What a wonderful experience! Matt is extremely professional and so fun. He is prompt with communication, and helps with whatever you need every step of the way. We had a very different style playlist we were looking for on our wedding day and he more than delivered! The dance floor was full all night.He had music set up to play throughout our entire venue, with the volume level perfectly set to still be able to mingle. None of his equipment was too “invasive” and didn’t take away from the aesthetic of the wedding itself.We met up in person twice- once upon booking him to ensure it was the right fit, and another two weeks before our wedding day. He is such an easy going person, our meetings lasted a little longer because it was like hanging out with an old friend.Thank you Matt for helping our day be absolutely perfect! Would 110% recommend to anyone looking to book for their wedding!

My husband and I got married March 25 and Matt was absolutely amazing! He was very easy to talk to gave great advice and input and made planning stress free. He also helped us keep to our time line and gave us heads up throughout the wedding when he would be announcing like first dance or the garter toss etc. He also offered a slide show to add on to his DJ services which all the guest loved because we were able to share photos to all our guest and we themed our Our Story. I would highly recommend Matt if you need DJ!!

Matt was absolutely amazing! We had a renaissance/Game of Thrones themed wedding, and the music was very important to us to maintain the ambiance we were looking for. Matt listened to us and made our extensive playlist happen. He made us feel comfortable when we were sharing our vision, and he always had such a positive and excited attitude.We got married at the North Star House, and since he was familiar with the venue, he took the time to meet us there to give us some advice on where to place our tables, bar, catering etc.We had a DIY photo booth, and needed extension cords and to coordinate where the outlets were for setting it up. Matt brought his own extension cords for us and taped them down so that it was one less thing for us to worry about.We also did our version of the shoe game that we renamed the crown game to go with our theme. Matt suggested having our friends and family write questions in notebooks that we placed on the tables. He volunteered himself in reading out the questions because we were undecided on which family or friend to ask. We are so glad we had Matt read them, because he did such a great job, and all of our guests really enjoyed it.Matt is so much more than a DJ. He kept us on track with our schedule, and worked closely with our day-of-coordinator to make sure that everything went smoothly. Matt truly loves what he does, cares about his clients, and goes above and beyond. We could not have asked for a better DJ!

Someone Said Yes (Matt) is amazing! Not only is Matt a fantastic DJ, he is a true lifesaver. One week before our wedding (9/5/2020), our wedding musician hurt herself resulting in her having to back out. In stepped Matt, he decided to work with us 6 days before our wedding. Before the wedding we had a wonderful phone consultation with him where we got to know about his services. Matt also provided some wonderful guidance regarding our ceremony and our reception. He was extremely professional yet friendly and open. It automatically felt right! Fast forward to the wedding, Matt was on point! He made sure everything was well organized, properly done, and super fun! Because of Matt, our small, intimate wedding turned into an unbelievably good time-yet safe, Matt wore a mask as requested. In addition, he helped us figure out how to implement some COVID precautions regarding the entertainment/dancing! Matt is AMAZING! When we first met Matt, we knew it was going to be a great partnership. He took so much time to understand our vision and give us advice for how to execute it in a fun and effective way. For us, this was no easy task! Our wedding involved a log sawing, a pre-dinner warm up dance, and ended with a kidnapping. If youre confused look up German Wedding Traditions :) Matt didnt skip a beat in helping us figure out how to involve our friends, make this fun, and create unforgettable memories. On top of that he kept the dance floor full and our guests loved interacting with him! He was our favorite wedding vendor to work with hands down (or up!!)! Highly recommend!

Matt was a phenomenal DJ for our wedding in every aspect - planning, coordination, and execution. We found planning with Matt to a breeze. We had an initial video call where we were able to tell him exactly what we were hoping for, and then periodic video calls leading up to big day where we were able to dial in the details. Coordination on the day of was also very easy. Despite not playing the venue before, Matt was a true professional and handled it with ease. He was prompt, showing up 3+ hours early, and had all of his equipment ready to go (an outdoor ceremony setup & indoor reception set up) well in advance. He even helped me plan a reception speech surprise for my bride prior to the ceremony! And lastly - but certainly most important - Matt was an excellent DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. Matt helped us have a beautiful ceremony with the recessional & processional we envisioned, and had us micd up during the ceremony for our guests to hear. After the ceremony, Matt moved indoors and got the party started. The music was everything we could have hoped for, and our guests were on the dance floor all night long!!! As a nice bonus, he even compiled some video footage from our special day!Matt was truly fantastic and an absolute pleasure to work with through and through. Hes a highly skilled DJ, and I highly recommend him as a DJ for your wedding or other event.

My husband and I got married in May 2023. When it came to the music, I knew I liked country music and I knew as the night went on, I wanted people to get DOWN on the dance floor. I didnt really give DJ Matt too much to go of off but he NAILED it. It every way, before the ceremony, during cocktail hour, the reception and everything in between. During your wedding planning, all you want is for people to just go with the flow and make your decisions and life easier. Matt definitely did that for us and we couldnt be more grateful. We received multiple compliments on our DJ! He also provides a photo booth, I recommend doing that, some of the best and funniest photos came from that photo booth! Matt did our wedding in Foresthill at the end of October and it was PERFECT! Throughout the planning process, from first contact forward, he was super communicative, professional, and easygoing. First off, Matt was AMAZING!!We met Matt at a wedding venue open house and he was so nice and easy to talk to, very easy going. We ended up booking him for our wedding that night. Matt was great at communicating the process so we knew exactly what to except and how things were going to go.We scheduled a meet up with Matt to go over the timeline of the wedding day. He was very well versed in what style songs to place at certain parts of the wedding. Hype vs slower etcHe really put in the time and shared his opinion and experiences. Matt was an AMAZING wedding DJ and was exactly the collected, calm center of our day while brining FANTASTIC dance floor vibes. We went without a wedding planner and were to grateful to Matt for sitting with us for an hour to hear our vision for the day and then sending us a suggested schedule based on his experience. He even connected with our Photographer to get engagement pictures to display in front of the DJ stand. We got a mid-size dance floor since about half our guests werent dancers but everyone was dancing and we ran out of dance floor space (not a bad problem if you ask me).He helped to make sure things stayed on track, politely declined song requests from our absolutely not category and kindly assisted me in convincing my husband to give a bit more leeway on that list so that we, and all our guests could have a memorable time.He even had a camera pointed at the dance floor which displayed on his stand, so cool.Id share photos of the packed dance floor but faces :)

Wow, I genuinely feel like 5 stars just doesnt cut it. You 100% will not regret your decision to hire Matt with Someone said yes. This is one thing I feel you should not cut costs on and for the exact reason I am giving this review. Matt was so professional and fun to work with, he had brilliant ideas that we had not thought of and was just as excited as we were for our ideas. Matt was SUPER patient with me as I was indecisive about music and gave great suggestions. His set up is second to none and we received so many compliments on his performance and set up. Overall Matt was so much fun to have on your big day and such a big help. He made sure I was informed of everything to come and communicated beautifully with me. And after looking through his Instagram, we knew that he had the skills and style that we were looking for. Matt delivered that and so much more.During our first call, Matt was so easy to talk to. He was patient and knowledgeable; he didn’t hesitate to work with creative song choices but would also offer insight if we couldn’t make a decision. When we asked to add his assisted photobooth service (Someone Said Smile!) at the very last minute, Matt made it happen with no complaints. We even leaned on him to help us finalize our timeline and he was happy to help with that, too!On our wedding day, Matt arrived early, looking fresh, and dressed to impress. Along with his custom DJ Booth and Photobooth setup, he brought lights, microphones, and little table signs with a QR-code for requests. He guided us through our ceremony and made our song choices flow together perfectly. We recently had our wedding at the end of June and Matt from Someone Said Yes was our DJ. Our wedding would not have been the same without him. Our venue provided challenges (no amplified music and only lounge level sound) for any DJ and Matt handled it very professionally with the venue staff and provide the venue with much needed guidance and direction for future events. Not only was Matt very responsive and energetic from the beginning, he was very genuine and professional the entire time we spent working with him. We booked him over a year ago and from the first email he was very organized which made me feel very comfortable because I have never planned a wedding before. He was the only vendor I never worried about! I knew he was on top of everything. He break down his style of DJ work thats easy to understand. He is very knowledgeable with music and his love for it. He is very energetic and honest. What you see is what you get! You dont know me but just hire Matt on my word, a stranger on the internet! Our main requirement when searching for a wedding DJ was we didnt want cheesy wedding music, and we didnt want a DJ that played the same songs at every other wedding. My first meeting with Matt was at least an hour and I felt like he got us from the get go. He understood our vibe and clearly caters his music to each couples needs/wants. Not only music, he also created our original day of wedding schedule that our planner and other vendors all built off of. The day of our wedding, music at every portion of the day went off without a hitch. I even threw a last minute song change at him 30 minutes before our ceremony and he rolled right along with it. During the reception our dance floor was filled the entire time, right up until the last song, and our guests were asking for the dancing to go even longer! My biggest wedding fear was no one would dance, but Matt assured me hes never DJd a wedding where no one danced! In addition to his music skills hes friendly, funny, easy to talk with, quick to respond to emails, has great suggestions on all things wedding related, and we are SO GLAD we found him and hired him. The search for a DJ was troublesome because either of us didnt have much experience in this area and didnt know what to expect. Matt did a great job at first conversation in providing a visual to what our day will look like. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and provided us with a lot of great suggestions for things weve never even considered. He has a great setup, even offers QR bar codes for guests to requests music from. Our day of couldnt have gone any better. He works very well with guests and vendors alike. Stop your search for a wedding DJ right now – book Matt. Just do it. Matt stuck with us through 2 COVID postponements and we are just so happy that we booked him. My husband and I wanted our wedding to be a *party* (dancing at weddings is our favorite thing!), so we knew we had to get a great DJ. Matt put together a great playlist to keep everyone dancing all night, but thats not all. He confirmed things with me before we started and he made a point to ask each wedding party member the correct pronunciations of their names before introducing them which is something that you dont see very often!I cannot say enough great things about Matt! Best DJ in the Game. We had them Play for our wedding and it was awesome. So easy to work with and a real professional. Everyone was talking about the music and dancing afterwards. Such an amazing day and it wouldn’t have been the same without them.Matt was Very professional through the whole process of getting our likes and dislikes and building a list of music our guests enjoy. We hired Matt to DJ our wedding in Nevada City in September 2018 and he was AMAZING! Very detail oriented and wants to do everything he can to make your day go smoothly. Our initial meeting with him was over a glass of wine and we left with 2 pages of typed notes from him! He was always really easy to get a hold of and nailed our music for the night. Our wedding would not have been as big of a success if it werent for Matt (Someone Said Yes). He was attentive from the moment we sent our first email. We searched for several DJs before our wedding and once we stumbled upon Matt, we knew he was the one! All of his reviews sounded like exactly what we wanted and he 100% lived up to it! From the very beginning he was super responsive and even offered to meet in person over drinks to get to know each other (pre covid). Then COVID happened......and everything was postponed. He worked with us to reschedule our date and we ended up meeting over zoom instead. Im a super detail oriented person who was also planning and designing our wedding on my own, he spent the time to hammer down all the little details that were special to us.
