Easy and simple to get an appointment online. Polite and professional front office. Back office ataff polite, professional and efficient. My dentist appoligized for the short delay. He was personable, cuteeous and professional. Explained procedure. Answered all questions to my understanding. Check on me during the procedure to make sure I was okay. Best experience. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family

My experience at Smiles West is amazing all the ladies in the front are so nice and helpful and i’m sorry i’m not good with names but the Doctors and assistants that have done work on my teeth are very sweet and nonjudgmental and i never feel any pain, my teeth have been looking so healthy ever since i started coming here. Dentist Dr.Tran is super nice ! Very professional! Does great work on my teeth & gives me exactly what I’m looking for ! He’s very friendly & helpful & so is the rest of their staff ! I Definitely recommend ! Dr. Tran makes me feel comfortable & pays attention to all my concerns with no problem & is very patient ! He definitely gives the best service possible ! I went because my wisdom teeth was hurting. I had my appointment at 11 and they took me in almost 12:30. I told them what i went for and they were only talk to me about doing a cleanse that I had to pay $4000. They never mentioned my wisdom teeth. I left because i said no to the cleanse. I call back to see when were they able to schedule me for my wisdom teeth and so far tbey havent call me . My visit was in november and its February 2024.. worst service eve. Do not recommend this place.

I’d like to thank Dr Tran for the best dental service I’ve received. I’m very nervous with dental work but Dr Tran made me feel so comfortable.. I also want to thank Kenia, she’s such a great person. She was very empathetic towards my needs and had all appointments lined up for me explained the process gave me a time frame of how long process might take and also very knowledgeable.. I will be referring my family and friends to this practice.

Ive been a patient for 13 years now, I love this place, I would definitely recommend this office to anyone. Many members of my family come to the office for check ups annually. Today Adrian the hygienist was able to help me with my gum care, I got a deep cleaning with laser and the result where great.

My personal experience with the Smiles West Dental team of professional hygienest, the office personnel and extended staff members are to say the least; courteous they put their patients needs and well being above anything else. As for myself I have no words, that would nor could they express the depths of how much the Smiles West team took excellent care of all my dental needs. I have no complaints nor any negative concerns, regarding my dental care. If five stars is the highest I can give, for more than just excellent when I want them to excel even higher. Then let it be so, five for them 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. And five more from me to them 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. So, then let it be 10 if you want more evidence of how I feel about the great work they did for me (see picture upload). If I could leave a 0 I would. This office didnt do the x-rays needed to submit for my root canal and then never submitted the information to my insurance TWICE. When I called to let them know Ive been in pain, trying to keep the swelling of my gums down because of their negligence all the staff could focus on was I sounded too aggressive for them to help me. They hung up on me... after three months of having them point fingers at their billing, the doctor and whatever else excuse, they hung up on me. I have to go in for another round of x rays. This isnt a cavity or a cleaning, this is literal surgery on my tooth, zero compassion.Update: Raised my 1 star to 4 stars. The manager reached out to me after leaving my initial review. I went in, did my x rays and sat down with her and explained what happened. She assured me that she would speak to said staff that so rudely handled my situation and was going to personally take care of it. She did, Kenia absolutely took care of me and handled all my paperwork and was scheduled for my root canal within the week. The doctor was skilled, I have no pain. The technicians were professional and timely. The rest of the office staff were transparent about next steps when scheduling for my crown. Its unfortunate that my experience with the front office staff marred the excellent service of the medical professionals who work there. However the work done on my tooth was 5 stars.

The dental assistants were very kind and welcoming. Initially went for a referral for my child. I was pleased they considered the children because the waiting room had a play area and a carpet as well! The doctor paid attention to detail, explained the procedures and explained the time length. Overall great 1st time experience.

I had a fantastic experience at Smiles West! I was in pain and called for an appointment, and they were able to see me on the same day. I am so happy to finally go to a dentist that did not have a very long wait time. Have expert level Dental skills. You know how most dental places you face is swollen and you hurt like crazy, at Smile west after my procedure I was able to speak normal and eat. So I went to western dental & had the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE EVER they gave me such a hard time. So I finally decided to switch dentist office & THANK GOD I ran across this place since DAY1 the staff been nothing but sweet & nice& welcoming. the doctor is the best in town I promise you💯 Im usually always on guard & on edge but this place made me very VERY comfortable each visit they walk me through every procedure there gonna do.. dr tran is very gentle, patient, fast& sweet!! I’ve never had a great experience with a dentist until I met this team. Front desk 5/5. DA’s & Drs 10/10. Warm welcomes, friendly staff, i have a small mouth and dentist always get mad i can’t fully open during X-rays and i always end up hurt but they’re so careful with me without me having to ask for that care, their attentive & informative! they’re HONEST.. that’s the #1 important detail for me. I loved it here. HONESTY- they weren’t selling me plans, extra services, pressuring me to make payments now because “insurance won’t cover it” like every other single dental office- no, they explained throughly all my options… If I had the money I’d pay them and not wait for insurance- take my money please let’s get services started please. Today I went in for a cleaning I walked in and was immediately seen, welcomed by name and humbly placed in chair. Throughout the whole cleaningI was very very comfortable I have never felt so comfortable getting dental work done and the quality of the service was immaculate you could tell that lady servicing me was so confident in her work and you felt that she knew what she was doing my mouth can definitely feel the difference from when I 1st walked in. This place is tragic. I got 13 fillings done at this place and I had like 4 people work on them. The last person who did my filling did them incorrectly. My tooth still hurts after a year of getting the filling done with them. Like a whole year of tooth pain and not being able to eat on my left side because of how much it hurts. I went to appointments afterwards to try to fix it but they never really did. Even during my filling appointments i felt super uncomfortable and overall did not have a fun time. I do not recommend this place. Find a whole other place please.

Waited over an hour after my appointment time. Because of this, it was past the time they provide services, so they basically just looked at and cleaned my teeth, to which they charged me $200 (after insurance kicked in). The techs, dentist, and hygienist did a great job though.10/12 UPDATEWent into the office to get a copy of my dental records and discuss my charges. I was told I could not do either because the manager was not there and they have an entirely different team that day. This is after calling on a Saturday when I was told to go on a weekday to talk to the manager. Dealing with this place had been an absolute NIGHTMARE.

Please avoid this office at all cost literally. Visited this office on February 24, 2022. They failed to add my insurance and I was charged almost $900. The office was asked to rerun my invoice and process and adjustment but here we are at the end of May and nothing has been resolved. Currently disputing this charge with my CC company, yet smileswest can reply to them and provide the signed invoice (which I thought was correct and it wasnt! As the insurance wasnt included) but cant reply to me. Office manager Kenia referred me to her GM Natalie who fails to answer calls and never responds to emails. This ordeal has been so draining. Natalie, I would appreciate a call back, for you to rerun my invoice and process the adjustment needed. I need a detailed invoice where it reflects that the full adjustment is $39.20 which was credited on May 20,2022. thx

DO NOT COME HERE! I’m in so much pain right now after visiting them. This was my first time here and I definitely have to go back tomorrow to let them know how much pain they left me in. The dentist was super rough and moved way to fast. Im in tears the pain is so bad. Then I tried to get a cleaning and she seemed like she did not want to do it. Not friendly at all and I told her to stop because she was getting water everywhere and did not seem to care. Im never going back here my pain is 10/10 my experience was a 3/10. Update* I left my number for the supervisor to call me back since she can’t make it to the phone and they have not called me back like they said they would. If that doesn’t tell you they only care about money then I don’t know what will.

I got x-rays done and the doc came in and said we will get it out no problem then he sent his staff to tell me that they are over booked and I had to wait till next month, unless I paid $600 then they could do it that same day which was the total opposite of what the doc said. I took off of work to get my broken wisdom tooth pulled before it started hurting and they wouldnt pull it because I wasnt in pain. I have to wait for authorization and the surgeon who comes 2 x a month. Last time I waited for 3 months for my other wisdom tooth but by that time Im pretty sure I dies twice..thats how bad it was...everyone was super nice tho, I just didnt like the outcome

My appointment was for 10:00 am and I wasn’t seen until 11:40 and was placed in a room to wait for the Doctor. I was told by the doctor that getting a cleaning was all I needed to get cleared for my braces however the front desk worker came and told me I needed fillings plus my cleaning to get cleared. I will never come back to this place because I did feel as though I had to step out of character just for them to pay me attention as they should with any customer. This place is just chaotic and take their sweet time . On a side note when I asked when would I been seen after about 40 minutes of waiting in the lobby I was told that there was only one X-ray room available that they were using for the day. HOWEVER when I finally got called to get my X-ray done there were more than 2 rooms opened with patients in them waiting so I knew at that point I was being lied to. This place needs to get it together. I wouldn’t recommend at all. I came in at 9:50 am and left at 1:00 pm for a cleaning and 2 fillings.

Horrible service and care. They just want to charge your insurance money and dont even use their supplies listed in the bill. They charge you an obligarory fee of more than $700 if you dont cancel your appointment within 24 hours. I was left with a messed up tooth. I went in without any pain and went home with a horrible migraine and sensitivity. Asked for a 6 month check up and general cleaning and they didnt use oral anesthetic to perform a prophy.. Horrible! Im reporting to the BBB and I got the license #, their Drug Enforment Administration and Controlled Substance Registration certificates which had expired when I went in for my visit.

I have been waiting for over eight months for my wisdom teeth extraction. At first I was told that they were going to call me to set up an appointment, but I never received the call. I had been very patient. I reminded them that my wisdom teeth was causing me pain and that they never called me to set up an appoitment. They called me last week and set up an appoitment and I wrote down the details. Today I finally had my appointment at 10 a.m. I walk in and they tell me that I was 45 minutes late?! They gave me the wrong appointment time, but told me that all they can do is place me on the waiting list for more than a month from now! 😔

Update:When in pain you will do anything to take it out however once the pain is gone and you come to your senses, you come to the cold reality. I transfer my insurance over to this dental office and expected to pay less for treatments however that was not the case. Somehow because I had insurance now I had to pay more than what the insurance plan stated. In my case I needed to pay over $1200 for dental treatment on top of what my insurance was covering and all of those charges were due to a code D9910 Application of Desensitizing on all of my teeth which turns out that the insurance does not cover that dental code because is an internal office code meaning that is an office charge. Looking on good all Google, it turns out that Desensitizing it only used for people that have sensitive teeth which Im not one of them. This was also the case for my daughter and my wife so in total we were going to pay over $6000 on top of what my insurance was already covering which was the vast majority of the treatment. This price was not including the price for braces for my daughter, which was another $2300. I did some shopping around and found a dentist that literally laughed at the estimate I got from Smile West and told me that I did not need any of the Desensitizing and additional treatment they claimed we needed. Needless to say, he is now treating my whole family and even I am getting braces for myself.This goes to show that when in pain people will do anything to get rid of it. In case you are wondering yes, I went back to the original invoice when I had my tooth taken out and it turns out that I also overpaid for treatment. Having set all this if you have the extra hundreds of dollar to pay for treatment and dont mind the wait time this is the place to be.

Horrible customer service and rude front desk staff.Update: 12/6/19Horrible and unprofessional. Smiles West Montebello referred me to the location in Lynwood for a consultation for wisdom teeth, I scheduled an appointment and they canceled me the night before my appointment and they offered me a referral to the location in Compton. Compton then canceled my appointment the night beforehand as well and told me they do not do consultations and to go back to the Montebello location when Montebello does not have specialists for this. I have been in pain for over two months now and they just keep sending me back and forth and canceling on me like if I had the flexibility to do so last minute. Definitely steer away from this dentist, I should’ve payed attention to the reviews. All of the good reviews are fake pages like another client mentioned, go ahead and click on their profiles and you’ll see. They also charged me $100 copay for a basic cleaning which my insurance covers 100%. Will be submitting a grievance claim and reporting for fraud with the board.

Literally came in twice. The first time they “cleaned” my teeth and did X-rays.They didn’t floss my teeth very well... and whoever brushed my teeth didn’t brush them very well and kept spilling the brush onto my face.I had one cavity and scheduled another appointment, but one of my fillings was also cracked. But they didn’t say anything so I didn’t worry about it.I got my cavity filled and they deep cleaned my teeth this time.. and got the same cleaning. The brush spilling onto my face and didn’t floss my teeth well.... I’ve done to the dentist since I was a little girl. It was the poorest “deep cleaning” I’d had. Ever.Since then my filling has fallen out.... I felt slightly neglected they didn’t take initiative to mention my filling that was cracked and to get it replaced or how we could take action... because now I have another issue.The dentist at this location was great in this aspect. she made sure when I got my cavity filled that I could bite down properly and felt comfortable. She was very kind. Don’t know why my cracked filling wasn’t brought up......

My mother had an appointment at 12pm. She was seated till 1pm. My mother was very nervous and I was planning to go in with her and I was told not to come in. They’re lucky my mother had made this appointment and payed before hand or else we would have left right after the 45 min waiting time in the lobby. Office was dirty and grungy looking, waited an hour, had toy vending machine that you have to pay for for children in lobby super weird for a dentist office to have. It was really cold had TVs but none were on which would have been nice because I had to wait an hour in the back office. Doctor didn’t numb me enough so when he drilled in my tooth I felt it. Unprofessional service.. they are in it for the money. they dont care about the patients they just make a plan an say you need this done and charge you with out even making sure if you are able to do the procedure. i was back an forth with my procedures . i had to see a gum specialist which is not free an then had to see her again because they didnt make sure to write on my chart what i needed to get checked for. all i got from the gum specialist you need to do this an its going to cost you this much. really?? its an office with different dental doctors you guys can work as a team! the organizing is horrible! i just dislike the office very much. i had to withdraw my self from procedures because it seem like they where playing had me going back an forth and then the lady that takes care of financing says if we return the money to the financing company their is a $200 fee for returns!

Called to make an appointment as a new patient. The receptionist named Angie took the call and couldnt even greet me in a kind matter. Asked if she can make an appointment for me on 3 days and couldnt find any availability. Not a pleasant call. Wanted to treat here since its close to home but with a receptionist like that it make the whole staff look bad. This office is the absolute worse!! First off they booked an appointment almost 4 weeks out. Okay sounds normal since i did request a Saturday. Well we get there 15 min early. I had 3 appointments booked for my kids and I. When i booked it i specified that my kids needed procedures since they were told this on the last visit. After making us wait nearly 4 hrs mind you no breakfast was eaten since there procedures that needed to be done. so they make us wait 4 HOURS!! then we are told by some one who said she was the office manager that we needed to re schedule because they didnt have time to work on my kids no apology. I walked out of the office only to return almost right away to ask for my records only to find them laughing at my kids and I. I have report them to BBB and OSHA as what I saw there was disgusting. Autoclave machine was dirty ( this is what they clean the instruments with. Also back office had patients name everywhere I saw x rays and notes from other patient total HIPPAviolations. I called the corporate office to complain about this and no one seems to care. Well see if the state cares when they stop by. DO NOT BOOK HERE THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND DIRTY. GAVE THEM 1 STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO TO SEND REVIEW BUT SERIOUSLY CAN WE GET A NEGATIVE STAR BUTTON.

I want to give minus 5 stars but sadly thats not possible. Never have I felt the need to rate someone so poorly, nor havd I ever felt so much impotence and anger. This would be a very long novel if I went into details. All Im going to say is that the girls in the office need a lot of customer service skills, specifically Lily, Lety needs to tey to help the customers, as she told me, and not the clinic, as she is. After they didnt get things right and tried to rip me off. If you do decide to go to this place please, please check yout charges and please check your coverage with your insurance or medical. Please get a second opinion too. Dont go in here hoping they will do the right thing and bill you correctly or do the procedures correctly. I would call the number given for complains but I am honestly done talking to them, plus, I dont want to risk calling to be put on hold for more a long time by a very rude receptionist. Time is something I appreciate and value a lot more after my experience with cancer... And time and humaniry is something they dont value, they just want and care about your money.

I went in about 2 years ago to get a root canal and a crown. They did such a horrible job on the crown that now Im having to pay out of pocket to replace the one they did.
