All 5-star reviews are accurate! Quyen is an absolute master at this art. Studio is very clean, and professional and Quyen is very helpful answering all questions. Im very happy that I chose to go with him. My hair turned out better than I expected and thanks to him, I am able to put my hair back and put gel after 12 years. Looks very natural and cannot tell I had any work done.True artist and if youre wondering if this is the right choice, it is and Quyen is the person you want to see.

I wanted to make sure to recognize Q in the SF location. Q is an amazing SMP artist. Not only that, hes just a good guy all around and great to talk to. He answered all of my questions (and I had a ton of questions!) during the initial consultation. His responses really put me at ease around not only having the procedure done, but also trusting him to do the work. If youre a little weary about moving forward with SMP for fear of a bad job... you dont need to be with Q. He really knows his craft and takes pride in his work. I never felt like he was trying to rush through any of the sessions. In fact, I would say he was really thoughtful, meticulous and conservative to make sure that the result looked natural and not overdone. He also did a great job in explaining the after care after each procedure to have optimal results. You do need to have some patience because its not an overnight process, but Im so happy with the finished product. Thanks Q!

Ive just finished four SMP sessions with Quyen and it was done in a flash! Quyen is the definition of professionalism and he is so knowledgeable in SMP and knows whats best for his clients. He already knew what would work the best when I first went in for a consultation. Ive been loving the results and it has definitely boosted my confidence. I’ve been experiencing thinning for some time and was very self conscious about it. I contacted Scalp Society and they responded quickly and scheduled a phone session and free consultation. The overall experience was great. Q was really easy to talk to, patient, and clearly explained the process and aftercare steps. I don’t know why I waited so many years to do this procedure. I investigated before I did my procedure and the most fulfillment place for me, was Scalpsociety. Quyen (San Francisco office) explained to me all the concerns and questions that i had. He guided me through the process and explained in details the benefits of doing this. Before SMP, I was wearing a hat every single day and couldnt go anywhere without it because I was self-conscious of my receding hairline. Thanks to Quyens awesome work, I am now hat-free! Since I have darker skin, I required 4 sessions in total with two weeks of healing in between to get my new scalp looking perfect. I really appreciated his thoroughness throughout the entire process. You will be pleased with Quyens quality of work!!! He is very knowledgeable, patient, friendly and flexible :-) His location is easy to get to and most importantly not too bad to find parking. I have 2 scars that need coverage. One of the scars was from a recent surgery (Dec 2021). Quyen recommended to wait for 18m from surgery date for that scar to get a good outcome. I really appreciate his honesty and expertise as he could just have everything done in one scoop. My first round was in July 2022 which comprised of 3 visits, 2 wks apart. The second round started in May 2023 and is about to complete. Cannot wait to see the final outcome of the 2nd round. Thank you Quyen for all that you do!

I have been wanting to get scalp pigmentation for a few years now. Once I had my baby I was even more determined because of postpartum hair loss. I made the appointment with Quyen. From start to finish and throughout the entire process he was absolutely incredible. It’s been over a year since I had my SMP and I love it. Quyen is a wonderful person. He was flexible with the appointments. He as well as his space is Extremely warm and inviting. his work room is very clean and neat and allows you to really get comfortable and ease into the session. I was very pleased with Quyen and scalp Society staff!Their San Jose office had a nice and relaxing ambiance and I was able to watch Netflix while Quyen worked on me for a total of 3 sessions ( spaced out about a couple weeks apart). He was very reassuring and walked me through every step of the way with what to expect etc..Also, just as a weird side note- I happen to have a very sensitive keen sense of smell (yes, I can smell through my mask). I absolutely can’t stand it when people have strong Cologne/perfume scent or God forbid, BO. But not only does Quyen not use cologne, he just has a natural clean scent. So yeah, if I can give him 6 out of 5 stars, I would!By the end of my final session, I was amazed at how good I look. It was a funny moment when I looked at myself in the mirror and shamelessly uttered “wow, you really made me look so handsome again!” Hahaha. I came across Scalp society while online searching for micro scalp pigmentation in the Bay Area. It took me a good few months to convince myself to call and inquire about the process and reading about benefits / concerns I had. The receptionist made it very easy and was genuine and caring in her delivery. Something like this can be extremely nerve racking.She set me up for a consultation in which I met Quyen who would eventually be my technician for my procedure.Fast forward a few weeks and I’m driving up to SF for my appointment. I arrived and immediately clicked with Quyen who was able to talk my nerves down and outline the process. Gave me a few details about what to expect for the next 3.5 hours. He really makes you feel comfortable, builds that trust as your technician and genuinely wants to help clients not only feel better about themselves but also takes it slow enough that you’re really feeling that lost confidence come back. We set up the hairline outline, talked through my concerns and then the rest was just slightly painful but manageable to get through. He explained the difference between tattooing vs micropigmentation. Also clearly communicated aftercare process.The spot is centrally located in middle of city with decent amount of paid parking around. Inside the spot is nicely set up and really gives the shop this really modern style. Awesome big screen TV and Netflix to help take your mind off the process a little.I’m on my 2nd appt currently with one more left. I had a density treatment done by Quyen, which made my hair look more full. He made me feel very comfortable the first time I came in for a consultation and answered all my questions. The entire process took about 3.5 hours for my 1st session, which I thought would be extremely painful, but it wasnt at all! A friend who had his treatment done referred me over to Quyen. The work on my friend looked great so I decided to book a consultation. Quyen was extremely easy to work with. After all my questions were answered, I then decided to move forward with the procedure. I am now done with my 2nd session, and I am glad I got the procedure done. Each session took about 3 hours. What’s awesome is the 3rd session is complementary which I didn’t need, so I am able to save it for a free touchup. You rock, Quyen!

I have not seen any hair replacement that doesn’t look natural. I have “accepted” having a bald head, but I never felt confident about completely and always wore a ball cap or beanie. Someone told me about micropigmentation years ago before i started looking for it on Google. I looked around at several places online before I decided on Scalp Society and Quyen mainly because he was in my neighborhood. And I’m glad I did. Getting micropigmentation is an art. It’s not a tattoo and the idea is to make you look like you have a natural fade. Quyen is a master at his craft. Amazing. The process didn’t really hurt. You sit in a barber chair leaning back watching a 65” screen television and chill. I almost fell asleep. The process took 3 visits, at about an hour and half at a time. The finished product is amazing. People keep asking me if I got Botox or just saying I look younger. It’s kind of amazing how something so subtle can make such a difference. Now I can really embrace being “bald.” I look like I have a real fade. At this stage in my life I have to wear a lot of suits and I can’t wear a hat of some kind and this new look has given me so much confidence. Im a nurse that worked all through Covid and after the last year and promised to do some kind of self care for myself. My only regret is not getting this sooner.

My guy Quyen made magic happen with my 3rd session. His outstanding work gave me an overall healthier look and probably took at least 5 to 8 years off of my appearance. He did my first 2 sessions at the San Jose shop. I definitely looked better than I did before going in for those 2 sessions. However, this 3rd session gave me exactly what I was looking for. I couldn’t be happier after completing my third and last session. I had two bald spots on my hairline temples from traction alopecia. Like many other, I would try cover up the bald spots with my longer hairs and always carry a little brush, just in case the wind blew my hairs the wrong direction. My scalp is darker and you can’t even tell there was a bald spot there anymore. My sessions were quick and painless (just a bit uncomfortable) and I definitely notice the difference in pictures. I’m now able to wear my hair back and in a ponytail for the first time in years without having to color spray it. To some people it’s a small thing, but for me it’s one of the best things I could’ve done! I feel so much better about being able to wear my hair in different styles, getting in water, and just not always worrying about my hair so much. Just Do It! That is my wholehearted suggestion to anyone looking to improve the appearance of their dome. About three solid months of research on the web and on youtube I finally decided to go for it. I thought I would have to fly to NY since all the youtube vids were from NY & Miami outfits. I then found out about Scalp Society and esp. noticed words used to describe Bosco...words such as craftsmanship and artistry and went in for a consultation. Right away he was able to tell where my hairline used to be and nuances like my widows peak and things of that nature...Bosco is a youthful dude but dont get it twisted he is a well seasoned vet that obviously takes pride in his craft. 1st session I looked in the mirror and totally forgot how I looked like only a few hours earlier (real talk)...that is how natural even the first session looked. It was insane. I was so content with it that I literally was not even super super excited about the second session. I mean I already thought a 1000% Id be happy just with the one session. But then after the second session all I could say was WOW. Bosco is amazing and all I can say is this is the best $$ I ever spent and you will not regret checking him and Scalp Society out.
