Its a bustling place packed with people usually... Occasional live bands, choice of Irish drinks and beers on tap, pretty decent food menu make this a really good Irish place to hangout at.

Great place to bring the family for hearty lunch or dinner. My favorite dish is the Irish pub curry with fries. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a brunch menu as well that was well received for the corned beef scramble and the A. This is popular for soccer fans!

After seeing a bon appetit video on Gordon Ramsays Scotch eggs we decided to order this. Weve enjoyed the burgers, fish and chips, pies and curry at St Stephens so this was a new thing to try. The egg was well done and I think it would be better if it was more soft cooked. The sauce could also use some spice, maybe a horseradish version could be offered. All in all we enjoyed hanging out at the bar - the bartenders and servers were friendly and it was a festive atmosphere with the holiday decorations up and the ugly sweater party. Would come back and probably stick to our usually favorites.

Wow so many food options for vegetarian now :) I just wish more great craft beer options as well. The last time we were there, it was good. We were able to get a good IPA and stout but previous times, nah. Its like hit or miss.

I totally loved this place! The ambience was just right, it has diverse options to order from and after hunting multiple pubs, this is where I ultimately found my stout beer! Plus, the service was quick, the staff courteous, and the location, just perfect! We also ordered the cheese balls, the plant based patty burger and the droolacious shepherds pie ❤️

Yesterday I met 3 buddies here for Beer and Dinner! Luck of the IRISH was not with us since Happy Hours are only honored Monday, Wed.Thu and Fridays! We ordered Crispy Chicken, House Burger and Koby Burgers along with the Fish and Chips. The portions were good with plenty of fries.But the service is a bit difficult cause it appears they only had 3 people covering the entire place!! We had to go pick up the drinks from the bar. There is no table service! That also led to some confusion and they ended up charging us for 2 more beers!!The other negative about the place is noise! The place was LOUD and we had to literally yell to hear each other. The noise level is enough justification to avoid the place, but get the food to go.

The atmosphere is fun and inviting. Our server and hostess were kind and attentive. The food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. It is a little pricey for what you get. I ordered the southwestern burger ($17) and a drink ($9). They are pretty heavy handed with the liquor in their cocktails which makes them worth the price.

Friend and I split the fish and chips and the chile burger. Both were amazing. Perfectly cooked, great flavor.Service was friendly and attentive.Atmosphere felt like I dove into an old pub in Ireland in the 60s. I told my friend it felt like I should be smoking while there (in the best way possible).

So I didn’t see any bouncers, I didn’t get charged as cover charge, the food was great and the staff was pleasant and attentive. this was a Thursday at 6 o’clock but still I would come back. I had a steak pie and a beer it was really good. My only beef, see what I did here was, there were only four pieces of steak in it but it still had a great flavor.EDIT, on my way out the door I got to meet the new general manager. Really nice guy been in the industry for a while and you could tell that the attitude of the staff had changed, from the reviews that I had read before going to this restaurant. If you visited and had a one star experience, I highly recommend you go back because I think your review would change. So another words give me another chance.

Fun location for bar trivia, but definitely lacking on the food and drink side. We have tried several different dishes from this location while there for bar trivia, and would heavily not recommend anything with bacon (it was charred to the point it was inedibly hard). The fried cauliflower was ok, but in a very small portion for the price. Regular fries are good though.

Service and Atmosphere. Sadly, good service and comfortable atmosphere can only take you so far. Food and drink have to play a role, and here the role is only a bit part. It’s not that the food is bad, it’s just glaringly mediocre yet priced far above its quality. But, perhaps I just didn’t order the right thing. Beer was good though...I must say the service was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not in a pushy or rushing manner. They seemed to relate well with their customers and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Combined with the cozy wood decor and numerous TVs for watching football, it is a nice little bar.Food is only 2 star, but the service is 5 star.

Our waitress was great - very attentive and spoke Spanish. The main problem was the clientele who came in literally shouting inappropriately. I have been in many pubs and nobody has ever behaved in that fashion previously.

Dropped in at 12:45 on 8/5/19 at the enticement of seeing Shepards Pie on the menu posted outside. So glad I did! Generous bowl with way more tasty beef than creamy mashers. Served with beautiful assorted lightly sauteed veggies. I had to ask Gilbert, the attentive Barman, for a take out box. My half Scots Irish soul is happy! 😋

Came here for brunch. Very underwhelmed by the food and service. Ordered the American breakfast, it was supposed to have 3 strips of bacon but did not. Eggs were also super oily and overall good was not that good.Waitress didnt write down our order resulting in her coming back a few times to confirm what it was we ordered and us having to ask multiple times for items that we did order (drinks).Not a fan and wont be back.

This is a great sports bar, with unfussy food and drinks, plus bar snacks. Lots of tables inside and out so always somewhere to sit. Decent late night happy hour too! Plus a weekend DJ and dancefloor. Would love to see some better wines though.

Quality local bar. It had a nice atmosphere and is my go to for any sports. Lots of TVs and they pull down a couple of projectors for big games. The beer selection is solid, but the food is a bit pricey for what you pay for. I guess thats to be expected for the Bay Area... Overall highly recommend over the other bars in. Mountain View.

The most friendly and social place in mountain view by far. Every other restaraunt here is targeted at overspenders or introverts. This is a place where you can call the owner (I did... when I forgot my 💻 and they helped me!).Thanks so much for being a bastion of community here in mountain view. Food is fine, service is fine, atmosphere is fine. Its a pub with pub grub. The wings are meh, but the brunch options are surprisingly good, as are the fish n chips. Beer selection is what youd expect and you can get a Black Velvet or a Snake Bite and they know what youre talking about.Can get *really* loud inside on weekend nights depending on where youre sitting relative to the speakers. The people watching tho can be fantastic.

Trivia Monday night at 8pm is awesome. Whole bar is filled with people playing. Mostly Stanford students but we didn’t do that bad comparatively! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, typical Irish bar feel. The wait staff is super nice. The trivia host was funny and I really like how they put all the questions on the screen, and some where photos or music questions where they played the music too. We just got beer and I really like the section of beer they have. The Cali creemin was very good. I would totally come back.

A nice Irish pub on Castro, with outdoor seating on the street and a classic wood grain interior motif. The shepherds pie arrived hot and tasted great, with plenty of ground beef under the mash top. The side of vegetables was buttery and well cooked. Best of all, this pub serves Smithwicks, a true Irish ale.

We waited a while to order our drinks, then he never brought one drink we ordered because he forgot and the food took a while to come out and our waiter did not stop by to make sure we were good. St. Stephens Green is not a particularly welcoming place for people who suffer from celiac disease because they have no gluten free beers (unlike Ludwigs). Its also a struggle to eat anything because so many of the items contain gluten or are cross contaminated with gluten (e.g. I cant have the fries). I am a regular customer (have been for years) and I go because my friends like the place, but I tend to have a miserable experience.

Trivia is really fun at Stephens Greene, the questions are great / challenging and the service is fast! However, the speaker volume is notoriously too loud, you cant hear anyone sitting next to you. This makes everyone else try to talk even louder including the host. I know Im channelling my inner grandpa with this complaint, but its regularly over 100 DB in this place. Its not an uncommon sight to see the majority of people plugging their ears.

I went on a Saturday night where the music playing was very catered to the millennial crowd and it was a blast. The DJ kept the tunes coming (which had accompanying music videos) and the crowd was loving every minute of it. Great spot. We come here when we get a chance, usually earlier in the evening. I always have the fish and chips which is just great. The selection of beer is also good and the atmosphere is casual. Service is friendly and fast thought they are a little understaffed when it gets full. The big surprise was how kid friendly this place is around 5 or 6 and the happy hour is a steal.

A fun bar with generous servings of a wide selection of alcohol and late night food. The late-night food seems a bit overpriced, expect to pay $15-20 for a few chicken tenders or an okay burger on a bed of fries. It took a few minutes to flag a server or bartender down when we want to order anything. We went here on a Friday night just before the kitchen closed. The waitress was rushing us, which was acceptable but she was also unpleasant about it. The music got louder and louder over 40 minutes as they tried to get people in/out. Not sure what they were trying to do. The bartenders were easy to catch hold of, they were attentive and pleasant. Great neighborhood-style pub in a very cool strip in downtown Mountain View. The whole street is blocked off with tents for outdoor dining, live music, the works. St. Stephens Green is right in the middle of it all. Good service, friendly staff, nice selection on tap. I cant speak for the food but the ambiance alone is worth the trip.

Their cocktail menu is relatively thin and disappointing. I enjoy places more who have some signature drinks or at least something to make them stick out. Their Old Fashions are underwhelming. But the rest of the drinks were good and the atmosphere outdoors were nice. Very friendly staff. As basic as it is, they had a really good mojito.

Food was excellent as was the service. We particularly liked sitting outside. Our only issues were needing to fight with the host to get put onto a waiting list to be seated outside. There was a game on the television, so they didnt want to take a list, assuming no one would leave. I said I didnt mind a long wait, but I wanted to sit outside. As it turned out, someone immediately left. The host accommodated us, but not very pleasantly. Meanwhile, they could have had their table back for yet another seating had the waitress brought our check more quickly, but again, I think they assumed we were there for the game, lol.

Note: their haddock fish fry could stand up to a Buffalo, NY fish fry. Have been coming to Steveies for 17 years. The staff here are friendly, the food is great and they have free trivia night on tuesday. A great place for sporting events and have come for breakfast which is also good here. During the pandemic they ran an Irish food market which is probably the best place for authentic bacon and the taste of home.

If youre looking for a place to hang with friends and have a social evening, its great here. Food and drinks were standard, it wasnt too loud but also didnt feel like a dead place. Later in the evening, they opened a dance floor with a dj. The DJ was just okay, and there were maybe just 2-3 couples at one time dancing on the floor. Ill come back if a group of friends want to hang.

If I could give 0 stars or less I would. Service was terribly slow and we had to push multiple times to get our drinks and the check.This is not the worst part though. When my friend paid for the check he did not receive his credit card back. After returning to the bar an hour later to pick up the credit card the personnel was completely unwilling to return the credit card even after providing an accurate description of the card (I own a card by the same bank and showed it) and providing two forms of ID.First the bartender, who was clearly drunk, said they couldnt find the card at all. After we pressed that we were certain the card was left here they went back to the back and later came back and showed it to us. At this point, the bartender said he couldnt give the card and wed have to come pick it up 3 days later. When asking the bartender why he could not come up with a reasonable explanation.At this point we called 911 and did our story to the emergency services. While on the phone the manager came over and returned the card to my friend.Im completely stunned that it took a 911 call to convince the personnel to return the credit card. We told the emergency services they didnt have to intervene as we got the card back.

This is one of the best places in the south bay to watch soccer. Big matches and USA team games almost always draw a pretty good crowd, though I wish they opened early for Premier League games.The food is on the better side of bar food and has always exceed expectations in terms of pub-style food. The owner started charging a cover fee with out a notice, people are just not digging the change. It use to be always pack! Now in days is a hit and miss. The DJ is also not consistent with his mix. They re-used the dirty glassware to serve you drinks. Horrible service, and the security here sucks! Even if you havent done anything wrong if they dont like you theyll ask you to leave. It happen to this couple that was next to us. I hate to say this but I think it was because they werent consuming much. I will definitely not be back to this place and I definitely dont recommend this so call night club.

Football + brunch + bottomless mimosas? Excellent combination. The food isnt superb, but I thought that the bottomless mimosa deal was awesome. For $8 you get endless refills from 9:30am - 12:00pm. It was a fun way to spend the morning, and I think it makes for a really fun activity if you and your friends enjoy watching football together since they have every game showing.Overall, I had a great time. Make sure that you adjust your expectations and realize that it is a bar, so the food isnt going to blow your mind. You also need to be forward to get service since they are a bit understaffed in the mornings.

Good staff. It was in the afternoon so service was good. Ordered chicken fingers and fries. No complaints.
