We had scheduled an appointment for my 6 & 11yr old with Smile Zone Kids and Teen Dentist In Yuba City last week and after our visit I would like to Thank the staff and dentist for not only the kind and caring services that they provided but also for scheduling my children’s appointments the next day. The office staff is very professional, gentle, and caring with Kids and we had an outstanding experience. We were treated warmly by Yessinia, Johana, Anay, Faith, and Hazel while checking in our kids in the beginning until we left. They also made it enjoyable while my wife was waiting in the wait room for the dentist to perform the cleaning on my children’s teeth while I was with the children and dentist. They give certificates, paper crowns with our children’s names on them, and a toy at the end for the children! 5 Stars and highly recommended!

Loved this place. The dental assistants were so good and patient with both my boys. The doctor was very nice and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. We changed to smile zone from children’s choice dental and I will never go back. Smile zone offered a calm environment and great hands on experience. My 7 year old prefers smile zone now!

This review is not for staff as I have had a great experience with care for my children and will leave a separate review for that.This negative review is for management it hopes that they will be more client friendly. I feel like potential clients should be aware of issues before choosing this office. And I would not recommend it to a new client because of the issues listed below that I have been experiencing for some time. Anytime I call no one answers the phone I will have to call 10+ times at any given time. If I leave a message it takes days to get a return call. It seems they only work through text notifications. I have been lied to about people calling me when no with no missed call or voicemail. I just drove 2 hours and had my daughter’s wire removed from her orthodontist office first to be told the appointment was cancelled due to no reply to an automated text. This is an example that of a very unprofessional back office and poor management which is very frustrating! I’ve worked in the dental field myself and have never experienced this before.

We absolutely loved our experience with taking my son to his first Dentist appointment at smile zone! Everybody was super nice and very welcoming which made coming in there very pleasant from the moment we walked in. My son kept talking about how he had fun at the dentist all day long and that makes me happy! I 100% recommend taking your little ones in there as they make the experience wonderful all the way around.

Every time my i’ve brought ny kids to their appointments it’s been a great experience from the moment we walk into the office to the moment we leave. The staff is friendly, fun & attentive which makes my kids excited to visit the dentist. I would recommend this office to anyone. I have 3 kids ages 8, 5 & 1 and they take us back all together and they get seen in the same room so no need to make different appointments on different days.

We had the best dental experience here for my 4.5 year old daughter and 2.5 year old son. All the employees know how to handle the young kids so well and make them feel so comfortable. My son would not sit still at the last place we went to and at Smile Zone he let them do the whole cleaning without a fuss! Dr Sohail was great with both of my kids and would definitely recommend him and will continue to come here.

My 2 kids love this place. They make going to the dentist a great experience. Everyone is so friendly and patient. I dont usually write reviews, but if your looking for a dentist for your children, Take them here! They always walk out with a balloon and toy. They go BEYOND what I expect. They also dont force children to do anything they are not confortable with (like ex-rays) they just keep trying every visit until they gain the childs trust. If I could rate higher than a 5 star, I would most definitely.

Very friendly, clean and quick to respond. I had Called after my daughters tooth had chipped and didn’t want to return to our old dentist that was only doing X-rays and no cleaning or work and needed to get a referral for every visit (such a hassle). They seen us the same day! They checked our insurance and set up a same day appointment. We didn’t have a wait once we arrived and they were so nice and patient with the kids. Taking time to explain everything they were doing and showing them the tools before they used them. It has been great! We set up appointments for my other kids as well and were seen later that week. Everyone got a teeth cleaning and almost all their mouth work is done :) the kids love going to the dentist now and get balloons and prize every visit.

We have had three visits to Smile Zone. Our first visit for a check up and cleaning was fantastic. I have 2 children that I scheduled for back to back appointments and they took them both at once and did everything alternating the kids and made it so great. Our second and third visits were just for my oldest that needed 2 cavities filled. The staff are all amazing, they kept me updated and my daughter happy. All of our appointments have been on time and the treatments were done quicker than I expected. I cant say enough good things about Smile Zone.

My daughter hasn’t been to any of these dentists in California since we moved back. So when I picked this one I was a little nervous. I work in dental and I’ve seen how people can be with children. I wasn’t sure how my daughter herself was going to do and how they are with children. Our experience in WA and in FL were definitely not the best. From the moment we walked in it was nothing but smiles and pure kindness. From the ladies up front, to the RDA’s in the back, to the Dr. himself.❤️ they were so amazing with my daughter and made her experience there perfect. She already can’t wait to go back. I definitely recommend this place for your babies for sure!

So far, great! Staff is super friendly and informative. Filling out paperwork is a breeze and appointments are really easy to set up online. 2 out of 3 kids have been there and they loved it. My 3rd one (special needs) will be the real test but im sure it will be just fine.

Great first visit for my 17 month old. I was very nervous because she doesn’t let us brush her teeth or examine her mouth without screaming and fighting but this place catered to all her needs and showed me different techniques on how I can take care of her dental hygiene. I liked that the rooms were closed doors so her screaming didn’t affect other patients! Very attentive and nice staff. Appointment was quick and doctor was very professional and helpful.

Growing up the dentist was NOT a pleasant place for myself or my husband so we’ve struggled with finding a place for our kids because we wanted them to have as much of a positive experience as they could. The pandemic made it very difficult to get appointments and even afterwards, the office we went to before was always booked out extremely far into the future so we just hadn’t been able to get our kids in.Our oldest recently started losing her teeth and they were coming in crooked so we knew she needed X-rays and a good teeth cleaning. Our youngest needed his first visit. I found this place through a Yuba City Moms Facebook group recommendation and I liked how cheery it looked plus they had good ratings. I called and got voicemail but received an immediate auto text letting me know I could book online — this was amazing because it took some of the pressure off of me as I was already nervous about making the appointment. The appointment intake Docs were thorough and even asked how each child did with the dentist. This was sooooo reassuring! We also have a unique insurance so when I called to talk to the front desk about it they went above and beyond to verify how it worked and to follow up on the info I had collected for them so that the appointment could go smoothly the day of.The day of one of my personal appointments ran over and we ended up being late for our daughters appointment. I called ahead of time but couldn’t reach anyone but again got an auto text saying I could text the staff which I did. They were able to push both kids back a tad so they could still be seen together — talk about amazing service!The hygienists and the dentist were amazing with both our kids. They encouraged us (my husband and myself) to be in the room with them and that was great because we do a lot of things together as a family and that makes our kids most comfortable. The implemented the feedback I gave them for my kids to talk them through what they were doing and using and they were calm and patient. I was nervous going in but left feeling like this place was an answer to my prayers and they were the right fit for my kids. The fact that they take care of kids throughout their teen years so my kids can keep coming back just makes me super happy.This place didn’t feel like a dentist office; it felt like a family gathering place where they take care of your kids. In a world where so many of us feel like we are missing out on the community experience, this office and its staff provided just that! Highly recommends

Everything looked so clean and organized and the assistants and doctor were very thorough with their step by step explanation as to how the appointment would go. They were very patient with my daughter who didnt have the greatest experiences in the past so in turn, she isnt always the greatest cooperative patient to work with. When we left though, my daughter said she really liked it there and cant wait to go back!

This place is great! So friendly and they make it fun for kids! They also accept Medi-Cal! My daughter is EXCITED every time we go in for a cleaning....she gets a balloon, sticker and toys! She says the staff is so nice and the dentist is fun! She keeps me on my toes about her dental care at home because the staff has been able to instill the importance of dental care in her. I switched my two younger kids here after finding out they will need a lot more work done that the one the previously go to cant provide and would have to refer us out to other places with a wait list as long as a year. The staffs are so friendly and try to works with our schedule. THEY EVEN HAVE SATURDAYS TOO! So I decided to go a head and switch my 13 year old there too because my experience there has been great.

My family has been attending this dental office for over a year. We enjoy interacting with the staff members. All are extremely nice and professional. Scheduling appointment is no longer a headache thanks to the flexibility that they offer (Saturday appointments, etc.). The Dentist is very professional and kid friendly. A balance we could not get at our previous dental office. I appreciate the office being clean and disinfected. Especially, seeing clean toys in the waiting area. THANK YOU! All of my kids go here and they love it. The staff is professional and polite. They make my kids feel very comfortable. The doctor is very knowledgeable and nice. He’s very quick and thorough for my younger kids. He’s relatable because he’s a dad himself so he understands how it is. The whole office is kind. The dr and 1 other staff there was really nice however, I cant say much for the other staff. During my sons first time there, the staff was taking pictures of his teeth was ridiculously rude! Knowing it was my sons first time she didnt try to comfort him or give him time to relax. Instead she was impatient and forced him multiple times. When he wouldnt let her force him anymore she huff and puffed and gave up. She had said my 3 year old son who has never gone to the dentist before was too much to handle. But my son didnt even yell, cry, or threw a tantrum. She was the rudest and most unprofessional staff there. They only had 1 other appointment during my sons appointment but she was rushing the whole time.I tried giving them a 2nd chance since the dr. was nice. However, the second time I went in they had canceled my sons appointment because it was our fault their system did not send us a text to confirm the appointment. They didnt call us to confirm this appointment because it was our job to call them to confirm. When another family came in, they had pushed me aside to work on them.I was then told because it was our fault they will do us a f***** favor and let my son be seen by the dr. I have experienced enough to never go back to this place! They need to clearly train their staffs or replace this 1 person. I do not need my son to be traumatized again nor do I need to put up with their rudeness.I see all the nice review and was trusting of the process but my son and I was treated so differently than these reviews.I would not recommend anyone going unless they know for sure the staff is having a good day. Because no one needs that kind of negative service.

Smile Zone is the place I was waiting for! I must say, I was hesitant at first to go through the hassle of moving my children from their usual dentist to this new location. I cannot be more happier I made that decision. Staff is great, facility is clean and most importantly the doctor is awesome! He did excellent work on my son. He made sure he explained everything thoroughly to us parents. My son was not just one more patient, he genuinely cared and took his time to make sure my son was comfortable and to do his best work. They were very friendly and knowledgeable! They actually offered a dental treatment that our previous dentist refused to offer.... They even told us that the other dentist should never have tried to schedule our youngest childs canines to be extracted as it is only a last resort thing if there is a SERIOUS bacterial infection... Which there is not...They were extremely helpful with figuring out treatment plans for my kids and reasonable with prices and insurance and scheduling! They refuse to strap kids down if they get stressed or move too much like our old dentist used to do. The second my oldest started crying about doing an x-ray they were encouraging but did not push her to do it if she wasnt comfortable. Overall the staff are very friendly and helpful and so far we are enjoying their office visits.

Brought both my girls here (ages 2 and 7) with very positive experiences.My 7 year old has a lot of trauma from previous dental experiences at our previous dental office but we managed to walk out without a single tear at her cleaning. Doctor is very thorough and understanding when it comes to explaining the necessary next steps, even being sure to refer out to be on the safe side. She agreed that the office gives “better prizes” than her previous office (the random thoughts of a child).My 2 year old also had a pleasant experience. We were truthfully late when it came time to taking her to her first appointment but in a sense, I am so relieved. I have a feeling if we did, we would have taken her to the previous office and the experience wouldn’t have been as smooth as this one. She even allowed him to brush her teeth which is usually never the case. He was very helpful when it came down to explaining options for her which is appreciated.The office itself has really sweet staff. They talk to your child and really encourages them. They smile and compliment them to help encourage them along the way. This makes a world of a difference especially for those little kiddos who have been petrified to death before walking into this office. The place is clean, organized, and quiet. It’s so nice to have a place that is like this here in town to service our kiddos. Can’t thank the entire staff enough for being so helpful.

My 6 year old had a bad experience with a previous provider. I explained this to the gals that took care of him during our first visit. I cannot express how AMAZING and patient they were with him. They explained what they were doing him which calmed him down so much. He was very happy when he left and there is nothing greater than seeing your child happy and well taken care of! Wonderful. Worked well with my 4 year old and accommodated later same day appointments for my older children. My children actually enjoyed their dentist visit. When looking for a dentist for my baby girl, I wanted a place that wasnt always busy. Smile Zone was the perfect dental for me. Appointments were easily made even when I had to reschedule. The longest I had to wait was 5 minutes and was out within 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and my daughters dentist knew how to handle my daughter better than I did. Both my children 6yr & 4yr loved the visit they were pretty scared at first due bad experiences with the previous office. My daughter kept telling me the whole time how nice the lady who took her x-rays was and how she wants it to be her new dentist forever ! lol When the doctor was explaining the follow up treatment he mentioned that one of my daughters loose tooth was going to need to get pulled because the impact the growing one had and my daughter immediately became scared and said no I don’t want to, he simply said okay we won’t pull it just keep wiggling it to make it more lose.
