If only everyone did business like this wed all be so much happier! Ive purchased four bikes online: Wilier Jena, Lynskey GR Pro, Lauf Seigla, and now A specialized Diverge from Scotts Valley Cycle Sport. BY FAR CycleSport did the best job of packing, customer service post and pre-sale, shipping (time and care) and quality of the bike received. I worked primarily with Ben and Lauren, and both went way above and beyond to make my purchase (not a cheap one!) perfect and downright fun. Maiden voyage for the bike tomorrow, after a short test ride today (which proved excellent!) I used to live in Santa Cruz. When I visit again, CycleSport will be my first stop so I can thank them and take a bike for a spin. THANK YOU CYCLESPORT!

I purchased a Specialized Stump Jumper Evo Pro directly through Scott’s Valley Cycle Shop. Their customer service was top notch and they were more than happy to answer all of my technical questions about the bike. I ordered it by phone on a Tuesday and it was on my doorstep in Lake Tahoe on that Friday. They did an awesome job packing the bike and providing basic assembly instructions. Though I do not live locally to their shop I will most definitely continue to use them for any of my mountain biking needs! Thanks again!

I recently had an S-Works Crux built here and have been extremely satisfied with the bike and the subsequent service. Ben, Jamie, Andrew and Ryan have been fantastic to work with. Great customer service! Came from out of town to ride Sea Otter Classic and a day before the race I brought my road bike to them hoping they could do a quick servicing and re-wrap handle bars with new tape as well as adjustment to the shifter. Was praying they could do it within a couple hours and they told me know problem theyd squeeze it in. Had it back to me in 2 hours at a very reasonable price. Great bike shop with good knowledgeable people. Thank you!

Surprisingly good experience buying a complete bicycle from this dealer. They gave me straight-up accurate information about a bike I was interested in purchasing and having shipped out-of-state. Follow-up was always prompt and helpful. When the bike arrived at my home several states away after only a few days, I discovered it had been packed perfectly and with great attention to detail. Entire experience was great…they didn’t have my size in the shop but checked with warehouse and within 15 minutes a bike arrived! Service tech had everything double checked and suspension dialed in within 30 min. Dan took care of the money stuff and I was on my way! Went for first ride this morning and am completely stoked! I had a great experience at the shop. First of all, I messed up my reservation and selected the wrong day. They accommodated me with an e-bike right on the spot and got it ready in a matter of minutes. Later on, we forgot to bring our tailgate pad, so they gave us one for the day so we could transport the bikes as they are supposed to. Bikes were very nice, Specialized.Everet and Bob (I think it was his name), they both helped out a lot, I definitely will be back to rent out again from them

We are always greeted by friendly people who offer assistance if needed. They are knowledgeable and took time to talk to my son (11 yo), who is very serious about bikes, about what he needed. They took the time to discuss options and budget. They didn’t have exactly what he needed so they ordered the part. This experience reinforced my belief that they are the perfect shop for our whole family. It’s always clean, well organized and the layout flows nicely. I rented a Specialized Roubaix road bike from this shop for a day and can’t say enough good things about my experience.They were ready for me as soon as I rolled up, super friendly, and asked about all the nuances of how they could set the bike up for me. They even sorted me out with spare tire levers, bottles, and a multi-tool to bring along with me which I had failed to bring myself.I got an informative rundown on operating the sram etap shifters which I never used before, a great suggestion on which local roads I would enjoy and how to string them together for a route that would suite me, then after a quick test ride I was off.The equipment was top notch, the bike was perfectly maintained, the roads were like a dream, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and I had the time of my life. Couldn’t recommend it more highly. I’ll be back! 🤘

San Jose, CA - 3/3/2023:I have been trying to get my hands on a Specialized Enduro S-WORKS (S2) for month(s) to no avail. Out of respect, without naming the other bike shop(s) that I called and inquired about the model mentioned above. They simply just said that they didn’t have them in my size and due to the shortage they couldn’t get me one. Instead they offered me other models available to them. They didn’t take their time or energy to put together a similar build.Well - thank goodness I called SCCS and spoke to Bobby! I told him what I wanted and he listened and went out of his way to make it happen. After he took down my info he told me he would workout an order so that I would be one of the first to receive a 2023 enduro S-WORKS in April or late June of this year.Within 15 mins after our conversation over the phone, he called me and got me a build with a 2022 none S-Works frame, that I couldn’t refuse - thanks to his BOSS. I would’ve never expected that type of customer service. They went above and beyond to accommodate my sizing and my request for high end components that the S-Works build comes with.If you are like me having a hard time getting your hands on a MTB - look no further, call SCCS. They have an outstanding customer service and great team. Building a relationship with their customers is what they strive for. The help I received from Bobby and Jeremy was most professional and helpful. Again, Great sales team and they delivered an incredible MTB. Well, I just picked up my Specialized RockHopper 29er from Scotts Valley Cycle Sport where I dropped it off for maintenance and a clean-up. On my way to drop it off this morning I noticed that the handlebar grips were in need of repair. Then I forgot about the handle bar grips. I got a text from SVCS with a recomendation that I address this maintenance need. Whew! Glad you guys caught this one. You earned your pay! Took my bike for a short ride. I wouldn’t order a sale item from them online because they will not refund it. I’m a disabled veteran who recently purchased a specialized bike and I ordered a front rack from Scott’s Valley Cycle Sport, not knowing that it doesn’t even fit my bike. The rack is meant for an e-bike, and I didn’t know because I’m new to the biking world. I never opened the package, but the company is refusing to allow me to return my purchase because the item I purchased was on sale. Needless to say, I won’t be purchasing anymore items for my bike online. Thanks for the great experience Scott’s! I’m sure you take better care of your customers face to face.

This shop has an abundance of bikes. However I was searching for a road e- bike, which they happen to have in stock. It is the exact one that Ive been searching for and at a great price! Drove over an hour to test ride the bike, which was perfect for me. Shayne is very knowledgeable about how the e-bike works. Great service received at this shop, all friendly. Before taking the bike home, it was throughly tested/tuned. I recommend shopping this store, they may have what youre looking for.

Fast forward a year, and this beauty has become an extension of my very soul. Ive been tearing up the trails in UC and Demo, racking up a cool 20 miles a week.Now, heres the kicker. I highly recommend this shop! We rented e-bikes for 2 days and a SC Hightower LT for a week. Bikes were all in great shape and worked flawlessly. Very helpful sales staff and mechanics are top notch. This is a great bike shop for parts and service. The service staff are very helpful and they are so goo about letting us know by text when our bike service is complete. Ordered my bicycle online, Conor called me next day to confirm my order as we discussed shipping options and details of assembly. The bicycle was assembled in Cali, test driven, disassembled and shipped with instructions for an easy reassembly at home. After receiving my new bike I had a few questions. Quite surprised of the good review here. My experience says otherwise.1. Purchased the bike online (yes they have bikes) but never received any courtesy calls or tell me when the bike will be ready. I had to call myself asking for status.2. After I picked up the bike, dropped it off to another shop to install handlebar. They showed me the stem expander plug screw was stripped and expander plug was not even tight. Rear derauiller b-screw were off so the other bike shop had to adjust it.3. Rear rotor disc was over tighten not to spec. Stripped the disc rotor teeth. Now I have to buy a new rotor and locking rings.

We moved here 2 years ago from the North Bay to be closer to our middle son, who told us about this great shop. We’re older; have been riding Mtn Bikes off and on since the 80’s. We have 4 bikes between us—2 analogs and 2 e-bikes—they all have been serviced here—and I’m happy to say these guys are fantastic! Ben (I think he’s in charge of repairs) was able to diagnose and treat a long-standing issue I had with my Levo SL. We love this place!

I ordered a bike frame from this company online. A couple weeks went by without any communication about the order status and shipping so I reached out to them only to find out my order had been lost in a software glitch and that it was being processed by Specialized. I asked about confirmation or a way to track shipment and never heard back from this company. They may be a good company to purchase a bike in person but I be cautious with online sales.

Posted for Brett. Had the best experience. Bought a pair of Specialized Recon shoes at Cycle Sport. Rode a few times with them and found that they hurt my feet. Wrong size and style for me perhaps. I took them back into Cycle Sport and they exchanged them for another pair, no questions asked. Took the new shoes out for a spin and feel sooooo much better. These arent cheap shoes, so being able to exchange them versus having to buy another pair was amazing. Thank you!

After a failed attempt to repair my Specialized Mtn bike and install a new chain, during which I smashed my thumb, I was still no further along than when I started. Scott’s Valley Cycle Sport has the biggest selection of Specialized bikes in the area. I was looking for a very specific road bike in a small size, and the team was able to pull the bike from the warehouse and assemble it for me within 3 hours for pickup. This is a true LBS. They have great in -tore selection of parts and apparel and most importantly for the home mechanic, a super rocking service shop. They are generous with their knowledge and parts, and will get you back riding ASAP. I always go in there when I get stuck halfway through a project and they have all the right tips and parts to get me back on track. Dont forget to leave a tip!

I’ve been very happy with the service, team, and quality of products SVCS offers. I’ve also observed they’re dialed in with helping a range of skill levels and ages of riders. Ordered an AXS dropper post and XX1 cassette late night east coast time. Emailed sales to confirm overnight shipping. Was called an hour before store opened west coast time and spoke to team member who wanted to ship the dropper via air but could not with the battery. I had a broken Crux and was in need of a replacement. Since the seat stay was broken by an errant branch, Specialized offered an Assisted Purchase of a Crux of my choice. This is where SVCS came to help locate and build up a Crux Comp that was in stock. It took a whole two days from contacting them to getting me my replacement Crux. Outstanding and impressive. There are not many bike shops that can order a brand new Fox fork on a Monday and get it that Wednesday. Scotts Valley Cycle Sport did. They told me by the end of the week so maybe its not always so fast. Ive worked in two bike shops and I do almost all my own bike work but I needed to visit this shop to get a Fox fork ASAP. Beside the fork, I was genuinely impressed by the wide array of equipment and bikes to check out. I was in and out pretty quick but enjoyed looking over the Light & Motion lights and tool selection while in line. Someone or some team definitely put effort and care into organizing this shop. I bought specialized status here and had it break within one week of riding. After paying specialized for the crash replacement, i had the shop put together my new bike. When I went to go pick it up, my brakes were not bled, and the shock installed had no spacers in it even though i specifically asked them to put in 4 spacers. When I asked the shop tech if he bled my brakes they told me to come back in a hour even though they said the bike would be ready. They charged me 300$ for assembling my bike and forgot to put the dust cap on for my cranks. After calling them about it multiple times, I have gotten no response. This shop takes customers for granted and exploits them. I would highly advise not going here and driving down to ABS instead. At least there you get what you pay for.

Absolutely an amazing shop. I have visited a lot of other bike shops in Santa Cruz, and many are very, very good. But when I visited Scotts Valley Cycling they were OUTSTANDING and head and shoulders above any bike shop I have worked with and even purchased bikes from. Even though I live in South County, Santa Cruz, I drive all the way there because Andrew and his staff are just plain superb. Even when busy, they gave me their full attention. When I tested an electric bike, Andrew had a staff member go with me who explained how to use it and took me up some very steep hills. Then he swapped bikes with me so I could try the next size up to make sure I knew what fit. I cant say enough about this shop and its staff.

Possibly one of the most impressive customer service experiences that I have ever had! Ive owner a LOT of personal and commercial equipment over the years. Which means I have had to deal with many different service departments from NY to CA. I have to say that my recent visit to Cycle sport was amazing. I took my Santa Cruz 5010 in for a new shock install, derailer adjust, and front fork rebuild. Ryan (the 16 year+ experienced service mgr) recommended the perfect fit for me and my riding style. Within two days, the parts were ordered, installed and I was back on the trail smashin my new suspension to the max! Amazing store and employees. I purchased Specialized S-Works Lace-Up Road shoes online from Scotts Valley Cycle Sport. Kai called and informed me that the laces may not meet my expectations but Specialized have made it a point to promise to replace them in the near future. Additionally, the cleats I needed for the shoes were not listed on the website but Kai was able to confirm that they had them. Not only was Kai informative but he also made the interaction easy and straight-forward. I wanted to share my awesome experience with the team at Scotts Valley Cycle Sport. I recently purchased my first E-Bike from them (Specialized Turbo Levo) and couldnt be more pleased with the level of service they provided. Andrew took his time to find me the right gear (jersey, shorts, shoes, helmet, pedals, bike rack) while being mindful of my budget. He had his guys set up my suspension for my weight and riding style. His wife Brittany took her time to show me the ins and outs of how to use clipped in pedals as I am a brand new rider and new to all of this. She also helped me download my Mission Control app and showed me how to tune my bike based on how I was intending to ride. I went to Scotts Valley Cycle Sport to change a tubeless tire. The bike was only a couple months old but I ran over a nail. I bought the tire and the charged for install plus tire, tape and sealant. They told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. I came back in 30 and they said it was going to take a couple more hours. Came back again, picked up tire and it was flat as soon as I got home. Brought it back the next day and they said that I needed to ride it so the sealant would distribute. I tried that and rode if for about 25 miles - no problem - but it was flat again the next day. Brought it back in. THey said Tape wasnt done right, so they cleaned it up, filled it up. Seemed to be ok so I brought it back home. Rode it for 5 miles and then it went flat again. Brougt it back it in and they said the tape job wasnt done right. I didnt have patience to go throught the cycle again (at that point it was my 5th trip there for this tire!) so I asked for a full refund. I gave them 2 stars because they agreed to a refund.

This outstanding bike store caught our eye on the way to our favorite hiking trail at Henry Cowell. Neither my fiance nor I are electric bike experts so we didnt know where to begin. We were helped by a tall young gentleman who explained the nitty-gritty of ebikes.

Save yourself the time and frustration and just order next day from Amazon instead.Too many times Ive gone in to buy something the website says they have in store, and its not there. Today was a 20x4 tube, website says they have it, go in, the guy I talk to is really apathetic and just sorta shrugs. The site is not really accurate.
