After searching online and talking with a couple people. Solano Mortgage was recommended by a realtor my inlaws used. I emailed Jim Porter and got a fast response back. They were very accommodating with times to meet, my schedule isnt the easiest to work with. His daughter Lisa Porter was super helpful with guiding me and answering all my questions. Jim was able to work a couple different loan options that I could compare. BUT, Sara was our shining star. Sara lined out exactly what we needed, answered our text and calls, no matter the time. Sara explained everything in a way that didnt feel overwhelming and got us in our new home in a sooner than expected time. The team at Solano Mortgage Company is top of their class for a reason. Would absolutely recommend them for your Mortgage loan needs.

Any hesitation we had about qualifying to buy a house or being nervous about our situation immediately went away the moment we walked into Solano Mortgage. The team is so welcoming and so friendly and so dedicated! They make you feel like family from the moment they greet you. Working with Solano Mortgage was an easy, fast, and pleasant experience. From the introductory and data-gathering Zoom call with Lisa Porter, to the question-and-answer Zoom call with Jim Porter, to the educational conversations with Sara Blanton, everything felt pretty smooth from start to finish. The team was always very friendly and willing to accommodate us even later in the day after my wife and I had both gotten off work. We felt so unknowledgeable and uncertain about most aspects of the homebuying process, but Solano Mortgage consistently exuded confidence and understanding; they proved more than willing to explain and re-explain things to us, and they helped us become more confident in our ability to find and afford a home. It was also comforting that everyone on the team was down-to-earth. There was not a hint of pretentiousness or a sense that they were looking down on us in any way. From the very beginning, it felt like they were working alongside us to reach mutual goals. Our realtor even said they they were pretty much paying out of pocket to get us a competitive interest rate. My wife and I believe that Solano Mortgage really went above and beyond to help us!There were a couple of issues along the way, but that was on the side of Rocket Mortgage, for whom Solano Mortgage was acting as a kind of broker or middleman. Our realtor had set several deadlines for the removal of contingencies, and a couple of them were missed by one day because of delays by Rocket Mortgage. This is no reflection on Solano Mortgage, but it did add a bit of extra anxiety along the way.We love Solano Mortgage and are so happy that we decided to work with them and not anyone else. When it is time to refinance, I am confident that we will go directly to them for assistance!

Sara Blanton and the team at Solano Mortgage were excellent to work with. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We got pre-approved over the phone before going to an open-house on 8/13/23 and received the keys to our new house today (8/31/23). Sara made sacrifices of her time outside of business hours to help us get the best loan possible in todays difficult and scary market. We are still amazed that we went to an open house as looky-loos and we are now owners of that home less than three weeks from the day we walked through. I did a refi of my home recently and primarily worked with Sara at Solano Mortgage. She was very energetic and professional and I couldnt be happier with the way my loan experience went. Sara kept me well informed on the status of the loan during the whole progress. There were some delays but this was due to the numerous refis being done because of the low loan interest rates and the Underwriter I think was completely overwhelmed with loan applications. I would highly recommend Sara and Solano Mortgage for anyone needing a new mortgage or doing a refi.

Disclaimer - I did not get a loan with Solano Mortgage. This review is regarding the personnel and integrity of the team.I reached out to the team at Solano mortgage seeking a fairly unique loan/buying situation. They were very gracious with their customer service and being up front with their information. Upon breaking down my buying situation, they went and shopped my situation around FOR ME to assess how competitive they would be for my mortgage. They ended up redirecting me to another lender because they were capable of offering me a better rate, etc. I ended up closing on my home with the other lender.This just goes to show the level of integrity this business is being run with. This all happened during the peak of COVID, when Im sure business was slower. Any typical company would not have went out of their way to connect you with another lender in this situation.I look forward to my next buying experience because I will most definitely be coming back to Solano mortgage! My wife and I are very lucky to have been contacted by Jacob Howard of Solano Mortgage a year after I originally contacted him and then almost gave up on refinancing our house. Most businesses don’t know how important it is to adjust to the clients schedule during this pandemic.Lisa and Sarah took a lot of time to explain things and even answers my calls in the evenings.I had a complex family trust buy out with a lot of moving parts and they handled it like it was their own property. Since submitting my documents I have called and emailed and never heard back from him or anyone with this company.
