Sheen and his team are friendly, hard-working, and knowledgeable professionals. They completed an ADU Garage Conversion so that my elderly mother could live with us and yet have her own space. And the project turned out wonderfully! Unlike some contractors Ive worked with in the past, they are very responsive in terms of communication and patiently answer all your questions. Outside unforeseen reasonable changes, they kept to their estimate. When an issue surfaced a few months later with our mini-split, they were quick to diagnose the problem and correct it. I always felt that their interest in my familys welfare was genuine, and appreciated their support throughout the entire process. I would recommend them.

Sheen has done work for us in the past so when we had a flood in the house we did not hesitate to contact Sheen to help with this whole house remodel. Sheen and workers, especially Francisco, did an outstanding job in getting our home completed, from new cabinets, flooring, drywall, new kitchen and painting throughout they made our house brand new! So appreciative in getting this completed so quickly, once insurance paid up!

We’ve used Specialty Home Improvement for multiple projects on our house (kitchen remodel, 3 bathroom remodels, outdoor bbq island remodel) and each time we’ve been extremely happy with our experience and the final result. Sheen and his crew are very professional and respectful. They show up when they say they will and let us know when they won’t be coming, which is something that doesn’t seem to be common among contractors. We’ve recommended Specialty Home Improvement to many people and I wouldn’t hesitate to have them work on any future projects at our house.

We engaged SHI to do a bathroom remodel. My partner had some design ideas, and Sheen worked with her on the design to not only implement her vision, but also made some helpful suggestions, including removing an interior bathroom wall and door. I cannot speak highly enough of SHI. It was a turnkey solution. Other contractors make big promises, but do not deliver. Or they have cut rate prices, and then the job last six months and is plagued with problems and poor workmanship. Not SHI. Sheen and Marshall regularly communicated and were often present most of the job days. SHI provided electronic tools for job and cost tracking. I found the timeline extremely helpful. The work was great and of the highest quality. The end-of-job punch list was minimal, and SHI noticed a couple items I had not. Moreover, they knocked out the punch list in short order. From design to finish, it was the easiest remodel I have experienced (this is my third bathroom remodel in different houses over the last five years). Incredibly, SHI was on time (early in fact), and under budget. The bathroom is beautiful. I recommend SHI without qualification.

Specialty Home Improvement renovated two bathrooms and my kitchen in 2020. They did a great job, and we love the new space. But their customer service goes above and beyond the initial build. Recently, I had an issue with a water leak in one of the showers so I sent a note to my rep, and they came by the very next day to look at the situation. After 4 years, now that is customer service.

A year into COVID, it was difficult to find any available worthwhile contractors. Either everyone was price gouging or the price sounded too good to be true. After a few long conversations with Sheen, I felt comfortable to move forward with Home Specialty building my ADU. At my request, I was pretty involved from day one. As a new homeowner I wanted to get a glimpse of how things are suppose to be done. Sheen kicked me over a website with the schedule and contract all on display for me to follow. I would youtube every bit of the process and learn it myself and then watch it be done. Nearly everything was spot on and professional. Sheen answered all my questions promptly in person/or called as they came up. He was always honest, which is not what I always wanted to hear, but which goes a long way these days. By the end of the project, I was happy I ultimately went with Sheen.

Met Sheen at the Del Mar home show. First person we talked to. We talked to several contractors after that. We chose Sheen. He was always on time for our appointments. Had great ideas and the results were amazing. Sheen has a great team behind him. From Karen in the office and Eric his project manager. If you are looking for an amazing remodel I strongly suggest hire Sheen and his Team. Being stuck at home hasnt been so bad since our remodel.Thank you Sheen.

Sheen and his team were recommended to us and we have had an excellent experience. We did a complete remodel of our master bathroom, removed an exterior window and created the relaxing oasis we were hoping for. All we had were high level ideas and Sheen‘s design acumen and creativity translated these into a plan. The team is very communicative and stayed on schedule. My favorite elements of the project include a steam shower, soaking tub with custom African mahagony wainscoting surround and floating vanity. We couldn’t be more pleased and we highly recommend Speciality Home Improvement.

Ive used Specialty Home Improvement for multiple remodels and will use them again. They do what they say when they say theyll do it and are great at communication when issue come up as they always do on a remodel.
