Ive suffered with tinnitus for over 20 years. Dr. Novick and his team conducted comprehensive testing, explained so much about this condition, and offered several tools to help me understand my options. I am grateful for the care and education I received. Its really important to get a hearing test, and I feel it should be part of your self-care routine. The office is warm and welcoming too.

Besides being an extremely good doc, Dr Novick and her team truly values their patients time. In the 18 months since I became her patient, I have never had a delay for an appointment. I had my impressions done for my live performance in ear monitor.Right from the start, my experience was amazing. The appointment process was smooth and efficient. Why do I give Dr Marni Novick and her terrific staff (Vincent and Julia) a well-earned 5-star review?* Convenient Scheduling - I got an appointment within 2 weeks. Other larger operations (Sutter Health, Stanford) had lead times of 3-4 months.* Organized - Julia at the front desk immediately sent forms to fill out and checked with my insurance company to ensure they would pay for the exam. She detailed the costs upfront without my having to ask. She was efficient and personable.* Cordial - When I arrived in the office, Julia greeted me with a big smile. I waited less than 5 minutes.* Thorough - Vincent, Dr Marnis associate, asked me about my lifestyle and the noise environments I frequent (small groups, loud restaurants, etc). Dr Marni popped in to introduce herself.* Going the Extra Mile - Dr Marni examined my ears and found earwax despite my having had them flushed just 2 weeks previously (!) She very carefully and gently removed the wax so we could get the best possible test results. No extra charge!* Thorough Auditory Test - Vincent then administered a very thorough auditory exam which took the better part of an hour. Dr Marni was watching. She re-ran one test to pinpoint the type of hearing loss I had. Over and above service. This was not a cookie cutter operation. Throughout, it was a pleasant experience, with constant communication and encouragement.* Excellent communication and highly ethical - Dr Marni and Vincent immediately showed me the test results and we discussed next steps and options. At no time did I feel pressure to buy anything, and in fact, with my mild to moderate hearing loss, Dr Marni was suggesting the least costly options. She was more interested in what was best for her patient than in making money. She also was totally honest that hearing aids do not improve hearing loss. They amplify indistinct sounds so you can hear better, and interact with people better.* Efficient - Dr Marni quickly ran my credit card for the co-pay, made another appointment for 2 weeks hence, and I was on my way.SummaryI had an EXCELLENT experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.Im a musician and came in to get ear molds for custom IEMs to use as stage monitors.Dr. Novick is knowledgeable but down to earth and easy to follow. She understands the needs of musicians. The office staff is great too.After I was done Dr. Novick went above and beyond to help me with an issue related to my IEM order. She really seems to care about customer satisfaction. I will use this office again.

People who work here are rude and dumb!* I didnt ask for any treatment, just asking what therapy they offering at the clinic for tinnitus and the front desk assistant was speaking over me and didnt let me speak, what a bad listener! Also rude! Thats why their response below is still a misunderstanding. Next time listen to your patient first so you dont misunderstand. Im not a doctor I dont ask for treatment options or want to do things my way, thats an accusation! AGAIN. I WAS ASKING WHAT TYPE OF THERAPY THEY OFFER FOR TINNITUS. SIMPLE AS THAT BUT SHE ACTED LIKE HER HUSBAND LEFT HER FOR ANOTHER GIRL! Later I went on the website and the info is on there, nothing to do with safety! Next time just listen to the patient carefully and stop thinking about how much money she would want to make for her boss!

Needed some ear impressions made for custom musicians earplugs. I had already visited another audiologist not associated with Silicon Valley Hearing after waiting two weeks for an appointment, only to be told that I had too much wax buildup, and that I would first need to see a ENT specialist or another audiologist to have a cleaning performed before I could fit.Some more background: I was having the earplugs fit because I already suffer some pretty serious tinnitus, and am attending a three day concert series in the next couple months. I have tried standard, or stock earplugs, but due to the size and shape of my ear canals, they do nit work well for me. The custom earplugs seller warned a several weeks turn around time, or an expedited fee that exceeds the initial cost of the earplugs.I was able to get a prompt appointment, and the doctor was able to clean both ear canals with little time, or discomfort.She also offered that should I decide to try one of the products they carried in the future, she ovule be happy to help. There was no pressure or other negative influence about the plus I had already choose.Because of the attention to detail, professionalism, and good nature, I am now looking into cancelling my other order, and seeing if the doctor, and the product manufacturer for her ear plugs can meet my time constraints.Very great experience. I will return regardless if she can help with the new request. .

Ive seen Dr. Marnie as a patient for about two years. I do not recall who referred me to her, but I found her very knowledgeable. Perhaps, because she has been hearing impaired most of her life, she knows from personal experience the importance of hearing aides for functionality and comfort.My ear canals are not conducive to foreign objects, but she was willing to work with me, trying out 4 different types of custom moldings, until we found a pair that are totally comfortable and functional.I dont think any over-the-counter variety would have worked or that Costco would have spent the time customizing the fit.This is a classic case of you get what you pay for and has probably saved me money in the long run. I should have gone to Silicon Valley Hearing first when I got my initial hearing aids. I had a sense that something was wrong and the HAs were not set up properly. Dr. Novick showed me everything that was wrong with the original set up and is making new custom ear pieces for me so that the hearing aids stay in place, since I have a hard time keeping the HAs in place. She is very thorough and easy to communicate with. She really knows what she is doing and explains everything very carefully and clearly.

Dr. Novik is extremely caring, thorough, and professional while checking and diagnosing for my hearing condition. The staff is also extremely kind and helpful and they know their patients limitations with hearing. I had visited many audiologists before coming across Dr. Noviks facility. My first visit in 2020 to Silicon Valley Hearing has been life changing and I have never looked back since. She provided the best guidance and gave me a terrific hearing aid machine which is now enabling me both personally and professionally.

Dr. Novick is the best!She helped me select a terrific hearing aid and provided excellent advice on how to care for it. She also set up the connection from my hearing aid to my phone. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. It is a pleasure to return for regular checkups. And I know I can call at any time if I have questions or need assistance.Years ago, I visited a larger practice for a hearing test where I was passed along to less experienced staff. I very much like going to a smaller practice like Silicon Valley Hearing where I know I will always benefit from the firsthand experience of a true professional like Dr. Novick. Finding out I had hearing loss was devastating. But Dr. Marni Novick helped me to navigate the process as a supportive, insightful advisor.We figured out the degree of hearing loss, and what devices would best work for me. To complicate things, I am dealing with this hearing loss as I also deal with a significant traumatic brain injury. And so I have to ask her to repeat herself or teach me again and yet she is patient and kind as she teaches me how to steer myself into this new terrain. Shes also program the devices so the upper ceiling of sharp tones is reduced to help me cope with the concussion; shell reprogram it as we go. With her, I have a partner in navigating the healing and hearing journey.One thing. My Sutter-health team ENT recommended I use Costco for my hearing device purchase, quoting a much lower fee. What he didnt account for is my specific situation (TBI, etc) and what my needs were. He simply talked PRICE. I mention this because Im writing this review about VALUE.

Dr. Marni Novick is amazing at what she does. She is an amazing doctor and person. I highly recommend her treatment approach because she takes the whole person/ body/ experiences into consideration when diagnosing and suggesting remedies. I found Silicon Valley Hearing in Dr. Cliffs recommended network for audiologists who do best practices and this is one of the best decisions Ive made. Ive been going to an audiologist most of my life. Moved away from my beloved childhood one and starting going to SF audiology with very lackluster results. My first appointment confirmed that Dr. Marni is intelligent and caring. She took the time to listen to everything, asked questions, inform me of her process and how she arrived at decisions. I cannot recommend her enough!

Absolutely awesome service and advice from Dr. Novick. I google researched and watched many videos on Youtube before contacting Silicon Valley Hearing, Inc. She was the only audiologist in the Bay Area recommended by Dr. Cliff because she provides Real Ear Measurement for a comprehensive hearing evaluation (among other qualifications). You can find Dr. Cliff online and on Youtube for further research yourself.Dr. Novick not only was professional, she was also warm and friendly. I felt like she was an expert friend helping me find the best solution for my hearing issue. She was patient, a great listener and asked great questions as well. When my fist hearing aids were not working for me, she made every effort to find a solution that worked perfectly for me. Because of my unique circumstance I had to make quite a few visits to her office for evaluation, testing, fittings, more evaluations. Never once did I feel I was rushed.Would I recommend her to my friends and family? ABSOLUTELY!!

After three pairs of hearing aids (All the best available) over 10+ year I was fially fortunate to find Dr. Marni Novick. After my hearing test she knew in a few minutes what the issue was with what I had. The hearing aids at the time I purchased them were the best the fit was the problem for my hearing loss. Dr. Novick does the hearing test, the fit, & the adjustment herself! No hearing test by the AUD then handed off to the closer for a less than acceptable result. Dr. novick truly cares about the best for you. The professionalism & custmer service are eactly what I get from my concerige doctor. My new hearing experiance is truly life changing.

I have Menieres Disease and have reached appoint in hearing loss where even people who make an effort have become hard to hear and/or discriminate what they are saying. I was very impressed with Dr. Novick who is amazingly competent and actually can multi task very effectively. The entire experience was of the highest quality. Scheduling was accomplished easily, the preparation before hand included great directions, easy email contact providing paperwork to fill out conveniently at home, and not only being greeted on my early arrival but having the appointment start on time!! The hearing test was very complete and well explained. Marni made sure I was comfortable and could hear what I needed to hear. The process of selecting a device included looking at many samples with emphasis on recommendations and the clinical reason why those choices. She went through her thinking and made some phone calls to confirm certain capabilities to be certain of her recommendations. Dr. Marni Novick is outstanding! I have a profound hearing lost for 3+ years, so I have seen MANY audiologists. I originally went to see her because I was not satisfied with my hearing aid. I had great difficulty understanding friends & relatives in group social situations, because of the ambient noise. Conversations, when I was driving were impossible, because of the road noise & because I needed visual clues to help me (Had to watch the road/traffic while driving!). Dr. Novick suggested an alternative hearing aid that was able to utilize an accessory that eliminates the background and road noise. A miracle! She is knowledgeable, professional, enthusiastic, & really want to make you hear well with the most economic solution.

Dr Marni was my 4th stop on a journey of trying to find someone who would treat my Tinnitus with some concern instead of telling me there is no cure and theres nothing we can do. Through her in depth hearing tests she identified my frequencies and at what dB they were. She took the time to explain the anatomy so I was more clear on what was Tinnitus and perhaps more importantly what was NOT Tinnitus. She explained all the methods of treatment and how to learn to live with the condition, how to sleep better and how to handle the day to day experience. I hardly notice my Tinnitus today and Im sleeping so much better. Thank you Dr Marni, you are a blessing to anyone with Tinnitus.

The best place Ive gone for a hearing test.. Marni did a good job of assessing my condition, and special needs. I liked the speech test because it was recorded in the computer, so that ranking my comprehension could be quantified. She also showed me different choices for hearing aids, and I did not feel pressured. This was a much better experience than my previous test, and it gave realistic results.

Dr. Novick is one of a few audiologists in the Bay Area, who can diagnose auditory processing disorder in adults that still is rarely known and underdiagnosed condition. I have had this condition for 40+ years, and was diagnosed just recently. It was a life-changing experience.
