My daughter was previously a vet tech at South County Animal Hospital until she moved to Montana. Even though it’s a 30 minute drive we decided to stay with this practice because we have been so impressed with the care. More recently, we began to have our Pom, Valentino, seen by Dr Kim. He is a fantastic clinician and has been extremely emotionally supportive with our dog’s health issues. Honest, Sincere, and Humane, Dr Kim is everything you could ever want in a veterinarian. We appreciate Dr Kim and his staff for providing Valentino with outstanding medical care 💖

Dr Tani is very caring and informative. She takes time to explain why she is recommending treatments. She answers all our questions. We have been taking our cat to South Orange County for the last 3 years. We came on a recommendation from a friend and are very happy we did. There are several other animal hospitals closer to us but we like how our cat is treated here

Choose this veterinarian hospital! Dr. Kim was hands down the best vet we’ve ever had. You could tell that he genuinely cares about animals. I think our vets in the past have been a little de-sensitized but it was clear that Dr. Kim really cared about Jackson and wanted him to feel comfortable and be healthy. The prices were reasonable, $60 for a general checkup and our vaccines ranged from $20-$35, nail trimming was $18.

Super care and communication with doctors and support staff. We moved here 8 years ago and so happy we chose south OC Animal. Dr Tani & Dr Jette have been key with ongoing care. Dr Kim guided our oldest through a difficult bout of pancreatitis. Very thankful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so impressed with South OC Animal Hospital as I experienced firsthand their compassion after encountering an accident with my dog leaping out of the car window. We have been going to South Orange County Animal Hospital since 2015 when we got our pup. We have moved away from south county and still make the trek down there. Dr. Tani and Dr. Kim are incredible. I always trust them with my dog. My dog is very anxious and Dr. Tani is so great at making her calm during the visit. She has the magic touch. Love this place and highly recommend them.

I have a problem dog who can be a bit of a Butthead especially when he’s in pain. This vets office is phenomenal with my Big Ben. They are truly so caring and such an awesome crew from the vets to the staff. Everyone is just amazing to deal with which is a really pleasant surprise in today’s society. I cannot recommend them enough. Everyone should bring their dogs or cats to South Orange County animal Hospital. Love love love them!

Honestly the best vets, and TRUSTWORTHY. They will be realistic about what you need/dont need to do. My dogs are actually happy when we get to the office! The short of it is that every person who works at this office is wonderful.Dr. Jette is amazing, knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate, provides thorough advice, and is fantastic with the dogs. Shes our regular vet now and has worked patiently with us on our dog Lilas many problems, and our other dogs more straightforward visits. She even helped out and the office waited for us to pick up pain meds after closing when the shelter we adopted from didnt provide any post-neuter. (Which she was also honest about when I asked: go with the free neuter at the shelter rather than paying through their office.)Dr. Tani helped us through the very difficult time when our senior dog had to be put down, and she advocated for him to make sure he was comfortable.Dr. Kim is also great! We have seen him a few times for urgent visits. He even squeezed us in when I noticed a chipped tooth and drooling right around closing time. The visit was clearly more to comfort me, as he assured me that this was not as painful for Lila as it would be for a human and that she would be ok waiting a bit for an extraction.The office staff and techs are wonderful as well. We know Lila is difficult but the techs (usually Myles or Jocelyne) are so good with her!!Overall, if you can get an appointment with any of the vets here, do it!!

Dr. JETTY is a fantastic Vet...Living between California n Hawaii I needed a good vet for my 2 fur babies whiIe Im living in California. I read a lot of reviews n decided to try South OC Animal Hospital (Dr. JETTY). So happy I did. Dr. Jetty is just the best, very calm, very knowledgeable, so gentle with my dogs n always so thorough. Unfortunately I had the mistake of south orange county animal hospital and Dr Tani being our primary care vet. It is with extreme regret that we had experienced what i hope is not common for the other animal patients. After thousands of dollars and absolutely no conclusions or results or any comfort with our animals condition. We have been completely turned away and blacklisted even though our animal is in extreme need of help. No matter how complicated the relationship is between dr and patient it is extremely unprofessional to turn away due to miscommunication on the part of the doctor. This shows that Dr Tani does not truly care for her animal patients or owners. Unprofessional, heartless, and cold.

My family and our pets have been patients for over a decade. Dr. Kim has always gone above and beyond for us. He’s straightforward, conservative, honest, and experienced. He also helped me with my foster dog and successfully treated her for heartworm when other vets in the area were not confident in doing so. I’ve been coming for years and it can be tough to get an appointment but I know I won’t have to stress over the quality of care my pet is getting.Dr. Tani specifically is the best vet we’ve ever had. She treats every animal she sees as if it was her own and I feel she genuinely wants what’s best for them. She’s always understanding about the cost of treatment as well and is willing to help find the most cost effective and best treatments for your pet. She explains everything and makes sure you know what’s going on with your pet and all your options.The office staff is also incredibly responsive and makes sure you know what’s going on and what to expect. The entire team is very helpful and especially kind during tough times. I only have positive things to say about the hospital as a whole.

Small and busy animal hospital located on El Toro Rd. Parking lot is small and it can be hard turning onto Raton Drive coming eastbound on El Toro.Unpopular opinion here, but I wasnt a fan! Dr. Tani was super aggressive with treatments and there were 2 misdiagnoses after going to specialists. The aggressive treatment approaches we had been doing were also causing more harm than good. Was also pretty disappointed that they would not squeeze me in to see my geriatric dog when his health suddenly declined. I had to take him to a completely new vet where they put him down...💔Prices are super reasonable and I love that they work with so many rescues but this place just wasnt for us.

I came across this hospital when my cat experienced a foot injury on a Sunday and the regular vet was closed. They made room in their schedule to see her and were very kind. That’s why we went back a month later when my cat had weird symptoms and was diagnosed by cardiomyopathy. Dr. Kim got her on a medication regimen that’s been working well and sees her every few months for followup. The pricing is affordable and I cannot say enough about how EVERYONE at this practice is genuinely nice. So happy!

I took my cat, Babushka, here when she began experiencing issues. Over the course of 7 months this whole hospital was incredible in the care they took. From calling to make appointment, checking in, and handling of my sweet girl. Dr Kim was patient, thorough and kind in his treatment. Dr Tanis knowledge and compassion is something I will always remember. My Babushka did not make it but I will never forget the care that was taken with her here. When I am ready to get a new cat I know where I will take my new pet. I trust and respect South OC Hospital so much and recommend them 100 percent.

Dr. Kim and his team are world class in their profession. I have been taking my cat here for many years. They are always on time, very clean, extremely professional, and super loving! The vet techs and the vet know exactly what they are talking about. You can be sure youre in good hands. A while back my cat’s hind legs stopped functioning. He had to drag his lower torso to move anround. Expecting the worst, I took him to see Dr. Kim. He quickly diagnosed my cat with diabetic neuropathy. My cat was prescribed insulin for 6 months. As I gave my cat the insulin, his hind legs started to function again. At the end of his treatment he started to walk normally again. Dr. Kim had performed a miracle for my cat. Recently my cat had gotten old and developed many ailments. I could tell he was suffering. It was time for me to give my cat his last big gift. The gift of peace and eternal life. Dr. Kim euthanized him in my arms. They were very consoling afterwards and gave us countless arrangement possibilities for his body. The recommendations they give and the sincere follow up goes such a long way and is very appreciated. Our animals are our family members and I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone! I could not write a higher review. Dr Kim is the vet we have been using for our dog this year based on a referral we were given. Dr Kim is an amazing veterinarian and an equally amazing communicator. Every time he sees our dog, he gives us all of our options and is very transparent about the rational behind each option. We brought our dog in with a life threatening condition and he was treated Immediately, and the staff were checking on us giving constant updates along every step. They even call over the next few days to keep tabs on our dogs progress. Overall this facility runs very smooth and there are always plenty of vet technicians on hand to assist everybody. A+

The best vet staff! Dr. Tani and Dr. Kim are so kind, caring, and professional. They do not over price the treatments or vaccines and still give you a friendly/ welcoming visit. My boyfriend and I have recently moved to Colorado but every time we come home to visit in California we go out of our way to bring our dogs to South Orange County Animal Hospital. Dr. Kim saved our first English Bullterrier from parvo. He’s always very thorough with every visit and he always tries to address everything that is affecting our pets. He helped our chihuahua to be normal again after he diagnosed her thyroid issue. We continue to trust him with our pets because his focus will always be on the pet’s health. We rescued our cat Buddy, and since he was a baby kitten he had very bad juvenile gingivitis. We made several dental cleanings with Dr. Tani who was wonderful with him. She was very clear and explained if his gingivitis didn’t clear up by age 2, that he may have to get a full mouth extraction. Fast forward 2 years later, we were so happy to hear that at Buddy’s most recent cleaning with Dr. Tani, his inflammation in his mouth had significantly decreased and his gingivitis was healing. We are so thankful for Dr. Tani and staff for taking great care of our cat. Another thing I love about this place is they do not scruff your cats. They really care about your pet’s well being. Brandon at the front is really helpful, and all the other staff we’ve interacted with have been wonderful. Thank you, Dr. Tani. We are so happy Buddy is doing better!!!

Hi,After three different occasions of not being able to get my dog an appointment in a timely manner for vaccines and lastly an injury. We have moved on.You also lost my daughter’s dog. After arriving 10 minutes late for her dogs appointment. She was told he would not be seen today!! Are you kidding me? He was also in pain!! Like any good pet owner I am seriously attached to my kitties. They are older and there have been times they needed immediate care, and they didn’t hesitate to help. My husband and I just cant say enough good things about this place, the great Vets, and staff. We recently had our 15 Husky die and were heartbroken. They all were so empathetic and caring. And we decided to adopt another Husky that is 13 with an appearance and medical problem. They got her in quickly and did tests and grooming. The prices are excellent. We had been with another practice since 1975 but changed. Our dog is getting the care she deserves. They are a small group that cares for your pets like they are their own. Our Vet is Dr. Kim and we also work with Dr. DeAtley. We have 2 newer rescues now. The staff and Dr. Kim are fantastic. The other vets are very good.

Over the past several years, Ive been to this practice with multiple foster kitties. I was impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the doctors and staff. The office and exam rooms are very clean and comfortable. I also thought it was very cool that they worked with local rescues.It was because of my positive experience with my fosters that I wanted to switch to South County. However, when it came time for me to book an appointment for my slightly sick kitty, they pushed me off for an appointment 9 days in the future, even though my kitty had been seen by them as a rescue in the past. The rep was friendly and kind, but also stone cold. She wanted to push me off onto other veterinarians in the area with whom I have no experience. Not cool.RECOMMEND only if your pet isnt actually sick

We moved to Southern California a couple of months ago, and did a lot of research before choosing a vet to care for our (many) babies. We have now seen Dr. Kim three times, and I could not be more confident that we made the best decision. Dr. Kim is so knowledgeable, kind, and takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. The staff was very helpful. My dog had surgery and was acting very agitated after a few days. The person that answered the phone listened to me and checked with the doctors to see what could be done. I was given an appointment for the next morning. Dr. Kim was amazing and really listened to my concerns and was able to determine that my dog was having a reaction to the mix of medications that he was taking for pain. The next day, my dog was back to himself. I am always appreciative of how great the staff and doctors are when we come in for visits.

We bring both our cats and our dog to see Dr. Tani. She is so friendly and genuine and really makes you feel like you are being heard. She saw all our pets at different times and remembered details from previous visits which I find impressive. She is quick to return phone calls and always calls to follow up on our visits. Even when we didnt have an appointment, and had a somewhat emergency situation with one of our pets, she saw us the same day. A cat rescue I foster for uses this vet, so I have been here with a grand total of, at this moment, 14 (!) different pets, including my own! Ive seen both Dr. Kim and Dr. Tani many times and they are both wonderful. Dr. Kim treated my vet-phobic, fear-aggressive dog and he was the only vet Ive ever had who took the time to make my dog comfortable and not just have someone hold him down or muzzle him so he could get the exam over with and move on to his next appointment. The office staff are very nice and helpful. They even have free coffee and play Disney movies in the lobby.

I’ve lived in South Orange County for 30 years and had a vet, but two years ago my friend told me about Dr. Allison Tani and I made an appointment with her for my ailing 17 year old cat. Dr. Tani and the rest of the vets gave our Tony new life with the treatments and recommendations. Wow! Dr.Tani and her team are hands down one of the most sweetest animal lovers I have ever met. they truly care for your pet and want what’s best for them. they aren’t like other vets where they charge u for excessive tests she will tell u what’s really needed and will try her best to go the most reasonable way possible. they even call you to check up on your dog after a visit how sweet is that? My boy Ricky does not like a lot of people and use to hate going to the vet he even hates going to the groomers. But he loves Dr.Tani he always comes back happy with his tail wagging and the stuff he allows her to do still shocks me because he is so stubborn 😂 honestly I’ve never had one bad experience here ever . Dr. Kim and Dr. Tani are not only great people but they are great veterinarians! Ive personally had Dr. Kim as my veterinarian for many years and followed him wherever he went. This is because he is so compassionate, dedicated, genuine and above all an intelligent doctor. He truly makes me feel as though my pets are not only in great hands but treats them as his own.One of my dogs Max is a 10 year old, male, blind (eyeless) maltese mix with whom Ive always felt speculative with veterinarians because first of all hes blind and secondly that he is a senior dog. But when I took him to get his dental cleaning, everything went super smoothly. Dr. Kim made sure to call me multiple times to give a status update, probed me about any other questions and or concerns I may have. He even brought out Max personally when I went to pick him up. And when Max got home, he exhibited no sorts of pain like behaviors or anxiety. This is just one of many experiences Ive had with Dr. Kim.It makes me feel fortunate to have a veterinarian I can truly trust and whom my dogs Louis and Max approve of as well The fellow staff are attentive and personable and the hospital is a great clean ambience with comfortable parking arrangements. Dr. Kim and his incredible team of techs and assistance are so good with our dogs and our family. They are so gentle and Dr. Kims way with our fur family has kept them calm and at ease. My dogs typically do not do well in a vet office. They are responsive, and dont try to nickle and dime like other animal hospitals I have been to. His approach to medical care is to not do surgery unless there are not alternatives, and not necessarily the most expensive procedure depending on your pets age, or ability to recover. We have found our family Vet and would recommend them to anyone with pets.

We were on the search for a new vet after almost 10 years with a previous vet. Our previous vet was fairly good, but very expensive. We looked at vet insurance to ease the burden a bit, but with 3 dogs, overall, nothing was cost effective. The final straw was when I asked if I could just speak with a vet to ask a question about a previous visit (keep in mind, weve been there almost 10 years) and they said I had to book a $68 appointment to ask a vet a question. Really? When I just had a follow up question from a previous visit? Um, no. Time to find someone that appreciates my money, time and pets.Online reviews led me to South OC and I am so incredibly grateful. First visit was free for all three dogs (and all visits are reasonable & affordable). Dr. Tani was incredibly kind and awesome with my dogs. I knew that I had found the right vet when she came in, sat on the floor and played with all three of my dogs. We had deep concerns over my oldest dog, who has a heart murmur/enlarged heart and severe dental disease. We were told at my previous vet that she was a 5 on a scale of 1-6 (6 being the worst) with her heart and needed an echocardiogram or they would not perform the dental surgery. Dr. Tani was not convinced...even without that history, she said that our dog was a 3 on the scale, and was confident that she could do the surgery, as long as we were aware of the risks, without issue since she had done the same surgery on her own dog, twice, with the same ailment.Needless to say, our dog was absolutely fine through the surgery and Dr. Tani removed 19 teeth without issue. Our dog is acting as if nothing happened and is in perfect health after the procedure. Our dogs are finally not scared to go to the vet (they LOVE Dr. Tani) and every time I go there, I am welcomed with a big smile and personalized service. I get a text, email and call reminders of appointments, thorough discharge & follow-up instructions, immediate access to Dr. Tani via email if I have questions and above all...excellent care. Would recommend over and over and over.

I took my puppy here after a recommendation after I got the sad news that my poor puppy has Parvo. Being terrified and obviously a wreck, once we got there the staff was incredibly friendly. We saw Dr. Kim and I cant even begin to explain how grateful I am for his help! He sat us down and told us everything to expect, how much the prices will be, and what is going on in full detail. Even though I was still scared for my puppys health he definitely made me feel more at ease. Luckily with my little boy he only had to stay two days there and made incredible progress. They called me a couple times a day to check in with me to let me know how his progress was doing. She prepared a detailed list of recommendations for each of them.I brought in a young male Tabby cat named Wally, to receive shots and get neutered. Weve been taking our two kitties there for years and have always found the veterinarians and staff friendly, communicative, honest, and understanding. But our appreciation for the hospital grew 100-fold recently after our 11-year-old cat showed some alarming kidney values on his blood test. Dr. Jette was beyond gracious with explaining the urgency of the situation and the treatment plan. She recommended he be hospitalized for two days with fluid injections. Naturally, my wife and I were terrified by the situation and worried about costs. Dr. Jette walked us through the costs and the purpose of each treatment. During our cats time in the hospital, Dr. Jette called us at least twice a day to update us on how our cat was doing. The staff even made it easy for us to go in and visit our kitty during the middle of his stay. We felt so strongly that our cat was safe and being cared for with the best treatment possible. A few days after our cat came home, Dr. Jette called again to check in on him. This was my first time visiting SOCAH, and it was a referral from a friend who runs a local rescue where I adopted one of my two dogs.My dog Pablo had a fever, and I noticed something wasnt right. Having been a dog owner and using great vets, and vets who practice veterinary medicine, I wasnt sure what I was in for.Im grateful that Dr. Kim and the entire staff at the hospital have the best in mind for me and my dog. I figured Id be leaving with at least an $800 bill and all sorts of test having be done on my dog. But Dr. Kim narrowed down that Pablo had an infection from a bite wound on his back, and thats what had probably caused his 104.5 fever.He prescribed the appropriate medication, and administered the antibiotic shots Pablo needed, so he would get the necessary treatments to get him going. And he advised of an action plan if things didnt improve and what to expect.Ive found a great veterinary medicine expert group of people that put me at ease if my dogs have any issues, I can rest assured that they will be in good hands.Thank you for your love and compassion for my dog, and talking me through every step of your diagnosis and what to expect.You guys are truly experts in your field. There is no other vet like Dr. Kim. He is willing to answer any and all questions and goes out of his way to explanation everything so that we know exactly to do. Weve never seen a vet like this and he has done surgery for our dogs leg before. He was so thorough and neat that we couldnt see any stitches on his leg and he could walk again immediately. He told us that he had a heart murmur before checking his leg which the other hospital didnt tell us about. He made sure to give Kenta medication before the day of the surgery. My mom was suddenly put into the hospital and then had to spend a couple of months in skilled nursing. She has a 14 year old Dog who takes daily medications and is frankly quite challenging in temperament. First of all, SOC Hospital is amazing because they work with the dog rescue organization, The Little Red Dog. I adopted my pup from The Little Red Dog and he received all his vaccines at this hospital. They left me with the impression that they truly care about the dogs.So unfortunately, my 5 month old puppy broke his paw and he required intensive surgery. I was referred to a hospital with horrible reviews but then I remembered SOC Hospital and knew he would be in better hands there. Ive taken my dogs to see Dr. Kim twice now; once for nail trims and then an office visit to check my dogs lumps and check symptoms they are having. I have had dogs my whole life and have had more unfortunate than fortunate experiences with veterinarians. Unfortunately, the bad ones make you the worst patient for the good vets. Needless to say, I have taken baby steps as I go in to see a new vet. I have found Dr. Kim refreshing and candidly honest. I walked out of an office visit with getting 3 lumps aspirated at a very minimal cost that was less than $100. I wouldnt have walked out of my other vets office with the same procedure for less than $600. Its not all about cost, its also about competency, gentleness, and care from the Veterinarian and staff. Office staff will make or break the best vets. I have found so far the staff to be caring and on top of the visits. Our 14 year old Maltese, Jack was a shelter dog and this sweet little old guy has come with his fair share of conditions/illnesses. Dr. Kim did a fabulous job of explaining the problems our two dogs are experiencing and have experienced over the years without being resolved. We have taken our dogs to several vets who took our money but didnt put together a comprehensive plan for each dog that was easy to follow. Dr. Kim developed a conservative plan and follow up to monitor progress and outlined what the next steps might.I was impressed so was Nikki & Chewy our dogs.

We thought Dr. Kim was gone from Orange County but thank goodness we found him again after her left a clinic in HB and started at South Orange County Animal Hospital! We cant say enough great things about the care he gives our animals! He has now diagnosed our poor lab with two diseases that thankfully he caught early enough, as they could have been fatal. He is thorough, takes as much time as needed to answer all of our questions (we have A LOT) and is easy to reach by phone or email. You can tell he genuinely cares for animals and their pet parents. He is never pushy (as most other vets we have met) and will only suggest medical procedures and medications that your pet truly needs. The office is clean and welcoming and staff always friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed!

I am SO EXCITED to have found a GREAT VET!!!! I took my dog in this week and had questions before I went in and Dr. Kim came to the phone and spoke to me for about 10 minutes about the problem I was having with my dog. He was SO NICE AND helpful and I was so grateful he took the time to speak to me when I was not even a patient yet! Dr. Tani is a wonderful, knowledgeable and caring veterinarian. She really loves what she is doing. We have a 10-year-old Miniature Schnauzer named Oscar who has a minor heart murmur and required serious dental work and a lipoma mass removal. Dr. Tani and the staff took good care of Oscar. His teeth and mass removal went very smoothly and he recovered quickly. I was impressed with the South OC Animal Hospital. They were attentive and professional. Their prices are fair and reasonable. I moved to RSM a few months ago and was looking for new vet for my dogs. One of my dogs had an emergency back condition on a Sunday and this office happened to be open. It was Sunday afternoon and I didnt have an appointment so the wait was understandably long.From the first moment Dr. Tani walked into the exam room, I knew she was something special. OMG - I am an extreme helicopter mom type of pet owner and Dr. Kim and his staff could not be more caring, compassionate, accommodating and reassuring. Perhaps more important, Dr. Kims mad skills as a veterinarian AND as a surgeon are superior to any veterinarian I have seen in the past 25+ years. Seriously. The long, complicated surgery he performed on my basset hound was absolutely perfect. I was a wreck but Dr. Kim was always immediately available via phone, text, email, etc. with whatever I needed - which turned out to be mostly reassurance as my dog and Dr. Kim were as cool as cucumbers throughout. I consulted with 3 other vets before choosing Dr. Kim to do this surgery - so if you have any doubts or questions about your pets health, by all means check this guy out. This place is so great. The Vet that helped me was amazing. I had to euthanize my daughters pet rat and everyone else either turned me away or wanted to charge hundreds of dollars. This Vet treated us like royalty. They treated little fuzzball like she was the sweetest little animal alive and not like she was an old dying rat. I already decided this is the new vet for my dog too, based on this experience. The office is incredibly clean and has free coffee or tea as well as the TV and games for kids. I didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes.

I volunteer with a rescue so Ive been here a few times and Dr. Kim is incredibly patient with our dogs and very thorough in his explanations. He really cares about animals and it shows. Staff is friendly and upbeat as well.Ive taken two different shy/fearful dogs to him, and he actually puts in the effort to make them comfortable--tosses them treats, sits on their level, etc. This means a lot to me since good experiences with people are very important for shy dogs. And the treats must be good ones because so far I havent seen a dog turn them down! He also talks me through every procedure and takes time to answer questions--the appointments never feel rushed. Also, the wait is very brief and Disney movies play in the lobby.Not to mention that this place is open SUNDAYS!! No more expensive ER visits just because our bad luck falls on Sunday!

When you first walk into the hospital, the first thing you will notice is that is does not smell like an animal hospital. Its clean, bright, and modern. The doctors are honest, caring, and will try to accommodate your budget. The prices are very reasonable for everything from routine vaccines to a more complicated surgery that my dog required. It can get busy in the evenings so I recommend an appointment before the after work crowd, if possible. Great experience and would definitely recommend.

We had such a great experience with Dr. DeAtley. Our dog had an allergic reaction in the middle of the night. Our regular vet wasnt in in the morning. Dr. Kim and Dr. Tani attended to my aging dog. We brought our little girl in to see if we can make her comfortable in last few weeks. The ENTIRE hospital was caring and nurturing to our situation. Not only did they take care of Lucky, they gave us advice on how to make it a little bit easier for her and gave her a little mani-pedi. They treated her with care, apologized to her for any procedures that might hurt and were really invested. Dr. Kim prescribed us some medicine and told us what signs to look for. This vet is not convenient to where I live, but I still bring my pets here because I feel like the vets and staff here care. They are open on weekends and are really good about getting your pet in if they need to be seen. I also think they are reasonably priced and dont try and up sell you on procedures your pet doesnt need. Another amazing thing - my dogs arent scared when they go to the vet. I dont know what it is but at other vet locations my dogs would be nervous and frightened, they dont react that way when they come here. I highly recommend SOCAH.

OMG! Were do I begin!!! There are not enough words to describe this wonderful,caring, compassionate person who is our pets veterinarian. From the first time we went to see Dr. Kim, we knew that we had chosen the person that would take care of our Chiquita. Chiquita is a rescue dog that came into our lives by way of my husbands work facility.Chiquita is part Chihuahua and Terrier. Dr. Kim has treated her for three or four years, starting when we brought her home and she was around 6 years old. We have had her for 10 years now and in that time she has developed many problems of which Dr. Kim has been our saving grace in diagnosis and treatment. As you can see she is going on 16 years old, but she still keeps going. Because of age and the diabetes that she has, there are many things that she is not a candidate for, one being cataract surgery. She is now totally blind, but you should see her get around. With everything that is going on with our Chiquita, we are seeing Dr. Kim often. I trust him with my Chiquita like you cannot believe and I see just how much he cares. If anyone wants a veterinarian who is in my book, the best you need to go to South Orange County Animal Hospital. I travel from HB to Lake Forest, but I dont care how far I need to go I would not go to any other person but Dr. Kim. And by the way, his office staff and animal handlers are the best!! The other and most important thing that I forgot to mention was how clean and beautiful this hospital is and what a wonderful feeling you get when you walk through the door.

We have been going to South OC Animal Hospital for over a year now for the care of our dogs. The staff is always friendly and courteous, service is efficient and unlike some of the other vets in the area, prices are fair. If your pet has a serious health issue it might get expensive, that cant be helped, but South OC Animal Hospital tries their best to help manage the costs and clearly explain your options. I was desperate trying to find a vet that would help me with my 5 y.o. pit bull, Daisy. She was getting recurring ear infections, and she absolutely would not let me near her ears with medicine. I had been to several vets, but the only option to treat her ears was to sedate her so I could clean her ears.I didnt want to do this to my baby on a almost daily basis!! She ended up getting a hematoma on one ear and it puffed up like a balloon. So I got on the internet and started looking for a new vet, and found South Orange County Animal Hospital. I read the Bio of Dr. Kim, and could tell that he was more interested in the care and well being of his patients rather than his bottom line. Plus he had a great sense of humor. I called to make an appointment, and was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable young lady who fit Daisy in right away. Plus, the first visit was free!! The office is beautifully decorated, and the staff was just as nice as could be. Dr. Kim was amazing! He wasnt rushed, he was very calm, and Daisy liked him right away. He listened to all my concerns, and then gave me several options for her treatment. With each option, he explained the pros and cons, and which one he thought would be less stressful for her, since she is such a chicken when anyone gets near her ears. He also listened to my concerns about costs and worked with me since I had been out of work for quite a while. He also told me of a treatment that I had never been offered before, so I would not have to keep sedating her. And to top it all off, even though they dont do surgery on the weekends, he was willing to come in on his day off to take care of her, because he could see she was in pain, and knew that an emergency vet would be expensive. Her surgery was very successful and she was fine afterwards, Her recovery went very well, and we got several calls checking up on her. The price was extremely fair and much less than any of the estimates I had from other vets. They went over and above in their care for Daisy, and I have already recommended them to several friends, and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for everything you did for my best friend!! You have patients for life!

I came in because I was told that I needed X-Rays on our dogs hips. He is a new dog to our family, and Dr. Kim has been his vet for about the last year. He told me, he did not need the X-Rays to know there was a slight problem. He explained options and even commented on how well our new Furbaby looked and was acting. Both doctors were concerned and either could answer any necessary question plus the office was good to my cat.I brought my 111/2 year old adopted cat,Spenser in because he had a wet sneeze and infected tonsils. Dr. Kim did a complete blood work up and gave him a antibiotic plus liquid pain medicine to make easier swallow . Dr. Kim had the medication prefilled to make easier for me to give him. I just took Spenser in to see Dr. Kim today. He hadnt eaten for 2 days but when he tried he would vomit. Dr. Kim gave him 2 injections plus a IV. He sprung back quickly.If your cat or dog has virus systems please take them to the vet right away. If you dont, it could cost them their lives. Thanks.

Dr. Tani and Dr. Kim take such good care of my cats!! The staff is also very nice and very good with them!! Nothing but a positive experience for me! The cats, they are not as thrilled to go, but they are very kind to them and help them get over being scared. I highly recommend them!!

I have seen both Doctors and I would recommend either one! The doctors here are knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. They tell you the real scoop instead of trying to up-sell you on anything. I am always given time to ask any questions I have. They also always follow up on my pet to see how she is doing. We have found our forever vet!

I had a great experience at the animal hospital. I brought my puppy to here to be neutered. The doctor was very nice and followed up after with a phone call and email. The Front desk staff was nice and accommodating with my schedule.

I wanted a dental for my pup and so I went and paid for a pre-dental evaluation. After everything comes back good I call to make the actual dental appointment and they are booked 2+months out. Never during the first consultation was I told about how long the wait to get on the list for a dental was or I’d never have gone to them in the first place. I’m moving before they have any so I can’t even get my dog in for the dental that he really needs. I’m not frustrated that they are booked so far out, I’m frustrated that it was never communicated just how crazy long their wait list was. Big waste of money and it sucks because the techs were actually great. The receptionist I spoke to could seriously care less when I was talking to her about this.

I cant say enough good things about this place. Dr. Kim and Dr. Tani are taking very good care of my Bella cat who is very sick with pancreatitis. Dr. Kim called me last night at 9:00 PM to give me an update on her condition, and went in today on his day off to give her a cortisone shot. I met Dr. Tani for the first time when they let me come back and visit Bella in her hospital room. After not eating for five days, she finally ate! I almost wept tears of joy. They explain everything and really go above and beyond when it comes to caring for my dog.I trust them with him so much that I boarded him there for a day or overnight.Their fees for services are affordable, and a welcomed pleasant surprise.I would never take Max anywhere else!!

My dogs, being the mischievous devils they are, got to my chocolate bar that I have been saving for a special after dinner delight. Even though I have told them repeatedly: Bert and Hanks PLEASE do not eat this chocolate. Most decent dogs would heed my warning. My dogs arent decent. Imagine my reaction when I come home to dogs that have had their fill and then some of my chocolate bar. My first reaction wasnt to call the Ghostbusters, instead I hopped on the phone and called South Orange County Animal Hospital. The staff was very thorough with their advice and here I am writing this review next to my two dogs that are still alive and kicking dreaming of the next time they can get into that sweet sweet chocolate.Also its worth mentioning that their parking lot is an A+++ parking lot. So much parking. You would think that with that state of the art parking lot that they could easily charge $5 maybe $6.50 for parking but when I tried to hand the staff money for parking they refused to take my money instead stating parking is free!

I have been to this animal hospital about 3 times and each time staff was very pleasant and helpful. The Veterinarian I saw was nice and patient. Compared to a few other animal hospitals in OC I found this facility to be reasonably priced. All in all worth while to investigate.

There is nothing bad about this place. The minute you walk in you know its a place that demands excellence in all they do. Dr. Kim is phenomenal. Great manner with people and animals ...very knowledgeable. Pricing is very competitive theyre open 7 days a week. I switched from the vet I was using to this place within the first half hour of being there I knew it was the right vet for me.

The new covid-19 pull up services was amazing. I pulled up to the facility and from my car I called the number posted on the wall. The vet came out and took my payment as well as my dog to get his shots. The whole process took less then 10min. Thank you SOCAH for making it so easy.

Great vets, pretty good front office staff most of the time.My biggest gripe is that pretty much every single time I call this place, I get put on hold for several minutes... even 5 minutes after they open.I tried to make a suggestions to Lauren (the staff answering the phone this last time) and was told Okay..., no Thanks for your suggestion, we do have issues with our phone call system taking too long! Ive spent plenty of money here and I appreciate Dr. Vogel but the front office staff can be hit or miss. I realize you guys work in a vet office but that doesnt exclude you from basic customer service skills.TLDR:Have patience because you will surely need it when dealing with the (potentially) sassy front-office staff.

I had a wonderful experience with SOCAH. The staff was super friendly, and Dr. Tani was so understanding and patient. I appreciate the time she took to explain the procedure before and the results after. She even called me before and after the procedure was done which gave me a peace of mind. Two of the previous animal hospitals I have gone to did not show the same quality care that SOCAH provides. At SOCAH, I know my dog is in loving and expert hands at SOCAH.
