Tim came in and immediately stated where he suspected the problem was. 4 other companies stated the had a hunch but no other info. Tim called the owner Scott and we all discussed options. A high pressure test with a service call was $500 but doing anything else seemed stupid in cost comparison. Ultimately, we did discover a leak at the coil near the furnace. Now this was straight up the fault of South Placer heating and air when they replaced the furnace the year and a half ago so while I’m praising Scotty’s I would highly advise any of you about talking you south, Placer heating and air. The bottom line is it’s gonna be expensive to fix the problem either way, but I at least know how to approach it most effectively. They didn’t put me through any hard sales technique to try to shove a new system down my throat they gave me options on how to fix the current system And wall it’s unfortunate that it’s still very expensive. There is at least a way to two stage the cost if necessary. So I highly recommend them great experience.

Great company, great guys, and great equipment! We couldnt be happier with our new HVAC system. It works amazingly well ice cold AC and it is super efficient too. I love this place. Scotty’s is a local company with a well deserved excellent reputation. They installed our heating/air unit 7 years ago and I still think it was the best purchase we’ve made. It’s obvious that Scott and Tim take pride in their work and that they care about their customers. I trust these guys to the point that I sometimes ask them for recommendations when I have other projects I need done.

I called Scottys Heating & Air this morning to see if they could give me a second opinion on some work I was quoted by another company. The gentleman who answered took the time to discuss the other companys quote with me and told me I was getting a great deal and was safe to proceed. This to me is great and honest customer service. My home warranty requires me to use the other company but if I had a say it would be Scottys for sure! Love finding an honest and local company with such integrity.

Call Scottys Heating and Air First!!! Weve had a $19.99 monthly membership with Gilmore Heating and Air for several years. With the membership Gilmore comes out twice a year to check the system and give it a tune up if needed. The membership also provides a 10% discount on any repairs needed. In 2022 we paid Gilmore $1122 for repairs they said were necessary. We had no reason to doubt them. Perhaps those repairs were legitimately needed, perhaps not. Well never know for sure. Gilmore has serviced the unit 3 times since then. Last week was the most recent seasonal tune-up. Though we have experienced no issues with the unit, the service tech gave us some bad news - our system had some serious problems. We could either spend $6,062.00 for repairs without any warranty, or we could purchase a new system which they advised was probably the better idea. A Gilmore sales person came out a few days ago to provide information and options for a replacement system. Bottom line, it was going to cost us about $18,000 (original quote was $21,000 but the sales guy spoke to his manager who said they could graciously drop the price to $18,000). We were then encouraged to sign the contract immediately to secure that price. We told the Gilmore sales person we would be getting more quotes prior to making a decision on such a large purchase. A few days ago I called Scottys Heating and Air in Diamond Springs after reading many positive reviews. I spoke to Scotty who sent his tech, Tim, to our house the next morning. We asked Tim to check out the system and give it a tune up if needed. The fee for doing so was very reasonable - $89.00. His findings were astounding - he found the system to be in good working order with NO repairs needed. This is after we explained what we had been told by Gilmore. Tim certainly could have advised us to do some unneeded repairs in order to make some money but instead, he was honest and told us our 13 and 1/2 year old system looked good and was still in good working order. Scottys Heating and Air have now earned our business for life. When it is time to repair or replace our system, we will be calling them to do the job. We highly suggest our neighbors do the same! Scottys upgraded my AC 5 years ago and I have enjoyed much better performance since (more air flow and other improvements). Yesterday, an unrelated issue caused my AC to not cool and after a hot evening/night called the next morning and Scottys had me back up and running the same morning I called which was remarkable plus the work performed was excellent and now nice and cool again in August! I called Scott when my furnace would not light on 1-11-2023. The technician said I needed a hot surface igniter and a run capacitor. I said fix it. Next thing I know the furnace is running. Then he handed me a $607.00 bill. I was shocked but paid the bill. Next day I looked up those parts, I could buy both parts for less than $50.00 total. I called Scott and asked how he could change people on social security those kind of prices? He laughed and said he had to charge those prices to stay in business. He must know I will never call again.

We were referred to Scottys by a trusted friend who is a building contractor. Scott returned our call within hours, and offered to come by that evening when we told him that our HVAC system was out during an intense heat wave. He listened to our needs and provided four alternative proposals to us by 9 AM the next morning, as promised. The system was installed within a few days of our choosing an option. They set an appointment with me after I was having issues with the warranty company and then come time to have him show up he called and cancelled the appointment saying he didnt want to get involved. After calling numerous companies we settled on Scottys. Scotts, knowledge on the system I researching made my decision easy. Tim came over to evaluate our house, took measurements, looked at our old air handler and ducting and saw that it was very old and outdated. He recommended a high efficiency system which we were wanting anyway a Heat Pump System. Installation went very well and surprisingly quick, the installers Mike & Jimmy were professional and very hard working, they completed the job in 4 days, they removed the old equipment and installed all new air handler, ducting & vents. We gave them a 5 star but, it should be a 10 for over all excellence!!!!

Wow – Scotty’s Heating and Air in Diamond Spring is the Greatest. They installed a brand-new Heater in my daughter’s home today and repaired the Heat Pump. I called them on Monday, set appointment for Tuesday to determine what was needed and set up the install for Thursday. On Thursday afternoon by 2:30pm all work was completed and system was checked. Really quick from start to finish – only three days total. Tim, Dave and Curtis were very professional and courteous. Tim even painted the roof jack to match the roof shingles. We had 3 different heating and air companies come to the house and discuss replacement of the 20+ year old system. The house is large requiring separate systems for the downstairs and upstairs. We gave each company the same information including a master bedroom that had inadequate coverage from the existing system. Scottys was the only one that checked out the bedroom to make sure the problem would be resolved with the new installation. All bids were comparable. Scottys got the job.Scotty, Tim, and Bryant all came out initially to bid the job. Tim and Bryant did the install. They kept us informed through the entire installation. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day. They were very respectful and very professional. The system works like a dream. So far he wont call my husband back for overcharging us yesterday. So we were looking at a bit over 2700 for two parts installed because you said we needed both parts. 1000 for one you said we needed but when it it wasnt actually needed you knocked off only 300 not the 1000.. so 2500 for a 1700 part installed... bs. I will be contacting the better business bureau, chamber of commerce and anyone else who will listen until you make this right and give us back the money you overcharged...You quoted 2700. You had written 2700 on the bill which your installer reduced by 300 for the 1000 module....just as underhanded as Gilmore..People if you have to use Scotty get a written quote. Thats where we failed. My husband could have bought this and installed it himself but he was told by Scotty he had to have a control module that had to be synced to the motor, which my husband could not do. But then he said when he went to install it that we didnt actually didnt need the module.

I called when the outside was over 100 degrees and I had just turned on the ac to use to cool for the first time this year but no cool!! I called in the late evening and got VM. Next morning, I got a call from Scotty himself, saying Ill have a man over this morning to fix it. The man was here around 9 spent a half hour to diagnose the problem and found a leak (bad valve). The man called Scotty who cleared his schedule and the man fixed the problem and by noon I had cooling. Great job!

We have been using Scotts heating and air for years in both residential and our commercial building systems. My complaint: When a part on a system purchased from this company that is warrantedfailed, I was charged for the part and the service call….$198.00. I was told I was getting a “deal”and that the $89.00 part was their cost. Shopping locally might not be a great idea financially. On the plus side…Prompt and courteous.

Hands down the best HVAC service I have experienced.
