This is the most convenient and efficient place to submit to your biennial government mandated emissions test. Its probably the least annoying option for complying with the governments requirement. Samson is very nice, friendly, and efficient. He runs it basically the same way Ty did, so it remains very convenient.

Great shop! I had time restrictions; the owner, Samson was able to provide a same day appointment and made sure to my car done so I’d have plenty of time together to my next appointment. Yay!

Samsun was kind, considerate and cheerful from the appointment phone call to testing our motorhome. He answered all my questions professionally and his service was top shelf. Samsun got us in the same day and is one of a very few shops locally that tests motorhomes. It was a pleasure! The shop is also known as Commerce Way Smog and Service.

Update: New Owners Samsun and Brie are equally professional, very knowledgeable and most certainly honest regarding your vehicle. But on a personal note, the new owners are terrific folks. Very friendly and honest. BEST expieriance ever at a smog shop. He let me know what i needed to fix in order to pass smog legally. Without charging me an arm and a leg for it. Im 49 years old been smoging my vehicals in caliifornia all my life and i recomend this smog shop to everyone in and around this area to go here.. awesome place!!..

Ty is a stand up guy. He spent an exhausted amount of time today trying to smog my 85 Dodge Truck and couldnt finish so he didnt even charge me for the 45 minutes. I felt bad because these old trucks are not easy to smog! Id recommend him to anyone looking for good service and good principles they run by.

This place came highly recommended when I first moved to this area in 2013. I have now gotten my cars smogged there ever since. They are friendly, honest and I’ve never been disappointed. I have observed them with other customers who were having problems with passing smog and was impressed at how honest and helpful they were.

Came in today for a smog, only needed to to give 30 minute notice over the phone. Technician, Ty, was very knowledgeable and helpful when I forgot my registration notice and took care of me. Not only did I receive good customer service, I noticed how he treated others who drove in to ask about getting a smog or other service done and he was very personable and professional. Will definitely recommend and return.

Wasnt busy at all but I had a $20 internet coupon and the gentleman helping me only gave me $10 off. I was given another $10 discount from a federal. I should had $30 total taken off my $98 smog check/certificate but was only given $20. I was under the impression he was not happy with me finding the coupon. But very efficiant

NEW HOURS. Monday - Thursday from 7am - 5pm!!!!Ty and his employees are great. I would recommend this smog shop to any and everyone. Much more professional and trustworthy vs a few other smog stations in the Placerville area.I went a few Saturdays ago and the place was closed. On Monday I called and luckily Ty picked up. Note their new service days and hours!!!This was my second time at Commerce Smog. I called and Ty got me in within the hour. You can drop in but call first as theyll give you a better time to swing by.

Just realized I needed a smog check done soon and called last minute. Smog Check was very specific on what openings they had for today and confirmed that I was going to show up. I sent my wife who showed up a couple minutes early. She relayed to me that they got her in right away and the waiting area was comfortable and clean. Very friendly service too, were her words.
