WOW! SO MUCH FUN!!We came up to Tahoe for the weekend, rented these e-bikes and they were AWESOME. They have a very good range.. we made it to lots of great spots. The bike paths near the shop are really good. Andre at the shop gave us a map and told us where to go and we were not disappointed. Very nice people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I recently rented from South Lake E-Bike while at Lake Tahoe and had an amazing experience. The staff at the rental location was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They provided excellent customer service and were able to answer all of my questions about the bikes and the best places to explore in the area. The bikes themselves were top-notch and allowed me to easily navigate through the South Lake Tahoe area. The entire experience was fantastic and I had a great time exploring the area on the E-Bike. Additionally, the rental shop provided great advice on where to go and what trails to follow, which made the day even more enjoyable. Three summers ago, I visited South Lake Tahoe for the first time and rented an ebike from this shop. It was my first time riding an ebike and it was by far the highlight of my trip! I rode from the shop to the Fallen Leaf campground and back. It was soooo much fun! It was the beginning of my love affair with e-bikes! I will never forget it.I will also never forget the shop owners. They were so knowledgeable and passionate about e-bikes.In fact, when I decided to purchase my first e-bikes, I reached out to the shop for pointers on what to look for in a quality bike. You know im a big guy and i dont get to ride every day, but with E bikes i can pedal as hard or as easy as I desire. The customer service and the equipment were great at South Lake E Bikes. We took our friends to Fallen Leaf, Glen Ellen Falls and sll the beaches on that side of the lake. We could have gone further because we had 88% battery life when we turned in our bikes! Amazing time for sure!

I’ve booked 2 group outings and it continues to be the highlight of my Tahoe trips. You can tell Greg and team care about their customers and creates a fun and safe experience. Booking for a group was very easy to do through their site and the team walked us through what to expect. When we arrived, Greg gave us a rundown of how to operate the bikes and off we went!For one of our trips, Greg graciously took us on a riding tour to see the incredible views of Lake Tahoe. We had so much from learning about the area and discovering beautiful stops that would’ve been very difficult to get to without an e-bike. My friends and coworkers could not stop raving about how much fun they had. Rent a bike and prepare to have a great time.Tips: bring sunscreen, water bottle and close toed shoes.

Great place to rent e-bikes. We got there first thing in the morning and the guy there was super nice. Gave us a quick and easy tutorial on how to operate the e-bikes and sent us on our way. Even gave us a couple of suggestions on where to go. The trail is not too far from the rental spot. Great service, super friendly & knowledgeable. Would come back next time were in town. My girlfriend’s sister and brother in law were visiting from Texas and of all the many adventures we took them on this was probably their favorite! We hopped on the bikes and hit the bike path right from the shop! Went to Pope Beach, Camp Richardson, Kiva Beach, Baldwin Beach and Fallen Leaf Lake. I even took my Dog along on the ride. It was a blast! The bikes are in great shape and make cycling effortless! You can still pedal if you want and adjust the level of assist or just simply use the twist throttle. The bikes have a cargo rack on them and a bag that has plenty of room for beverages phone, keys, whatever. This is a small local family owned Buisness and Logan and his dad were a treat to deal with. Great folks! I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to avoid the traffic and enjoy the beautiful Tahoe outdoors!!

We started at 9:15 and road till 6:30pm. Bruce set up with some awesome routes. We road out to the Tahoe keys, then out to Camp Richardson. From there we road to the marina at Fallen leaf lake for smoothies. We then went back to the Beacon restaurant for a late lunch. We then road back by the shop to change out batteries. From there we road out on the trail to Myers. We stopped at Sombrero’s for a churro and Jarritos. We loved riding on the trails. There were a couple of times where we had to cross fairly busy roads, but that was minimal. So much fun, and we weren’t tired. Just use the electric power!!

The best e-bike shop! A group of 3 of us visited from Mass/NH and booked 3 Fat Tire bikes for 2 days. They were AWESOME!! We spent all day both days on them, the batteries lasted all day, it allowed us to explore so many places and trails. When it was time to return them we called to extend our rental, we ended up keeping the bikes for 5 days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best place to rent bikes in South Shore for sure! Their website is easy to book through. When we arrived for our reservation it was a quick and easy check-in and we were ready to roll out. Their customer service is awesome. They gave us a full rundown of safety tips on riding around town, ideas for where to go, and answered all of our questions about things like how to best utilize the bikes and where the locals go to get some good grub. I think one of the guy’s name is Greg that helped us. He’s awesome!

I went to Tahoe with a few friends recently and rented from South Lake E-bikes. Their website was extremely user friendly. I had a few questions prior to my arrival, so I called the shop up. Highly recommend South Lake E-Bikes if you’re ever in Lake Tahoe! We were there for a bachelor party and thought it would be fun to to take them for a stroll while exploring what Tahoe had to offer. If you’re in Lake Tahoe which to me is one of the most beautiful places in the world, you have to try biking. I heard about electric bikes and I wanted to try one so I ended up at South Lake E bikes. I was attended by a gentleman named Logan which was as help-full and attentive as possible. Not only did he teach us how to use the machine properly, he gave us all the Info on where to go to get the best views. I deeply strongly recommend this place over and over again. They’re friendly, their equipment is top-tier and very well-maintained! We had zero issues with everything. It’s so awesome to find an establishment that’s not only there to make money, these people really wanted you to enjoy your time to the fullest!!

This is the raddest little gem in Tahoe. Renting from these guys makes you feel like you’re bribing your brother to borrow his bike to cruise down the lake with your friends.. Just feels like family. If you are lazy like me and would rather have the machine do the work for you go rent yourself an e-bike from the best place in town without breaking your bank. I’ve been going to Tahoe my whole life… and this is one of the best shops I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with. The entire experience from walking in, to dropping off was simply, FUN!What a great way to see the lake and everything that surrounds it. They came equipped with a map and helmet (safety first, y’know) The shop is right by the bike trail that took us to Pope and all the way to Baldwin. We even checked out Fallen Leaf Lake. Super convenient spot near the 50/89 junction. Sweet selection of e-bikes (they also have regular bicycles and even paddle boards). Super fair rates. Easy to reserve online. Plus, you’re right near the Pope Baldwin bike path where you can stop by Camp Richardson for some food at the Beacon or cool off at the ice cream parlor. It’s an awesome day and South Lake E Bikes makes it happen.

My wife and I rented a couple of bikes with my parents who are in their early 70s. I cant tell you the last time I rode bikes with my mom, we had a blast. Staff was friendly, got setup and were on our way quickly. Made it all the way to the general store at the far end of Fallen Leaf Lake with zero effort during the mid-day sun. Was a great way to explore the south shore (Im sure it wouldnt be hard to get all the way around the lake tbh). Highly recommend it. We will def be back.

Great explanation on how to use the bikes. Trial run down the street made sure we were AOK with the controls. Great to ride on the trails.Got a flat tire in the rear wheel on Fallen Leaf Lake road. Called them and they brought out a replacement bike in 1/2 hour. They said take your time coming back.We continued up to Glen Alpine Falls then Lily Lake. On the way back we climbed Tahoe Mountain Rd and headed back to the shop. We had planned to ride 2 hours, which we did, not counting the 1/2 hour delay.

We had such a blast riding the e-bikes on the trail. We had easy access to the beach without having to worry about parking. I got the beach cruiser which was perfect for my laid back ride while my athletic adventurous husband got the mountain bike which was faster and had great suspension.
