Such a great experience ! Not afraid to give you notes that make your tape way better. I was very comfortable and she does her work on know the lines and stage directions so your time is not wasted. Will be back!

So detailed, Upasana treats my audition like her top priority during, before and after my appointment.I booked 2 supporting roles 2 months apart while working with her. I highly recommend Select Self Tape .. Pricing is very fair. Select Self Tape underpromises and overdelivers..

I’ll start with the bookings that have come my way through working with Upasana - first the big one: a series regular for a Showtime pilot! We worked on that from initial audition, to callbacks, all the way to booking! She was in it with me all the way, asking questions, challenging me and just always bringing that energy that makes everything fun! I’ve booked CS:Vegas, an Army commercial, a MoCap gig for 2K, and every time has been a joy! Upasana jumps in with you and SHE CARES!! She delivers quickly, too! So important when you have to meet deadlines! I love working with her and, I have no doubt, you will, too!!

I instantly had a connection with Upasana, the lady who runs Select Self Tapes. She’s incredibly professional and honest and fun! This place checks every single box - great lighting, camera set up, availability and most importantly a talented reader. Since I’ve been coming here I have been put on avail and booked multiple times from my self tapes. Highly recommend this place!

Upasana did a really great job with my audition tape. The sound and lighting was first notch (there are acoustic tiles in the room to ensure great sound, something I havent seen in any other self tape places) but where she REALLY shines is giving redirection. As an award-winning film director/actor herself I must say how she helped me shape my performance really helped. AND i GOT THE GIG!!!! THANKS Ill be back. Never realized this would actually help my performance too. Thank you so much. P.S. Thanks for fitting me in on Boxing Day at no extra cost too!!!!! You really saved my bacon.UPDATE 2022Another great audition with Upasana today. Lighting seems to have got even better. Thanks a lot Upas! Upasana is a delight! She is incredibly accommodating while also being very dedicated to providing a COVID-safe space for working actors who prefer to submit self-tapes filmed by a professional. Upasana also has very valuable feedback to offer should you wish to flesh out character choices or different interpretations of the script. I live on the east side and am thrilled to find someone out here who is so affordable, professional, experienced and supremely pleasant.

The sound quality is poor. There’s a window in the room, so the sound from outside is getting into the recording. In my scene you can hear the leaf blower from the gardener outside, despite of Upasana assured me that she would edit it and take it off.In other studios I get my material one hour (at the most) if not right after my session. She charges $5 for rushed, which is not a biggie, but that information in not in the website, she just told me that when she was sliding my credit card in her phone.She delivered the link with my material by text, despite of I sent her my email address again. I found This kind of unprofessional.That’s my experience with select self tapes.

Terrific experience. Along with recording the audition Upasana gives the actor someone to play off of when reading. Also gives excellent feedback and adjustments.
