Great location, close to the beach. Staff was very friendly.Fitness room is a little outdated and the treadmills are rusty but they get the job done. There is a separate cardio and weight room.Beds are comfortable.Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the wall of the shower so If you dont have your own youre set. The conditioner felt a little oily, there wasnt a brand label on them so I wasnt quite sure what it was.All in all this is a great hotel

I stayed here for a second time just last week and it was a success, like the last time which was three years ago. Redondo Beach is beautiful. There are plenty of seafood restaurants, coffee shops and breakfast places nearby. It is a drive to places like Santa Monica or Hollywood but then that’s just the case for all of Los Angeles. Hotel is not super new but relatively-well kept. Its rooms are spacious, has a coffee machine, a fridge and enough space for luggage. Balcony is a nice plus. My only small downside was a soft mattress which is not great for my back but that’s just me. Front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. We needed a kettle and they provided. They also let us check in just around 2 pm, which was great. The bartender in the lobby was also kind enough to give me a free banana when I asked if I can order fruit. It is a busy hotel but the elevators worked fast and inside the room, it was quiet and peaceful. Parking fee is $35 which is obviously not cheap, but again, that’s just ridiculous LA prices.

We checked in for one night at this dated hotel in Redondo Beach. In addition to the room fee, the hotel charges for parking or valet, plus a very annoying resort fee for amenities. We checked in very late and left early the following morning, so it was a scam to just collect extra money from us.While the lobby is bright, the upper floor’s lighting is dingy. The carpets are old and there is a musty smell in the hallways and rooms. Our shower didn’t properly drain, so it was annoying showering in a bath of dirty water.Lastly, the hotel provides ashtrays for guests right outside the front door. Convenient for smokers, but for the majority of non-smokers they have to walk through a plume of cigarette smoke when they enter and exit the hotel.I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it.

I stayed at this location over spring break in April and while the lobby is clean and glistening, I was severely underwhelmed upon entering the hotel rooms. Due to our first room not being cleaned (marks on the sheets, food and hair ties on the floor, floss on the bathroom floor) we ended up switching to another room. While this one was cleaner, it still required the sheets being changed. Overall, the rooms are outdated and in need of a deep clean and upgrade. You can see the dust piling up in corners and on outlets. Paint is chipping off the walls and doors. It was definitely not as bright and clean as the websites pictures portray it to be. At all.The one bright side to the stay was the staff. They were very responsive, helpful, and kind, and I appreciated their generosity. The gentleman working in the hotel gift shop even gave us a great recommendation to head over to Hermosa Beach on our last night for dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed. But even the lovely staff could not make me stay here again.

I called the hotel to book with them directly, only to find via the confirmation email that theyd lied about the best rate they could offer as they booked me at a DIFFERENT hotel nearby!When I called back to correct the issue, they told me that the best rate they could do (to book me at the correct hotel) was over 30% ($60) more a night, which is HIGHER than the rates advertised on THEIR OWN WEBSITE. Apparently the rates they advertise there are for rooms that are ALREADY SOLD, meaning when you book they tell you Oops, weve had to charge you more - after getting all of your information including payment details.Clearly this hotel has dodgy business practices. Id avoid it at all costs.

Extremely large. All rooms have a balcony and 2 chairs, the view maybe of the roof.Valet parking, but they were quick and friendly. The desk failed to answer the phone - three different times. Fantastic Location. Quiet.Id much rather stay across the street at the Redondo Beach Hotel. Just my opinion, if you are looking for bling and a beautiful bar, Sonesta might be your best choice.

Overall, the hotel and its rooms are beautiful and very well maintained. It is a very comfortable stay. My only critiques that would move this rating to 5 stars are 1. My tub had rust stains around the drain and hair from the previous occupant, and 2. The fitness center aerobics equipment look like theyd been used outdoors for a few years before being brought inside.

I wish I could say I enjoyed my stay but I didn’t. Ended up getting a room at the Hyatt and I was absolutely shocked how much better and cleaner it was. The bathroom at Sonesta was nasty, the tub was badly stained, the water didn’t drain properly, the door locks didn’t work. Forgetting whatever else but I was looking forward to staying here but it was a huge disappointment. Hyatt near LAX was way better I highly recommend them, they even had their own living room area, and the bathroom was beautiful ! To be brutally honest Sonesta reminded me of motel rather than a luxury hotel, thankfully my partner saved the day and booked at another place last min. We did tell the front desk, they only offered a $30 discount which was just laughable.

The hotel is nice and clean from the outside. We decided to stay as guests, and we found a grown man’s underwear in the middle of fresh towels. I’ve escalated it to management and were apologetic, but did not reimburse or did anything to truly compensate for that. Such a nice hotel, with dissapointing actions.

Initially, I was hesitant to get a room here. When I called the 800#, I could tell the call was routed to a call center. Mainly because the representatives are not familiar with the location. I was scheduling a visit during the holidays and really needed a view of the ocean. The representative reassured me that the room indeed had a view.I arrived after dark and could not determine if the view was as promised at night. The porter who brought our luggage to the room informed us we would love the view. I still wasnt certain. Until I awoke in the morning. The view was nice. There was a road out front, but surprisingly, traffic noise wasnt that high. The room was clean (I pulled back sheets and inspected the bathroom and floors). I was pleasantly surprised. The balcony was just big enough for 2 people to sit.We brought our small pooch along, and the hotel had designated places for them to go poo. That area was also clean.I will definitely be going back. I provided a 4 rating for service. That is only because the bar area serving the food always seems to only have one person who served as bartender and food server, but if you wanted room service they tacked on multiple fees that to me, seemed unreasonable. Automatically adding a 17% gratuity and room service fee. The other outrageous fee was for self-parking. Its almost the same as valet, which was $36 per day. We chose valet, but had a friend park and anything over an hour, I believe, was $33. Our check-in experience at the front desk was just ok.There are so many things in walking distance of the Redondo Beach Pier!Overall, we had a nice time and enjoyed the amenities. The staff was friendly and the patrons of the hotel were also friendly. In todays society, that is also important!

We were treated well, friendly staff, great location, wonderfull view. Nice room but I felt like it, the air,, dried me out. The pool was nice but dry towels were short.Happy Hour at the bar was friendly but really pricey! A great experience overall. We were there with a tour group but would normally stay at a less expensive place.

Rooms are nice, nothing special, but the bathroom tubs have all been busted and rusted every time I’ve stayed here. Location is bomb though. But if the gym is important to you, go somewhere else. There are two separate rooms for cardio and strength, both super tiny and cramped with low ceilings. They keep the temperature blazing hot in both so it’s difficult to stay for long. Strength room has some dumbbells and a cable machine as well as two benches, a little lacking but not the end of the world if you’re the only one in there. Cardio room has rusted and creaky treadmills, the sound so annoying and loud that it was distracting through the noise cancelling feature in my headphones, and some bikes and ellipticals. 2/10 gym experience, be prepared to get your cardio at the beach.

Fantastic location, very close to Redondo Pier, Redondo Beach, restaurants and shops. The whole area is very clean, quiet, and safe, with numerous scenic views of the ocean. People in the area are friendly and polite. It is common to greet many of them in a highly friendly manner while taking a mornig walk. There is a well maintained infrastructure for cyclists (one can rent one even), rollers, and recreational runners.Check-in and check-out are fast and efficient. Rooms may need some modernisation, but are spacious, well-managed and impeccably clean. The opportunity to step out on a balcony is a great added value.Staff are polite, affable, friendly, and very helpful in navigating surroundings, and go well beyond what is a standard in extending their hospitality.Breakfasts are at flat-rate, so a good idea would be to go elsewhere if you do not eat much.The hotel is relatively close to LAX, and Uber service can usually get you to hotel for less than $30, if one is not too demanding. Local public busses stop at stations close to the hotel, and may be used for public transport to Manhattan Beach (you may walk to/from there, as a far better idea!), Torrence, and even to LA Downtown (ask Google Maps for the most convenient trajectory).

If you love the beach and boats, this is the place for you.The hotel itself has a very nice outdoor area to the left and right of the main door with fire pits, and comfortable club seating. Perfect for gathering and chat before dinner.The staff was friendly. There is a nice bar in a raised area in the middle of the grand lobby.The rooms are a bit dated. The desk lamp in my room did not work. The bed was comfortable though, which is a big deal for me. The sheets were of pretty good quality, though the pillows seemed a bit small.Overall, this is a nice hotel in a descent location.

Dirty floor right outside our door for the 3 days we stayed. Thermostat doesn’t work, the staff wasn’t concerned, they just told me that the room hasn’t been fitted with the upgraded thermostat and offered me a box fan. We paid to upgrade to an ocean view after we booked…and we’re happy that we didn’t pay the full price because the “ocean view” was just the Marina unfortunately. Location was good, overall the staff were nice as we came and went throughout the day and made accommodation for our large truck. Parking is kind of expensive at $33/day.

Very disappointing. We were not informed there was no housekeeping service. We arrived late after the whole day at the beach and was sure I would have the room clean. What a bad surprise. When we arrived room was dirty, stuff from other guests behind the cabinet. It obviously has not been cleaned in months. Bath does not drain, bathroom ceiling paint coming off, underneath the sink it is disgusting with lots of dust. With the price we paid I was expecting much more. Would not recommend.

So many great qualities about this hotel but I’m choosing to leave this review because of the customer service I received from the on duty manager Angel and the front desk associates today, Nov 5, 2023. All of them were incredibly hospitable and efficient. I had a malfunctioning fridge and felt a little foolish bringing forth this issue but they were so kind, understanding and quick to fix the problem. Customer service here is top notch.

We had a wonderful overall stay over Thanksgiving, but this review is going to be a shout out to Juan at the restaurant/bar affiliated with the hotel, Sol. The most creative bartender and over-the-top kind and friendly service. Juan went above and beyond to make our (multiple) trips to see him feel special. If we return to Redondo, I’d be open to staying someplace else but coming back to see Juan and drinking one of his cocktails would be a must-do.

Requested a 12 noon check when we made our reservation and showed up and had to wait till 3:30pm to get a room. Then once we used the shower the tub didnt drain. Made a two night reservation with rewards points and paid $368.00 for the second night. Would expect better considering Im a platinum member. I had to rearrange my entire schedule for the day because of it.

After a 23-day round trip, this was our 10th hotel.What a pity we had to end our trip here it was by far our worst experience.We were a 1/2 hour early to check in so we had to wait.The wait ended up being 2 hours of sitting in the lobby without any offer of a drink or storage for our bags.When we finally got to the room it was not clean and there were not enough towels.The towels were replenished and we left it at that because we didnt feel like waiting any longer.Day 2, despite our request, the room was again not cleaned the beds were not made and again there were not enough towels.Housekeeping did want to start making the beds which we refused because we wanted to have our privacy. Day 3 the beds were made, there were again too few towels and the room was again not cleaned.We will definitely never come here again and advise others not to either, there are much better hotels with better service.The meals and breakfast are of good quality, although we find it strange that at a dinner of this level you get your drinks in a can.To be fair we did have a free breakfast to compensate and an appetizer with dinner.However we would have liked that this was not necessary and that we had received the service that we could certainly expect.I also read many comments from the hotel on the reviews, but it seems to be just words because you do see a trend in the negative reviews.Last we would like to note that Oceanview seems a very nice word to half look out on the opposite neighbors and the ocean view is separated by a road large parking lot and the bay.To be honest, we doubt we had the room we paid for.

Stayed here with my family for 7 nights on our trip to California while visiting family.Nice clean hotel, beautiful lobby and decent rooms. Comfortable beds.Breakfast buffet didnt impress but restaurant is nice. You can tell theyre way short staffed. They would run food from from restaurant to bar in lobby. At one point we heard the bartender tell someone to instead go to the restaurant for food (happy hour)Pool was nice and peaceful not crowded.We got to sea the drone show for 4th of July from pool deck.Poolside bar was only open on 4th of July and not any other day which its the usual at most 4 star hotels. Beautiful views from room and from pool area as well.Close to the pier and restaurants there but farther to the beach than I thought.(20 minute walk)Halfway our stay I asked for a room upgrade but they never got back to me. Seems like there is lack of communication within management and employees.Very few times we were greeted at lobby but bartenders and staff were all nice.Overall nice hotel and location but maybe not the best to stay with kids for a whole week. I would come back alone with the wife though.

Less than one hour after I checked out of the hotel, I called the front desk to retrieve an item that I left in my room. The clerk forwarded me to a housekeeping department representative who then told me that the item would be returned to “lost-and-found” if it were found. Since neither of the staff could be bothered with attending to the matter in a timely manner, but instead forwarded the responsibility to another person, the item has actually been lost but not found.

I am posting this review to reflect the lack of efficiency on how their administrative dept works particularly accounting.I booked a reservation for two nights through hotels. Com and canceled well within the free cancellation period.This hotel still charged me incorrectly one night stay for $307.67 back in early Oct and I still have not gotten my refund .The front desk person Michael emailed accounting person Marissa B and no response from her.I have had to sent out 5 emails to them and 2 phone calls to Micheal.Today is Oct 29 and no credit .And this is a 4 star hotel?Ridiculous!!!!Will never stay here.Deplorable customer service.Marissa either needs to get fired or perhaps find another job!

Really beautiful views, close to the beaches and very friendly staff. The have a laundry room and garage parking. No microwaves but our room faced the ocean. One downside is that since our room was all the way on the other side of the hotel they only have one elevator and the walk was a bit long. They also service airline crews so check in and out may take a bit to do because of the crews. The staff works as fast as possible. Overall a great stay.

We are professional photographers and world travelers. We stayed at the property because we were there to photograph a wedding. We loved the location, the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Especially the valet parking staff, they helped us coordinate parking for our vehicle so that we could rush the bride and groom off for romantic photos before sunset. We could not have pulled it off without them!! On the downside, we would have given 5 stars for service but the lobby bar was a bit understaffed and it caused some issues with guests. We thought the room looked recently redecorated and it had a nice view but unfortunately for us, it did smell like cigarette smoke. The other rooms we visited were nicely decorated and did not smell like smoke. All in all it was a great experience and we would definitely stay again.

I love its proximity to the water and restaurants! Not awfully far from LAX but not close either. The outside seating areas and lobby are first class and modern. Great infused scents in the lobby and great service.The front desk staff was great. Valet is $36 and self parking is $33, so you make the choice. The parking garage is attached and literally steps away.The jacuzzi and pools service needs repair. For a hotel like this, I wasnt expecting to see the services chipped. Its cool that it overlooks the ocean when you stand up. You cant see it when youre in the pool or lounging but still cool. A tennis court is also available.Bathrooms could use some updating. The vent in the bathroom needs cleaning. Had caked up dust on it. Kind of hard to miss when youre in the shower. Balcony is nice. I had the full ocean view but the pool view will encompass the same and more for less per night. Id definitely return for many reasons!

Had a big family reunion at the hotel! They were very accommodating with the family, with all of the check ins and the use of the Catalina room for games and activities.Our specific room had a lovely view of the ocean. The sliding glass door to our room had great noise canceling as well. We were able to hear live music from a local car show with it open and then close it to take a nap. Great room, clean and functional, no issues!

It was a little rough finding me a room being that I got there late, and it was all sold out due to taylor swifts 6 day concert & a rave. They were sold & busy, so I understand, but they should have a room service person or 2 in the evening to assist with busy nights. My room had sand on the bed, but they were extremely accomdating in working with what they had to show me. Nonetheless the staff was friendly & accomodating. The location was great. I had a great time. The 3rd floor rooms can use some tlc. My room on the 2nd was good, spacious with a balcony & decent closet space. 👌

Lived nearby this place for 10 years and just had an opportunity to try the place out. I love this hotel. The staff was sincerely nice and the amenities were exactly what I wanted. I stayed at the Sonesta overnight while away with work. It seems like the hotel caters mainly to flight crews and business travelers during the week. The room was huge, comfy, quiet, and dark! The hotel itself is conveniently located in Redondo/Hermosa and an easy walk to the beaches and boardwalks. It was a little dated but I would stay here again.

Nice hotel in the center of everything. With a eager to help staff and comfy rooms. Its a sure hit. So, so close to the airport. This is the perfect place for quiet, fun, rest, and relaxation. The rooms are perfectly appointed. Beautiful oceanfront view from my suite. My meal from foodservice was delivered quickly and friendly and was set up unobtrusively. The steak was cooked perfectly! Which is saying something since its difficult to find a rare steak in S.California! The check-in process was seamless and was made to feel valued. The staff is just incredible, everyone! This is a large hotel with excellent front desk and concierge service. The valet greeted us upon each arrival. Very friendly. We rented bikes on site to take advantage of the bike trail that runs up and down the coast by the beach. The pool is large and hot tub, hot. The location is great with restos within walking distance and the lagoon across the street. We enjoyed our patio facing the ocean and heard sea lions. Theres a shopping plaza about 3.5 blocks that has whole foods and other shops. Ive been to this hotel several times when it was a Crowne Plaza. This is the first time Ive stayed since its sonesta. I would come back again.

Normal hotel room, nothing special to go on about. I really loved the black out curtains, they were better than most hotels. This hotel is located near plenty of places. The lobby bar and lobby in general is busy.The reason I didnt give it 5 stars was lack of security. Anyone can get to your room. There is nothing stopping people from the street to come in and bust in your room. I personally like elevators that work with key cards and door men. Yes, I know things can be faked and crime happens even with these things. It still would stop random dumbbells or junkie people not thinking proper, from following someone home to their hotel.I ate food from home and not the hotel, so cant really comment about it. If I happen to return, I will update my rating.

Our stay here in Redondo Beach was excellent! Each staff member went above and beyond with a smile to accommodate our 5 day stay. The ambiance is clean and has a welcoming aroma with beautiful live well maintained flowers. Rick at the bar was extremely nice making our vacation very memorable. Parking lot was dark & far away from the rooms, elevators were located in one part of a 3 pc hotel so the walk was long. The rooms were nice & cool but the bathrooms was dim & small the vent barely worked. I have a family of 6 so total of 8 people & it was draining to walk so much after a day spent at the beach. Customer service was great & the view was beautiful I would give this 3 stars but the non smoking policy on the balcony prevented me from doing so.

This Sonesta is outstanding. The staff were wonderful, especially Angel. Luis, the manager, was amazing. The only downside is the parking situation. The fees are high and the automated system was not functioning. People playing their personal music by the pool was irritating; especially the young kids and their heavy metal sounds. We had to close our doors and go inside, despite having notified the front desk. It would have been handy to have a restaurant on site.

The location of this hotel near the pier is great. The hotel facility is very nice. We were a little disappointed in their definition of “Full ocean view” (see pic). We have had far better ocean views without paying extra for it. If you like to walk or ride bicycle this is a great place to stay. Breakfast was very good quality for a buffet. Other than room placement for a Spire member who had more than 50 nights stay last year the staff was great. The WiFi in my street front room was spotty at best. We could connect but getting any data to pass was futile. If you are looking for a quick exit this is not the place to stay. It is at least 15 and more likely 20 minutes from the nearest freeway.

The staff was incredibly friendly, I was able to get an early check in and able to store my luggage there for a time after check out. The rooms were clean, updated with a flat screen abd had some lovely touches. I really appreciated the relaxation kit (with lotions and room spritz), and the reading lights on the headboards. The hotel is beautiful. Located conveniently accrues from the harbor and just down the street from the beach. The rooms are spacious, the lanai is beautiful even though you are seeing the roof, you get to see the harbor, hear seals and the harbor bell.Room service is very kind and friendly, prices are a bit steep. The bathtub seems to have some sort of backup from the plumbing system. You can hear it bubbling up all night, then see the black residue in the morning.

The fireworks were amazing and they let the guests watch from the roof top pool area and even kept it open till 10pm vs closing it at 7pm. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It’s a very walkable area.There’s a bike rental place across the street with super kind staff.We enjoyed the short walk to the Redondo Beach pier area often where we ate ridiculously yummy seafood - my favorite was the poke from Quality Seafood Inc. We rented kayaks (paddle boat also available) from this area and went out to see the sea lion barge. Stinky buggers, but magical.Stayed here multiple weeks- would do it again!

They have convenient self parking, the beds are comfortable but I would grade it closer to a 3.5 due to ocean views not being the best since its across the street from Marina....nothing you can do about it. This is a great place to stay in Redondo Beach. Right on the boardwalk that leads up to Venice Beach and Santa Monica. We rented their electric bikes and had a blast. A home away from home for 6 nights. Strategically located near everything around Redondo, including a 10mins walk to Hermosa beach. Clean room but dated furnitures. My room was VD but the frontdesk made it up by giving me another room, with a view of the pool and the (far away) sea. Love the balcony as they gives some sense of space. Love the bar and too bad they closes by 10pm, very popular and services is good. Staffs is very prompt and friendly and they make sure you are well treated. The caters food for the meeting was good. No complains on F&B department!

This is a very nice hotel located right near the Redondo Beach Pier within easy walking distance of several restaurants. The lobby is attractive with a large bar area. The room was well appointed with a nice view of the Pier and Ocean. Wifi was free, but was a bit weak, particularly during busy periods. It is a bit pricey. Self-parking in the adjacent garage is $26/day. The breakfast buffet is very good, but came to $28 with tax.

Me and my family spent a week in this hotel. Overall it was good. When I checked in they gave me a room with partial view to the ocean when I had paid for a full view. I came back to the lobby, and they tried to explain me that my room I was given was one of the full view to the ocean. I did not buy it. But they were able to change the room. That was great! The pool is a little bit small for the amount of guests that the hotel can handle. Location is the best part. You can walk everywhere you want and find places of interests super fast. Everything is close Redondo beach pier and Hermosa beach are next to the hotel. At night I could hear some noises coming out of the water pipes within the walls. Could not hear any noise from above since the building is all concrete (Second best part since I hate hearing steps above me) Beds are fantastic I was able to sleep very well even with my back issues. Parking fee is a little bit high considering there are some parking places nearby that are way cheaper that the hotel one. I could see a lot of dirty plates and silverware from room service food sitting next to room doors. Normally I would not care, but since I have children I struggle with them to avoid touching that! Lastly, Rubys restaurant is across the street which I loved!

This hotel is great, I love the rooms and the beds are comfortable. If you enjoy the outdoors, you can go across the street and rent a bike for the day. There is a 22-mile bike path that bikes across Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhatran Beach. The trail has no vehicles. Hermosa Beach is about 1 mile slightly more from the hotel, so you can walk there.Also the restaurant downstairs has pretty good food. I recommend the shrimp tacos.

I probably stay here more than 50 nights a year for work. And have been now for 20 years. Out of habit, not because I like it.Rooms are uncomfortable. Beds really uncomfortable. Very thin walls and hear doors slamming a lot. Shower head is at neck level. No free breakfast or coffee. Parking is expensive.But... location is great. Good for walking to either Hermosa or Redondo Piers. Location alone keeps me coming back, but there’s pretty much nothing else I like about it.

Aside from the lobby, which is light and bright, the rooms are dark and need an update, or at least a deep cleaning. I chose the hotel because it touted itself as beachfront. What I mostly saw was a parking lot with the harbor in the distance (room 3096). The room was not worth the steep cost for two nights mid-week.To make things worse, I left an expensive hairdryer in my room on accident. As soon as I got home I phoned the hotel, but nothing was turned in by housekeeping. That was a real bummer, especially since I had left the housekeeper a nice tip. I was very disappointed the hairdryer was not turned in as it should have been.Furthermore, ordering food for room service is difficult. When you call the room service number, the phone rings and rings and then goes to a voicemail asking you to leave your room number and someone will call you back. However, I did so and no one called me back. About 45 minutes later, I was finally was able to place an order.Finally, trying to reach the hotel by telephone in general (to look for the lost hairdryer) is very difficult. Management should try calling the hotel between 4 and 6 and see if they can speak to a human (good luck). My experience is that one is placed on hold over and over until finally disconnected by the hotel (after 3 cycles of returning to the main menu, the line automatically disconnects). Not a very good way to treat ones customers.I will say the food that came from the room service was tasty and the bed was comfortable, but that was about it.Overall, I was really disappointed in this hotel.

The rooms are spacious and ours had an ocean side view. Its very close to the airport and right next to the beach but an hour drive from downtown LA/the Hollywood sign. No complimentary breakfast or free parking but the price at which youre getting the rooms, its quite a steal. Overall would recommend staying here.

We stayed there for a short getaway to the beach. What an experience! Instead of a pleasant night it was a nightmare! Woke up pouring in sweat, the room temperature registered it at 79 degrees and even though I made sure the temperature control was set to cool with 69 degrees, the room temperature didntchange! I told the receptionist at the front desk and all she said was: Oh Im sorry what a disgrace of a customer service. Only reason I gave two stars and not zero was because the room service server was amazing, besides this, such a unpleasant and horrible experience.

Pros: Very nice hotel, extravagant appearance and very clean. Parking and door system use the same RFID cards, which worked without issue. Comfortable room accommodations. Very good location. Cons: Parking on the second level of the structure requires taking a short flight of stairs to reach an elevator (not a big deal if youre traveling light). Im pretty sure the spray meant to promote relaxing sleep was meant to be used in a similar fashion as chloroform, based on how it smells. Point of caution: Balcony with seemingly every room does not remotely guarantee a view of anything impressive (ours overlooked the roof of the lobby with a view of the balconies on the other corner of the hotel). As the Cons arent really of much concern, 5 of 5, would sleep again.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza so we could go to the beach before our flight to LAX the next day. We had booked a room with a pool view. However after asking if we could check in early we found we did not have a room with a pool view. The hotel comped us breakfast, which was better than expected. The room was nice, everything was clean and in working order. The water in the lobby was very good. My biggest complaint is the additional cost for parking. I believe it should be included with the room fee. That was the only part I felt nickel and dime. Vending machines are very expensive as well. It was $2.75 for a coke.

Only giving three stars due to location. We’ve stayed here at least twice a year over past few years when it was Crowne Plaza. Won’t be returning. The oommph is just no longer there. Housekeeping needs 4 hrs for you to be gone, we were and still nothing. They no longer provide lotion. Vanity mirror in bathroom doesn’t work. Clothing hook in bathroom is broken. They offer Showtime as a cable channel to watch but showtime didn’t work the entire three days we stayed here . Don’t park your car in valet because they park under a dirty rooftop building or trees- so there’s sticky residue that gets on your vehicle overnight, for $34 nightly! Just not worth it. it’s not like the Crowne Plaza, or like this hotel used to be! We will be finding a new location to stay in when visiting Redondo Beach. Honest review.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff is always nice and very helpful. They have a bar, restaurant, gift shop, atm, gym, outdoor pool, paid parking garage and coin laundry onsite. Your room includes a refrigerator and coffee maker. They have a microwave and ice machines onsite. You have the beach and a pier with restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Also there is a paid public parking lot across the street and you can park RVs and larger vehicles there.

Parking is $28 day or$33 to valet. Valet prices are higher than similar hotels in the area. Within walking distance to the Redondo Pier and beach access in either direction. Recommend you go north to Hermosa. Checkout Najas for an awesome craft beer selection and R10 for excellent food and great drinks.

The cardio room has a decent amount of equipment but the weight room is severely lacking. The ceiling is so low that you hit your head on the tiles when doing pullups on the pullup bar. Also, the hotel doesnt have a good breakfast option for people in a hurry and trying to get out the door.

This is an old hotel that has been remodeled inside so though its outside appearance is not very attractive, it is pleasant inside. They have a very big open-space lobby thats nice. Its located right on the marina so most of the rooms have a balcoy view of the water. The rooms themselves are pretty nice. The bathroom is nothing fancy or modern but it is clean. Its located right near the Redondo Pier so youre located close to everything. The hotel has bikes you can use as well as tennis racquets to use the tennis courts. Nice big pool and small jacuzzi that I didnt get a chance to use. The parking is very expensive but there is some street parking in the neighborhood thats not too far of a walk. Overall I had a relaxing and peaceful stay.

Are stay at the Crowne Plaza was certainly memorable. We attended The BeachLife Festival across the street! I was thoroughly impressed at how well the hotel and hotel staff handled the crowd. Discriminatory practicesI went to this hotel because I had a bad experience at another hotel not related to this one. Once I got there the person checking me in explained the charges for parking because there’s a charge of a customer uses the parking garage but I am disabled and there’s a disable parking space in front of the building that I was using because the garage is to far to walk with the pain I have walking and I was told that I still will be charge. She asked me to slide my card to pay then 5 minutes later I was told to slide it again. Now I have two different charges on my card and the hassle of getting this undone is infuriating. The place is nice but the customer service I received was all bad.

Ive been to one of the bridal expos here. The hotel is very clean, right off the stand and is in-between Redondo Beach Pier and Hermosa Beach stand. There a bike rental place out side, across the street, that has very good prices. Hotels services is good, valet is quick, guest services is a little slow but almost never a line. Bartenders know there stuff and hook it up if you chat then up. Lack of parking is my biggest con due to the location, but the hotel makes up for it. I gave them 5 starts because in spite of the lack of parking the services are very good, polite, and always putting guests & attendees first. If I didnt already live in Torrance I would stay here.

As a guest attending a holiday event, I got to experience the service staff on a busy Saturday night. Everyone was contributing to keeping the event running smoothly. From the valet and people greeting you at the door, to the food service and bar, everyone had a role causing you to see a well-managed event. The hotel was nice, rooms were clean and balcony was awesome to watch the 4th of July fireworks!However, check-in time was 4 pm. We arrived at 1:30, and were told room would be ready by 4, and that we would get a call when it was ready, if available sooner. Went to the pier, ate, walked around, and got back to hotel at 3:30. Didnt receive a phone call so I figured the room want ready yet, no big deal since check-in was at 4. Was told by girl at front desk they will put a rush order to get room clean, and room will be ready in about 30-45 minutes, we could go to the pool and come back to check-in. Went to pool, and since it was overcast and a little chilly we didnt stay long. Went back to front desk at 4:18, room still want ready and would take about another hour. So Im sitting in the air-conditioned lobby, with a soaking wet 3 year old still having to wait another hour and a half past check-in time to get our room. Had to speak with front desk manager to find out what was going on. Manager told me they just put a rush on the room, and should only be another 15-20 minutes. I asked the manager what was taking so long past the hotels scheduled check-in time, and was left standing at counter for 20 minutes before she cameback to tell me room will be ready in 10 minutes. Finally got in the room, but daughter got sick from having to stay in wet clothes, unable to have a place to change her. I understand the holiday pushed the cleaning schedule, back, but I should have been advised of this BEFORE having to ask three times to check-in. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Too bad, it was a nice place.

Front office agent was rude and not helpful.Arrived after 15 hours flight (around 3PM), I was told by the front office agent (Stephanie) that the room was not ready.Went to put the luggage at my colleagues room which happen to check in together but her room is ready.When i dropped by 10 minutes later, I asked politely whether its possible to get room on the same floor, she was just responded that she doesnt have anything without even checking. What an attitude of a front office agent which expected to be friendly and helpful.I wonder how the hotel is providing training on customer service and evaluating the customer service experience provided.Another colleague (Angel) was much more helpful as he tried to find rooms as I have evening meeting which i need to change clothes and get ready.
