My husband took in our Travato for an oil change. They lived up to their name,they were speedy. They also topped off our fluids and even checked the tires. Definitely will go back for the next oil change.

I echo all 5 star comments about David and his professional and customer service oriented staff. He quickly diagnosed my car problems, provided affordable and effective solutions, prioritized my needs, and got the car in and out quickly. Highly recommend to anyone in the Orangevale and Folsom area. Local shop that treats its locals well. I will be going back for all regular care, particularly as dealers dont have appointments for weeks. I brought my car in unannounced and within an hour I had a new battery and oil change. Inaccurate service and full of dishonesty! I will never go back to this particular spee dee and I will recommend to go elsewhere, such as your local car dealership as they are more honest.I came in on 5/9 at 1300, I told Cody that I needed an oil change and a filter change, along with some inspections that needed to be done. Upon and during the inspection, Cody comes back and tells me that the Rear breaks are at 10%. Rotors are damaged from low brake pads. Rotors $137, Brake pads $79 and install is $187. Upon hearing this, I immediately thought that it was unusual for my rear breaks to be at 10% since the front brakes usually goes out first. Then upon further inspection, Cody informs me that there was a possible ammonia smell on my exhaust pipe and an oil leak. He quoted me $250 for a diagnosis, on top of the low brake pads and damaged rotors. Imagine going in for an oil change and then being informed that your vehicle is in a hazardous condition. Of course I was skeptical about this, so I decided to just pay for the oil change and engine filter.Upon taking my vehicle home, I took it apart with one of my buddies whos a mechanic and inspected it ourselves (We know how to work with cars). We took apart the rear brakes, and it was still fine! The brake pads where thick enough and wasnt even at 10%, also checked the rotors and it was fine and smooth! As you can see from the photos, the brake pads and rotors are completely fine, and the Spee Dee associate, Cody, tells me that its at 10% and rotors are damaged. As for the ammonia smell, there was no smell at all, cars do not leak ammonia, cars give out a certain smell, but its not ammonia, more like hydrogen sulfide and it does not smell like ammonia at all.The only thing they got right was the dry dipstick, all in all, do not take your vehicle on these types of quick oil changes because they will try to up-sell you and find something thats Wrong with your vehicle. Familiarize yourself with your vehicle and its parts so they cannot try to scam you. Or try to stick with our local car dealerships, as they are more honest than these kinds. BE SMART AND BE CAUTIOUS, WHEN IN DOUBT, GET OUT!

I paid $166 for an oil change and 17 point inspection. My car was due for an oil change so I went here since it’s local. They only changed the oil and I can’t even verify that. My fluids were not checked and were dangerously low. My tires weren’t checked. They didn’t even clean the windows as advertised. Didn’t inspect one part of my car. Took my car to the dealership because it was acting odd after the oil change and I didn’t have brake fluid. My car was fine before I let them “change the oil”. Would not recommend.

The staff here is incredible! They were all very helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to fix my windshield wiper fluid line FREE OF CHARGE after some type of rodent chewed through it! I have been getting my car serviced for a long time and I have never been to a more knowledgable and helpful place. Mechanics often get a bad rep for over charging, but the prices were fair and these gentlemen saved me money by fixing my wiper fluid line rather than having me purchase a new one. I will not be going anywhere else for services ever!

While waiting waiting for my car last week, the lead mechanic and lady from the front desk got into an ugly confrontation with a guy. The mechanic got in the guys face and demanded his tools that were being borrowed, and the guy said he wanted his motorcycle helmet. Then they all started screaming and cussing at each other!! Dont know exactly what was going on, but the mechanic was saying something about his daughter too! Then the guy stood by his motorcycle in the p-lot and stared at the shop until someone came to help him. It was crazy!! Hope they did everything right on my car with all this going on! Not going back to this ridiculous, unprofessional shop again!

Came in for an oil change as maintenance light was flashing. Another service was recommended as well and explained why it should be done. There was no pressure to sell the service. I ended up having both done. The place was very busy, but ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely plan on going back.

First time visiting a Speedee oil change location, initially thought it was a great place for lube and service, planned to come back again, 2 weeks later myself and whole family were headed south on the 5 just passed the grapevine and the car started overheating. Made it into the valley, stopped at an auto zone to investigate and coolant cap was barely threaded on leaving me to believe it wasn’t tightened properly and it was bone dry. After further digesting what happened I also remembered the lube tech did not even reset the oil change needed light ( I had to YouTube how to do this). Maybe it was a bad day for the Folsom team, but quality of work should never be subsequently jeopardized. Not sure I would recommend as I may just have to resort back to oil changes at dealerships.********follow up, owner asks for contact info but does not follow up********

Standard oil change at 09:15 am on a Wednesday. Excellent service! Technician Guillermo was polite and efficient. He greeted me quickly when I pulled up and called out to thank me as I left. Owner Tony was busy but also polite and engaging. Three of the customers were clearly regular repeat customers.

Great Service from Zach and Steve! Between the two of them, they went through my vehicle with a fine tooth comb to tune her up. Even though the job took a little longer than expected, they did a thorough job to keep her humming with over 160K miles! Very satisfied with the service and friendly staff! I will be back!

New resident to Folsom and needed a place to get my oil changed on my first ever new car. My husband and I share our vehicle and struggle to get anywhere during the week with both of us working 9-5 jobs. I called Speedee ahead as they are right down the road from me and they assured me I could come in right after 5pm since they close at 6pm on weekdays. Didn’t make me feel guilty at all. I received kind and excellent service as soon as I pulled in. The representative took down the info for my Honda HR-V and went over oil change options, he also offered advice on what might be best for the car. The oil change was done in a timely manner and they reviewed everything with me at check out. The entire staff was kind and patient, I normally don’t review places or my experiences that often online but I am definitely a customer of Speedee on Folsom-Auburn Blvd from here on out.

Took my work van to have a transmission oil change and filter replacement, as well as a oil change.Told the tech i wanted all the oil changed. And filters changed. Tech asked if i thought something was wrong with the transmission i told them that there were not records of maintenance from the previous government agency that owned it, so i wanted to make sure everything was factory done. went to pickup the van They decided to give me a flush with no transmission filter change. Was told what it took to do it, about dropping the pan and new gasket. Told them yes i have done all the maintenance of my vehicles since i was 16 i know what it takes to do a fairly straight forward but mostly time consuming task especially if you dont have a lift, which they did. The van is at 55,495 miles so even if the transmission filter was changed at the last mileage recommend then i only have about 5,000 miles left on the filter. and the van is 10 years old so it even possible that the oil was in there way past 2 years. Again making the entire service worthless and a waste of 159.00. Was told that a transmission filter is good for 200,000 miles. Which is why they didnt feel it was necessary. I would NOT recommend taking anything here. The staff was friendly though.

Last Friday 15th I took my car in for an oil change. I found Chuck whom Ive never met there before to be a breath of fresh air and I just had to tell him so. This was my best experience to date there. I truly appreciated his caring attitude, his knowledge about cars and attention to detail. I also appreciated the fact that he explained and showed me what I did not know about my brake fluid. I felt like something was not quite right with my brakes and I did not even mention it but because of Chucks attention to detail he saw what was wrong, showed me and took the time to explain to me about the brake which is a very important part of the car. Thank you Chuck, just as you said my brakes are holding like new because you cared. Keep up the good works.

What wonderful service ! The oil change was quick, and the recommendation of a new filter was presented with the old filter to inspect. There was no pressure, just a courteous and knowledgeable explanation of its purpose, and the decision was left to me. Becky was fantastic. And- I did authorize the replacement of the filter. Her recommendation, made a big difference in the performance of my car. It was like it could breathe again. Thank you Becky !

The absolute opposite of SpeeDee.I arrived at 8am and was the 3rd car to be seen. I was greeted and told my oil change & tire rotation would take 45 minutes.After an hour and forty five minutes I inquired about my vehicle and was told my tire rotation had not been completed and my oil was still being changed. I cancelled the tire rotation because I had an appointment to make. After two and a half hours my car was complete. I was apologized to, but was told it was because they were trying to focus on their failed payroll system. This was a terrible experience as a customer and I will never return.

High pressure upsells and a 55 minute oil change (once pulled in) - who knows what the jerk is doing to my car after I turned down all his upsells.. I dont trust this place anymore. And $55+ tax and fees is crazy for standard oil. Never coming here again.

I was third in line on a Saturday morning to get a simple oil change. Being my first time there, I was unclear as to the process. Do I pull up to the door or park and a mechanic will bring it inside for me? I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before being directed on how to get serviced. I feel a few signs would be hepful for first timers such as myself who need to know exactly where to put their vehicle. Once my vehicle was quoted, I waited. And I waited. And I started wondering if SpeeDee should change it’s name to something more appropriate, like SlowPoke. An hour and a half later, I finally got my vehicle back. Now, I’m not a hard guy to please - either give me exceptional product or exceptional service. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre as well. I doubt I will return.

Their mechanic Steve has worked on my car for years and I think he is the best mechanic around. He fixed my air conditioner today, and it now works great. I have had great customer experiences here on multiple occasions from oil changes to mechanical work. Tony even went the extra mile and gave me a shuttle to and from my nearby place of employment while my car had its brakes replaced. Steve was also very helpful in diagnosing and answering any questions that I had related to auto maintenance.

Victoria quickly greeted me and answered my questions regarding the oil change service. The large television screen in the waiting room provided a visual of four areas of the garage, and it looked as if the work on my car and two other cars was being completed in an efficient manner. My oil change along with other perks such as checking/inflating tire pressure and vacuuming my car took less than 15 minutes. The waiting room was inviting with a basket of fresh oranges, spring water, a Keurig machine, and an assortment of coffee and hot chocolate. The $10 off coupon I received by email was readily accepted and applied to the final cost. I am pleased with the exceptional service I received, and I will definately be returning to Spee Dee for my next oil change.

After having a $200 diagnostics, I was told I had a blown gasket. I requested a price and time quote to fix the problem. After a few days, I called and was assured all was going as planned. The next day I showed up to pick up my vehicle and was told my engine was being worked on at another shop. They told me they had no idea what was going on nor could give me a time estimate. I was absolutely not happy with this answer but my vehicle was already in pieces. I told them I wanted some answers before I was going to leave. Eventually, I was told it would cost $700 more then the estimate and take an extra 3 days. So, with car rental, this cost me $1000 more then expected. Will I ever bring my vehicle here? Not even if Im told the work is free. Its obvious they would get that estimate wrong.

I was told by another garage that I needed a new splash plate so I brought it into Speedee same time I was going to get my oil changed. Not only did they decline the oil change because they said I didnt need one yet but they put on the splash plate free of charge. While they were doing that they noticed the old one wasnt really damaged... it just lost some bolts, so instead they added a bunch of new fasteners and reattached the old one which works just fine. I was able to return the new splash plate to the dealer for $500 back and Speedee didnt even charge me for their time. Awesome company, awesome location, awesome staff! Ill never go anywhere else.

Originally I had this location at a 5 star because of one person. Steven the Lead Mechanic. With all of my dealing with them (4.5 years of constat service with my personal truck and my Van for my business) he was the only one that I felt had a good work ethic and was honest about his quotes.Over the last few trips into this facility, I had several communication problems with the services I asked for not happening. This would happen often when I would request a tire rotation and someone other than Steven (Becca or one of the younger guys) would make the call that it was not needed, but I was charged for it.This had even been verified by Tony when he had gone back over his tapes, but I never got a call from Tony to let me know. I had to go in and then Becca or someone would say, yeah, we missed that.Needless to say I will not be taking any of my business back here. Good luck to Tony and his team, because without Steven, I will never take my vehicles there.

These guys are amazing and really went above and beyond for me. I will forever be grateful for the work they’ve put in for me and my truck. Came in to get my baby smogged, passed no problem. Homeboy Cody said he noticed my number 2 spark plug was loose and that he’d give them all a tightening down for me. They had me in and out just like that. Unfortunately, later that night the truck threw a misfire code so I took it back the next day and Cody, once again, came in clutch. Although we didn’t find the source of the misfire, he did everything he could to track it down which was more than I ever expected. Him and his co workers did what they could to help me out and I will forever appreciate them for what they’ve done for me. Y’all go to these guys because they will make sure you’re taken care of!

Got a coupon from Penny Savers for oil change and tire rotation. They did fine with the oil change, but like some of the other reviewers, watch out for the upsales. I was questioned on when was the last time I had the power steering changed and I stated it had been done recently. Review your service manual before going in to see what scheduled service is due

I just bought my Jeep and had it checked by the Jeep dealership a few months ago. Everything was fine until I brought it in for a oil change, I come back and they say I need a new oil filter house which just “randomly breaks”. They said it would be $700 to fix but when I dropped it off they changed their estimate to over $1000! My car was fine before I went there, I definitely don’t recommend this place at all. They’re sketchy and desperate for money.

Im really irritated that we brought our vehicle here to get smogged and after we waited for 40 minutes we were told to go elsewhere because they we expecting BAR inspectors and didnt want a older vehicle in their shop during the inspectors visit. What a joke. Ive been going here for years and although they NEVER fill my tires like they are supposed to I let it slide because they are usually friendly and have a good price. Disappointed and wont be going back.

I’ve been using SpeedDee continuously for years and have never been disappointed. They are kind and very reasonable. I had additional minor issues they brought to my attention but in no way pressured me. When I said no thank you he kindly said, no problem and finished out the service. Highly recommended!! Let me start by saying that I normally dont write reviews, and am not the type of person to make a stink about customer service; and I surely dont want to waste my time on the computer writing about crappy customer service. I have worked in retail management for many years and know what its like to experience an unhappy customer. I went to Speedee to get my Jeep smogged and it ended up not passing (I had a coupon for $34.99 smog check ). The tech told me that since it didnt pass he would give me half off my next test (which would make the re-test $17.49)- great service. I brought my other car back for an oil change the other day, great service. Today, my husband and I brought two cars (including the Jeep which needed re-testing) back to Speedee for smogs. The girl rings up my Nissan for $49.99 at which point I ask her why its that much since it says on a giant balloon thing outside that the price is $39.99. She didnt know. If youre going to advertise a sale, make sure your employees know. No big deal. Then she rings up the Jeep (which I was supposed to get half price- the guy told me- my fault for not getting it in writing). I tell her the tech said he would give me half price (the whole reason I went back there in the first place- without coupons they are expensive). She gets the manager who says that $30 IS half price. Since when is $30 half of $50? Basic arithmetic. I tell them first of all, Im supposed to be charged HALF PRICE- HALF OF WHAT I PAID LAST TIME. The manager says the guy that told me had no idea of how much I paid since I used a coupon, and that their re-tests are $30. First of all, half of 50 is 25, NOT 30, and second of all Im not paying 30 since I was told I would pay half.Long story short, the manager was not accommodating (although he liked to think he was by giving me $5 off of the $30 price, which it should have been to begin with since thats the ACTUAL half price). I didnt want to make to much of a stink, and I know that they dont want to lose money, but they shouldnt be telling paying customers things that arent true.Working as a manager myself, I ALWAYS made sure the customer was happy. Its not about the money, its about the PRINCIPLE. I dont care of its 5 cents for 500 dollars- you should pay what you are promised.Speedee lost two paying customers today thanks to sub-par customer service. We will not be going back there and will be spending our money elsewhere.What a joke. HONOR THE PRICE YOU PROMISE.

My car’s alternator went out in the intersection and I was able to coast in to Speedy. 4 hours later they had me on my way with fantastic service! The owner even gave me a ride and spared me the Lyft cost.

Called ahead to get a smog done. I was told its first come first served. No problem. Took the vehicle to them and was told theres no way they can take care of it. I told them I had just called and was told to come in. He said no, no way, only one guy can do it and hes too busy. Only two vehicles there in the oil change bay, and three guys standing around. I brought my taurus in for an inspection for an oil leak. I told the mechanic Steve I think its the oil pan gasket. After a look her confirmed it was the gasket and said its an easy job I could do since I told him I did the valve cover gaskets. I drove it home dripping oil all the way and after I had the car lifted and undrained off oil I noticed one single bolt I couldnt get to. So I call around 2 and ask if it was too late. Guess he leaves at 4 so they said bring it tomorrow. Well tomorrow comes and I bring it in first thing in the morning. Leaving oil all the way again I wait for almost 40 minutes for them to tell me they couldnt get to it till Tuesday. Thats a four days wait. Some other employee who cut his finger told me to park it at my house and wait. I use this car for my job so I called Jiffy Lube in Folsom and they did the job in about 2 hours and cheaper then the estimate from speedy oil. Im shocked speedy oil was more concerned with making money by keeping all mechanics for oil changes instead of helping someone stop leaving puddles of oil everywhere.

Simple oil change done on a Friday. 1st ever oil leak noted over weekend. Wife went back on Monday & was told that the plug was faulty (never was mentioned before). Leak again noted on Tuesday/Wednesday. This time I took car back & was greeted by a cheerful Want an oil change by the same guy who fixed it on Monday. He comes back up from under the car and says the plug was not tightened properly, but if there is another problem, come on back. Lets hope not. It is obvious that in two trips it wasnt done properly. I really dont want a 4th visit. If I do come back Ill deal with the owner/manager. Manager was doing the windshield and was as uninterested as possible. They left the hood unlatched, but did close the drivers door just before I got in. Amazing customer service!! It leaked again & this time I went under the car at their shop to see for myself. Manager said it wasnt tightened properly & FIXED it. I looked at my right front tire, 30 away from the drain plug, & I could see metal braids on the inside sidewall of the tire. Amazed, I said You guys were under here at least 4 times & no one even bothers to mention this??? (I Bought 4 new tires 15 minutes later)Worthless group! My engine would have fried! Speedee boys stripped the plug by overtightening it!!! I still have the pan if anyone is interested.Had to replace the pan. Didnt want to waste anymore time with these incompetent people at Speedee. ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE WORK & WORSE customer service!!!STAY AWAY if you value your SAFETY!! AWAY AWAY!!

I will never ever go to a Speedee again. I called to make an appointment, was told not to worry about it as long as Im in by 3 i would be in and out within the hour. Drove up at 1 and the attendant acted put out I even showed up. He sayed you have to leave your car for a while. I decided that if theyre going to lie to me on the phone why would I leave my car somewhere like that. The attendant lost his mind. These people are rude and I will never do business with them again. Youve been warned.

All of the mechanics are friendly, go out of the way to check things I was concerned about and are very transparent. Mom and Pop shop vibe where you feel like you’re talking to someone who cares instead of someone who doesn’t care just working a 9-5er for the money. They’re all funny and welcoming. But he did not and told me he had to walk away I mean who does that shh nah mean ... So I was upset charged me for a half and hour when he was two hour long wasted my whole freaking Saturday ...
