I have received so much support from this career center, from intake with Andrew and getting eligible with Lisa, everyone has been awesome. Also when I began training, Nadia went above and beyond to help me get started, and I successfully completed the training program. Nadia is my career navigator and has been so patient, kind and helpful I feel like she is really on my side. Also I have had great experiences in the interview and resume writing workshops with Kristi and Theresa. So helpful!

They are a great resource if you are unemployed and looking for a job. I like this place. They make things easier with free computers and copier. You can fax. They have to check you in

It was a nightmare to get there via public transportation. It took me the better part of a two hours to reach my destination. Once there I found the staff to be warm, cordially, professional and I was appreciative of that.

This place has Veterans services once a month for the unemployed Veterans. There is a claim that Veterans are appreciated and unemployment must be part of the appreciation. While the place does offer a room and networking, do not count on any job. The reason for the two stars is that the center does not know that people require food. In addition, sending Veterans to 2nd chance is calling Veterans a criminal or a convict that just got out of prison.

The South County Career Center is an excellent place for anyone whos looking for a job, thinking on a second one, or just exploring the possibilities. There is a simple procedure to become a member, which will give access to the computer lab, job coaches, different classes, etc.It is located near the ocean and it has many parking spaces. The only issue that I would strongly recommend to the County/City is to make it accessible to get there with a bus stop, since it is a long and kind of difficult walk to get there from the nearest trolley and bus station.

I hope I am in the right spot. I want to shout out to La Toya•••••5 stars for you. I was having trouble with my certifying and it kept going to front page every time I hit next. I called a few times but could not get through. I finally did and I swear she was so helpful, patient, never felt rushed and she is really competent at her job. She is a great asset to the state. I just feel so great full and wanted to thank her and tell her in case nobody has lately “YOU’RE AWESOME!’

I Came Here To Verify My Identity & Reset My Password Word On My Caljobs Account. I Waited About 30 Mins To Get Help For My Identity Check & They Couldnt Fax My Info To Sacramento. Yeah No Fax Machine Service. Oh Called The Office By My House & They Have Fax Machines Up & Ready. I Finally Get Inside & Jump On A Computer, Yeah Only To Wait Another 20Mins For Help. I Finally Get Help & Try To Reset My Password Word Like I Was Instructed & Still Cant Get In. I Informed Employee Helping Me & He Hands Me A Posted With A 800 Phone Number, Yeah Another 800 Number That Wont Be Answered! Oh But The Pretty Lady Next To Me Got All His Help! I Guess Its Back To One By Home? Wish Me Luck!

I came in on a Friday, asked to use the computers for something personal and the lady at the front desk told me its best to come back on Monday morning to use their computers. So after a whole weekend, I came back Monday morning and the same front desk lady told me I cant use the computers and that I needed to call to use the computers. After telling her that she never mentioned I needed to call beforehand, she angrily told me I could use the computers. Front desk lady needs to go.Note: It takes me over 1 hour to get here so she definitely wasted my time and tried to waste it again with my second visit.

They were not only very friendly but they tried there best to assist although they may have not known the answers to the specific questions i had and for that i must give them a 6 star review because they went above and beyond to try and assist even when they were limited in what they could assist me with in my particular scenario.

I have asked for assistance I am very disappointed about one employee I asked a question about how to update my resume she seemed to be very confused and without security to help me. She has assisted me before I know she knows more than what she helped me. I have seen her assisted someone else after she assisted me she was even helping the other client so much better than me using the mouse instead she was telling me what to do having myself to use the mouse. I have always being coming to South County Career Center. Ive seen a very much difference there is such no respect when it comes to have to hear other clients and employees personal conversations other people really cannot concentrate. I am going to change to a different career center to my personal opinion South County Career Center has changed very much lately. I have to log in to my google account again to let everyone know that it is not the first time the printer does not work it is very frustrated having to wait or ask for assistance every time we need to print out any document. I ended up not knowing how to have a good updated resume.

The EDD Supervisor Sandra is very rude and talks down to everyone, including her personnel. She did not resolve my issue and only talker down to the Lady that did end up resolving my issue. Her name was Myriam, very nice Lady.

Their website states they offer help with filing for EDD unemployment both online and in person. But when I contacted them they said that they do not. Very misleading and a huge waste of time especially when people are having such a difficult time getting through the phone lines at EDD. Other job centers are able to do 3-way calls with EDD representatives who can assist filers with their claims. So either the website is lying or the person I spoke to was lying. The two do not match.

Great staff !! always willing to help those in need, great job search tools, help you with your resume. They have veteran counselors specifically for military members who served and need assistance. I live this job center :-D

Very unorganized, rude, not private when discussing personal matters. Receptionist, staff and management are unaware of the services they offer and are unable to explain the process/meeting in which they are requiring you to attend. A waste of time and gas money!

I can check my email here, fax, print, & look for a job all at the same time. Your one stop shop. Must have membership to come use the equipment. Orientation is only on Mondays must have signed up for cal jobs.gov & resume ready. You will get a card once orientation is over you can start faxing away, right away.

This place is magic!!. You will find an accurate answer to each and every question you have and the best part is that they will guide, explain and repeat as many times you need, they help you on finding a hob, you can use a computer, print, help with edd disability or unemployment, they have job fairs.. and a handful of resources like school info, calfresh etc.Rocky is the best!

I had to come here to maintain my unemployment benefits, and although I thought it would be a waste of time, I was pleasantly surprised to learn about apprenticeship programs that I previously knew nothing about. As cheesy as it sounds, I think this place helped my find my new career!

Lots of transitions going on at the moment turn to ResCare has lost its contract and a new company is in its Stead. So, call ahead and make sure the classes youre wanting to attend are available.

Alejandro Ibarra helped me pursue a porgram at UCSD Extension. It took us several months to get me enrolled, nonetheless, Alejandro kept in contact with me and encouraged me to pursue higher education, I really recommend going to him for any career advice.

This is a place if you need help to get with resume or looking for job this is a great place to come there I always a workshop for you to learn to use a computer and learn the software. Great place of learning and it is free..

Here I make my Taxes for the year 2019 completely free. Some people help you fill out your form with your information and are patient, kind and friendly to answer your questions. The taxes seem to be done by young students or recent graduates but everything came to me in order and form.Its a shame that it is closed in 2020 and 2021, I hope they open it again next year because the help of filing your taxes for free is really important.
