Dr. Shim is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever been to. I found her after getting frustrated with the disorganization of my previous vet.She is happy to answer all your questions and is very thorough with her work.My little lioness needed surgery, and her condition worsened before the procedure - but the doctor has been very on top of everything. She called me the morning after and even responded to my email the day I took her home.It is going to be a long recovery, but I feel very supported by Dr. Shim and am confident that the outcome will be good.

Dr Chiang and her team is awesome. Everyone is so sweet and caring. The office is clean and modern, and parking spots in the back is a big plus for me. I think my cat prefers the cat tree here than what we have at home.

Great service. Each room is set up to be as comfortable as it can be for your pet. It’s not impossible to get in a last minute appointment. Dr Shim is very friendly and thoughtful. She will call back to check on your pet. :)This is an updated review. I’m adding one more star. Nala got sick again recently and had to come in for checkups and procedures. First of all, southpaws is the only vet that has availability within the day. They sounded concerned on the phone and offered to move up our appointment due to a last minute cancellation. We really appreciate that!On top of that, Dr Shim happens to be seeing Nala again and she’s so gentle and thoughtful. She would patiently listen to all of our concerns, answer any questions from us and provide us with the best possible plan for Nala. Having her as Nala’s doctor is our luck. Doctors like her is not easy to find nowadays. So thank you so much, Dr Shim!

I came to this vet by a recommendation from Jess Rona grooming in Larchmont. And my experience here with Southpaw Vet was WOW!When I called to book, they had availability immediately for the next day as I was in need for an appointment ASAP. Was told they also have online booking available to view other time slots if I wanted to book that way for future reference. It was a swift booking via phone. Ample parking in the back of building was nice.Everyone I interacted with were so nice and caring! The front receptionist in the middle with pink scrubs was very nice and handed us a bandana with their signature calming spray on it while we waited.The waiting area is modern, spacious and CLEAN. Very nice touch with the picture decor and a nice little refreshment bar of coffee, tea and water. They had a TV playing which was nice to distract and pass time than be on my phone.The first assistant took us to the room and took all the important information about my senior dog and the concern for the visit. I didnt feel rushed when talking about my concerns. When Dr. Connie Chiang entered the room, it wasnt a long wait from the first assistant to Dr. Connie, unlike other vet clinics.Dr. Connie is super awesome and genuinely caring and listened to my concern. She was thoroughly informed by the first assistant and I felt relieved because I could discuss more in detail of my concerns. She spent quite a bit of time with us answering my questions and explaining what the next steps are. I never felt this much attention to my senior baby. And again, not once did I feel rushed with the vet, Dr. Connie. Loved how my senior pup slept during our consultation. 🩶Then I met her two assistants, Amy and Molly. They are amazing, very caring and informative like Dr. Connie!! They answered my concerns and if they didnt know the answer they immediately went to ask and was back in a few mins.One thing that truly stood out, is how they all sit down and take the time to talk to you. That really made the relationship between pet parents and the staff. I will definitely be back to see Dr. Connie Chiang and her staff!Update: 9/11/2023Everyone here are still amazing! Come here regularly for LED Laser treatment for my dogs arthritis. Definitely see a big difference in her walk. Thank you!

Lovely office, wonderful and friendly team, and great experience. Dr Braham was amazing — kind, thorough, honest, and very patient with our many questions. She obviously cares about her patients and didn’t try to rush us out of there. We really felt like our cat Paul was in good hands with every person he met. So glad Southpaw was recommended to us!

Came in for an international travel certificate for my two puppies. Love the office set up and how it looks. The receptionist already knew who was coming in and was understanding of one of my pups barking because he was scared. Room was nicely clean and it has a board with patient names. Puppies were offered treats and they have options to choose from depending on what protein they prefer. It was our first time here and the treats and toys offered helped my puppies feel more comfortable and I appreciate that very much. 10/10 recommend vet is informative and will answer any questions you have.Thank you!Krillen & Zuko

We moved from the Bay Area 4 months ago and we were looking a reliable place to stablish care for our senior chi. I’m so relieved that we found southpaw.The team is very caring. Prices are disclosed on the website so you have an idea how much you expect the spend on the visit. They also present an estimate and there is no push for you to do it all - they talk to you about the plan and alternatives and steps for the treatment plan.So far, my chi had 3 visits. She had to stay for 8 hours to do testing and they updated me with pictures.I’m always worried about my dog and trying to do the best I can. They are patient, answer all questions, and deals well with my human “anxiety “.

We just had the most extraordinary veterinary experience we’ve ever had with any of our pets. Southpaw Vets is the Vanguard of vets. The kindness of everyone there, the incredible atmosphere and of course our interaction with Dr. Chiang. Dr. Chiang was everything we hoped for and wanted to have in a personal experience. She was, absolutely extraordinary. We wanted to let everybody know how incredible these people are and everyone should bring their pets to this heavenly office. This place has 5 stars for a reason. Dr. Shin was exceedingly attentive, responded to our battery of questions and gave updates while tests were taking place. The technicians and receptionists were equally caring and explanatory. Amazing bed side manner. They put up with us calling for details after the fact, and the front desk was exceedingly prompt with sending records. Exactly what we are looking for for our pup and looking forward to him going here forever. Thank you for giving Shadow lots of love!And they respond to reviews! Although i think its gone bc i edited mine to add this....sry! :(

We love southpaw Vets!Easy to book appointments. The staff is very friendly and professional but specially We love our Vet ! Dr. Chiang is the best,She is kind and extremely caring and knowledgeable, she always takes excellent care of our senior dog.
