Always a great experience when I visit Smiles Cafe. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Khan for many years. This recent visit I had not been in for 2 years due to lack of insurance and they worked with my schedule when I requested to come in during spring break. I even received a call to come in earlier that day when there was a cancellation. I saw familiar faces when I arrived and was greeted by name even after 2 years of not being there. Genuinely good people work here. I always feel comfortable and that they are all doing honest work, which is hard to come by with dentist offices in my experience. Art is always so kind even when just walking by to say hi while I wait in the lobby. Deanna was amazing as always and it never feels like a forced conversation. Highly recommend Smiles Cafe!

I’m so happy I found this dentist. I feel so taken care of and heard when I go here. I hated the dentist but I hate it so much less when I go here. The doctors are WONDERFUL and so genuine and professional. They go above and beyond. I really appreciate the whole smiles cafe team. Thank you for making me feel safe and for taking care of me!

I had a great first time experience for myself after leaving my previous dentist.My son had been diagnosed with having 10 cavities at our previous dentist. And my first instinct was to get a second opinion. My intuition told me that something didn’t seem right. I was referred to Smiles Cafe Dentistry and they only found 2 cavities in my sons mouth. Both dentists in the office looked at my son and confirmed that he had been grossly misdiagnosed.Luckily due to their training and experience, catching this misdiagnosis saved my son from unnecessary dental interventions that could’ve caused more trauma to his teeth.Thank you

Exceptional Care and Attention to DetailI was in a bit of a bind, needing dental work done before pregnancy, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience at Smiles Cafe Dentistry. Despite squeezing me in last minute, they provided exceptional care. The dentists thoroughness and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire procedure. Be very careful if you choose this dentist. I came in for a consultation and the entire experience was HIPAA violation. Not only did the consultation take place in the WAITING ROOM, the dentist told me another patients FULL NAME and then showed me her xrays, which her name, DOB, and medical information on it. He then went on to explain what was wrong with her teeth and how he fixed it.I was totally alone in the dental office as the dentist and his assistant were in another building (?). If I was a bad person, I could have stolen all the information, all the medical devices, and they wouldnt have realized. They would come back out of breath from the other building, and it all felt very rushed and scrambled, even though I had scheduled this appointment. I was quoted two totally different prices for my desired service, the second was double the initial quote. When I brought it up, the dentist said, oh well just do the lesser cost. What?? What dentist is willing to just eat the cost like that, when it is double the cost?The dentist told me that because I am young, he wont do my implant, he only does it on older people where it doesnt matter if it looks good. WHAT?????If you come here, your medical information is at risk and the quality of service you get is based on your appearance and age. Good luck!

I moved to OC and needed to find a new dentist. Starting from a very friendly and informational call with Art, I started to go to the smiles cafe dentistry. Dr. Khan is always very honest and friendly. All staffs are always attentive and friendly, especially Art. He is always patient with my questions and is willing to provide information I inquire about. Overall a great dentist and I strongly recommend!

I always have anxiety going to the dentist as I always need work done on my teeth, and I hate being judged and having pain. After moving from DC I visited Khan, he was amazing honest and upfront about the situation. This type of experiences builds trust with your dentist. If youre price sensitive this may not be the please but you cant put a price on your health so I highly recommend it especially if you havent seen a dentist for a regular check up. There is only street and paid parking. It costs $2/hour.

I took my 96 year old father to Smiles Cafe Dentistry; I wanted to see if there was anything they could do to fix his dentures. He has other challenges and I was worried about how this would turn out. Much to my relief the entire process from the (very) first call, and through the end of the initial visit was all fantastic.The staff was friendly and courteous and professional. The doctor was amazing and used new technologies to assist in the exam process and to get impressions needed. He was able to get so much of the process completed and was so easy going.I am just grateful they took the time to examine my dad and develop a POA to replace the dentures to improve my dads standard of dental health.

I haven’t been to a dentist since pre shut downs. I had a severely damaged tooth and horrible pain. Every interaction from the front to the doctors was incredibly conscientious, caring, and detailed. They got me in and take care of so quickly! I felt seen, heard, and understood. I was recommended out to an Endo and that doctor was very aligned with the values and care of Smile Cafe. Ultimately my procedure was completed thru Smiles Cafe and it was pain free and reduced my anxiety to zero. I chose Smiles Cafe based on the recommendation of several others. My experience far exceeded any expectation I had and I am so happy to have found a dentist office for ongoing care.

Had my first of many appointments on Friday. I was having an emergency and the Dr. was nice enough to set aside time to see me. I feel this is an extremely honest and very professional office! Everyone was so warm and welcoming! I will be moving my family to this Dentist for all future needs. The Dr. came very highly recommended and definitely did not disappoint!!!

After our dentist retired I found Smiles Cafe Dentistry about a year ago. I have had my teeth cleaned a couple of times and a small cavity filled. The Dr. and the staff were amazing. The were kind and attentive and made the entire experience comfortable. The best thing though, I had discovered an unusual bump on the roof of my mouth and they were able to get me in the day I called to see about making an appointment to have it looked at. Dr. Khan was so good at addressing my concerns and letting me know that I had nothing to worry about. I was really worried when our previous DDS retired after looking after our teeth for 40 years but am grateful now for having found a great place close to me!

Dr. Khans work is absolutely wonderful! He takes his time and makes sure you are comfortable during the treatment. I had sensitivity and inflammation on a tooth and although I already understand the dental lingo, he still took his time to explain the reasons why I needed to change the crown on my tooth. After we completed everything I needed, all of my teeth feel amazing and it makes me want to take care of them that much more.As a dental hygienist, I can say Dr. Khan has the best dental work I have ever seen from a dentist. New to HB and chose Smiles Cafe after seeing all the positive reviews. From the start of the friendly first phone call to checking out after the appointment, it was an overall great experience with a phenomenal staff. Had x-rays completed by Art who was so nice and informative about the process. Deanna was awesome for the cleaning and is so sweet. Dr Khan’s explained my x-rays and spent time discussing them and a treatment plan. My daughter also had a visit at the same time and had someone different for x-rays, saw the other dentist who did her cleaning and had a great experience as well. Smiles Cafe makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience.

Please READ!!I was in the worst pain ever. Went on google to find any dentist i could that was 24 hrs. I swear to you, i was at my lowest point. The pain was outta control. Ears ringing, head pounding, tears streaming. Called their number and transfered me to a Dr at 1am! I was embarrassed to be calling, but didnt know what to do. The Dr was so nice, calm, and said he would see me the next day in the morning....okay okay....i thought...i can hold out. Its already been 6 hrs or so whats another 6,7?? When i arrived the staff was super understanding, kind and helpful. It was their admin day and they really dont see patients, but made ever effort to make me feel safe. Long story short....the Drs, the staff were amazing!! Made every effort to make me pain free. And guess what?!?! They did. The Doctor and staff explained everything to me, what was happening, walked me through all details. The next day i felt like a new person. 1000% pain free, all thanks to these amazing dentists. Have an emergency, need a check up, please take my advice and make sometime to go! I always say going to the dentist or buying a car are the 2 worst things in the world. Deanna, the hygienist, was thorough and helped me understand all of my oral hygiene needs. They are all extremely welcoming, competent, and provide high quality dental work. They really do an excellent job working on teeth, thoroughly explaining any issues, answering all questions, educating their patients, and treatment planning for current and future visits. To start, they were able to squeeze me in for a next morning appointment with Dr. Khan due to the earache and radiating jaw pain I was having (due to my bottom right impacted wisdom tooth still in place). Once I arrived and even though a bit late, they still welcomed me kindly, greeted me, were patient enough to go over insurance information and copays with me at the front desk. The x-ray tech/dentist’s assistant was kind as well, and kept me in good spirits with his friendly jokes despite the pain I was experiencing throughout my visit. In comes Dr. Khan to discuss my wisdom teeth (surgical) extraction with me, completely talked me through what I needed to do, why an oral surgeon (vs him), and answered my myriad of questions. Not once did I feel like he was rushing me or didn’t have anymore time (again, even though mine was a last min appointment).You can tell Dr. Khan is a caring doctor and truly cares for his patients’ recovery and post-surgery success as he gave me specific info on what options I had and what he suggests. Post-office visit, I must have called his office over 5 times the next day regarding his oral surgeon referral he gave me and whether I needed pano x-rays. The doctor told me to come back the next morning (when I could) and said he’d do it free of charge considering my emergency situation. He was very accommodating and took his time answering a couple more questions.Even after that visit, he made time to call me and gave his thoughts on my pano x-rays and kindly gave me advice on my surgery. Dr. Khan ALWAYS took his time with me, went out of his way, and he has the kindest front desk staff. Thank you all! :) I will be back, even though they are out of network for me!

I had at really bad tooth ache and as soon as I called for an appointment I was told to come right in. No waiting at all. It was an amazing job. The doctor worked his magic and eliminated all the pain. Last week I had a major appointment for preparation for a crown placement. This involved lots of drilling and lots of Novocain. Unfortunately I seem to over react to Novocain which causes problems for me during procedures. Even though I had to stop the procedure several times for a break, Dr. Khan and his assistant were both VERY encouraging and patient. I appreciate them so much. Best dental team ever! If you have dental anxiety or concerns, you wont find a more understanding dentist than Dr. Khan!

Beware!! Once I arrived at the clinic the front desk presented what my insurance would cover and my out-of-pocket expenses. I have never had to pay over $300 out of pocket for an annual exam, bitewings, and cleaning. Ive had the same insurance for over 10 years and have used it use it every year for my entire family at different dental clinics. This is clearly a dental practice that has their prices overly priced! Just a little background on my dental experience, Ive worked in the dental field for over 16 years as a hygienist, clinic manager, and worked in dental insurance auditing. I also asked why I was not notified of charges that are outside my copay. They said I was notified a day before my appointment which was not true. They did send a text message to confirm my appointment the day of. So, I give this clinic 1-star for for sending me an appointment reminder, but they get 0-stars for failing to notify me of out-of-pocket expenses, customer service, and dishonesty. I felt the need to write a review so that potential clients are aware of what had happened on 06/28/2023. I will be contacting my insurance company about my experience with this practice.

This is the best dental group Ive ever been to. Both Dr Tahir Khan and Dr Atif Khan were extremely attentive and compassionate in their approach to care. They took care of my immediate needs, and let me know what dental issues I had that would need addressing in the future. I have been going here for over a year. I’ve had cavities filled, mercury taken out and the white filling put in instead, a broken cap replaced, a back molar extracted and in a month my implant for the back molar replaced. I’ve had my teeth whitened, deep cleaning and a consultation each time during my dental service. So grateful to have been referred to Smiles Cafe Dentistry.DR. YAO is amazing. I’ve had pain on my upper right side for the last 5 years and the other dental offices I was going to were not able to figure out the issue. I reached the point where I thought I have to just live with the pain. Apparently, I needed a root canal, better crowns, and A LOT of healing in my gums. Dr. Yao was able to figure out the issues and begin treatment. The excruciating pain I was feeling is now gone and my teeth and gums feel so much healthier. Also, thankful to DR. Went in for a new patient evaluation and they explained I would need to schedule work after they image my teeth etc… They had cool new imaging techniques and I liked that they gave me an estimate of my cost including my insurance before work was completed. Everything was sent to my phone for easy viewing. The doctor spent time showing me the images and explaining everything. He explained the timeline and set up my treatment to be cost effective and so that I’d have an easy recovery (I had to get wisdom teeth out and a few fillings). I switched dentists to Smiles Cafe Dentistry in August, and I have to say that they have such a welcoming and friendly staff. I went in a few months ago when a partial crown fell out, and Dr. Khan gave me options on how he could fix it but was transparent about the costs/changes that would need to be made. He heard my concerns and instead helped me advocate for myself to get the previous dentist to fix it since the glue they used didn’t hold. I also just went in for a cleaning with the dental hygienist, Deanna I think, and she was so friendly and kind! She got me in and out within the short time frame that I had. I noticed a slight discomfort in a tooth and immediately called Smiles Cafe. The receptionist was kind and professional and managed to find an opening two weeks ahead of my original appointment. She recognized I hadnt been in a long time and arranged x-rays, cleaning, and an exam.I received a warm greeting from the receptionist as I walked in the day of my appointment. Dr Khan is the king of dentistry. I had a visit to Dr Ford to do an exam and he diagnosed an extraction of two teeths then implant because of the full tooth decay.I decided to visit Dr Khan for a second opinion. He told me that the so called cavity was a simple discoloration due to a previous root canal treatment. He ended up restoring two teeth with new crowns instead of doing the expensive implant treatment.If you want to preserve your natural teeth then visit Dr. Khan.He is the master of his craft. Dr. Tahir Khan is my dentist right now and he is one of the two.I have been ripped off and lied to by dentists in my 72 years that I have a naturally hostility against them.Not so with Dr.Khan. been talking to him about implants, comparing notes what I heard from other dentists and people with implants.All I can say is that he is a straight forward guy, excellent dentist, no pretenses, straight to the point and here is the kicker..... I cant say enough great things about Smiles Cafe! Ive been going there for about 2 years now and have had multiple cleanings along with a root canal. All of my procedures have gone very well. Dr Khan is so friendly and does great, efficient work which I appreciate because no one wants make more trips to the dentist than are required. The hygienists are equally great. My kids and I used to really dislike going to the dentist; however, we have zero complaints now that we go to Smile Cafe Dentistry.We initially found this dental office when we had a dental emergency for my daughter. Just had my first visit and will definitely return in 6 months. The front office staff made everything about scheduling the appointment super easy and clear. She was really nice on the phone and in-person! The dental hygienist, Deanna, was amazing! She was so personable and educated me on how to take better care of my teeth and gums between cleanings. Going to buy new toothpaste asap, per her suggestion. What also made my visit great was the impressive technology at Smiles. Besides x-rays, they 3D scanned my teeth to check my bite and teeth alignment. Whoa. I had found Smiles Cafe Dentistry after my hygienist who I had been going to see for 17 years left another dentist. Im very happy finding a closer dentist and the staff is truly exceptional.Deanna and Dr.. Khan are bothwonderful and very knowledgeable. When I started going to Smile dentistry Deanna, their dental hygienist, made me feel beyond confident in my smile. She used top tier advanced technology to X-ray my teeth that I have never seen before. She made the process smooth, quick and easy. Also thanks to Deanna taking the time and putting In the effort to getting X-ray’s of my teeth (two ways might I add!) I am now able to use that information in the future which I am able to send to Invisalign if I wish to! Its all so new and exciting which is only part of why I love Smile dentistry. Dr. Khan truly works hard to make all of his patients feel taken care of. He not only discovered all the current problems I had in my teeth, but he also gave me ways to prohibit them from reoccurring. That was something I truly admired because typically dentist like root canals and cavities, any problem honestly, because that way they make more, but Dr. Khan does not make me feel as if Im being robbed! They have such a great affordable price for such a top notch job. So glad I switched to Smile dentistry. Cant wait for more smiles to come:)

Everyone at Smiles Cafe is wonderful, both front desk and back office. I initially went to Dr. Khan when I had a very bad toothache and my regular dentist couldnt see me until 3 days later. Dr. Khan saw me same day, and referred me to get a root canal then fit me with a crown a few weeks later. Even the endodontist he referred me to was wonderful, everyone I saw in the entire process was kind and got things done quickly to minimize the pain I was in. I had such a good experience I have now switched to have all my dental work done here.

Smiles cafe dentistry is the most top rated dentist in Huntington Beach because of great customer service. The whole staff and the dentist is extremely friendly and helpful. My helper was Eric who took great of me. Dr Khan does not push for any treatment. Dr. Khan took great care of me! They were all very welcoming from the minute I walked in the door. I am new to Huntington Beach and am very particular about who works on my teeth but I am 100% satisfied with the work I received and look forward to future visits. I had a root canal and multiple fillings that needed to be done and he took care of all of them without having me experience any discomfort what so ever. Its great having a dentist that I know is going to do good work and be honest and straight forward with everything he is doing. He is an all around great guy and I would definitely recommend him to everyone in Huntington. 10/10 They have wifi too so you can connect to that if you have to wait at all.

I usually get very anxious at the dentist, but I have to say that this was one of the best experiences Ive had with a dentist office. I highly recommend Deanna the hygienist, she does wonderful job cleaning my teeth without pain, and Dr. Khan is also an excellent dentist. I appreciate everything they do and how nice the office is. For the longest time, I dreaded going to the dentist from a previous bad experience. I am one of those people who frequently put off going. After searching for a while online, I came across Smiles Cafe... and I am really glad that I did! I came for a routine teeth cleaning and check-up. All of the staff members were extremely welcoming. Deanna (the hygienist) was so nice and helped me feel less nervous about my check-up. She also was very friendly and gentle with the entire teeth cleaning process. Dr. Khan was also super knowledgeable and kind. I didnt feel uncomfortable with sharing any concerns about my teeth during my check-up.Prices here are pretty standard and reasonable. They worked with my insurance and helped make the transition to a new dental office easy! I also feel that they all genuinely care and want to help their patients. Overall, I had a great experience here!The only negative aspect was the parking and that it is somewhat difficult to find the office. I recommend parking to the lot adjacent to the building and not the lot behind the building to avoid trouble. I made the mistake of parking in the lot behind, and an angry driver blocked me in my spot to the point where it was impossible for me to get out of the lot. However, Dr. Khan truly cared to the point where he got in my car to move my car for me! Thanks again Dr. Khan & all of his staff! I can finally say that Im no longer scared of going to the dentist...

Visited Dr Khans office for a second opinion regarding braces for my children. I needed to make sure that what I had been told by a previous dentist was true and correct. I was able to get my questions answered and felt more at ease once the treatment was explained to me. Sandra was able to schedule me the same day I called! Which was a bonus since my work schedule can be quite hectic. My children also had their teeth cleaned and cavities filled the same day which was a bonus. Didnt have to make a separate appointment. I am so glad I was able to find this office! Truly recommend them.

First meeting with Dr.Khan and his staff was amazing! I took both my boys in and felt completely comfortable. My youngest (11) had to get 3 baby teeth removed. He took his time and answered all my questions. He also made sure my son was numb and wasn’t in any pain during the procedure. AND followed up the morning after just to check in and see how he was feeling!

Dr. Khan is the very best dentist I have experienced since my other Dentist retired . I was so pleasantly surprised with the staff and doctor . I came in on an emergency broken molar . He was so gracious as to take me the very next day . Very Meticulous and gentle . I actually fell asleep 😴. Had a broken tooth and in need of repair quickly found they were open through the epidemic, called and was treated very well They understood my problem and they did all they could to accommodate me.
