Tech was great. On time, courteous, and explained everything. He even took the time to show my wife how much better the panels were functioning after being cleaned. Solarponics has been great to work with. They did our solar panels, breaker box and our Tesla backup batteries. They do regular yearly cleaning of panels also. We highly recommend Solarponics.

Solarponics is my go to company when it comes to energy. They installed my solar system about 10 years ago and have been 100% solid when any issues came up. Ive recommended them to family, friends and acquaintances. Each has been very pleased with their advice and the quality of their work.I recently started electrification of some major appliances in my house (which is why Im filling out a new review). I needed new circuits to be installed including an ev charger, water heater and a sub-panel. I had recommended Solarponics to my next door neighbor who needed her main service panel upgraded along with some electrification, so they performed both jobs concurrently, completing both on schedule. I found the crew to be very competent, friendly and considerate. The jobs came out fantastic!

The guys did a great job helping us remove a solar water heater so roofing repairs could be completed, and then coordinated with the roofer to implement an improved installation for the new heater!! Had a great experience with Solarponics on handling a warranty repair. Even though my install was done by a different installer, Solarponics was able to help me with the warranty process. Carry was great in contacting the manufacturer and following up with me on status. The repair team was great and were very professional. All around, great service and communication. If I could go back in time, I should have used Solarponics for my install as I had a bad experience with the install company I chose.

Our entire experience with Solarponics was amazing. Our Energy Analyst (Phil) was extremely knowledgeable, supportive and patient as he walked us through several design ideas since we didnt want solar on the roof. Their team helped educate us and kept us well informed through the entire process. We were also extremely impressed with the installation team. After much research and at least 2 quotes, I went with solarponics via Jeff Riley. They were professional, easy to work with, timely, good at communicating and made me feel comfortable every step. Did not feel sales pressure. Compared to their other main competitor that I was considering, their financing options were not as good, but their price was lower overall and their information was more reliable when corroborated with my own research. I have been dragging my feet to install solar panels until California ended the NEM 2.0 in 2023. I have been searching around for the solar panel company until I learned that Solarponics is a local outfit and has been in business for a long time. These are the main reasons I picked Solarponics. I do not want a fly by night solar company with the office in Florida. The design, permit application and installation went relatively trouble free. The employees of Solarponics I interfaced were professional, courteous, and seemed to know what they were doing.Jeff Riley, the sale person of Solarponics, is courteous and responsive to my need. The system has just been turned on for just a couple of weeks and so I cannot comment on the after-sale support. Other than that, I am happy with the overall work of Solarponics.

While their staff is both friendly and knowledgeable, it took them over 3 years to finish a project that was scheduled to take less than 6 months when I signed their contract. They also offered free Tesla wall batteries, which they were not able to deliver. I paid more to use Solarponics than some of their competitors charge based on their strong positive reputation, but I spent almost $300K and waited two years longer than I should have to have the project completed. I would have expected some accommodation based on all of the delays, but all I got was finger-pointing and excuses.

Solarponics completed an installation of a 20 panel array on our home here in Paso in November, 2018. In determining our overall four star review, the following parameters were considered: 1.) Sales = 4.5 stars - Phil was very knowledgeable about solar in general and a pleasure to work with throughout the full process. 2.) Installation = 4.5 stars, good team - lead person clearly reviewed where they would install inverter and panels and left with us with a very clean installation. 3.) Documentation = 2 stars specifically, Final Payment email is contradictory / confusing and in addition, their Final Invoice is not totaled correctly (showing a Total, which should be shown as a Final Payment in the body of the invoice). Documentation aside, we would definitely recommend Solarponics, with the caveat that some improvements to the above referenced documents / email communication would be beneficial to their continued success.

There are occasions when your system needs to be serviced… this is as important a part of a solar company as the original installation team. A team recently replaced valves that control the water that heats my indoor pool… work completed not only quickly but with obvious knowledge and skill. A quick check of my other system revealed one non-functioning panel. Information was shared with the company office and repair will be completed when panel is delivered. We have a radiant floor heating that stopped working for a month in the middle of winter. The service company we used in the last two years came and worked on the boiler for 5 hours but could not figure out what went wrong and recommended a $10,000 replacement plus a $1,000 invoice for their time spent to diagnose the boiler (the boiler is 15 yrs old).A friend referred Solarponics. They quickly sent Justin to our house at my plea that I have two elderlies (my mother will be 100 years old next month) in the house. After checking out the unit, Justin called the manufacturer. He was able to isolate the faulty board and ordered the parts. The parts arrived over the weekend. Justin and John came back the following day, replaced the parts and fired the unit. The heater kicked in, the house started warming up!I cannot say enough how happy and relieved my family is. I am so impressed the level of dedication and professionalism these two young men expressed during this job. I am very thankful! Great company and employees!

I cannot recommend Solarponics. My in-laws bought a system from them in 2007. The panels started to malfunction and they tried to sell my elderly mother in law a new system. They said the panel manufacturer went out of business and therefore they cannot replace them under their warranty. Make sure you understand their warranty. There are better options out there.Update: no response from Solarponics so that shod tell you everythingUpdate. Due to Solarponics inaction, I decided to replace the system. Upon removal of the panels, I discovered that they were manufactured by Sanyo WHO STILL MAKES solar panels. This suggests that Solarponics lied to my in-laws. They were told that the solar panels they had installed went out of business and there was a class action lawsuit. Buyer beware.

Aadi, their salesman was very thorough and went over every detail with me prior to our contracting for the installation of our system, which took place in fall, 2021. Along the way, Rob Taylor was very supportive and answered all of my concerns about the installation plan and the work being done. The installation went well after some confusion about whether our roof qualified for the system, which was resolved by getting a couple of opinions from roofers, who approved the installation. The system is generating well and their monitoring system is very comprehensive, so I can see the operation in real time. We had our solar system installed, but had to wait for Tesla to ship the battery to Solarponics. We received our battery about 2 months after the installation of the solar system. We are enjoying our new solar and battery system.Overall I would have to say we were pleased with the work and service provided by Solarponics in getting our solar/battery system up and running. It was important to get this system up and running as PG&E may do a Public Safety Power Shutdown and we have medical equipment that needs power.There were a couple of issues during the installation, such as the inverter had a bad communication board and had to be replaced. Solarponics ensured they received this new board from the manufacturer and immediately replaced it.Everyone in the company were very professional and when we told them about certain issues they immediately corrected them. I would recommend Solarponics for any Solar project you may have.

I had several solar companies come to the house, for an interview, and after meeting Kristian, I knew this was the company that was going to do the work. He was very informative and down to earth. Not pushy trying to sell me something I did not want, etc. They showed up, when they said they were going to, and got the work completed when they said they were going to. They even left the house, after completion, as if they were never there - very clean and organized. What really impressed me, though was a little concerning at first, was when they went up on the roof to install. I had just had the roof replaced and they noticed that their layout, for installation, was not correct (because of the new roof). They got on the phone, to their design team, ten minutes later, there was a revised design to fit and the panels were installed! Their price was in line with two other bids we had received. Their installation was quick, uneventful, thorough, complete with no problems. What a great company! Each time I’ve dealt with them, they’ve been honest, done an excellent job and have been flexible with scheduling. They clearly take pride in their work and leaving the area “cleaner than before.”With so many new solar companies springing up, Solarponics is one of the few that has proven itself with decades of quality work and happy customers.I first called them, because they were the ones that originally installed my solar hot water system in the 1980s, and after more than 30 years, the hot water storage tank was finally starting to leak.They could have made a lot of money by trying to sell me a new one. Instead, they told me that it was an outdated technology, and I’d be better off removing the tank and disconnecting it. They never pressured me to put in an expensive new system to replace it. They disconnected and removed the old, leaking tank, and then hauled it up several flights of stairs with no damage at all. By the time they left, you never would have known it had been there.The second time, my water heater was leaking, and I was without hot water. They rearranged their busy schedule, and installed one the next day. Once again, they did a great job. I got a better water heater installed by professionals for the same price as one at Home Depot.Both times, Service Manager Ryan Montague was incredible to work with, and Deana del Sol went out of her way to work with me on scheduling. Great and very helpful and knowledgeable people. Worked a lot with Lawson back in 2014 when they installed my solar and he was always available to answer all my questions. I was probably starting to annoy them with all my hesitations, but they were always supportive and were never pressuring me one way or the other. Lawson helped me pick out and understand all of the available options (panels, inverters, etc). Took about 6 months from when I first sat down with Lawson to final installation. Most of that delay was me. Once we got the project started, it was just under three months from signing to installation. Some of the steps were pretty slow. It took almost a month to get someone out to survey my house. There were also some points during the design and permit phase where I felt like the project got pushed to the back burner. More than a few times Ive had to inquire the status and get stuff moving. Again, this was all back in 2014, and the owner replied to my review on another site they were working on improving the process. Im convinced they have and are committed to doing great work. But, everything is done, and Im happy, and Id recommend Solarponics to anyone over another company (including those big national ones).I had the pleasure of working with them again in 2018 and 2019 to install a Tesla Powerwall. After going through the design process with two other solar companies, we opted to go with Solarponics. Several reasons were determining factors to use this company. Solarponics bid was approximately 9k cheaper than the company you see in the large membership store. Solarponics also had live customer care whether it was via the telephone or in person unlike the big named electric car/battery company. Solarponics was the only company that could accommodate our requested system size without additional costs, solely utilizing our southern facing roof. The other two needed to use a partial of the northern facing roof which was unacceptable for us. We were told by the first two companies that our attic was too small for a technician to work in and the conduits for the system would run over the peak of the roof to the inverter and electric panel. Solarponics said it was no problem and made it happen. Aesthetically, it came out looking great. Having already taken the time for the other companies to provide a design, we were anxious to get this project rolling. We signed the contract on 6/7/21 we were given an approximate completion date of 9/29/21. It was explained to us that the city gets involved for the permitting. Atascadero was awesome and were at our home two days after the installation was completed. Also, the utility company has 30 business days to approve the inter-connection after receiving approval from the city. Again, in two days we had received an email with permission to turn on our system. That was a much shorter wait than anticipated as we were live and collecting energy on 08/13/21.From the first call and speaking with Aadi and his visit to our home with Ron, the entire installation team and Shane for his visit we couldnt be happier. In two and half years of having our solar panels and Tesla walls installed the inverter has had to be replaced twice. The second time it took over a month for the company to contact us and set up a time to come and reinstall the inverter. On top of it they can never be on time or give notice that they will be late.The response from the owner is incorrect information. They were to be at our residence 12-2. They arrived at 3, with no phone call of the late arrival at all. This was also noted from a phone call we made to the service department which she stated we are to be notified if the tech was going to be late. Upon arrival, they had no idea they were also cleaning the solar panels, a service that we pay for as a biannual service, until they actually looked at the paperwork. After finishing the installation of the replacement they made note that the previous tech left cardboard on the vent of the inverter which they are not suppose to do. This could have led to the inverter to go out, per the tech. So this was a mistake on the companies part that has not cost us another $600.00 electric bill due to their mistakes and faulty equipment. Another addition the two Tesla batteries were not reconnected and turned on prior to them leavening. I had to go out and turn this function on because of their lack of dedication to their said service.If you note the other reviews they were notified of the inverter being out and within 24 hours they had it replaced. Why is this service not provided to all customers? Why do the inverters we have continually go out? All questions that cannot be answered or the finger gets pointed. After paying cash for an expensive system, we would like the service we paid for and promised.

Ryan and crew are the most knowledgeable on the Central Coast when it comes to radiant heat systems. They are easy to work with. I really appreciated the fact that he new we had received other estimates from other solar companies and he did not ask us what the prices we had received, he just said he would send us a quote by that evening so we could compare the prices. Greetings we have been struggling with our radiant floor system designed by Wirsbo for a couple of years unable to get the system to deliver enough hot water to the four stations. Ryan was able to diagnose two potential problems without even being at the property. We inspected the system and found the two problem areas and confirmedhe was correct. We instituted corrective measures and the floor begin to heat immediately. I learned the history of a light bulb at a Chamber breakfast and I was impressed by the efficiency of LED lights. I learned, there is less strain on the eyes when looking at a computer screen and rebates are offered by PG&G for making the switch from florescent to LED, making it a Win Win! I shared the info with our executive team and they made the decision to have Solarponics update the lighting in our entire office. It is noticeably brighter than our old florescent lighting, which is nice, and many of us have noticed less strain on our eyes while looking at the computer.
