I have hesitated to leave a review about Social Ordeals for two years. I dont agree with trashing people publicly and I tried to handle this with the company through many emails back and forth. I finally gave up. But, earlier today, I was leading a webinar about growing your Facebook business and someone asked me if I would recommend Social Ordeals. My answer is a very strong no.I tried to work with Social Ordeals for over a year. Mistake after mistake was made on their end. And there was always an insinuation in the communications with Social Ordeals that this was my fault, not theirs. In the very end, they didnt respond to me at all - even though my emails were always cordial and my feedback was always even-keeled, kind even.When I would give feedback about how unhappy I was, Social Ordeals downplayed the problems, said there were minor issues - from their end - but assured me that they remedied them swiftly (they hadnt). Then they questioned me for not letting them know about problems more quickly (I informed them about so many problems with their posts that I felt like I was a broken record).In short, the misspelled words and grammatical errors in the Facebook posts that Social Ordeals did for me were so egregious, it was like a Kindergartner was making the posts. Also, Social Ordeals couldnt seem to come up with titles or headlines that made any sense. I would give them a 60-second video about the lymphatic system (I work in natural health) and let them know that it was about moving lymphatic fluid in the body. The headline they came up with and POSTED PUBLICLY was, How to expel twins from the body. What? Where did twins come from? I was mortified and embarrassed.Social Ordeals made memes with font so small that it couldnt be read in a Facebook post. Several times.There were no keywords in the text that Social Ordeals created and I had to constantly go in and optimize the text myself. Not only that, but the text was rudimentary. Example: I had a video about hip and back health and Social Ordeals named it Move that Back! The video wasnt really about moving the back so it was very strange.What was really bothersome was this: When I gave feedback to Social Ordeals, I received responses that were defensive and blunt. But, when they sent me emails about doing more advertising, upgrading my account with them, and giving them more money, those emails were always worded eloquently with lots of good vibes and positive speak.I see a lot of great 5-star reviews from people who have used Social Ordeals and I am happy for those people. For me, it didnt work out - after I was given the original sales pitch (which was very skilled and motivating), it went downhill from there. I lost one year of hard-earned money...a mistake that I hope no one else has to contend with.I have used several companies through the years for social media. Social Ordeals is the only one where I felt really bamboozled.

I went to Social Ordeals because I had been trying for a couple years to get a website built. I was put in touch with Katrina who was my account manager. She asked me what I was looking for on my site. I really didn’t know what I was doing. I gave her info to put on the site. She connected with her developer who put together a site that I was happy with. The entire process took very little input from me and I got a great finished product. In addition, a past developer had messed with my mail settings so I wasn’t getting my mail in the correct place. Now everything is fixed and I have Katrina Hull and her developer Roderick to thank.

Terrible Social Marketing Campaign Management and accountability under the cloak of Telus.Google Ads: $5K+ in Google spend their portal but nothing matches the traffic over the same six months with the searched keywords or phrases. I see three ad campaigns which appear to be duplicates but no way to go into the guts of the campaign to see its effectiveness as thats their control. From my own Google Ad account there is nothing, which, given the poor quality of traffic sent, they should have used my properly targeting, demographically relevant, audiences. Their ad campaigns returned mostly females between the ages of 18-24 - Slixers LEAST profitable demographics. I could go on about how poorly targeted these ads were; its stunning.So you will be left with a massive comparative data void.Accounting Portal(s): The other glaring discrepancy is the accounts and the various reporting portals. They have added up a bunch of invoices that were churned out monthly by snail mail with zero oversight, accountability, verification. running totals, digital access, links to my main Telus business page MyTelus, their provided portal or their Google Ad portal.The Invoices: The only way to correspond with accounting is a phone number listed on each identical invoice (barring invoice numbers), Id told them to stop everything but the Social Pro Program and yet invoice remained identical. Accounting never sent reminders, totals, how to pay, pay links or anything.Social Ordeals: Snail mail with a phone number; its that simple! Six months later: You owe us $14.5K thank you very much!. Thats how Telus Digital invoices and conducts their client accounts? 1930s tech?Portal by Vendasta Invoices: You will note that the large $ Invoices symbol on the provided portal has nothing in there, it is empty which considering they are asking for $14.5K speaks volumes to this situation. Perhaps that would have been a good place to put the invoices, with an email notification each time, just a thought.Portal Orders: **What do I have from them to help solve this riddle? Four on-line Order Numbers and Details matching the contract services and amounts for these orders from the Telus portal. They said these are templates and the amounts showing are a mistake. Ha!
