My dad had a real bad experience. My mom renewed her membership, my dad went with the confidence that he would be able to wash her car. He was having issues trying to scan new bar code. He spoke to one employee at the window, she couldnt help; she called supervisor Kurtis and he was asking him to pay again. If he had a bar code on printed receipt, was because my mom paid. Then a very rude person by the name of Chris came to the customer service window and told my Dad, dont you understand that you have to pay. My dad was getting frustrated knowing my mom had paid and he was not getting the help. We contacted corporate to fix issue. This employee needs some training on customer service.

The worst experience of my life I spent four hours because my car fell into a hole inside the car wash the staff had no idea what to do they asked me to solve the problem and I called my insurance and a tow truck because they didnt they could do it I did it the tow truck that I called arrived and they did not want to pay what the tow truck charged until they decided to call a tow truck after three hours the manager never showed up at the place I hope they never take their car to be washed there

This place is way too small not to time people. You have people vacuuming their car for 45 minutes while the line is going into the street. Employees need to tell customers they ran out of time and its time to go. Instead of just standing around watching the line get longer and longer

These guys always have problems there machines are never working and the employees are clueless they washed my car and didnt even rinse the soap off and now Im sitting here trying to run my car through again because it didnt wash properly the first time and I got chemicals and soap drying on my brand new $40000 car I just bought last week for $35 membership a month I expect much better quality then this garbage 🗑

This is the second time Ive gone there, and the darn vacuums are weak. I have pets, and when i try vacuuming the hair off the upholstery, the suction is hardly enough to pick up anything. I even brought a vacuum attachment from home to help but no luck. The pricing is a little higher than at LUV

Ive been a monthly member for 3 years, BUT... at this location I always wait too long (out in the street with traffic) over 5 minutes, and too often the wash equipment is not working right. Today there was only partial, pitiful spray of detergent and none of the hanging cloths wiped the drivers side of my car. Rarely any open stalls to wipe/vacuum. Also (no fault of the business, I suppose), the cars in line! Inconsiderate drivers asleep at the wheel/playing their phones, so that theres huge gaps in the flow into the place. (Maybe because they feel no ones watching them.) I always consider going to another site before going to the San Ysidro one. The other SJ locations seem to accommodate their popularity with good equipment maintenance & line control.

Quick, easy and you get to detail your ride. $13 per wash and theres no waiting once you pay your fee. You stay in your vehicle through the process and when finished, drive to a stall where there are vacuums on each side to clean out your interior. Clean towels (not paper) are provided for wiping down your glass and wet areas. You can be out in 10 minutes depending on how meticulous you are. Tipping not required, you do your own work!!

Their equipment at this location did THIS to my car. They can say it didnt, but it did. I have the dash camera footage from when it happened. But I saw how they treated others with similar isssues, and with it being an almost 10 year old car, I figured my time was worth more than fighting with these people over this. But dont go there if you value your vehicle.

I had a terrible experience. After going through the wash I went to dry and vacuum and saw the sides of the car were still dirty, so I asked to go through again. On the second pass I noticed that none of the side brushes were working and the car was still dirty. I reported this to the attendant, who reported it to her boss. They kept sending cars through and didnt offer me any compensation.This location was recently closed for repairs/maintenance and reopened with higher prices!

Been coming to this car wash for the past few years to be exact since 2020. over the years the car wash is falling apart. The vacuums rarely work, they removed the other side now it’s a limited area for the vacuum. The wash is broken and sometimes have to wait for over 10 mins for the staff to fix it.. the staff always great except the upkeep of the car wash needs to be improved.

This branch used to be so great, hardly any waiting time.I don’t know if they changed management but in the last 6 months there are loooooong waiting periods. It seems like the washing machine continuously stopping all the time and management is just sitting there without doing anything.I’ve been coming to this location for the last three years and it’s never been like that lately I have been having to go out to Bonita Road branch.I hope everything works for the best

The help we received from Joe was beyond my expectations! He fixed a problem for me that I went to another location to have fixed twice and the problem still existed. Im very appreciative of the level of service Joe provided to me and my family. He left such a good impression on us that we will now start visiting THIS LOCATION ONLY!

Soapy Joes in San Ysidro is an enjoyable place to get the car washed. I spent about an hour, vacuuming, cleaning windows and white leather. Lots of fresh towels to use and a vacuum that sucks. Nice place.

So my recommendation for this facility is,work on a better progress on this machines Im not getting the proper wash just to start, sometimes I am getting a different wash than the one that Im paying for the monthly premium,also the vacuums are always not running good, the owner should considr to invest a little more on buying a bigger pressure air machine, comparing to all other locations in San Diego county this is one of the worst but it can become the best, the best thing about this car wash is the employees, theyre always smiling great service good people.

This is really the go to car wash!! It washed my car really good, but more than anything I rarely had to dry it myself, the vacuum has lots of pressure unlike other I gone to.

Have been a member for over a year now. Workers are always friendly and open to answering questions. Came early around 7:30 am and because recently i changed my windshield i didn’t have my sticker but Desabian one of the workers was very kind and helped me print a new sticker! very patient and quick to help me out. If you have any questions or concerns ask for desabian who will make sure to provide you with great customer service and the best attitude even if it’s super early in the morning! Thank you desabian.

Perhaps one of the worst soapy joes locations I visit. Long lines, dangerously into a fairly busy street. Line takes longer than most. Many vacuum and towel stations are either closed or missing vacuums.

This place has great staff. Every time I come here Im greeted with a big smile and great customer service. Specifically Hassan and Curtis were super friendly and attentive which made my experience here super nice.Update: Joe is amazing too, the staff in san ysidro is really the best.
