’t charge tax.Usually they do same day fitting with lenses on glasses, it just so happened my lenses weren’t in stock so I have to wait a week or two.They were super accommodating and friendly too! The eye exam was conducted very quickly, and within about 30 minutes I done with just about everything.I truly suggest you come in and check them out, if you’re looking for quality service and budget-friendly glasses!

I walked in December 1st to an empty store. At least there were no customers. There was one young woman seated behind what I perceived to be a welcome kiosk, so I went over there to talk with her, but she continued doing whatever it is people do with their pocket computer gadgets. I stood and watched her for over 30 seconds while she completely ignored me. She finally looked up after I said Excuse me, I hope Im not interrupting. Just then a one-eyed guy with extremely bad breath walked up as another female employee rushed in from outside saying I need a break. The one-eyed guy asked if I wanted glasses or contacts, then led me to a seat in a waiting area, where I sat for 20 minutes while no one else seemed to be doing anything. The first girl went back to doing her phone thing. After 20 minutes, the one who was now finished with her break came out and escorted me into the preliminary examination room. After that I was led into the secondary exam room, where a slightly older woman welcomed me on a TV screen as I sat in the dark room alone. She seemed in a great hurry to get through this exam. It seemed my virtual presence was more of an annoyance than a job. After rushing through the which is better? A or B? questions, someone printed out a prescription which had a PRINTED signature of someone who wasnt even involved. The one-eyed guy helped me select some frames and said my new glasses would be ready in a week or two. When I went in again 10 days later to pick them up, they didnt seem quite right but I drove home wearing them anyway. After a couple of days of trying to adjust my eyes to this new prescription, I decided it was wrong. The hurried exam had produced an inaccurate result. I called back and asked if I could get a personal exam with a real eye doctor in the room. They made an appointment for me the next Wednesday, which is the ONLY day of the week I could get an in-person exam. That exam was unhurried. The doctor (if she was one) was very patient with me as I struggled to do the exam again. These old eyes get very tired doing that, and she understood. Finally today, January 7, five weeks after my initial visit, I picked up my new set of eyeglasses with the correct prescription. I would have to give them a very low grade for customer service and caring. But I did end up with what I went in there for. I will be using a different provider in the future.

Went in to get much needed vision test. Made appt. online, got in, and was taken care of immediately. Test was mostly virtual, but three phases were done in 15min. or so. Then you go to shop for glasses. I first began looking for two pair for the $79 deal, but quickly realized that those were not made very well, and mostly for people who need readers and didnt want to spend a lot of money. I opted for BOGO free, and though expensive, if you have to wear them all the time, you best not cheap out. Not my first time visiting Stanton Optical but my first time at this location. I was met by Haykel Najeeb and another employee who I forgot to get his name to pick out some frames. Haykel helped me to narrow my frame selection to 2 and take some measurements to get the right fit. I met another nice employee to do the first part of the exam with the light and the air pressure test. Dr. Susan Houchin did the second part of the eye exam and she was very nice. She did a great job helping me make the best choices for my prescription. She also told me about a problem with my left eye that I didnt know about. I was told different things in the past but she let me know what she saw during the exam. I just got my new glasses over the weekend and Im very happy with them. I opted for some different things that I didnt get the first time. Im glad I did because my new glasses are much better than my old ones. Technology is always changing. Im so happy with the team at Stanton Optical for taking care of me. My new glasses are really nice and comfortable. Progressive lenses arent cheap but worth every penny

Theyre customer service is great, theyre lab where they make the glasses is questionable. When i got prescription lenses for my rayban sunglasses the lab messed up twice. From start to finish it took 2 months, but they gave it to me free of charge. The second time i got Transition lenses and they put the wrong lense and it didnt transition, took another week got it back then the frames broke a few a hours later, it just snapped. They did replace the frame free of charge. I think there was too much tension on the frame. The employees are nice and accommodating, but there lab seems could do better.

Today I can in and was greeted by staff that was a start of a. Good experience. I walked around looking at the different glasses and once I was done one of the staff members went over the frames I choose. Then he help me with the system to be able to get my eye exam. Once that was done he walked me out the the waiting room to be seen by the Dr for my full exam.she came out shortly after in the waiting. Had an appointment yesterday and came in earlier than I meant to, and was seen super fast. They were really flexible with my schedule and made it work. Hozan helped me with my eye exam and she was super fun to work with. Such a breathe a fresh air, really made the experience so fun and so laid back. Haykiel helped my husband and I with our glasses and broke down the prices so well. He was upfront about everything we were gonna be paying. He was very informative (my first time having exam and first time getting glasses) and he educated me on the type of lenses. I am writing about my experience at the Stanton Optical in the Grossmont La Mesa location.I was using an old broken pair of eye glasses that I would crazy glue ever day so they wont fall apart on me.My eye glass frame were on its last leg, they fell apart. Due to my economical situation and started working again. I had no choice, I needed to buy new frames!So I called Stanton Optical to find out if they still carry my old frames that would fit my lenses. I did some price comparisons before I decided to make an appointment with Stanton for contacts. Since I have astigmatism most places up-charge for that but when I was on the phone with one of their rep he assured me it was $89 regardless of my astigmatism or not so I was pretty ecstatic about that. Made my appointment for the next day.When I came in, Hillary was the first to greet me even though she was helping another customer, which I wouldve understood if she hadnt since she was already helping someone out. She got me checked in very quickly after and was very pleasant. John was also very helpful and extremely nice as well. He told me just the right information I needed so I didn’t have a lot of questions after and kept me informed of my prescription through out the entire process. After the eye exam, because their prices were pretty awesome I decided to grab a six month supply of contacts for 130, and a pair of glasses for around 15, since Hillary gave me an option of purchasing a pair of glasses with a promotion price with ordering the contacts as well. I went home with a pair of contacts on the spot since they had my prescription, and only spent 370. Which seems like a lot for even myself because this is my first time purchasing eye glasses and contacts for myself, but I got a pretty good deal compared to how much I would’ve spent with with my previous optometrist that my dad goes to (with much better customer service as well) and other optical stores. Plus my appointment was at 10, and I was out in 45-50 minutes, which I spent about 15-20 of that looking at frames for myself.Over all my first experience here was awesome. I did read the reviews from previous years before I even decided to come here when there were a lot of complaints but my experience has been nothing but very professional and pleasantly easy. I’m definitely coming back here from now on for any problems and optical needs I might have.

I chose the eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $79 and I expected to have only one option and for there to be hidden fees. There were many more to choose from than I had anticipated and no hidden fees. Everybody was so nice and super attentive. I wasnt expecting a telehealth eye exam but it was no different than the usual eye exam (except the doctor was remote). BRIAN SMITH SAVED MY LIFE: a super sick true storyBrian Smith was the associate that helped me out with my appointment today. From the beginning, I was able to make an appointment and fill out my information really quickly online, and the employees were able to help me out as soon as I set foot in the store, which was about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. From there, I got my eye exams done within minutes and then went for my contact lens fitting. Brian took me into the room so I could put on the trial lenses, and for some reason I started seizing. Palms sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy, mom’s spaghetti. Brian had a sixth sense and knew something was wrong— sprinted the entire length of the store like a red bearded, sunburnt cheetah. I was immediately resuscitated, and somehow his glasses stayed on the whole time (those frames be supes snug with those tiny screw drivers he uses to tighten the arms of them joints). After being CPR’d away from never opening my astigmatized eyes again, we continued with my contact lens fitting and Brian was really receptive to the fact that I hated the previous brand of lenses that I used from a different (very unballer) optometrist and instead recommended bi-weekly ones that have been a much better fit for me so far. Brian (insert possible baller middle name) Smith changed the trajectory of my life & I can now see the road while I drive which is dope too.

My first experience at Stanton Optical was great last year my daughter needed glasses right before school started and the manager made sure that I got her glasses within a few days it was awesome. This year on September 1st I went and get an eye exam and ordered two pair of glasses it took ***23 days*** for me to get my glasses this does not include fitting, I was very disappointed when I went to pick up my glasses she said only one pair were ready well when I received the email that my glasses were ready they did not specify that only one pair were ready so I had her send them to me when when they were complete and ready, this is so disappointing I will never be a customer at Stanton Optical again I will take my money and my customer service elsewhere they are very short-staffed and it was a very disappointing experience.
