Not really that fun and EXTREMELY expensive, parking $15, adult $10, kid $8 and then when youre inside you have to BUY TICKETS for the rides or $35 for an unlimited wristband...theres only 11 janky rides in the whole fair and many of them were down while we were there. I saw workers taking pieces from one ride and attaching it to another...seemed unsafe. Taking 3 kids here really drained my fun money for the month. Food wasnt good. Only things I enjoyed were the live animals and live music....but I wont be going back ever. Theres way better county fairs.

6-14-2024 this yr its better and about double in size. More rides and food and items to pick from.2023It was sweet and small. Hardly anyone there today during the afternoon. Theres more rides for smaller children than adults. Plenty of foods to pick from. For me the best part was the farm animals baby zoo petting. And the Solano County SWAT vehicle on display.I understand that they want to discontinue our fair and unfortunately I can understand why, at least today hardly anyone was there and the vendors are very few.What happened? Vallejo has grown, Solano County has grown and our fair is getting smaller.If more people showed up to support our fair it would be a lot better. Right now theres no lines for anything.In the 60s and 70s it was a lot larger and a lot more to do.

Fun place for the family. The food is good and fairly inexpensive. Good music to relax to. Safe environment nice police presence. Really inexpensive. Even though the size of the fair has shrunk it still offers good fun for the family. Nice place to take kids to expose them to farm animals.

A common venue for Dog Shows where you can see and pet 200+ dog breeds without much walking. Usually very well organized, parking $0-$10 with free entrance. Mix of shade and sun, restrooms, taco truck(s) and a Sheriffs substation on the grounds. A great place to spend half a day for the whole famy.

Circus 🎪 was pretty weak. Waaay overpriced, tix for adult $63, what a waste of money. Glad the little ones enjoyed it though, they have no concept of the money spent! Never doing this one again 😒

This experience is for multiple visits to this place. I have win here for car shows and other events. My most recent visit was for the cove vaccine. The staff was generally organised and I did feel relatively safe. Overall this is a good environment and plenty of parking. Make sure you bring extra clothes if you have to sit as it may get chilly inside tents.

Great experience here, great packing spaces, wonderful food vendors and they animals were so cool to look at! And one lady let me pet her pig! I cried when I pet the pig lol (there my favorite animal 😄😄😄) and my fiance one me a stuffed giraffe that kinda looks like an obese giraffe but I love it! Sorry I dont have any other pictures Im kinda selfish when it comes to pictures lol

This place is horrible towards its paying customers! They hire un-trained personnel to enforce inconsistent rules and at times they themselves either break Californian laws! They charge enormous entry parking fees, and make no apologies for endangering paying customers safety (& those around them) by unlawfully placing large stickers on vehicles they selectively chose to determine which customers violated their interpretation of their parking rules, while choosing to turn blind-eyes arbitrarily! They become rude, and purposely attempt to shame their paying customers, many of whom are the Handicap! I am currently writing an open letter to all government agencies and private organizations who are associated with this badly managed and operated facilities!Note how they allow non-Handicapped placard vehicles (& dog kennels!) To occupy Handicapped parking stalls, forcing many Handicap customers to park elsewhere!Many of these people whom are enforcing these rules and Californian laws are untrained, without proper uniforms or identity whom they are or gor whom they work!Unsurprisingly, this is another example of how we pay high fees and not only get the short-end of the stick, but also get whipped with it - especially if you try to complain!

Was there for the Chinese Lantern Festival and it was amazing. They had a beautiful set up for the acrobats, food and the lights. The kept it together but not bunched on top of each other. It was interactive and fun. The kids area with the dinosaurs was super fun for my nephew!

Were here for the 5K Inflatable Fun Run. Not as nice as the picture, but plenty to do for kids (in my opinion) 5 to 12 years old if youre not doing the Fun Run.Ill update this after the grandkids do their first run. At this point I do reccomend bringing out the family.

The Solano County Fairgrounds happens to be a location where many come to experience and participate in common interests. This sites events come as simple as the fair to local and world wide events including where the Sir Francis Drake Kennel Club hosts the grounds where I entered to show my Giant Schnauzer in AKC Conformation.The Fairgrounds are easy to reach shortly after exiting the freeway. Signs to find parking are simple and easy to follow.There is usually more than one event going on and all have assigned parking lots and locations.Showing against your own breed, 7 groups including your own to earn points towards a championship title is exciting, with or without experience.Vallejo is also the stop to visit the Six Flags amusement park!

The Solano Fairgrounds is located near an accessible on/off ramps from Hwy 37 or Hwy 80 in Vallejo, CA. They dont have loading docks so be prepared to forklift trucked-in material. Abundant parking, fast food within a short drive.

Entry fees are reasonable.... However, games are $10 per person, rides are $6-10 per person. Only a handful of game stalls, a handful of rides, a handful of food vendors. Food excessively overpriced. Only one exhibit hall open..... Very disappointed. Not worth the money spent to go.

Went here for my first of 2 covid-19 vaccines. I was very impressed with there set up. From the time I parked the car and had received my shot was less than 10 minutes. I had to stay an extra 30 minutes for observation because of my medical issues.But the amount of time it took to receive my vaccine and the easy to fallow directions and all those working the vaccine clinic from those giving the vaccine to all those who just volunteer to help out are very well informed, as I said.I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HOW WELL IT ALL WENT!THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WORK WHO WORKED THE VACCINE CLINIC 😎YOU ALL MADE IT SO EASY! AND STRESS FREEALL YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Went to the Chinese lantern festival 2019. Really enjoyed the lights, music and performances. My partner bought tickets online to avoid any long lines. We went as soon as the sunset on the second day following opening day and it wasnt full at all. I do however wish there was more food options, perferably cultural food. They had your basic carnival rides and games, a little maze and an indoor section. Bathrooms inside the building. Overall had fun!

Well we went to see the artist the problem started with a sound system and we though it would get better. It was a lot of feed back from the mikes, you could not hear people sing.the audience was not enjoying the performance.we got their and all we saw was one group . NOBODY WAS ON TIME WE LISTEN TO SOUND CHECKS.NO ORGIINZATION.

We go to this place for the dog shows. Its a good venue for that, but it would be nice if they had a few more restrooms. More shady space would also be nice but I realize that is not easily solved. For dog shows we only need to pay for parking and not admission.

Sad, very sad. Overpriced food vendors (total of 4 food trucks) and not a single Asian cuisine offered. Parking is an additional $8.00 which isnt mentioned in your purchase of the ticket. The SOUND system was WACK no PROPER MC. The group SLAVE came on at 6:15? After doing a 30min sound check and the acoustics was STILL terrible.Heard that Klimaxx had 2 members less..and Lakeside wasnt coming on until a hr later if they EVER showed up? I had been TORTURED ENOUGH😐I really should be refunded for EVERYTHING. I was truly HOODWINKED on this event $51.01🤔 down the drain. Once most vendors heard that winter wonderland was gong to be cancelled this year, most probably thought it may be a good time to spend with there families. This year Vallejo is offering there version which is called The Lantern Festival. Fun for all ages with light displays, rides for various heights, and an amazing show of balancing acrobatics.

Came here to see the Lantern festival. It wasnt that exciting. The food vender was running out of food, water, etc.. I say vender cause they only had one which was disappointing. They didnt have different snack vender, they didnt have games, rides, no releasing of lanterns. The only thing that was good was the live show. Although I wish they could have continued with more of the show instead of wait another min to do another one. We left after the show. We wont be going to any Lantern festival thats for sure. Such a disappointment. The light were pretty..

This place is a place of reflection to me. My father taught me to ride a motorcycle on this property when I was eleven years old. My family attended the fair yearly since my childhood. My father won many black and white photography awards there through the years back in the day. Max Baer, boxing champ, held me up when I was one year old with one hand saying, This kids gonna be a champ someday! And I got to see Geronimo and his wife there on horseback in full Native American garb. This all happened in my childhood. I am now sixty-four years old! I volunteer five nights a week to guard the current Chinese Lantern Festival during closed hours.

This years fair was the worst Fair ever, it looked more like a little tiny Carnival then a big County Fair. The Alameda County Fair definitely is 10 times better then the Solano County Fair.
