If you’re like me and are sick of stupidly high electric bills, the decision to go solar wasn’t hard — the hard decision is which solar company to trust with your solar install. I researched several big name vendors and was discouraged because it all felt pushy, overwhelming and scam-y.That changed when I came across SolarShoppers. Not only did Shawn explain things to me like I’m an intelligent human being, he took the time to understand my family’s complicated needs before making system recommendations. He made the entire process was seamless AND I’m now getting credit back on my electric bill every month. Shawn also confirmed that we were eligible for the solar battery rebate program due to our medical baseline, which covered the cost of our solar batteries and saved us SO much money!There are a lot of companies out there who will try to win your business - my experience taught me that there aren’t a lot that actually deserve it. I was trying to squeeze in under nem 2.0 and had been talking to a couple companies. I didnt get the sense of urgency from them to get approved by 4/14. I called SolarShoppers on a weekend and left a message. Shawn called me back right away and spent over an hour with me talking about how they are working on the applications to get them in and make sure they dont get rejected for something dumb. He said they didnt need any money to put me in and I wouldnt pay anything until install. He even agreed to put a clause in the contract that we would only proceed if we got approved for nem 2.0. Their price was fair also so we went for it.They checked and double checked the submission and even reviewed it with a 3 people team to see if they could find anything wrong before the deadline. I got approved with two days to spare.The install happened quickly after that and they were very careful with my older roof tiles that are hard to match. The few they broke they replaced with matches they had in their boneyard. I was satisfied. The entire system was done in a day as Zekes team was very efficient and the electrician Henry was great also. The inspection went smoothly shortly after and I am now covering two A/C units and my pool pump running simultaneously with a couple KWh to spare that I am putting back into the grid. Its fun to see the arrow on the meter point to the grid instead of the house and my system has been performing at max capacity on sunny days so far. Levon even followed up with a call to get me setup on the app and answer my outstanding questions.Im pretty demanding of the contractors I use and they usually dont live up to my expectations but I cant think of one single thing SolarShoppers could have done better...maybe ditch the corny radio adds. LoL Completely satisfied and didnt have any of the issues some of our friends had with their companies.A++ company who is on top of their game. Dont waste your time with the others. If you want it to go smoothly, SolarShoppers is your one stop shop.

If you are looking for solar in the AV, look no further. This company is legit and worth 5 stars plus. The entire job was done in less than 2 months.That is from the first contact to inspection and connection with SCE. Everyone that runs or works for SolarShoppers are very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to get a hold of to ask questions.My install is so nice, my neighbors didnt even know I had solar if I didnt tell them. I started saving a lot of money from day one.I cant recommend them enough. I hear horror stories from people using other companies and wish I was able to give them advise before they went with the wrong company.Please do yourself a favor and call SolarShoppers if you are thinking about solar. We had such an incredible experience with Solar Shoppers! I would rate 100 stars if I could. We recently purchased a home with solar panels already on it. Unfortunately shortly after closing and our recent heavy rains we discovered an existing leak which appeared to be coming from an area on the roof seemingly underneath the panels. After many calls to various roofing companies in an attempt to find the exact spot of the leak and repair, we were advised that they were unable to do anything, or even look further into our issue until the panels were removed as they were not qualified to do so. Thankfully after a brief call to Solar Shoppers an appointment was set basically next day due to the urgency of the matter. The technicians arrived promptly as scheduled and were very professional and courteous. After a quick investigation of the attic and maybe half an hour on my roof, they were able to pinpoint the exact location of the leak, replaced the tile that shifted, cleaned the area that a Pidgeon apparently nested and made home then resealed and repaired the roof. Cant be more thankful and appreciative to the team at Solar Shoppers for going above and beyond our expectations to help us! The owner was very understanding to our situation and went out of his way to ensure that we were taken care of and help us in our time of dire need. Thanks again Solar Shoppers!! Solarshoppers did an excellent job of installing my panels and designing a system that would fit the needs of my house. They kept in contact with me the entire time, and the installation was done in less than a day. They did all the work with the city for permits and SCE for the authority to operate. Highly recommend this company for your installation!

I chose them because they were a local company utilizing only their own employees (not subcontractors), because I figured everything would be better coordinated, and therefore run smoothly--and it did. The sales rep and the company owner (who I had a chance to speak with) were friendly and likeable, as were the technician and electrician. I found them to be very responsive to all my inquiries, and very easy to work with. Things moved along quite quickly, and I was up and running even sooner than I expected. I havent had any issues in the few months that my system has been operating, but I feel confident that if I did have any, they would be responded to faster than another company that contracted the work out.

Best decision I have ever made and at the perfect time.I live in Tehachapi, and never considered getting solar, that is until I was forced to purchase an electric vehicle due to the rising price of fuel and having to drive to Bakersfield every day for work. Solar Shoppers was referred to me by my sister whom did a ton of research first. I took her advice and contacted Solar Shoppers. Wow, what a breath of fresh air, this company was not only friendly, but they were knowledgeable and professional! The installation went very smoothly because they are so organized. I am not only saving money on my electricity for my home and hot tub, but I no longer have to pay for fuel, my total cost for home electricity, hot tub and vehicle is a total of $39.00/month. I got two referrals from friends. I like that they have a store front. I have the owners and installers cell phone numbers. Price was comparable to other solar companies. The estimate was 2 to 3 months to be hooked up and after inspection. 10 days after I signed the contract they called and installed it the next day. I was surprised to get the inspection done and be selling back to the grid within a month of signing the contract. These guys are great!!! The install was done perfectly, the electrical conduit was really clean and painted to match the stucco. Great company all around. Beautiful workmanship. My SCE bills for August, September and October were a total of $80. Normal cost for August last year was $340. Since I got solar we often keep the AC set at 73 to 75 degrees. Recommend this company highly!

This company is amazing! This is my 1st review I have ever written and the reason is simple, they were the best in all aspects a consumer is looking for that I have experienced. Super responsive, professional, knowledgable, and provided the best price owning solar. I shopped around and had several questions regarding solar panel production, roof warranty, and SCE connection process. Shawn, the owner, answered every question, quickly, with very informative responses. Levon was also extremely helpful with my questions during the entire process. I had solar installed in 2 days from initial quote. I couldnt believe how fast Shawn and his installation team completed the job, including the SCE inspections. We started the process of getting solar in September to beat the changes coming out in NEM 3.0. We gathered some online quotes, but really preferred a local company. Reached out to SolarShoppers to get a quote and Levon sent us a one pretty quickly. We really appreciated no pressure from SolarShoppers to make a decision one way or another on any of the specs and they didnt push a timeline for deciding. They were very kind and answered a lot of questions we had which we appreciated as well. Since interest rates were going up soon and changes to the NEM agreements were set to take affect, we decided to pull the trigger with SolarShoppers. We ultimately paid a bit more than if wed have gone with Tesla or some other company that is not local, but our service will ultimately be better and quicker while supporting a local business. We had some roof work that needed to get done and they took care of that as well. Roof and solar install were done in 1 day each. Inspection was a breeze and our system was powered on probably about 6 weeks after we reached out to SolarShoppers. PTO from SCE came about 3 weeks later. Production has been right on track with what was predicted despite lots of trees in our yard and it being winter time! SolarShoppers also followed up a couple of weeks after PTO to make sure we were ok and to answer any questions. Would recommend SolarShoppers to anyone in the area looking to get solar, especially before NEM 3.0 takes effect! They also sell battery systems too!

This company is spectacular. A year and a half ago was considering a solar lease through another company and comparison shopped with these guys and ended up buying a system through them. My main POC was Levon and he was straight forward about options and no pressure whatsoever. He made himself available at odd hours to match my schedule which I really appreciated. He managed to push paperwork through in a tight timeline on his end to ensure a maximum rebate. Installation was completed in like a day and Ive had zero issues since then. These guys are AWESOME! I was looking into leasing some solar like others here. I shopped some stuff around and when I spoke with Levon it was HANDS DOWN the best deal. I even had the previous solar company I was going to lease through tell me, that is a great deal we cant beat, go with them. Then about 8 months later I was looking into pools and trying to estimate the whole cost. I called up Levon (he remembered me!) and got a quick quote of what I would need with adding a pool. He then called back towards the end of the day and let me know he just so happened to have the panels I needed already in stock and he would cut me a deal if I proceeded, of course I agreed!! Guys showed up when they said they would, were fast and very professional! DO NOT GO WITH ANYONE ELSE!

My spouse and I called SolarShoppers to get a quote on a panel replacement for a house we just purchased. When my spouse called, the person on the line said “we can’t help you.” When I called, I was transferred to someone who explained that they didn’t want to order the panel themselves and that I should order the panel. They then explained that the panel could only be installed by someone else. What’s the point of their solar company when they refuse to install some solar panels?

First of all, I am a real person. I did not get paid or received a discount to write this review. Solar is still a major investment, that certainly would have been nice. :-)Installation: It took 31 days from the day I had signed the contract. 3 guys worked all day, inspector signed it off next afternoon. No issues, no one got hurt and quality of work was great. They had also fixed broken tiles for free, so that was super nice.Prior to going with solar shoppers, I got 2 other quotes. Some systems were a bit more expensive, Vivint was comparable. Overall cost of ownership was the same. However, Zenernet told me 6 months wait, and Vivint 3 month. The advantage is going with local companies is that they know the people in planning department, building and safety and know what is required by the city to pass the inspection and ultimately get the permission to operate and get credit for extra power produced. For me, personally this was a deal breaker. You can research multiple stories about solar going wrong and people paying for the solar and not able to use energy produced.Levon, the DBA owner was very responsive and available at minute notice. The longest reply took like 4 hours on a weekend. He takes his biz seriously and will work to get what you need. The only issue I had with communication, was technical knowledge of the team. I had built 2 off-grid solar systems, so I am very familiar with the process and technical requirements and specs. The guys were not able to answer my questions, in relation how many panels are in the chain, are they connected parallel and what is nominal voltage etc. Not a huge deal, I just had to do more research ... Levon later sent me a detailed plan with all specs outlined. Guys were a little defensive since I was asking questions, they did not readily know how to answer.Equpment and access: As of June of 2022, they were using SolarEdge inverters and proprietary app that lets you monitor your array. Initially I only was granted a monitoring access, and guys were playing dumb when I asked for admin level. Had to call Solar Edge and speak to someone in India to get access modified. Now I can see all my panels individually and trouble shoot if needed. If you want to know the details and be aware of the possible issues with the set up, I will highly recommend admin level.Those are only two things that got me a little upset. All was resolved. I do not feel it is necessary to give less starts for that.I did all the homework in terms of array size etc. So, there was no sells pitching or any kind of nonsense where I was being sold unicorn farts. I asked for the specific system, and they delivered.I would suggest for any potential buyer to get multiple quotes. Check your annual consumption, SCE website is a great resource for that. Expect to pay the bill in summer months if you got recommended system. Credits later will take care of that. Understand that solar is less efficient in summer and very hot days. 7kwt system will provide 7kwt only when all panels are in full sunlight and its 70 degrees outside. In winter months the system might be making only half of what it is rated for. So do your homework. Solar is the way to go, with electricity going up every year and crazy heat waves that last 2 months.I would recommend this biz, and will choose them again if I will ever need it.

Weve had solar in a prior home, and gotten a quote from another company for this home. Both experiences were less than satisfactory. We were a little gun shy about trying to go solar again, but found SolarShoppers, a locally owned company. Kristin came over on Memorial Day weekend to give us the sales information, we decided to go ahead that day. We had panels delivered within a week, installed within 2. We hit some snags with inspection, but SolarShoppers (Adrian and Ernie) were on top of it, and promised me time and time again we would get in before the June 30th deadline. I didnt believe them, but they pulled though. We went from signing to fully operational in just under a month. Thats less time than it took to just get plans from previous companies!! The communication has been stellar, I havent felt like just another number. Im looking forward to many years of cool air because of SolarShoppers!!

We have zero complaints about Solar Shoppers and highly recommend them to anyone looking to install solar.First off, out of 5 different companies we received quotes and they were the lowest when calculating cost/kwh and in our judgement had the best, non-pressure, sales pitch and evaluation of our needs. Levon came by within a day or two of asking for a quote, evaluated our energy bill and factored in the future delivery of a Tesla with our expected daily driving. The system has almost been active for two months now and it is providing enough electricity to cover our consumption (with the Tesla as well). I found him personable, and completely understanding when we told him we were receiving other quotes as well.The installation itself was quick, effortless, and able to start nearly immediately. We notified them we were taking their offer on a Thursday evening and installation started the next Monday and was complete by the end of the week including having all the inspections complete with no effort required of us. Some other companies were quoting 30-90 days as a start date.As I noted before the system is working perfectly, our last electric bill was six dollars and it pretty much rained/snowed half the month so it’s exceeding expectations.

This isnt really about their work because for all I know their work could be outstanding, but I do know that how one presents themselves or behaves in certain public situations could tell you a lot about them. My wife was parked in a shopping center and had an employee of solar shoppers park next to her well over the line to where it was difficult for her to get our son out of the vehicle and while she was attempting to do so the employee started backing out and almost hit her and our son. I understand that there might not have been intent for harm but my wife yelled at the driver to try and get him aware he was getting close and instead of the normal sorry didnt mean to he starts yelling and cursing her out like it was her fault. If he wasnt parked over the line he wouldnt have been that close in the first place. He is a representative of that company and shouldnt be out in town driving like an idiot or cursing out people.

They draw you in with the rebates, and forget to tell you that the solar panels draw pigeons by the herds! They’ll clean them out once for you and then they abandon you after that! And the pigeons really tear up your roof feces and urine so deep you would not believe it.
