We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around the area. The manager was super friendly and that definitely helped draw us in. I’m so glad we are here because the food was SO good. Even my son loved their kids menu (and had a cookie for dessert). They said it might be up to 25 min and I think we got our food within 10-15 minutes. It also had a beautiful ambiance and it turns out everyone who was worked there was friendly, not just the manager we initially met. We felt so welcome and it also certainly helped the food was top notch. The chicken was so flavorful and good, not everyone can make lemon chicken taste so good. The Mac n cheese was also to die for. But really nothing was even close to being boring or bad. Everyone I went with was so pleased with their food and can’t wait to come here again!

Ambience and service were great.Was looking forward to lunch here, but their specialties were out due to some issue. Had to settle with pizzas, chicken salad and Moroccan chicken burger.The calibrian chili oil served as extra helped with the flavor on pizza.Loved the salad. The burger was ok. Sellands is our go to restaurant for lunch and dinner. The place is always clean and packed with happy customers. The staff is professional and courteous. Its ideally located overlooking the pond and the common area. And of course the food... the food is some of the best weve found for miles around. In particular their salads, soups and the pepperoni feta and Olive pizza are to die for! Theyre seating inside and on the patio. The patio is dog friendly.

Chicken, bacon, arugula, jalapeno pizza was excellent, but the tuna melt lacked pizzazz. Service was excellent, music was a little loud for such a wide open, noisy space. Great spot though, would have sat outside if it hadnt been so windy. Will eat here again.

This place is so petty. I ordered a salad & asked for no spinach & then the salad comes out with spinach. So the guy with a pony tale offered romaine & I said sure can we throw tomatoes & cucumbers on it & he replied sure brings me a plain lettuce salad & proceeds to tell me if I want tomatoes & cucumber he will need to charge me more now. Come on I just spent $30.00 on a bowl of soup & plain lettuce & a Diet Coke.

First time stopping by Selland’s Market all Dorado Hills location. Have eaten at the H St location many times are over the years and are big fans of the Broadway location. We used to go to the original Kitchen back in the day on special locations. Today we had just attended the baptism of a friends baby girl and decided to stop for an early dinner. We found a nice table outside in the sun and sampled several items from their diverse menu to include the carrot ginger soup, goat cheese and apple greens salad with chicken, Mac and Cheese, Greek salad with feta, meatloaf sandwich with cheddar cheese, salted caramel cookies and a chocolate chip brownie cookie washed down with cold, crisp pale ale. The Goddess loved her soup and salad. The meatloaf was tasty as ever. My favorite was the incredible salted caramel cookies and the cold beer!

Aside from a kale dish I dont see any more, they produce great tasting food no matter what you order (the kale dish was over salted and noticed this more at EDH location, Broadway location was good). If you like Sangria, theirs is a MUST HAVE!!! It is beyond great. Broadway and EDH are my fav locations and have very nice patio areas.

BEBACK Rating- You bet!We have made the Regal Theatre close to Sellands our favorite place to watch a movie, eventhough we are not El Doradoans. So we naturally would look for a place to dine close by. Weve been stopping by here a few times already as the food is usually tasty and I get this feeling that almost everything is prepared at the location and not from Sysco or another food factory(not saying they are bad, just focusing on my preference for freshly made food).And I love any place that can offer choices from a chicken dish to pizza, along with awesome desserts. The workers have been pleasant and welcoming at our every visit thus far. The dining area looks clean and has a friendly informal appeal, also.I hope theyre always here for a good place to eat before or after a movie!

Good place to grab a quick bite to eat. I had a tuna melt sandwich and a Mac and cheese bowl while my girlfriend had a salad. She liked her salad as it tasted fresh and crunchy. On the other hand, my tuna melt seemed a but dry and my Mac and cheese wasnt creamy but more on the chunky side. Perhaps it was due to the fact that it was close to closing hours. Ive had food there before and it was great. Overall, the ambiance and customer service was great.

Bad experience today and will not be returning. Mediocre food with bad service. Added pickles and jalapeños on the side ( and paid extra for them) when the server came out i asked for mySides, she replied they’re on your burger. I continued to ask for some on the side sinceThat’s what i ordered… she rolled her eyes in irritation and walked away to get them. Absolutely rude and terrible service . Do better.

This place is so delicious and has great customer service! We walked in 30 minutes to close and were greeted within seconds. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. This place is tasty and has vegan and vegetarian options. It indicates allergy accommodations (what is or can be gluten free or dairy free for example) BUT it is an active bakery too so it basically makes the CYA we cant guarantee statement. I am allergic to gluten and dairy and have so far been okay but its a risk. They have tasty drinks like tahitian vanilla lemonade. Atmosphere is fun but can be very busy and seating is first come first serve, making large parties difficult especially when outside seating is not an option due to weather.Price is the only thing that deters me from coming here except for special occasions. The add on tiny salmon was $9.75 for example, making the salad with protein over $15. Yikes. Tasty, but pricey.

So disappointed, my wife and I dined here tonight, we both ordered the BLTA, we learned they dont toast the bread and the sourdough was very stale, literally crumbling apart as we were eating. They put two, maybe three slices of bacon if that, one tomato slice, avocado and alot of lettuce...$30 for 2. I asked one of the employees behind the counter; you dont toast the bread?, he replied no we dont but we give you avocado... I also advised him the bread was stale, he said I can toast the bread for you however we already began eating the sandwich (with mayo) so at this point was not clear how that would address the issue. My wife and I have frequented this establishment since they opened in EDH, unfortunately for the owner(s), we will not be returning.

Our absolute favorite local restaurant. The food is insanely good! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Im always a little skeptical when a restaurant serves food cafeteria style, but Sellands does it well. Their salads are fresh and exactly what you want out of a salad and there is no shortage of menu options. We had the Sunday spaghetti bolognese yesterday which was decent. Not a huge spaghetti fan myself so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I wouldnt order it again.

The perfect alternative to in-n-out and other pit stop, fast food chains. We arrived at sunset and couldn’t but be enchanted by the charm of the place. Pleasant café with bright and light environment, loud, as all their places seem to be, with trademark straightforward american style food offerings. Helpful and professional staff provide service at the counters. Read the wall-mounted menus and order at the counters. Take a number, find your own seating. On fine weather days, go outside to the patio where you can gaze upon the pretty man-made lake and, hopefully, some migrating birds. Stop on your way to Lake Tahoe or, as I did this time, drive up from Sacramento just for brunch or lunch.

The menu structure is opaque. It takes a while for anyone to approach a new customer. Then it feels very inconvenient to walk across the restaurant again from the display to the register and back to check on ones order.The food here has very high quality ingredients but not quite right. There were crunchy, hard bits of vegetables that needed proper trimming, it felt like chewing dirt. The lemon chicken breast was very dry in the thicker portions of the serving. The Teriyaki chicken thigh was juicy and enjoyable but there was not quite enough umami for what I expect of the dish, overly sweet. The kids pizza is huge, a personal size and cheaper would be more appropriate.The whole place smells of cured pork and it was initially overwhelming to my son.

Pros: this place has great selection of gluten & dairy free desserts (comparatively because most places have absolutely NONE) and the prices are reasonable, atmosphere is nice and they have a LOVELY patio overlooking the EDH Town Center fountain (but the patio isnt currently open to my knowledge)Cons: like 90% of their salads contain some sort of cheese - I wish this was something they could add afterwards as an option rather than mixing it in. A very good variety of food to pick from. The environment makes you feel like you are in the family dining room and the kitchen is right beside. The noise, lighting, furniture all create the atmosphere that you are at home with food to complete the image. No table service as you have to order at the register and seating is very limited inside, especially during peak hours. It does take longer than one may expect as quality food tends to be prepared by hand and large crowds at peak times order.

The food is not as good as it is priced. if you order a Burger you have to order the fries completely separate which is just nickel and diming everything. You end up with a 23$ burger.

Went for an early dinner with a friend at 4pm on a Monday. I normally like this place but we didnt have a good experience. There were only a couple people in there. I think because of the time of day. We stood for several minutes waiting to place our order while employee after employee walked right past us like we were invisible. No acknowledgement that we were standing there or anything. Finally after about 4 minutes, someone took our order. The girl had trouble swiping my debit card and ended up charging me double for my salad. I had to call the next day to ask that it be reversed. When the server brought our salads we asked about silverware and he pointed to a table where we could go and get it. I guess I knew you had to pick up your own silverware but forgot. But they were not busy at all and a good server would have fetched it for us as a courtesy. Not a big deal, but just shows they dont have that special customer service awareness. The salads we ordered were predominantly all kale and less lettuce. It was just okay. Seems like this place is slipping a bit. I dont remember having such experiences like this before. Might give it one more try but if the experience is similar, probably wont go again.

The El Dorado hills location is my favorite. Great ambianceI really enjoy their dinner for two specials.Food wise, the worried wood fired pizza is so good because its packed with fresh flavors and the crust is just right. The vegetarian lasagna is good, too. I like their desserts here.Its a fun place to eat fresh food. The wine selection is small but good.

I just want give I shout out to the employees working so hard at Selland’s today during the art and wine festival. We stopped because we were starving at the busiest time of the day. The service was excellent and we ordered sandwiches and three wood fired pizzas. A combination, margarita and one that was chicken, bacon, goat cheese, jalapeños and arugula. Everyone even the ones who had ordered sandwiches had to try the three pizza’s, they were absolutely awesome. Especially the later of the three, an unexpected phenomenon. You guys are fantastic. Sellands is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. Partly because it has got a great location/views of the town center. Service is always quick and friendly. But also the food is always delicious. I am one of those people that likes tuna and I come here for both the cold and hot versions of their tuna sandwich, paired with one of their pasta salads on the side. I have tried other dishes here and never been disappointed. Also if youre up for dessert, they have a nice selection of baked goods to choose from.

Most of the food is pretty good, but something needs to be done about the tuna sandwich! For $13 (with zero sides) you would expect they would use high quality solid white tuna. But they use lower quality chunk light tuna, its fishy and not very good at all! Time to step it up, Sellands, and use better ingredients.... the prices you charge are for high quality products so please stop skimping!

Very nice cafe in EDH. Very friendly workers so customer service was great. The sandwich and salads ordered were great tasting, and the decor is totally cute. You can dine in, or take outside to the totally cute patio; that overlooks the pond/lake in the shopping center. Pretty, good ambiance, nice people. Parking is more difficult, but if you are patient and dont mind walking with stairs, youre set!

Went for lunch. It was empty at 11 am at opening time on a weekday but quickly filled up by 11:30 with a line at the cashier by this time. Food was great. Tender brisket and solid mac & cheese. Asian chicken salad was the right balance of flavors with the chicken shredded, which we liked. The tuna banh mi was also quite good though the bread was nearly burnt. There are pitchers of water with lemon slices complementary as well as an assortment of soft drinks and wines available for sale. Customer service is usually really good. The food is good most of the time. My wife and I go here for the two for 25 deal. dinner for two with a bottle of wine for 25 bucks is a heck of a deal. The dessert is also good, I love their cakes and their creme brulee.We go here a lot and we have definitely noticed that near the end of the night the food is definitely not as good. We try and go early to ensure that our food is as fresh as it can be. So if it is close to closing time I would not recommend going there unless you are getting dessert.

It can get somewhat loud and crowded as the tables are close to each other.Food and service are great. I have been to Sellands more than ten times in the last three years the food has been very good this visit I had the Sunday Brunch American Breakfast the scrambled eggs where not over cooked (dryed out) and the bacon and sausage were just right l will be back again .

Cant beat their catering options and they have an amazingly delicious standard menu. Staff are extremely courteous and are always more than happy to work with you on special requests or requirements.

Delicious healthy food. I had cottage pie with a side of roast broccoli, and my friend had a French Dip. Chocolate mousse pie for dessert. Would definitely return.

We were very disappointed with their cheese lasagne. Mostly pasta; could not taste the cheese. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can! The pasta was dry and the top was burned. YUCK!
