Ive been a patient here for a couple years now. The care is amazing. You are treated with compassion and respect. Never once did I feel like I was being pushed aside or told “it’s anxiety” like most doctors want you to believe. I feel like this is one of the only doctors who is trying to help me get my life back. Dr K, thank you for being a blessing to my world.

Dr. K & staff are attentive, thorough, professional and caring. Since my diagnosis a steady improvement and increase in self confidence has been a result of this combination of observation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. I am so grateful for this consistent level of medial and personal care. To anyone considering this office, if you can be committed to a team effort lead by caring professional this is an excellent place to choose.

Dr. K is THE BEST!! I’m so grateful to have found her in 2018 after an unfortunate bike accident resulting in a TBI. Her bedside manner is phenomenal! She’s like talking to a friend who listens intently and you can tell genuinely cares about you. I love that she uses the medical jargon and then explains in layman’s terms so you fully understand what’s going on with your body. I also appreciate her approach to trying several treatments to find what works best for me. Cannot thank her enough for the continued care she provides! I should also note that it’s a bit of a drive for me to see her coming from the Santa Cruz mountains, but it’s well worth it for the level of care she provides!

The gatekeepers or front medical staff who answer the phone at South Valley Neurology are rude and unhelpful. It’s ashame because Dr. K receives good ratings but it’s important that her entire staff has the same service as she provides. They have terrible phone etiquette and they will put you on a forever hold and not return back to your call. I waited over an hr on hold. I would like a call back from someone in this office to discuss my call I had today, Friday 4/12.Updated Revision: The office manager was out but he had Tammy from their office call me to resolve my situation and she was amazing. She listened to my concerns and helped me resolve my scheduling issue for my son. Gives me hope that there other staff and Dr. K. Is amazing as these other reviews mention. If you have any trouble with rudeness or long holds with their front office folks, I’d say try to be patient and kill them with lots of kindness when they are rude. Hard pill to swallow but best approach if you are waiting to see Dr. K.

I have been seeing Dr. K for several years now in treatment of my migraines. She has been instrumental in hearing me and believing me. She worked with my insurance and their many requirements to get me the medicine I needed to prevent and treat migraines. She is always responsive when I send messages to her. She helped me tremendously through being diagnosed with IIH and experiencing double vision. She sent referrals immediately after the results of my MRI came back showing two veins in my brain were in stenosis. She worked fast, telling me go to the ER and have them call her with further instructions, she followed up with scheduling MRIs, sent referrals to the top Neurologist surgeon. And my surgery was completed 2 months after diagnosis. I continue to see Dr. K every 3 months for injections. I highly recommend her. The staff at South Valley are very nice, responsive, and understanding.

I met Dr. K for our very first in person visit. She is very knowledgable, detailed and thorough. There is a sense of comfort knowing she is attentive, listens and truly cares. Dr. K is the most amazing and caring doctor! You never feel like she’s rushing you through the appointment. She’s easy to talk to and very approachable.She went above and beyond recently and called my ortho surgeon about an upcoming surgery I had scheduled. I love that she was advocating for me and verifying what the procedure was going to be. This surgery had nothing to do with what she’s treating me for and I thought her efforts to collaborate with another one of my doctors demonstrated how invested she is with her patients and how much she cares - we aren’t just a number to her - we mean something.I feel blessed to have Dr. K as one of my doctors and recommend her highly.

When I contacted this place in November after seeing my doctor there in October, my doctor was leaving so in November my vertical came back. All I needed was a referral. They wouldn’t let me talk to another doctor. They said they could see me in two months they wanted me to suffer for two months, this place is ridiculous. I wouldn’t wanna trust them with something worse. I did get a referral from my MD, but I’ll never go back to this place again Sal

Dr. Kouyoumdjian has been treating my wife for approximately 7 years, who was diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome, an autoimmune and systemic disease. During this time, I personally observed the excellent treatment my wife received from Dr. Kouyoumdjian. Fast forward to today, I became a patient of Dr. Kouyoumdjian and currently receiving treatment for a possible spinal cord disorder. In describing Dr. Kouyoumdjian’s many qualities, I rank her “incredible” and extensive medical knowledge as her number one quality; followed by her exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Dr K addressed my concerns and listened to my past medical history, Dr. K recommended another specialist and an excellent new Primary care physician. I do not understand why a person like her would choose to work in a place where people are in need of medical attention. South Valley Radiology staff is very rude. I called for an appointment and after being put on hold for 6 minutes, I was told they dont take car accident referrals if car insurances are involved. When I told the receptionist that Im going through my work health care insurance and the car insurance is not involved, she hung up on me. How rude is that ? Whod want to be seen by Doctors who enable their staff to mistreat and disrespect patients who need care ? Patients who need neurology care are vulnerable and in a bad place. The least they can do as is treat one with care and explain the situation and end the conversation respectfully. Hanging up the phone is a NO NO ! Very rude. NEVER GO TO THIS FACILITY !!!!

First off, I didnt realize how easy it is to get to Morgan Hill, so my all the way out there speech when I was referred here was voided quickly! :-) Though the office can be a busy place, as pretty much every medical facility is, the staff is very easy going and they keep everything dialed. The office itself is very comfortable and there are some cool personal touches - paintings of the doctors and theres an office dog!Dr. Spiegel is efficient and detailed and very quickly I felt a good connection. Im included in the discussion as opposed to having a doctor just talk at me. We review my care and frankly, Im learning a lot. I truly appreciate my doctors care.

Doctor K shines as one of the best doctors I’ve ever been to. In a sea of so many doctors that just don’t care she goes above and beyond and deeply cares about her patients. She’s changed my life by finding a condition I’ve been struggling with for years and was unaware of, but not only that she went beyond her specialty and found a few other issues that I’ve been suffering with my entire life and no one was able to diagnose. Dr K changed my life and while I wish I wasn’t ill enough I had to go to her, I’m glad I did and am excited for things to get better and her continued care - it was a blessing in disguise!

I had a positive experience at South Valley Neurology. I was assigned to Dr. H. What I appreciated most about my appointment with him is that he didnt just look at me and make up his mind about what was going on with me. He actually asked me questions and performed a hands on examination. When going to a new doctor I always expect to be spoken at instead of spoken to (if not just outright ignored), and to have everything blamed on the fact that I am overweight instead of an effort being made to see if there is an unrelated medical issue. Dr. H went above and beyond my expectations. I also met with Dr. K for a couple tests and she also made me feel welcomed (and she is a rescue dog mom. BONUS!!). I would recommend South Valley Neurology to anyone looking for a neurologist.

After trying with multiple doctors which dismiss/minimize my symptoms, I finally I got care by Dr. Dominic Hovsepian. He listened carefully and asked me real questions and did not dismiss any of my symptoms. Dr. H. was able to give treatment options and I can share that after 1 year of seeing Dr. H. Dr. Kouyoumadjian is as exceptional as everyone says! I have vestibular migraines, vertigo, and other conditions. She asked about my health history and symptoms in detail, listened carefully, and explained how vestibular migraines cause many of the symptoms. We discussed a treatment plan and follow-on testing, and she started me on a medication. I’m so grateful for her expertise and compassion, and I’m hopeful that with her help I can have a better quality of life again. I highly recommend Dr. K and her team, including Candy, her lovely emotional support team member.

Dr H is great, very thorough and approachable and provided excellent medical care. However the office staff (from front desk receptionist to office manager are unprofessional and rude to patients especially when it comes to collecting copays and fees related to documents. They treated me as if I either do not have the ability to pay or do not intend to pay, they even hang up on me when being challenged on the way they did things. When I gave them constructive feedback, they were defensive and did not acknowledged my concern.

Best place to go to for diagnosis for neurological conditions in your neck, lower back, and brain. I have never had a bad experience here at South Valley Neurology. Dr. Kouyoumdjian vastly improved my quality of life in a very short amount of time.From my very first consultation visit to address 10+ years of coping with chronic migraine, Dr. Kouyoumdjian listened intentionally, asked relevant questions to inform her decision making, provided clear and easy to comprehend information, and validated my personal experience in living with chronic illness and pain.I have now been through several rounds of quarterly Botox shots to address migraine pain and have seen quantifiable reductions in both the recurrence AND intensity of my condition. Ive gone from 3-5 days per week(!) of moderate to severe migraines per week to maybe 2-3 days per month of moderate pain and occasional bit of whack-a-mole to deal with breakthrough symptoms.Additionally, Dr. Kouyoumdjian listened to related concerns and helped address adjacent non-pain symptoms that impact quality of life, particularly nausea and vomiting. She has substantially expanded my migraine toolkit!Despite being quite busy, the full staff remain kind, professional, and prompt in phone and web responses.Californias Central Valley is substantially lacking adequate access to quality health care. I have complex conditions that cause both degenerative spine issues and migraines and have been seeing both Dr. H and Dr. K for over 2 years now. They are both incredibly kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and thorough! They hit the perfect balance of ordering enough tests to be certain of what’s going on without over testing or over treating. The office staff and nurses have been kind and helpful through everything and have always worked to squeeze me in if I needed it. I’d recommend them to anyone needing a neurologist! My name is Julie Tomasin. My parents have been patients of Dr. Ks for over ten years. She has always been friendly and kind as she gathers information about their status. She carries on a conversation while she is testing them so they are completely at ease. She is firm and forthright in very difficult situations and she appreciates family input as well when patients are having difficulty expressing themselves. She is prompt with medication refills and return calls.. The office staff is always helpful. I would love to have her as my neurologist if I lived closer to her office!

I have been dealing with chronic migraines for several years now. Ive been put on different medicines and told its just allergies, so Ive been doing allergy injections. All with no results. I have been suffering with migraine and vertigo more than half of my life. I’ve been to different Doctors to help me with my problem, did a lot of brain scans to check what causes my migraine but always ends up with nothing. Doctor’s will just give me a temporary relief by giving me some prescription but nothing really works so I always just deal with the pain and suffer.When I moved to CA last year, I went to a Chiropractor that specializes in Neuroscience. I was diagnosed with another thing again and wanted me to start a therapy that will cost me an arm and a leg, so I didn’t pursue it. Back then, I was really adamant in seeing a neurologist since I always don’t get any good result. But since my migraine really bothers me a lot, I just thought of seeing one even just for a quick relief… There I found Dr. K..Dr. K is exceptional!! On our first meeting, she instantly asked me something that I wasn’t aware could be the cause of my problem. She did thorough exams on me and found exactly what is wrong. She gave me medications that is just holy grail! I never get to enjoy outside since I always get instant migraine by just being under the sun but ever since Dr. K gave me the right medication, my everyday migraine cuts back to once or twice every month and it will only last for couple of hours unlike before which stays with me for days or sometimes weeks continuously.I will be moving to another state next year but I promise myself that I will stay with Dr. K even if I need to drive coast to coast just to see her because I know it will be worth it!! She is the most caring, knowledgeable and best Neurologist I came across in 20yrs of searching. Thank you Dr. K!!!

It was easy to schedule my appointment/adequate open spots. I was able to fill out patient forms at home on the computer and submit via email which I find easier than filling out the day of in person. It also allows them to expedite check-in time and shorten the wait. I was seen by Dr. Hovsepian; thorough intake (by the MA and him) and thorough exam. He had good bedside manner, taking the time to answer questions. I was able to schedule an EMG study within two weeks of this appt. My previous neurologist’s office was delaying my study from December to February. Hence, the reason I ended up at south valley in the first place. The only downside is that the waiting area is somewhat small and I had trouble hearing what the front desk was asking me amidst other patients’ conversations behind me. Otherwise, good overall experience.

Dr. H is amazing. I have had epilepsy for 14 years and he’s always been upfront and made me confident in his abilities. I use the John Muir portal to keep in contact and he responds within a few hours. I told him I had a seizure Monday and he saw me that Thursday. It’s hard to find a good neurologist, but I feel lucky that I found him out here since I just moved here. I saw my last neurologist for twelve years and feel that I’m in good hands with Dr. H.

Good doctors but only one really professional lady in front office who is great & reliable to get your answers or paperwork done . The other ladies in the office don’t seem knowledgeable or return phone calls for days or answer the phone period. So you are left to worry. Haven’t left because I don’t want to change doctors in such a stressful time. I like my doctor .
