We had a great stay at the South Lake Chalet! The unit was super clean, cozy, and just as advertised. Parking was super close to the unit (great for loading/unloading ski equipment). We were within easy walking distance of the Heavenly gondola and village. The unit was in great shape and very clean upon our arrival. It was awesome to have a fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker, and dishes provided so we could make a quick breakfast before hitting the slopes. And check-in and check-out were super easy! We will definitely come back!

This little studio we stayed in was a very comfy and cozy getaway that we really needed. It’s a great place to stay especially if you’re not wanting to have to drive everywhere when it comes to eating and such. It’s located in a great place and not too loud. Walls are slightly thin but no noise complaints on our end. The bed and linens were great quality and found ourselves not wanting to roll out of bed. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home away from home. This is it. Very much worth the price and it’s more spacious than we anticipated. The host is very responsive and accommodating.

My time at South Lake Chalet was perfect! The space was super comfortable and in a perfect area! Close to downtown, within walking distance, clean, and despite the staff being offsite, they were super responsive and helpful! There is no grass but the front lot has sand and mulch where our golden retriever used the bathroom. Would highly recommend!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and it is truly a gem. The location is top notch- within walking distance of the Heavenly Gondola. We had room 11 with my husband and 6 year old and it was very comfortable and sparkling clean. The beds, linens, pillows are exceptional. The fireplace is a very nice touch and functional as a heating source. We had a little trouble with the lock when we arrived and called customer service. They remedied it within seconds. We enjoyed all of the little touches that the owners clearly put into this space. Thanks and we will stay again!

This is my 3rd time staying here and each time I absolutely love my stay. Its in walking distance of heavenly vilage, the casinos and the beach! I love how each room has all necessities needed! Including the kitchen which we sometimes like to stay in and relax! Forever will be coming here when I come to South Lake Tahoe!

My family and I (4 adults and 2 kids) had a wonderful stay at the South Lake Chalet. The check in/out process and communication with the off-site management was easy and the accommodations were very comfortable and clean. The design of the space was beautiful and the hosts thought of everything; from makeup towels to baby dishes, eye masks, ear plugs, slippers, boot warmers, and more! The location was super convenient, only a short walk to Heavenly Village and Stateline. We greatly enjoyed our stay and we will be back soon!

My wife and I stayed a week here and it was a great location! Just a 5-10 minute walk to the gondola (depending on type of shoes you are wearing), many restaurants, shopping, and snacks close by plus a movie theater as well. The room was clean and shower was large, there was a mini fridge/freezer which was great for cooling beverages and ice. We brought our fireTV stick and was able to stream all our shows in the evenings. One slight issue was that the room we were in was small for a full week stay, but there were other bigger rooms we saw and would probably stay in a larger room for a future week stay. The smaller room would be perfect for a long weekend since you dont need a ton of room to unpack all of your items. Overall this place is great and we will definitely plan to stay for our future ski trips here!

We had a wonderful stay at South Lake Chalet. Our family of 5 and 2 pups stayed for 3 days in unit #1 and it was super spacious, and very prestine. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were high end, very soft and comfortable! The decor was simple yet classy. Fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of towels and toiletries. They really thought of everything. The large great room upstairs has a large T.V. and an outdoor patio to sit and enjoy the crisp cool air. The location was perfect and only a 5-10 min walk to all the fun spots, restaurants and Heavenly. It was so convenient. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so great! Check-in and check-out was super easy too. We highly recommend!Well definitely be back!

You can do so much worse in the area for cabins and hotel rooms. The place was recently remodeled and the check in was hassle free. Nice fireplace and heating unit will keep you toasty. Great location to snowboard, gamble on hockey and good tacos down the street.

The unit was super clean, decorated beautifully and made me super comfortable during my stay. Better than booking a hotel for sure! Loved this place. Our family went for a quick trip over Christmas. I had stayed in Lake Tahoe a year ago and learned my lesson about staying farther from Heavenly village as we got snowed in and lost power and were not within walking distance from anywhere.There are a lot of choices in this area but this spot was perfect for us. The rooms looked exactly like they do in the website and were clean and had everything we needed. Warm fireplace, extra blankets, comfortable bed. Keurig coffee maker, microwave and fridge with some plates, coffee cups, and glasses. The TV worked great - we were able to log into Netflix and Youtube TV. We liked having a keyless entry so we didnt have to worry about keeping track of keys. We had a spacious parking space and a smooth check in and check out. Perfect for 2 people.The shower is one of those overhead ones so my wife suggests bringing a shower cap if you dont want to wash your hair. Also if you need to hang a lot of clothes you may want to bring extra hangers since there is an open closet with about 6 - 7 hangers.You are within walking distance to the Casinos and a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops and shops (within 10 minutes). Definitely recommend this place!

My wife and her mother enjoyed their stay at South Lake Chalet. The location is as convenient as it can get, and easy to find. The room was well-designed and maintained, clean, and decorated nicely. The internet was fast and reliable. It was easy to keep the room a comfortable temperature. The property was peaceful, and the room was quiet. They appreciated that the room had two queen beds, rather than a regular bed and a sofa bed, the latter of which is more commonly found in lodging in this area. The owners communication is fast and thorough, and they respond quickly to questions.This is a great location, and we will definitely try to stay here again.

Our family decided to take a quick 4 day/3 night trip to South Lake Tahoe for Christmas and found this gem of a place. The rooms are exactly as shown on the website. They are small but fine for 2 people. We had 2 rooms Unit 8 and 9. Our son stayed in unit 8 which looked exactly like Unit 9 just configured opposite and with different artwork. We had 2 adults it unit 9 and found it to be more than roomy. We loved the location - within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, Heavenly ski resort, shops, casinos. Harrahs/Harveys is right there, and Heavenly village with the gondola, shops, pizza, restaurants, etc are all right there so you dont need to use your car much unless you are exploring or going to the supermarket. Everything is within a 10 minute walk and very easy to navigate. Parking is spacious and easy. The locks are easy to use and well explained, although if you travel frequently you will already know how to use these. I prefer these locks so you dont have to worry about losing or keeping track of your keys. All of the amenities are provided - there is a Keurig coffee making and you can bring your own pods or buy them. There is a small fridge with a freezer and a microwave. Soap, shampoo and conditioner, a hair dryer, are provided as well as a few make up remover pads. They left sleep masks, ear plugs and chocolates for us in both rooms. They have outlets with ethernet for your phone to charge. The TV is easy to use if you have a smart TV and know how to use it. We were able to log into our Youtube TV and Netflix with no problem. Good supply of towels. and an extra blanket. The little fireplace really keeps the room warm and cozy. The beds were comfortable. There was the cutest family of raccoons and some other animals - maybe beavers of some sort. You get reminder texts about check in and check out and we had no issues but I am confident that if we did they would have been addressed quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

S. Lake Chalet is a total hidden gem! My husband and I, our 3 mos. old son, and our two small dogs stayed here for a mini getaway. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated, great amenities + quality; located near a private beach with views of Maggie’s Peak, waking distance to brewery, bars, restaurants, casinos, and heavenly village. We had a great weekend here. The room was clean/beautiful, good customer service, perfect location. We walked just about everywhere in Tahoe because of how close it was to everything. We had an issue with the fireplace not working and management. Make sure to get that fixed right away for us. Will definitely stay here again!

South lake chalet is in an amazing area, in walkable distance to restaurants, bars, and the casinos! Even with being so close to the main strip, south lake chalet is on a quiet road that feels super safe. The room was clean and so cozy as well! My husband and I along with another couple had the pleasure of staying in #12 unit last weekend. This is the perfect place to stay for a Harveys outdoor arena concert. We could easily walk to the venue and not have to worry about Ubers. The room was immaculate and perfect for our stay. We absolutely love all the little details, disposable slippers, k-cups, toiletries, utensils, and a tray of ice in freezer. The beds and pillows were very comfy and the A/C unit kept the room at a very comfortable temp on a very warm weekend. The check in/out was flawless. Thank you for a great getaway weekend.

Perfect for a quick trip with a small family. We’re parents with a teenage son and the double queen beds are much nicer than a sleeper sofa. The layout was very open and all the furnishings, kitchen, and bathroom are clean and modern. The kitchenette had a dorm refrigerator, microwave, and a single cup coffee maker. My only suggestion would be to add a toaster, but we just brought our own. You won’t be making dinner there, but with the great restaurants in the area why would you?The bathroom was roomy and modern with a big shower and great water pressure. It felt great after a day on the slopes. Plenty of nice, clean towels.The electronic lock on the door was finicky but they were very clear about how to use it and we eventually got the hang of it. Surprisingly we made more issues locking it than opening it. The only other thing that I’d change is to use bigger drapes over the door. It’s a glass door that opens on the parking lot and the drapes don’t offer full privacy.

This place is great! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars(more like 4.9) is because the door lock was tricky (you had to hold the door just right when you did the code) and we had to do it a couple times. That’s small compared to the overall awesomeness. Super clean and just what we needed. Great location and made walking so easy. We will definitely stay again.

This was a beautifully updated, centrally located, and very comfortable! The cute little kitchen area was perfect for a tourist weekend. My boyfriend and I really loved the fireplace feature which made the room very cozy and really feel like youre in the mountains. We could walk to dozens of restaurants and other amenities. We recently stayed here for our annual ski trip at Heavenly. It’s extremely walkable to and from the gondola, as well as to and from the restaurants, shops, grocery store, and casinos in the area. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. We loved having the kitchenette to have breakfast and make sandwiches to pack for lunch. The checkin & out process was really easy, & the staff has great communication. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

Every amenity had been thought out from slippers, eye masks and ear plugs, sound machine, plush towels with black washcloths for make-up removal to disposable make-up sheets, toiletries, soft sheets and comfortable pillows, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, Keurig with a nice selection of local coffee as well as a pour-over coffee and a selection of tea or tea lovers, dishes and glassware, fireplace, chairs to sit outside and enjoy a fountain, a towel for drying off your pet, designated parking space and chargers for EVs. One-level so no need to drag luggage to second floor. Although sound machine and eye mask and ear plugs were provided, we found it to be very quiet.Location was in area that is walkable to local attractions and restaurants. Great communication from prior to check-in from management, Zipstay, with easy to follow instructions for self-check-in and check-out. We had to cut our vacation short due to my husband sustaining a leg injury and we received an unexpected refund that was very much appreciated! We would definitely return next time we are in the Tahoe area!

This was the perfect place to relax for my husband and I after exploring South Lake Tahoe during the day. Everything was so clean, modern and well decorated. We loved the size of the bathroom with the rain shower, the bed was so comfy, the size of the TV was perfect and every appliance was new and worked well. It was a pleasure staying at South Lake Chalet for our honeymoon!Unit 7 was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. The fully supplied kitchen area was extremely helpful for our extended stay. We also loved that the bathroom and shower were spacious and clean. Additionally, we were glad to have so many towels and two beach blankets. This made picnics and afternoons on the beach so easy!Our Favorite thing about staying here was that the location could not have been better for our vacation needs. It was centrally located less than 10 minutes walking distance to Lakeside Beach, Heavenly Village, great restaurants, and the casinos.Also important to note— we especially appreciated how easy check-in was. We received great communication with instructions before we arrived. My husband was feeling extremely motion sick after our flight and drive in and desperately needed to rest. The woman cleaning was compassionate and allowed us to check into the room two hours early because she had finished getting it ready.The next time we are in South Lake Tahoe we will definitely be staying here again! We had a wonderful experience at this property. The instructions were incredibly clear, the property was very clean and well maintained, and best of all its in walking distance to the best part of South Lake Tahoe! Each cabin has its own designated parking spot which was really nice too. We talked with some other guests in the parking lot as we were coming and going and everyone was super kind and respectful. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was nice and quiet. I definitely recommend this property!

My favorite part is the fireplace that acts as a second heater. It automatically turns on and off to meet the desired temperature and adds warmth and coziness to the atmosphere. This is an extremely nice and spacious room in a great location across from the shops, restaurants, and bars at Heavenly Village. We loved the clean, modern decor inside and the private entrance. No parking fees or any other hidden fees. Walk across the street to hear live music or sit at the fire pits on the corner of Lake Tahoe Blvd and Park Avenue. The hosts were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay here again!

It does get cold at night, we couldn’t get the heater/fireplace to hold a good heat, but we remained comfortable with the extra blankets provided. The bed was cozy too! We stayed in Unit 8 and I am so happy we did. The room was immensely clean. Our host (Zipstay) was so nice and gave very clear instructions. We loved how modern it was. The fireplace made us feel like we were in a Christmas movie. We loved the fact that they had a microwave, a sink, and a fridge/freezer. We also enjoyed that the property was close to the strip and conviene stores. We stayed in December but we’ll definitely come back in the summer so we can walk back and forth to the beach or the strip. Really have no complaints! Location was terrific for skiing (5 minute walk to the Heavenly gondola). The space was utilized super well with a small kitchenette and even a small desk to work from. This place was even better than expected. The location was fantastic as we had a celebration at Edgewood which is walking distance. It is modern and clean with a propane fireplace that made it warm, cozy and special. Comfortable king size bed and beautiful bathroom. We had everything we needed. The host was particularly attentive and friendly, responding to every question in no time. Our sons wedding is at Edgewood and we will definitely be recommending this spot to guests.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days during June. The South lake chalet is well located on the Californian side at the stateline between California and Nevada at Lake Tahoe. The heavenly village is in walking distance, as well as the casinos on the Nevada site of the stateline. The room we stayed in, seemed freshly renovated and had everything you could ask for. The heating system had the look of a fireplace, which completed the overall look of the room. Great place to stay! Our room was not only cozy, but super clean with tasteful décor. Being able to use the fireplace was a wonderful touch, and there were other nice amenities as well, such as a mini fridge and coffee maker. The room was a great size, had everything you needed, and the bathroom was big. What made it better, was that it was literally a 2-3 minute walk from Harveys, so if youre looking to be in that area, this is the perfect choice. Youre right next to the center of town with access to restaurants, casino and some nice beaches!From the outside it looks like a motel, and the parking spots are kind of small, but once you enter you are pleasantly surprised. This location was fantastic! Two blocks to the center of Heavenly and about a quarter-mile to beach access. The studio set up was fantastic with a separate bedroom and everything was super clean. The amenities were extremely appreciated and we came up during a heat advisory warning (where the AC was amazing)! The check in process was great as it is a digital lock. The lock is a little confusing at first but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. (*Hint: To lock the door from outside, tap the screen until lit and then tap the lock once and then hold the lock down until to hear the lock engage.) The bed was extra comfy, the bathroom was pristine and shower had great water pressure. Brand new appliances in the kitchen with everything you’d need—microwave, a keurig coffee machine (refills provided by cleaning staff), a plug in hot water, basic kitchenware, and even a wine opener that saved us one night. Parking and finding the place was very easy.Even though there was no real outdoor area, just a parking lot with a little greenery and some beautiful redwoods, they provided chairs for outside sitting which made for a nice break from the room and let us soak up the sun one afternoon. They really thought everything through with just what you’d need.And zip rent as a hospitality company was awesome. Constantly available and very responsive to any need. We were told we’d get an email if we could check in earlier and that email actually came through! We didn’t get a late checkout but they were very forthcoming in saying you wouldn’t be able to get one. The Airbnb was simply Amazing it had a fresh modern Scandinavia vibe. The fireplace was my favorite amenity. In addition the space was clean and inviting. I would overall recommend this Airbnb for the Affordability, location and customer service. I am looking forward to staying with them again.

This was our first trip to SLT, after researching heavily we decided on this location. It was super convenient for all that we wanted to do. The space is maximized with literally everything you need to have a staycation, it was clean, parking was great, and we walked to Heavenly Village several times. There is an amazing taco place right across the street, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful and super clean studio, very comfy beds, well decorated, mini but well stocked kitchen (coffee and cooking utensils were provided along with a mini fridge). Chalet 11. I was in December for 9 days with my family. We liked it a lot. Although there were 4 of us, everything was very good, very nice decoration. The location is excellent, close to the villa and the gondola. We were missing a closet and they didnt send some boxes to store our luggage to the chalet. Everything very clean.
