2024-06-26 22:01:45The people who work here are not friendly to everyone who comes in. There was one guy, I believe the owner of the shop, who was making rude jokes about my bike situation. They also do not give you a proper quote before fixing the bike. They also completely overcharged me for the work they did on my bike !! Horrible !

2024-06-15 07:30:36As a local resident of Agoura Hills, Im well aware of our thriving cyclist community. When my 7-year-old sons bike needed repairs, I was hesitant to bring it to Serious Cycling, fearing that I might be considered a low priority or overcharged for a minor issue. However, my experience with them was nothing short of impressive. 🕵🏼♀️From the moment I called to explain the problem with my sons bike, the staff at Serious Cycling was super friendly, approachable, and helpful. Unlike other shops that might avoid giving an estimate over the phone, they provided me with a ballpark number based on the information I provided. This transparency was refreshing and put me at ease. 🏁Upon bringing the bike to the shop, I was informed that they would try their best to work on it that day, but typically, its best to allow for a 48-hour turnaround. As I was in no immediate rush, this was perfectly acceptable. During my brief visit, I noticed that the shop was bustling with activity, catering to a diverse range of customers, from regulars to first-timers, all with varying needs for repairs and adjustments. To my surprise, I received a call just a few hours later, informing me that my sons bike was ready. The difference was like night and day. 🙌⚡️Whats more, when I arrived to pick it up, they noticed that the tire had gone flat. Without hesitation, they not only pumped air into it but also replaced the entire tire on the spot, even after I had already paid. 🔧This small gesture spoke volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff at Serious Cycling are honest, straightforward, and truly passionate about bikes. When I joked about being surprised at how quickly they had fixed my sons bike, considering Im small beans compared to their primary adult clientele, they swiftly commented that this is the age when the love for cycling starts. They were genuinely happy to help nurture that passion from a young age. 🏔️👦🏼🚲💨In conclusion, Serious Cycling in Agoura Hills has exceeded my expectations in every way. Their exceptional service, transparency, and dedication to their craft make them a valuable asset to our cyclist community, catering to riders of all ages and skill levels. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of bike repairs or assistance, regardless of whether youre a seasoned pro or just starting out.🏆🏆🏆

2024-04-05 04:39:58These guys are the best! Were from out of town doing some riding and my friends derailleur exploded. Took his bike over to Serious Cycling and they had the needed parts and fixed everything up (install new derailleur, chain, and replace broken spoke) while we waited. A vacation saver!

2022-02-10 04:54:22Seriously the best! First they take trade ins for pros closet, this gives customers options. I took my trade in Giant TCR, and they were great, took off my pedals, and swapped a tire for me for free. Then let me try all the bikes I wanted. Then sold me a great bike without any extra mark up. Got a Cervelo CaledoniaBig bonuses with Serious Cycling.Free bike fittingFree lifetime adjustmentsFree water bottlesAmazing serviceThis is a great place!

2024-01-23 20:44:28- This is the first place I go for bike service.- Theyve saved my weekend ride several times, last minute mechanicals, staying late to finish, helping on the spot...theyve done it all to keep me riding.- Best experience yet was a tri bike fit with Brian to fix an old fit from a different shop. I was uncomfortable and had a hard time sustaining power in aero. Brian dialed me in and Im feeling better than Ive ever felt on the tri bikeWhatever your bike needs, I definitely recommend giving these guys a try

2022-05-09 01:01:32I do really like this store, both the Agoura and the Northridge locations, and almost all of the staff is always super helpful and friendly, despite the fact that I may not appear to be their target market as far as cyclists are concerned, I probably weigh nearly twice what most Serious Cyclists do (and not from too much time in the gym).I would have rated five stars, but about two to two and a half weeks ago, I had a fairly disappointing experience at the Northridge store. I showed up hoping to take a look at some of the stock of Dogma F frames they had. Upon inquiring, they did have one in my size, which I had been made aware of previously by an employee at the Agoura store, but I did not know if it had sold already. I was hoping to just see some of the frames, maybe take a look at the color and see if I could convince myself it would be worth it, but sadly it was not at either of the store locations, but in their warehouse. Thats no big deal, the issue I had, was that I didnt feel like I was taken very seriously by the employee who helped me. He seemed shocked at my first question about Dogma F availability, and that I was interested in one, which in and of itself wouldnt be bad, but it wasnt just surprise and its over, it seemed to continue to puzzle him why I might be interested in such an aggressive and expensive frame. Following this, he more or less told me nothing else was coming, but they had the black and red frame I knew about, and I had explained to him the two colors I had any interest in. Despite feeling talked down to somewhat, I was ok with the way he handled most of the conversation. The part that bothered me the most was some kind of bizarre sales tactic, where he explained to me that I should probably just settle for whatever color I can get my hands on because Ill probably be waiting many many months and even if I did wait until the estimated arrival date, it probably wouldnt show up based on how the bike industry has been going. My first problem is, fear mongering is a really weird sales tactic, and most people who are spending more on their bike than their car, probably have some idea of availability elsewhere as well. I had one (the color and size I wanted) preordered to arrive in early August, and I was fairly confident it would arrive around then, if not much later. The salesman there even told me, there are often delays, but not usually more than a couple weeks if anything. He set me up for the possibility, but didnt try to act like it was never going to show up. The second thing is, telling someone who just told you that they are only specifically interested in two of the colorway options, that he should probably just settle for whatever he can get his hands on right now, sounds like a sales tactic used to lure the kind of customer that they never expect to have to deal with again, because they are just buying the bike as a way to have some kind of bragging rights in their circle, and not someone who cares about the bike he plans to put over 6,000 miles a year on. While that may not be much mileage to a serious cyclist, its a significant amount for me, and for pretty much any cyclist above a weekend rider. As it turns out, another shop who didnt even think they could get it for me soon, but called Pinarello anyway just in case, ended up getting EXTREMELY lucky, because Pinarello had just built one for another shop that cancelled that order, and offered it to them if they wanted it, since an interested customer said he would buy it if it arrived. Well, I picked up my Crystal White Dogma F in size 56 yesterday. I would imagine Serious Cycling has some decent clout with Pinarello, since they sell quite a number of their bikes, which gives me the impression they could have done the exact same thing for me. Maybe it just seemed easier to sell me whatever was in stock, than try to make a phone call to help a serious customer. Ive always appreciated how Serious Cycling, that caters to very serious racers, treated me well also usually. But this trip was very disappointing.

2020-05-22 21:58:44Always a pleasure walking into this shop, whether for a new bike, repairs, parts, gear or just to stare at bikes I cant afford. They have helped fix my bike several times during a crazy busy season and go above and beyond every time. When youre here you really feel like family. Thanks guys for being so awesome!!

2021-01-20 21:12:05Super impressed with the expertise and attention to detail this bicycle shop provided. A new bike purchase is as simple as buying a new pair of socks for some us and it is a large investment with others. The staff recognized this was a large investment for me and took every measure to ensure I was comfortable walking out of the door with my new ride. I am grateful and highly recommend them. Thank you Grace and Bryan

2018-12-05 00:49:38I have visited this shop a few times and have had consistently excellent service. Today, I called needing a bit of advice on a used bike that I purchased from my coach. Though Serious Cycling wasnt involved in the bike purchase whatsoever, Brian took a few minutes to listen to my issue and provided excellent advice that solved my issue. This experience mirrors my time spent at the shop, where Ive rented from their excellent Pinarello rental bikes while traveling in the area. Their staff took the time to fit the bike properly to me, and provided ride suggestions in the hills west of the shop. Thank you, guys!
