I’ve been going to Dr. Nikravan for just about a year. I love this doctor. He is amazing. He discovered two nodules on my thyroid gland by doing a scan in his office. He is also adjusting my medication to the exact right dose. Their bloodwork test are in depth. If you are having concerns, I highly recommend, this doctor.

This was my first time at the office and the staff was so kind and patient and thorough. I had a lot of issues to discuss and I never felt rushed or felt like the PA or Doctor weren’t listening to my concerns. I’ll be honest, I read some reviews on the office before I went and a lot of them weren’t very nice reviews. However, I do not have one single negative thing to say about my experience yesterday and I have already scheduled a future appt to follow up with the office.

This facility seems more focused on profit than patient care. My experiences all three times have been mediocre at best. The first time, they forgot to book my appointment and didnt return my multiple calls until I showed up in person. The front desk staff seems to be more like yes-men with little knowledge. During each appointment, I felt rushed, and their solution was generic sleeping pills. Its alarming that they prescribe without fully understanding the patients needs. They pressure you to pay for a concierge service where you end up spending more money just to be ignored and given pills, which feels like a cash grab. Adding to the frustration, they canceled my appointment and wanted to charge me a cancellation fee because I couldnt pay my copay beforehand. Ive reported them several times and hope they enjoy an audit.

We met with Dr. Nikravan’s PA-C, Ms. Huynh, for my daughter yesterday, and I was extremely impressed. She was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and she did an amazing job explaining everything for us. She was familiar with my daughter’s labs & radiology reports that I had previously provided and asked helpful questions which showed she cared. My daughter liked her very much too. Ms. Huynh provided outstanding care for my child.

Dr Sean Nikravan is a true physician. He exemplifies the reason you should see a doctor on a regular basis. He cares about you as much you should care about yourself. Will he always tell you what you want to hear? Unfortunately not. However at least you will understand the medically sound reasoning behind his advice. I came from Hong Kong expecting treatment but leave LA/OC with the knowledge to make decisions for the future guided by Dr Sean’s sensible caring wisdom. Thank you Dr Nikravan and your whole staff!

Finding Dr Nikravan was a life changing moment. Not every endocrinologist is specialized in the Thyroid, let alone Hashimotos. After a year of feeling so lost at my former Endo, I found Dr Nikravan and even on a telehealth call he was able to read my labs and had me stop everything (except the Synthroid). He then brought me in and did an ultrasound on a nodule on my thyroid that was causing me to choke, snore, etc. with a laser he ablated a very large nodule and even in a few months after I stopped snoring, stopped choking, felt hopeful. He changed up my thyroid medicine (switched to Armour) and all things began to change - including my body! I have more energy and feel like a “normal” person. I lost a significant amount of weight, my labs are coming back balanced - first time in ever! I am so thankful for the knowledge and treatments offered by Dr Nikravan. I will forever have Hashimotos but know I won’t spiral again without the help of this practice. There’s hope!

My experience with Dr Nikravan and his team has been experience every step of the way. I received a thyroid RFA treatment from him 1 year ago for which I needed to travel 1000s of miles to have done. His team has worked with me to provide me remote follow-up options for all my post-procedure ultrasound checks etc. Dr Nikravan himself was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful... as was his PA. I felt safe receiving this procedure from them. And my results have been better than expected, Im very happy to say. Thank you very much to Dr Nikravan and his team!

I started seeing Dr. Nikravan a year ago for my right and left thyroid nodules. He first did Radio Frequency Abilation (RFA) for my right thyroid nodule last year and on my one year anniversary the results are very satisfying and I am very grateful to Dr. Nikravan. I was a candidate for RFA for my thyroid nodule one visit and the second visit he dismisses me and says he cant do it and to just go do surgery. This doctor is very unprofessional. He cleverly extracted money by saying he needs his own biopsy and ultrasound when I already did that. If you are desperate to RFA your thyroid nodule please go find another doctor. I heard from his former patients that he does a half job of ablating your thyroid nodule so it can grow back and he can ablate it again. He desperately needs more money. Very very shady practice.

Dr. Nikravan. If your looking for an office who cares about their patients you came to the WRONG PLACE, Dr. Nikravan is money hungry and his staff is horrible. Be prepared to be charged an up front $200 per year to be a patient. This is outside of your normal co-pays. Be prepares that this office will NOT follow through with your prescriptions getting refilled or even ordered. Overall, very poor care, quality, and very disappointing.Tiffany PA left and I can see why. She will be missed.Thank you.

Doctor is really nice and professional. Doctor is also willing to work with you if you any problem after procedure. On the other hand, don’t buy their policy. If they ask you to pay everything up front even though they are in-network. More than likely, you won’t not only get your money back from insurance, you will have to fight for your hard earned money for an extended period of time. According to California department of insurance, they are not allow to ask patients to pay their bills when they are using their insurance. I lost $7500 and it was too much money for me to learn my lesson.

This was my first time and I was very impressed with how through they were! I brought them full labs from my regular Doctor and he wanted to do even more testing on my endocrine system and a heart scan. They also did a full thyroid scan in office to see how healthy my thyroid gland looked because I have Hashimoto’s Thyroid Disease. It feels good to have a specialist working with me and to have a baseline in case of future changes!

The office staff are all great. My appointment was on time. Dr Nikravan is knowledgeable though he does not listen when I speak. He comes in and is so focused on what he wants to do he does not hear the patient. I even said lots has happened since I saw you last. He never did address what had taken place, he just started in on the ultrta sound and speaking to his MA/Scribe almost like I was a mannequin he was doing a procedure on. If he had personal skills (not asking for him to be friendly, simply to acknowledge a human is in the chair) he could be amazing.

A year ago, I underwent a thyroid radiofrequency ablation (RFA) with Dr. Nikravan, and I am beyond grateful for the remarkable results and the outstanding care I received throughout the entire process. Even though I currently live in Maryland, I made the decision to fly to California to have Dr. Nikravan as my doctor. I decided to go with Nikravan because he was one of the only specialists I consulted that wanted to help preserve my thyroid rather than immediately recommending to have it removed and be on medication for the rest of my life.From the initial consultation to the post-surgery follow-ups, Dr. Nikravan, PA Tiffany and his entire staff were absolute professionals. Dr. Nikravans thoroughly explained what to expect during and after the procedure and made me feel at ease.At 12 months post-op my goiter, which made me self-consciousness, has been reduced by almost 80%. Dr. Nikravan and his staff are top notch. Im a 34yr old male who has always been active and in great health. This past year I ran into some health issues for the first time in my life and it really caught me by surprise. I researched doctors for quite some time and came across Dr Nikravan, his reviews were outstanding and he has certainly lived up to them. He always takes his time to listen and comes up with a plan that is best for you and your situation. He wasnt quick to prescribe drugs that are permanent, as in my case most doctors would. He took an approach that best suited me and my future health. Another thing I really appreciated is that he was up front and explained from the beginning that my symptoms wont go away overnight, it will be a playbook that we will have to keep adjusting and working at. I have been a patient of Dr. Nikravan for well over 20 years. I have recommended four other family members to him in the last 2 years and they are more than pleased to be under his care. Recently I had a relative in need of immediate intervention due to thyroid problem. This person was unable to get an appointment in a timely manner in todays medical world. At my request to Dr. Nikravan, he was more than happy to fit her into his busy schedule and was able to treat this individual the very next day. He performed an ultrasound in his office and fortunately this new patient was immediately put on the proper treatment. We were both very grateful for his professional and caring response. The office staff our wonderful, caring and respectful to their patients. I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Dr. Nikravan and his team, and boy, did they restore my faith in the medical world! Picture this: I had been bouncing from one Endocrinologist to another, going absolutely nowhere. I was even considering getting my thyroid removed by a fancy hospital up in Northern California. But just in the nick of time, I snagged an appointment with Dr. Nikravan. I needed to know if Thyroid RFA was an option before going under the knife for a full-on Thyroidectomy.Let me tell you, that first appointment was the epitome of thoroughness. Dr. Cheng must have studied more notes than a med student during finals week, summarizing everything perfectly for Dr. Nikravan to understand my situation. And the best part? I never once felt like Dr. Nikravan was trying to sell me on the RFA just to line his pockets. He straight-up admitted that some patients choose surgery instead, and if that was the case, hed only refer me to the best surgeon out there so they wouldnt create more work for Dr. Nikravan. Now thats what I call having your back! Its such a relief to finally find an endo who doesnt see me as another walking dollar sign.After weighing all the options and getting the cancer all-clear, I decided to go the thyroid RFA route. Last Friday, I had the procedure, which lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes. And let me tell you, the moment it was done, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my throat. I had a nodule on my thyroid that was slowly turning my breathing and eating tubes into a funhouse maze. But as soon as the pressure was released, I experienced a sensation I hadnt felt in over 7 years! Its like my body threw a welcome party for normality.Of course, this is just the beginning of my journey, and I promise to write a more detailed review once the entire treatment is complete. But I couldnt resist sharing my initial impressions. Dr. Nikravan has to be one of the most brutally honest doctors Ive ever met. He genuinely cares about his patients and gives them all the information they need to make an educated decision. Kudos to his amazing team, including the incredibly responsive Melissa, who helped me deal with those insurance company shenanigans. With Dr. Nikravan at the helm, I finally feel like my condition is in extremely capable hands.Oh, did I mention I live in Northern California, and it takes me a solid 6 hours and 30 minutes to drive to Dr. Nikravan? But hey, for this level of care, Id gladly make that journey any day of the week. Move over, road trip—thyroid wellness awaits!

I wish I had met Dr. Sean Nikravan earlier. He is one of the best Endocrinologist in the present time . My experience with my thyroid fluctuating between hypo and hyperthyroidism created a havoc in my health. All the other 3 doctors I saw before couldn’t bring about any resolution to it. The last resort to deal with my ongoing condition was to take out the thyroid gland. Before going ahead with it I was suggested to consult Dr. Nikravan by a friend. He not only attentively listened to my concerns but asked to give him a 18 month period to stabilize my thyroid. He was extremely confident and very positive about my case. Looking at his confidence I decided to go ahead with his line of treatment. He not only minutely follows your case but also cares to see how one does with the ongoing treatment. For almost a year I felt horrible. My family doctor could not pinpoint what was wrong with me. No truth to their data collection and management policies. The lady at the front desk was a little rude. I’m a man of being kind and respectful to others. My first time there, (new patient) I was uninformed that my copay was going to be collected before seeing the doctor. My copay for that place was $200. Someone that works there should have told me this before coming to my appointment or at least the copay is collected upfront. $200 is steep because most places are $50 copay with my insurance. Anyways, normally I would have paid it, but I just had a kid and money is tight with my lady on maternity leave. I do not recommend this place. I usually give most places good reviews too.

Im so happy that my primary care doctor (Dr. Justin Liao) referred me to Dr Nikravan when he discovered a large nodular growth on my thyroid. I love that I could go to one office and get every test done on the spot. I have been seeing Dr. Nikravan for 2-3 years, and have to say I am really grateful to have him managing my health. I see him about every 6 months. My previous doctor never performed an ultrasound on my thyroid. When Dr. Nikravan performed this procedure, he found a potential issue on my thyroid, resulting in the need for a biopsy. Although I was extremely nervous, he was very empathetic yet straightforward, which I really appreciated. I love that he can not only do the ultrasound in his office, but he can also do the biopsy procedure right there, too. He knew I had just had a baby when this all happened, and could sense my desire to receive results quickly. He put a rush on my test and I received a call from his office the next day saying the biopsy results came back negative. Im writing this review because I remember a little over two years ago reading them before calling the office to schedule my husband to see Dr. Nikravan. I was encouraged by the positive experiences others had, and we were desperate for help at the time. My husband has been a diabetic since he was 8 years old, but suddenly there were greater concerns. He was losing weight rapidly, his breathing was terrible, he was fatigued all the time. He was 27 at the time, and this was not normal. We had seen multiple doctors in and outside of the HOAG system- we faced more questions than answers and were mostly shrugged away. The day we sat down with Dr. Nikravan and were introduced to his practice, we were relieved for the first time in a very long time. He listened to us- carefully. He ran labs that day, in his office. He answered my many questions and had the knowledge to run the correct tests that got us started on what has been an enormous journey. My husband received a pretty rare, life altering diagnosis with a grim prognosis that most physicians know nothing about. Dr. Nikravan advocated for us in a way I did not know any medical doctor would do, and helped us to see one of the best specialists in the world for his disease. I will tell anyone that will listen that Dr. Nikravan saved his life, and I am forever so grateful. Throughout the process of a stem cell transplant, his services were extraordinarily helpful to me in keeping all of the doctors on the same page with his care. To do this on my own would have been close to impossible at the time, but in a way he helped me feel empowered to take charge where I needed to. In addition to all of this, I watched the way my husband managed his type 1 diabetes completely change for the better. Right away, he was introduced to some technology that has completely changed his life in that area. I have been a patient of Dr. Nikravans for over 10 years. I moved out of the area, but still travel over 350 miles to see him. The reasons why I will only see Dr. Nikravan are many. Every visit he carefully reviews with me the history and status of the two thyroid nodules we are monitoring. He conducts the ultrasounds himself in his office and gives me immediate feedback on the shape, size, and characteristics of the nodules, along with an explanation. He also conducts biopsies in his office and ensures I am comfortable, relaxed, and have a full understanding of the procedure. He calls himself with the biopsy results as soon as they are in. Literally the most thorough and methodical endocrinology appointment I’ve ever had. Dr. Nikravan is very focused on helping you to reach optimal health using non invasive methods. I had 2 thyroid nodules, one large in size. He highly recommended to do the RFA procedure. The biopsy leading up to the RFA was very uncomfortable and tender afterwards for a week. However Dr. Nikravan followed up to make sure I was OK. Then during the RFA procedure it was uncomfortable to say the least, but post procedure healing was very manageable with a moderate amount of tenderness for 2 days. After that, great! 3 months post and my nodules are 84%smaller with hopes of continuing to decrease in the next 3 months. Dr. Nikravan is an experienced and highly knowledgeable endocrinologist. I found his practice in 2019 through searching online for physicians to treat my thyroid nodules which had been growing since 2015 and leading to neck compression and pain. Dr. Nikravan introduced me to radio frequency ablation (RFA) which is a minimally invasive technology that can shrink nodules without damaging normal thyroid tissues and without leaving a surgical scar. The results are amazing, shrinking the nodule by 76% in one year! I cant feel it any more.I still regularly go to see Dr. Nikravan as he offers the convenience of in-office neck ultrasound diagnosis and lab work. His staffs are friendly and well trained. I first sought out the help of Dr. Nikravan after being mistreated by a naturopath for the last year, not to mention the past several Endocrinologists who failed me before that. I had been put on oral steroids that I shouldve never been on, twice the amount of thyroid hormone needed, and completely ignored as far the symptoms I was complaining about. He asked questions and ordered tests such as lab work and a MRI scan. Excellent experience with Dr. Nikravan. After 15 years as a type 2 diabetic, my blood glucose and triglycerides are finally under control as a result of new medications, diet supplements and lifestyle changes prescribed by Dr. Nikravan under his dynamic monitoring program. Changes that usually take 3 months were accomplished in 7 weeks, with more improvement expected.

I am writing a very positive evaluation of Dr. Sean Nikravan, an endocrinologist in Newport Beach. For the past two years he has treated my husband, who is also a physician.My husband presented to him with type two-diabetes which was out of control on an oral medication. He had also just been treated for bladder cancer after bleeding for 14 months before it was finally discovered—as a result, he was in renal failure. He was, in addition, in liver failure because of high doses of a medication given to suppress potentially fatal abnormal heart rhythms. His heart was being treated by his cardiologist. He has had heart failure since 1991 following a severe heart attack.Dr Nikravan took on this complex task and I am happy to say that the renal and liver failure have been completely resolved and his diabetes is in excellent control with the use of insulin instead of oral medications. Dr. Nikravan has been extremely compassionate and superbly competent in treating my husband’s complex problems. We whole heartedly recommend him. Jeanne Goodin

Dr. Nikravan is the best endocrinologist I have ever seen. He is not only great at his specialty, but he is kind, thorough and helpful. He takes time to listen, and makes you feel like a person he really cares about helping. His staff is wonderful too!I have had Hashimotos Thyroditis/ hypothyroidism for over 10 years and have never had an endocrinologist ultrasound my thyroid during the visit or have my bloodwork conveniently (and gently) taken during the visit in a lab inside the office. Dr. Nikravan was able to go over my ultrasound right then and there! It was amazing!As a result, he eased my concern about my thyroid showing up on an X-ray and MRI report of my C-spine noting/describing my thyroid nodule. He could see that it was actually scar tissue from the Hashimotos autoimmune process and not a nodule that endocrinologists have been monitoring since my diagnosis! One that Ive had biopsied 2x!Dr. Nikravan also offered me a unique treatment plan for my hypothyroid symptoms that no other endocrinologist has offered. Other endocrinologists made me feel crazy when they would say my thyroid hormone levels were within range when I told them I was having my typical hypo symptoms.. However, they still offered to increase my medicine if I wanted. Good thing I didnt, because my TSH is fluctuating and where it is now, the increased dose could have had devastating consequences.I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Nikravan!
