DJ JOEEEEEEEE!!!! Creative. Fun. Professional. Humble. Kind.These are just a FEW of the words I could use to describe our experience working with Joe. From start to finish, I never once doubted that our wedding day would flow smoothly because Joe was at the mic. His questionnaire offers so many brilliant ideas to make your wedding day unique and personal to you and your partner. Joe set up multiple sound systems throughout our ceremony and reception space, offered backlighting for the pool house, and fun colored lights for the dance floor. He also whipped out a surprise bubble gun (and took NO CREDIT for it, mind you) on the perfect song that he cued up for us to dance to! During dinner, he had our guests Dance for their Dinner in a video that has now gone viral with over 2 million views!! To this day, people still talk about that part of the day :)Joe is incredibly professional and personable. He went above and beyond in every way. I had the idea of creating a personalized song for my Father Daughter dance and he edited it for me to make the voiceover flow seamlessly with the song. He even made a way for us to have a special private dance at the end of the night, just me and my husband, before our send off. To anyone who is planning a wedding or a large event, HIRE JOE. He is hands down the best DJ Ive ever worked with!!

We had Mike Woodall as our DJ at our wedding and WOW! Our experience with Mike was so amazing. He was so helpful with all the prep work and has so much experience as a wedding DJ. We wanted more of a rock n roll theme and he absolutely nailed it. He was such a good MC and kept everything so organized and moving along nicely. People came up to us all night long saying how great the music was! And even after the wedding was over people were telling us how great our DJ was and how FUN our wedding was.We have been to many weddings, and sometimes the DJ can absolutely ruin what would otherwise be a great wedding. This was definitely not the case for us, Mike made our wedding so amazing and everyone loved him! He was by far our favorite vendor. Joe was so easy to talk to and to share our vision with. He was full of great ideas for our reception and because of all the fun interactive parts of our wedding, many of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to! Words can’t even begin to describe how wonderful and easy it was to work with Joe for our wedding. Jose was our DJ/emcee, and I also ordered a neon sign to him. His excellent service is unmatched! Our wedding day was Spectacular thanks to S & J Disc Jockey! Where do I start..! We had S & J (Joe) not only be our DJ, but also officiated our ceremony so I will start with the ceremony.The ceremony was absolutely Perfect! Joe was our officiant and he put in so much time and effort into getting to know us so that our ceremony was perfectly tailored to represent who we are. We arent formal people, so we wanted the ceremony to be fun rather than serious. Of course there were serious parts, but Joe had everyone laughing and truly enjoying the ceremony. Even when my veil fell off, thanks to Joe, we just went with it and laughed.The Reception-The reception was absolutely perfect as well. Joe had the timeline down and kept the energy going during the entire reception. There was never a dull moment thanks to Joe directing everyone as to what was happening next ie.Grand entrance, time to eat, first dance, bouquet toss etc. Joe is very funny and had the crowd laughing all night.We added the Cold spart fountains which were Amazing! Joe perfectly timed when they went off to coincide with what was happening. They were Awesome! We also had some LED uplights which added so much beautiful color to the reception site.We had the Full Experience Photobooth too which was a complete hit with everyone! We have heard from so many guests who were in attendance about how cool and fun the photobooth was. The photobooth attendant was hilarious and very helpful!I highly recommend all of the above!Our wedding day was so much more than we expected it could ever be thanks to Joe!Thank you Joe and the S & J disc Jockey team!

DJ Joe is amazing! From the initial consulation, we felt that he was the best fit for our special day. Not only is he a genius on the turn tables, he’s also an amazing host/MC by helping keep your guests entertained and in the loop in order to keep your event running smoothly. He has many additional fun things to offer as well as DJ/MC services, such as…. a full service photo booth and a fog maching(to have your first dance in the clouds). We ordered these add ons through him and everything was MAGICAL! During the planning process, he helped us come up with several different ideas to keep our guests involved in our wedding (to ensure they didn’t feel they were there just to witness). One of these ideas was “dance for your dinner”… everyone LOVED this idea and it was a great way to entertain while also keeping our buffet style dinner flowing smoothly! He will play any and all the music you request—judgement free! He and his staff members were very friendly and did an amazing job at tailoring all of the services we ordered to be special to us. Our wedding day/night was 10/27/23…Not only did we get tons of compliments on our DJ selection the night of our wedding, but people are still talking about it! Rich was a blast to work with. He was familiar with the venue and knew exactly where to station speakers and other equipment to ensure a flawless audio experience. He played a lot of our requested songs, mixed in similar style music and handled individual requests from guests. Everyone raved about how fun the dance floor was. Mike with SJs DJ did an amazing job at our wedding at Monte Verde Inn! The entire process was so straight forward from the very beginning to the very end. It starts with an initial phone/zoom call to chat through how they run things and pricing, and from there it was a no brainer given how his laid back style meshed with how we envisioned the day. From there, he has a planning file that covers literally everything and anything DJ/emcee related for the wedding day. It was extremely easy to fill in, and he was able to pick up Spotify playlists and even get unique covers from YouTube. The highlight of that process is he has fun little recommendations on how to make the evening more engaging for the guests, so it was not all on us to entertain everyone; for example, fun games to release tables to the buffet, fun ways to acknowledge people invited. Day of the wedding, Mike was super professional and accommodating with the rainy weather, where he actually setup outside for the ceremony and cocktail hour, inside for the reception, and moved back outside for dancing. It was 100% seamless from our point of view, and we have no idea how he moved around the equipment without anyone noticing. He also got compliments on how well he emceed the night and kept everyone entertained. Sound quality was great, and he played absolutely amazing tunes that everyone loved. We also got a photobooth setup from SJs with Jacob as the attendant, and that was also fun and easy to add-on without having to find another vendor. We cannot recommend Mike from SJs enough!

Joe was a spectacular MC and DJ for my wedding! My wedding coordinator recommended him so my fiance and I set-up a Skype meeting with him. He genuinely cared about his role and how he can make our vision come to life for the big day. He was easy to talk to, work with, and had a bunch of great ideas. We love Rich so much! We are so glad that he was available for our day August 15, 2021. This was our 1 year vow renewal because COVID messed up the original day. I tell you I wasn’t that excited for this redo because it didn’t feel as special. But Rich was what made the day fun. He interacted with the guests, he was amazing at reading the crowd and offering suggestions based on the vibe he was getting, and it was spot on! I had an older crowd at my wedding, and wanted to make sure the guests were entertained. From our first meeting with Rich, he had so many ideas for how to keep the mood light and fun. I think all of our guests enjoyed having him DJ.Super Strongly recommend him for all weddings! Any type of wedding, with all age groups, and all sorts of vibes. Joe hands down made our wedding the best party ever! He had so many great ideas for keeping guests engaged, kept the party moving promptly on schedule, and was just wonderful to work with. He convinced us to incorporate some elements that I was initially unsure about, but in execution were some of my favorite moments of the wedding night. A great wedding DJ is less concerned about what music to play (Joe will play whatever you want!) and more concerned with hosting an event to remember, and Joe did all of that and more. We were SO happy we had Joe as our DJ. He was knowledgeable and flexible, and gave us a great planning toolkit so we could make a plan that was exactly what we wanted. He did an amazing job translating what we wanted into a great wedding experience - notably, one of the things that makes a vendor great is how they deliver advice, and Joe was VERY helpful on this front. One of the things I asked about was very specific and Joe explained how exactly he could make it happen, but also had the experience to tell me what I might not like about my idea in reality. I really appreciated the honesty, and it gave me the ability to make a more educated decision.We especially appreciated his flexibility in working with our venues shorter elopement packages, and even though our planning was last minute due to covid changes, the structure he gave our meetings made it feel like a series of easy and small decisions instead of a giant undertaking. Easily the most stress-free, honest and helpful vendor we hired for the day.We would ABSOLUTELY recommend Joe as a DJ, we could not have been happier with our experience!

Our DJ, Mike Woodall, did an amazing job for our wedding! We had lots of people come up to us and tell us that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to, and that was mostly Mikes doing. In preparing for the wedding, he had a full form to fill out that made it so easy to make decisions on what songs to play at certain times of the ceremony, entrance, dances, and so on. It really helped us stay organized while we planned our wedding. In there, there were a number of Games that he can do throughout the night, to keep everyone engaged and I EMPLORE everyone to take advantage of that and do as many as you can. We did a buffet style wedding and he kept the guests engaged while waiting to get up. We did a game where they had to answer questions about our relationship and us to be able to get up and get food. It got down right competitive! It was amazing and I recommend DJ Mike for any wedding in the area.Thanks Mike!

Joe was recommended to us by our photographer, Jessica Stout (also lights out great!). In our first meeting with Joe, it was clear he was a great listener. He asks the right questions to understand what you want your wedding and reception to be, teasing out the bits you hadnt thought of. He is full of ideas for how to enhance your intentions. Joes partnership played a major role in making our wedding the rollicking great time we wanted it to be for everyone. At the event, he is a masterful conductor with an intuitive feel for the needs of the attendees and the flow of the celebration. It was flawless. We were in such good hands. Joe brought fun new ideas to wedding games, song choices, and the very fun media minute during the ceremony. If you are looking for someone who knows how to provide smooth transitions, a continuously awesome atmosphere, great planning and superb reliability and communication, look no further! Our wedding was on New Years Eve of 2019, into the morning of 2020, and our party was thumping all night long. He listened to our requests, followed the flow and style of our wedding and provided us with the most awesome recommendations for songs, activities, special moments and more! We were about 5 DJ interviews deep by the time we spoke the DJ Joe, and our first interview was all we needed to know that he would provide the most amazing DJ service. Since we had a wedding that went from 5 pm to 1am, we knew we needed to fill the time with activities for one and for all, and during out first phone call he had a seemingly endless list of ideas that we could pull from to make that happen! As my husband and I are both teachers, we appreciate (more than the usual suspect) how organized Joe was, how detailed his plans were, and we 110% trusted that he was going to make our wedding the flow with the energy we needed at the times we needed it. We played the shoe game, caption the picture, top 10, anniversary dance, centerpiece giveaway games, fun alternative couple kissing games, special wedding party introductions, a grand entrance dance party kick off and more! We also did our photobooth services through SJs as well and the attendant Paul was amazing! Everyone mentioned that it was so nice to have a personal touch on the photobooth. We did both video messages as well as regular photos and it went off without a hitch! Joe Kalamaras is a fantastic wedding DJ! And Im a wedding planner, so I work with a LOT of DJs! I tend to judge wedding DJs by three criteria: 1) do they manage the dance floor well, meaning do they play the right music for the crowd, change up the music when its warranted, and interact with the guests in a fun but not cheesy way; 2) do they mix songs together well so that the music blends seamlessly from song to song; and 3) do they respect my timeline. Joe meets all three criteria! And as a bonus, he has a delightful personality (and a smooth radio voice - this is the voice you want emceeing your wedding reception). Man did Joe really help us celebrate our special day. From the day we booked him he was really helpful. He sent lists of songs to help choose from. He was also able to help recommend a photographer. And was even able to bring a photo booth for my guests to enjoy. But the most special part was how he was able to get all my friends and family who say they can’t dance up on the dance floor. Joe is absolutely spectacular!!! He is SO FUN to work with and has so many great ideas! He was such a joy to plan with. He did amazing work with our clueless selves. We let him do his thing on a couple of things we didnt have any clue on or answers for him and let me tell you my husband, myself and the all the wedding guests were not disappointed! I highly recommend SJs for your DJ needs. I was a COVID postponement from 2021 to 2022 and was so happy that I was able to keep with this company. Our DJ was Rich who was incredibly easy to work with and had our party going all night long!
