Very unprofessional. Joel doesn’t return my calls. Everytime I go in person he’s always out of the country. It’s unacceptable to treat paying clients like this. I wasn’t given any updates about my account so now I’m out $500. Also it’s been a year since I went in and paid him to help me with my IRS papers. Seems like he’s scamming people.

Smart Services are the best accountants in San Fernando Valley. If you have any kind of issues with your taxes then Joel is the man to go to. I was late 5 years on my tax returns, he was able to get me up to date, waived the late penalty fees all those years, and get me back in good standings with the IRS.

The professionals from Smart Services are great! I just filed my 2016 taxes with Joel, one of their enrolled agents, and he was fantastic!He was friendly, professional, and most importantly VERY helpful in working with me to ensure I got the biggest return possible.I had been an H&R Block customer for 2 years, however, I felt that the service and treatment you get with Smart Services is much better. They definitely go above and beyond to work with you, and their office is a very friendly and comfortable environment. I forgot to bring some of the necessary deduction information with me to the appointment, and Joel was kind enough to let me use his computer to look through my email, websites, etc. This is something that I wouldnt have been able to do at H&R Block because to be honest, the agents there always seem to be rushing you.Overall, I give Smart Services 5/5 stars!They made a customer for life!

The guys at Smart Services are well organized and amazing. They will answer all your queries and the great service is totally worth the money. I am a F1 student and my tax situation was complicated as it involved multiple states (Florida and California) and various stocks transactions from multiple brokers. I was help by one their registered tax consultant (Joel) and he was extremely pleasant, very detailed, and without errors. he also took some time to investigate getting me some extra credits. He also told me what declarations will have what effect on my return in the future.Definitely will recommend and always file taxes with them! :)

Great experience all around. Juan Carlos was very helpful, friendly and knows how to make you feel at ease. Since getting your taxes done are no fun! Upon walking into the office I was a few minutes late, no waiting and I was even offered coffee, soda or water. Not many tax places are as inviting as Smart Services. The process was quick and everything thing was explained to me as he went through the tax preparation process. They have won my trust and my continued business!

Wow! Great services, biggest tax returns so far and they charged me close to nothing since it got taken from my returns and had to put no money down. Joel was the guy who assisted me and my wife. They just got a client for life. They also assisted my parents in spanish. Juan carlos helped them flawlessly. A+. First google review for me but they deserve it. Give these guys a raise!

The Smart Services team is very professional. I have a small company and before I did taxes with other people (HR&Block) and they always attended to me quickly, concerned about serving more clients and the worst part, I had to pay a lot of taxes; Now that I did the taxes with Smart Services, everything was for the best. They reviewed my taxes from 2 previous years, made some amendments and got me a good refund, and this year it went much better, Joel took care of all the accounting for my company and now I am more than happy.I definitely recommend Smart Services for tax preparation, my brothers have already started and they are more than happy, one of them has already won a television.
