This dental office may be good for kids but I have seen the quality of Smile Time Dental (STD) go down over the past few years. On my last visit i was told that I needed a crown and several fillings among other things, I went and got a second opinion by a dental professional with 30+ years of experience and he didnt even mention the crown, or the fillings. When I told him that they recommended these things, he STILL didnt think it was even necessary. I have no pain and no sensitivity! His gum exam was also very thorough, it wasnt rushed like the one they gave me. I wont ever come back here. Rather than encourage patients to brush better, they just push treatments that you dont need.

Took my daughter for her exam for school. They did great! Thank you for spotting a cavity so early and being so sweet and patient. The dentist and assistant pictured did a very exceptional job well done!! They did the job. It was fast, easy, and simple for a kid who was scared.. and they gave her the diagnosis. my kid was scared but they kept her calm. If they’re in charge of the practice we’ll come back just because of how calm and to the point it was.

Very best dentist in the area . They treat you good allways in a good mood . They explain everything you need to know . They have goodie bags for the kids and a toy . They treat kids and adults . Also you dont have to be getting a referral for treatment it all gets done here :)

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I have never had such a horrible unprofessional Dental experience. I went in for a root canal at 4pm yesterday and they completely numbed my right side. The Dentist was unable to get the sanitary peace in place to even be able to start procedure. I am in so much pain and still dealing with Numbness for over 14hrs. I have tried to call HR and Administrator to report this complaint and was unable to make contact.

Don’t go there. They will do crown if you need just a filler, they will do filler if you need just a polish.They have put infection in my daughters tooth and now they want to remove almost healthy tooth. By far the best dentist experience I have ever had. Starting from the very first phone call, each and every person in the office made my experience phenomenal. Both the doctor and hygienist were patient, thorough, kind, efficient, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. They were not only obviously highly experienced, but were also incredibly decent people. I had 12 cavities filled without anesthesia, but left the office in high spirits due to the wonderfully welcoming, homey, caring and truly healing environment of the office. I have had a lot of bad experiences with dentists, but trust that these doctors and hygienists will take care of me and have my back! I highly recommend this office! Thank you so much for the care and healing you provided- it’s smile time! 😍😁

I absolutely love Smile Time Dental. They are so patient orientated. They make sure you are taken care of and understand the procedures so well. Today I went in for sealant and after leaving I noticed that my bite was a little off. I went back to the office and they took time (Brianna is the best) to get me in the back for an adjustment no questions asked. Dr. Anwar and the staff is so kind I really am so happy I found Smile Time. 😃

Dont do it. They are nice. But they are mismanaged. Charging my daughter for services not provided. Got an insurance ombudsman involved we won but they are still trying to charge her account, we had to block her bank. They are still trying to bill for the services they didnt provide, and called it delinquent and if we dont fix it they will send it to collections. All of this plus bad scheduling took us 3 months to get a tooth pulled she needs 3 more pulled but they never called back after over 10 messaged left.

Completely unprofessional!Smile Time Dental was listed as a dentist with my Blue Shield Dental plan and had decent reviews. They may have good dentists, Ill never know, but their office staff in incompetent.When you call, Im pretty sure its just a call center because you can hear dozens of people on the phone in the background. You also have that irritating press 1 for this, and 2 for that .... rather waiting on hold press for a call back nonsense before speaking to a real person.My initial appointment was scheduled several months away! I made arrangements with my schedule and work for this appointment. The NIGHT BEFORE my appointment I received a call from their office staff saying they needed me to name their dentist specifically on the insurance. I called Blue Shield and made the changes. The morning of my appointment the Smile Time Staff called and said that the insurance change takes 24-48 hours so that I was going to have to pay CASH for my appointment!Had the staff taken the insurance information when scheduling my initial appointment (like my NEW dentist did), there wouldnt have been an issue. Considering Smile Time Dentist works with insurance on a daily basis, youd think the office staff would be more professional and proactive.

If I could give this a zero I would. I have never had such an awful experience at a dentist office. Insurance wasnt confirmed ahead of time but instead of giving me any communication I sat there and waited 20min. When I went up and asked after waiting they told me my insurance wasnt confirmed and they were confirming it..then 5 minutes later I hear one of them say they cant confirm it until 830am. My appointment was at 8am. They also had scheduled my 5yr old with smile time and told me when I got there that he couldnt be seen at smile time due to his age even though their office is the one that scheduled it. After waiting 35min past my appointment time and getting there 50min ago because of check in time, they would not allow me to switch the order in which my kids were seen due to my special needs behaviors which when I booked it they told me I could. 1 hour later of course I just left. What a waste of time. Driving an hour because their EDH office is only open Mondays. I will NEVER go back. I have never had an issue with our previous office that understood kids needs. Unfortunately we relocated and this was what we got. Awful. Stay away.

I wish I could have came here years ago. I had 2 different dentist tell me that they would NOT work on my crowns due to the fact whoever did them first, they couldn’t fix it. I decided to come here because my insurance covers. So it’s been about 7 years I never went back to any dentist, but I had to go because now I’m in pain. My first appt with miss Alex and her assistant Becky. They both assured me that everything will go smoothly, and miss Alex told me she is able to fix my crowns. She did an EXCELLENT job on me, I am able to smile again. She fixed the 2 crowns I had that were falling off. She even fixed the color of my teeth.My next appt was with Carlos & Fortune…Carlos fixed my cracked crown on my lower right side. Im super terrified of needles, and Fortune made sure I was going to be okay. Carlos was very smooth with numbing me, and kept talking through everything he was doing to my tooth. The whole procedure went so smoothly. If I can give this place a 10 I certainly would. I’ll be going here from now on, I’m so glad and happy I found this place. The staff at the front are also very friendly, and helpful. They make you feel welcomed.I wish I took picture of my before and after, but I’m so happy I can smile again.

The worst place I have ever been to. Unprofessional staff. I was there for a basic cleaning and it took 2.5 hours and still I had to leave without doing the final stages. I was kept waiting for hours and just a staff was coming after almost an hour and was saying some one will be right back with you. The lady who was supposed to complete the final stage after cleaning was busy with her cell phone, though I asked her two times to finish her task, but, she was still busy with her phone and I had to leave without finishing.Not recommending this place for anyone.

Weve been coming to smile time for our two kids for the last three years and are really happy to finally be at a dentist that doesnt make things difficult! From routine exams and cleaning to sedation dentistry, we love the care and attention from all the staff and doctors. Brenda was especially great on our last visit when my son had a hard time with xrays...she is so kind and patient with kids! I like how they have been able to fit us in last minute and even offered appointments at their other offices to accommodate us.

I have the worst dental insurance that pays out very little and denies every claim I ever make. I dont know why this place accepts my insurance but I am so happy they do! They are not perfect but the staff here is friendly and professional and they do a great job. Ive been going here about 2+ years now and I went from needing deep cleanings that my insurance didnt want to pay for to needing just regular cleanings due to good care and following their directions for oral care on my part. Today I accidentally showed up 30 minutes early to my appointment and I had another appointment at the hospital immediately afterwards and I was worried I wouldnt be able to make my other appointment at the hospital due to needing to drive across town. I let the front office staff know I had made a mistake and I needed to get my exam finished by 4pm to make it to my next appointment and literally everyone worked together to make that happen for me. They were super busy, so I was grateful they were willing to be so helpful. Super nice staff and one of the best dental offices by far, even over the fancy dentist offices you can find. I only go here because they take medi-cal but it is an absolute waste of my time. Most of my appointments have been rescheduled repeatedly. It takes over a year to actually get in for my 6 month cleaning. They call, text and email to confirm over and over again but then call to cancel the day before my appointments, this is a pattern. Also horrible for kids. They harass me to bring my child in and then do nothing except count her teeth?! They are not great working with kids or making them feel comfortable. I am so frustrated and angry with this place. If you have better insurance than medi-cal I would avoid this place.

I had a good experience here. I needed a crown and they were able to see me right away. Everybody was very kind and concerned about my welfare and comfort. Sadly, not off to a good start! After waiting MONTHS for an appt I scheduled online, I called to verify upcoming appt in Citrus Heights . They said online scheduler sometimes over books and appt is no long available! They schedule me for another day. Say I could go to Folsom for quicker appt. 40 minute drive-- I say o.k. Then I get a call from Folsom Smile Time saying I have to make change with insurance company.. Stay tuned!--If I ever actually get in, Ill hopefully leave a better review with more stars.EDIT -- changing from 1 star to 4 stars.. I finally got an appointment in Citrus Heights, went in and was told Dr not in that day so had to reschedule again! At this point things were a bit comical so I thought o.k. Ill schedule again. When I finally did get in to an appointment, I felt like a kid again as Minions was playing loudly on a screen above my head. O.K. LOLFront desk, xray tech, Dr and staff were very nice. Amber and Selina (I think) and others were very kind. I did xrays and came back for a deep cleaning in one quadrant which went very well and improved condition of the area. Hygienist took her time and there was no pain at all. Actually looking forward to regular cleaning. Only I never did get referral to perio.. or I missed it. Ill have to follow up.Overall seems like very nice staff with some scheduling issues, possibly due to corporate pushing staff to squeeze in as many people as possible. My appointment was early at opening, before mad rush. Overall, I would recommend, but you must have patience and do a lot of follow-up, not to mention fill in a lot of cumbersome legal forms online. No one actual went over my plan with me as they were swamped; I found it online. Thanks. Figures dont jive with insurance, but thats the nature of US healthcare, I suppose. Deep clean was reasonable, crown way higher than insurance quotes. Spending a lot of time trying to figure out insurance, coverage and costs seems to be the nature of the beast in the USA where overall cost is 2x that of Germany.

The communication from Smile Time Dental and Make a Smile is HORRIBLE.I was a new patient and I needed my wisdom teeth pulled because I was in pain, so I contacted Smile Time Dental and told me that I needed to do a new patient checkup and a consultation for my wisdom teeth extraction. Thats fine. They did the checkup and then the treatment coordinator (who was unable to answer any questions I had about any of the things they were recommending) insisted that I needed a deep clean before getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Fine. I get the cleaning done and the hygienist is amazing and friendly. I go to my wisdom teeth extraction consultation with Make-a-Smile (their sister company they referred me to) and they tell me that theyll have a quote for me within a week. Perfect. TWO MONTHS GO BY AND I HEAR NOTHING FROM THEM. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND COULDNT REACH ANYONE. I finally get a quote from them and its reasonable. I decide to go with another oral surgeon to do my wisdom teeth extraction and find out that Smile Time Dental had maxed out my dental coverage by doing the deep cleaning and Make-a-Smile would not be able to honor their quote, so I had to pay an extra $1K than I would have if I hadnt listened to Smile Time Dentals unqualified treatment coordinator.TL;DR: the dental hygienist from Smile Time Dental was great and the receptionists were friendly, but do not listen to their unqualified treatment coordinator! Seriously, get a second opinion. If they refer you to Make-a-Smile, make plans elsewhere if you dont want to wait 2 months for an incorrect quote.

I have the worst fear every time I go to the dentist. Ive been to some places where they dont really show good customer service, theyre more concerned about getting you in and out so they can make more money. Smile Time Dental is different. They are very nice, they take the time to explain everything, and they are pretty gentle with their work. Honestly they are the only place I will ever go to from now on. They make going to the dentist easier and more relaxing.

Dont waste your time here. They do not have prompt service, or good service. I was given a horrible run around once my Dentical approval for services came through. It took two months of calling before anybody called me back. Then the day before my appointment, I was told that the hygienist had put a medical hold on my procedure and would not do it without a note from my doctor saying it was safe to work on me. When I asked why they did this they said because of a medical condition I have and the fact that I take medication. Let me tell you in the last 10 years not one dentist has ever decided that diabetes and me taking a antidepressant and an anti inflammatory med was a reason to demand clearance from my doctor to work on me . They had 2 months in advance to tell me about this hold and they waited until 24 hours before my appointment, and my doctor will not do a letter stating that I am able to undergo a deep cleaning so they wont do my deep cleaning. He said Kaiser doesnt do that. The hygienist is refusing to do the procedure without the note. So thats basically months wasted with this company, and I have to start all over with a new dentist, a new round of x rays a new round of referrals to Dentical and then Dentical is going to reject them again m and then Im going to have to go through dental Care again rejecting my work because they say that I have perfect teeth even though I have gingivitis so bad my gums bleed the minute I brush them. If I wasnt able to get the appointment on the 9th then the only other appointment they had for a deep cleaning was the 29th of December because their hygienist is hardly ever in the office, I told them I would not be continuing my business with them and I am going elsewhere since the hygienist will not budge on the note from the doctor and the doctor will not budge on they dont do that. This place does not have prompt service and Im really just dis pleased that they wasted 3 months of my time.

I was told my insurance wise im not assigned to this place if this is on sunrise bl next to target I been there twice. Im having a dental emergency the lose tooth hanging from a root is now tangled tight and up in lodged between my gum and lip ouch I hurt I was told im not assigned to that office I called liberty member service they said I certainly am assigned there so that was 2 pm it’s now 8 the dentist recordings advice 911 im don’t need a ER doctor but a darn dentist does anyone care? Dont recommend with an HMO insurance, there may be scammy extra charges added.All I wanted was to get a simple cleaning done that my insurance would cover. What should be one visit for exam and cleaning (what I have had with other dentists) is split into two so there will be two separate copays collected. I was told from my exam that I would be getting a regular cleaning by the doctor and that there were just a few spots to watch for cavities. I was told the cleaning visit would cost the same as the exam ($50).I then arrived for my cleaning and was asked for close to $200 out of pocket because my case was a category B instead of A and required a special mouth wash and something else due to my gum recession. They said that I actually needed more than a regular cleaning even though during the exam appointment the dentist used those exact words saying all I would need is a regular cleaning. I tried to opt out of those other charges and they said they were required.Thats a bunch of bull. Its required by the dentist office because they can make more money from it. Theres a reason insurance doesnt cover that stuff, its because it is not deemed medically necessary. What is medically necessary is me getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months.As a patient I should have a right to decide exactly what care I receive, especially if it aligns with what insurance would cover. I want to state that the staff at the front desk were kind and did their best to try to explain things to me, it is not their fault, but the Smile Time Dental corporate money making decisions are extremely frustrating.So apparently Smile Time Dental feels like me getting no cleaning at all is better for my health than a standard cleaning because they wouldnt let me get the treatment insurance would actually cover.The options were: pay $200 or we cant see you. Thanks, I didnt realize that keeping the buildup of plaque and tarter was actually the better option than getting it removed. I guess that is why I am not a dental specialist.

UPDATE/AFTER: The office informed me that they have a system to where you are not connected with an office rep at your specific location every time. If your office doesn’t pick up the phone, it goes to whatever rep is available since they have multiple sites in different cities. Margo doesn’t work for the Citrus Heights office. Carolina apologized for the phone rep’s behavior.BEFORE:I really wanted to go here. All of my appointments were scheduled, and the most important one has to be rescheduled because one of the dentists cannot make it to the office at that time. That is understandable. The clerk told me I couldn’t be seen until April. It is February and I have lesser dental appointments at that same office in April. I told her that the dentist and dental assistant of the office informed me that the rescheduled appointment is the work that I need to have done before my other work. They told me as soon as possible, that’s why I had it scheduled for this week. I asked if there were any other dentists in the building besides the two mentioned because the office manager told me a couple of days ago that there were many dentists at their office. MARGO, whoever that is, had an attitude and told me I can reassign myself to another office and that I had to call my insurance. She didn’t say those exact words. She said it more rudely before even checking for other dentists. That’s extremely rude to just jump the gun and tell a client to reassign themselves somewhere else. I was telling her what the dentists and dental assistants told me, and she had the nerve to tell me to go elsewhere. I am on my way to the office right now to tell them to cancel everything and to give me my X-rays so I can go somewhere else. Customer service is THAT important. Start speaking to people correctly over the phone. You’re supposed to be helping them, not giving attitude and hindering them.

Worst dental experience ever. Had a filling fall out and made an appointment to see what they could do. Went in and they had me down for routine check up. They did the x-rays and had to be talked to with about 4 other staff present. Was told I needed a deep cleaning, 8 to 12 crowns including the front 4 teeth but still didnt address the missing filling. Finally, I said I need the hole in my tooth taken care of. Had to come back several times before it was fixed. Then was told would have to see one of their specialists in Folsom for possible periodontal issues and it would be a free consultation. Went there and felt humiliated when they talked to me after the free consultation. The dentist talked down to me like a little kid about taking care of teeth. Again, this was in front of several people. They went and cancelled my 4 deep cleaning appointments (I had to put $50.00 down for each appt in order to even have appointments) and had some financial lady tell me that I was looking at $16,000.00 for surgery and crowns but no guarantees and payments would be around $600.00 a month after whatever my insurance covers. I said sorry cant afford it. Asked for my $200.00 deposit refunded and rhey deducted close to $60.00 for the free consultation. Find a dentist that cares!

This company is running a scam by pretending to care. A follow up appointment for urgent care and emergencies can take two months to be seen again. Staff doesn’t follow thru with urgent referrals. Rather than phoning insurance co. to get authorization for urgent care, they take several weeks to submit request for authorization., leaving patient waiting in pain. Terrible company ethics!! If I could give zero stars I would choose that option. We started going here last year, and we were very unhappy after our first appointment. To begin with, we made our first cleaning appointments for ourselves and our son. When we got to the appointments they spent 10 minutes looking at our teeth and then made appointment for cleaning. I was mad at the time as I have never gone to a dentist that requires an appointment for checking teeth, and the an appt, for cleaning. We made the follow up appointments however and they had told my husband that his appointment would a cleaning and a filling, and they didn’t not do the filling and forced him to make another appointment. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as they were newly open at that point, and we made appointments for cleaning 6 months later. Again, they tried to do the inspection and X-rays and the cleaning in 2 separate appointments. My husband needed a crown and a filling and paid in advance. Every appointment they kept trying to charge him again, and he kept telling them he had paid in advance. 5 months later, we received a bill for additional charges, even though he had paid in full in advance!! Every single appointment we had with them they messed up the billing, charged us after the fact incorrectly. They also tried to force my not even 3 year old to sit through X-rays and got mad at me when I told them no! We gave them several chances and the benefit of the doubt multiple times, but we are done. Would NOT recommend!!!

When I first arrived at Smile Time Dental, I was a little confused in where the building was, but when I talked to the front desk employee over the phone she told me that they share their building with an orthodontics company.Overall, I had a great first time experience. The employee that took my x-rays and Dr. Monica checking my teeth were all great! I was nervous as HECK since its been well over a decade since I last stepped foot in a dental office, but they were ALL so considerate and gentle and caring, which helped to ease the anxiety so much.I was the 1st patient in at opening (the earlier, the better, IMO). Yadira at the front desk immediately complimented me on my hair and that instantly made me smile and feel comfortable off the bat. Everything was explained clearly as far as what was going to take place for this visit and I only sat to wait for a few minutes before Julissa took me back for some X-rays. She took my temperature, was super chill and got me through that process fairly quickly.Then, after just a tiny bit of a wait, Lynden (the hygienist, I believe), came over to take a closer look and she was the absolute sweetest!!!! I explained a couple of my concerns and she surprised me with some positive feedback (which literally brought me to tears because I was expecting way worse news).Next, the doctor (Alix) came over (again, no real wait) and she was so, so kind. She could see I was emotional and showed care right away. It was just a few more minutes of another thorough look-over and she reassured me that everything was going to be okay. She asked if I had any questions and then went on her way after I thanked her!Julissa then walked me over to Innas office, where we got into the insurance stuff. Honestly, this portion was the highlight of todays visit. She was SO personable from the start of our conversation that I almost forgot where I was, haha. How can someone make something tedious or boring a good time? I have no clue, but she did. She was like the cherry on top of the whole experience, honestly. We had a great conversation while she efficiently walked me through the details of scheduling and cost and coverage, etc. etc. She got my appointments set in a jiffy, explained how and what needed to happen moving forward, and sent me on my way as a happy gal.I know I didnt get any work done yet, but for someone who has lost confidence in her smile for a while, I left cheesing over the the good news and the sincere care I already got on visit #1! They didnt treat me any less than for having Denti-Cal. I felt so taken care of and welcomed and Im excited to come back in for all of my appointments. Update: nice to know your office just drops people when they give a bad review. Good for keeping your rating up if you just remove everyone who says anything bad about you. *****Went in to have a sore tooth looked at and went through there new method of letting people in only to be met with no one in the place and no sign or information on how to sign in or even if I had to sign in. After standing in the waiting room for 15 minutes I finally got to see a real person only to be rushed through my appointment and given a prescription for a medication that no pharmacy in the area carries. When I called back to have the doctor change it to a more available option I was told the doctor was with a patient and they would call back within the hour. Super friendly staff, very clean facility. However don’t waste your money on a night guard, the material they use is extremely hard and cuts into the inside of your lip. It is also short and doesn’t fully cover your teeth so the top lip gets stuck open. I now have a $360 paper weight I can’t use and they couldn’t fix it. We missed an appointment and were charged 100 dollars. The original manager said we would take care of it and never did and was eventually sent to collections. They called me the day of my appointment at 8 in the morning, when my appointment was scheduled for 12:30, to tell me they will need to reschedule. They asked if I could come in the next day which is ridiculous, who has a job that allows them to take time off with that short of notice? I declined their offer to reschedule. I will be finding a different provider. Calling to cancel an appointment 4 hours before the scheduled time when it has been booked for over 2 weeks is completely unprofessional. After arriving at Smile Care in Citrus Heights for my sons initial visit, Lynette (front desk receptionist) explained that there was an issue with my insurance coverage and my children not being covered. She immediately made the phone call to the insurance company and was able to work it all out and he was still able to be seen that day. Furthermore, she was able to get him back in 2 days later for the recommended treatment. She also was able to get my other son seen the following day as well. I would not recommend them AT ALL, before I came into this office, I asked for them to run my Insurance # to see if it covers for their office, and it Did. But boy was there a turn to this when I first came in they asked did I want to receive the Exam where its a small fee [not sure what it is called ] I respectfully declined. A year ago I had some dental work done that I am going to need again that was Free and under the same Insurance I have now. So the dentist calls me and leaves a message about the work I would need to be done that I had received a year ago, I return her call and she proceeds to tell me a large fee I will have to pay, which is normally free and I respectfully mention to her I need to call my insurance and discuss why that is not covered anymore we hung up the phone, I call my insurance and asked why its not covered and I was told everything is covered by my insurance so they are not understanding why they are trying to charge me. I still need some fillings done and was still willing to come in and receive the other work that was covered until whatever issue was worked out for my insurance to pay, I have called numerous times for them to return my call and they have yet to do so. So what I am getting from them is because I did not want to pay from my pocket for something that is covered on top of what I may need after the specialist from my pocket, they do not want to continue to do the service anymore

HMO Dental insurance patients beware! Since being part in-network for an HMO Dental Plan this office will not make a profit on your visit. So they need to upsell services or procedures and patients pay out of pocket. Upon my exam and xrays they claimed I needed a deep cleaning and that I had a small cavity that needed to be filled. The cleaning charges out of my pocket would have been nearly $800, plus a ridiculous amount for the filling. I declined their services & went back to my old dentist on a cash basis. After that exam I was told I not only didnt need a deep cleaning (just a regular cleaning) and what this place called a cavity was merely s spot where my partial was rubbing. Total legit charges from my trustworthy dentist are a fraction of what this place wanted to gouge.

Please check with you insurance company on every items they put on estimate carefully. I caught them charge several hundreds on covered services. I had Delta Dental insurance called them in advance and let they know it is covered, but when I was in the office, they still said it is not covered, because their insurance staff are very inexperienced and could not find the covered item on providers insurance book. Small Time Crooks would be a much more appropriate name for this chain of Dentists. Do not go here unless you like hidden fees, poor communication skills and crooks who love to upsell you unnecessary treatments (Your insurance doesnt cover the fillings we use). Theyre also charging their patients for PPE even though its covered by the insurance since theyre part of their network. Also, they will refer you to their sister company in Folsom (out of network) if you need a root canal, extractions etc. Yeah. I am gonna travel to another city just for that. They are located about 20 minutes from my house. When I got there the receptionist told me that my appointment was canceled. She stated that someone called me a couple of days prior to let me know my referral had expired. I checked my incoming calls for over a week and they NEVER called me. I dont do well with being lied to.On April 11th 2022 when they wanted to change my appointment to mid June; I had her remove me from being a client.

We had an exceptional experience with the front desk, the new manager Kim Harrison, the dentist and the oral surgeon who came in all the way from Fresno to do the procedures needed. My daughter, Megan, was in so much pain. She had been to another dentist who would not do any work until some extractions were preformed. That other dentist made her feel horrible and she came home in tears from her experience. That all changed when we walked in for the first appointment with this fantastic team. They all took their time, took a full patient history, preformed an excellent diagnosis procedure and set out a plan for our daughter. Within a week, she was set to have those extractions. Again, the office staff was fantastic. The morning schedule had a wrench thrown in when the oral surgeon showed up late; but the office staff and the new office manager Kim Harrison made the wait not only tolerable but enjoyable. They kept everyone apprised of the later reschedule and promised all would be seen. When they took Megan back for the procedure, she was more than ready. My daughter was done in no time at all, with excellent post care given as well as post op instructions for after care. The next day we spoke with the new manager Kim Harrison, who not only continued the fantastic follow up care with Megan, but letting us know what the next steps in her oral care was. I would most certainly recommend this dentist office to anyone. The fees are very reasonable, the staff very accommodating, and the new manager is simply a miracle worker. Megan is actually looking forward to going back to see them to finish up the work needed in her mouth. The office was clean, neat and family friendly. I had the most unexpected time while there; expecting a cold quiet barely staffed office instead of the bright, clean, readily available staff/office that I got. What a wonderful surprise! My husband and I will be most certainly be going in for some denture repairs and adjustments. Thank you SmileCare staff/team! You all are so fabulous and we feel truly blessed to have found you.

Andrea is a dental hygienist and on August 4 she got me through one of the most difficult days ever. Ive been to the dentist twice in my life and have horrible anxiety about the dentist. Andrea was so understanding patient with me. I asked to see the tool she was going to use and she showed me without making me feel like a nuisance. Andrea even played relaxing music. She cared about me and my feelings. Also she is helping me on Friday with my left side deep cleaning.

I went into for extractions, my wait time wasnt very long and the receptionist for the Oral Surgeon made sure you went to the correct registration desk and Dr, Aklilu, helped me clam down...as I was having severe anxiety about the procedure...but after he numbed my gum......he kept speaking to me while doing the procedure. I was glad to have those teeth extracted as they had caused much pain and misery....everyone at the site was polite, helpful and comforting. Id recommend them to all my family and friends.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!I was driving to my appointment today that was at 2pm and the entire 80 freeway was closed to one lane due to an 18 wheeler that got turned over. I called to let them know i was running a few minutes late due to the accident and by the time kayla answered the phone (on hold) it was 2:12 pm and i was pulling into the parking lot. Kayla then proceeded to tell me there is a note on my file saying if im more than 10 min late to reschedule, i then asked why a first time customer would have a note like that and she changed her story and said there is a 10 min late policy supposedly. The point of this little story is that i wasted nearly an hour driving here all to be lied to by a receptionist and waste a couple hours of my time just to not be seen.

I do like the dentist I have had the past 2 times. Should make sure with your insurance company they dont over charge you on out of pocket expenses. Wow! Awful experience I had. They tell you to come 15 mins prior to appointment, but they dont mention that youll be sitting and waiting in the lobby for 40 mins, when you are the only person there. I was a first time patient wanting to get my teeth cleaned. The receptionist NEVER mentioned that I would have to come back a different day to get my teeth cleaned! Ive always received my cleaning whether 1st or 5th cleaning on the day of my appointment. I was shocked when the hygienist told me this. I talked to the manager how I was never told about not receiving a teeth cleaning today that they had to see what type of cleaning my teeth needed first, then I would have to come and get my teeth cleaned. The manager just made up excuses about the whole thing acting as if it was my fault. If a new patient is coming into your office for an appointment, the receptionist need to explain the appointment in more detail and not just schedule an appointment and take new patients. Thats how you lose patients. Warning just go to a different place!!! Dont waste your time here! Go to a dentist that will actually respect you and be happy you have chosen them as their dentist

Just finished my first deep cleaning with Tay H., absolutely blown away how pain free the whole experience was. I was expecting a horrid, white-knuckle experience but not at all! Tay is an exceptionally light-handed hygienist; although I had a lot of scrapping done, her touch was so gentle that I found myself relaxing more and more as the procedure continued! Amazing! Grateful! No fears whatsoever about returning for the second-half of the cleaning! So glad I found a place this place; I will definitely be keeping up on my teeth cleaning schedule! You get given a treatment plan after your first visit with a list of procedures and prices per visit. Then, in my experience, the throw that completely out the window. Facility operates in an unprofessional manner. On 7-7-16 @ 1:00 pm l checked in for my appointment. I was told by receptionist that my assigned dentist was sick. Another appointment was given for 7-21-16 @ 3:00 pm. Upon arriving l was told they had no record of an appointment for me. I presented the appointment card and was told to take a seat. I was referred to SmileCare by an acquaintance as a place that would accept Medi-Cal for some much needed oral surgery I needed. I had been previously scheduled with a surgeon that did not accept it and I was planning to spend several thousand dollars; so when I heard Medi-Cal would pay for the work I obviously went with that option. However, when I looked at some of the online reviews for SmileCare I got really nervous because they were terrible. They were mostly about the front office service and a dentist I did not deal with, but I was not expecting very good service. Im happy to say that I had an excellent experience. Dr. Victor Chavez was my oral surgeon and he was friendly, reassuring, and even my dentist commented on (after a follow up visit today) what an excellent job he did. He was also surprised by how much time I told him it took, as there was some extensive work. Im also going to give some kudos to the front office as they were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I am taking off a few points however for general condition of the office (waiting room floor was really pretty dirty and the place could use to fresh paint to replace the peeling wallpaper) and the fact that their fax machine has been on the fritz for over two weeks. It made getting the referal from my dentist to their office a pain for not only my dentists office but for me (as I had to deliver it personally the day of the visit.) Seriously people....fax machines are not that big of an expense and there is like an Office Max right on the same block. I saw them send a girl out for Starbucks....have her stop at Office Max and get a dang fax machine! With that said, when it came to the important stuff I was impressed and would go back; especially since when using Medi-Cal I dont expect the Taj Mahal. Thank you SmileCare!

My 72 year old father, a Veteran, broke his front tooth and not only did it take him awhile to get an appointment with Smile Time even though it was an emergency injury; the Smile Time dentist told him there was nothing that they could do to help, they also told him he would have to see a Paradontist /Oral Surgeon. We took him to another dentist who within 3 hours had the tooth pulled and a bridge constructed. Saving my Dad thousands of dollars and a bunch of time. Way less money later, and in only 3 hours, the second dentist saved him from what Smile Time told him was necessary. Stay away from this dentist at all costs.

They refused to help me when it counted most I might be looking into pressing some kind of charges they seem nice at first and then leave you suffering. Bad.....I had quite a bit of work done here....after hearing I needed shots because my gums wdre receding I was suspicious...went to a dufferent dentest and was told my gums were fine. My new dentist discovered smile care had incorrectly put a crown on. That tooth then needed a root canal. Last time I was there I overheard another patient that needed a crown redone because it was done wrong in that same office....Ive gone there for two years and they seem to always be changing staff because they dont know what there doing.

I felt I had no choice because there I was numb and half procedure done. No explanation as to why so much until I saw bill. I should have been given a choice to deny what my insurance did not cover.
