This is the first time I’ve ever written a review at 50 years old but I am so pleased with the results from Alex. He’s an absolute pro! I was very nervous initially but after speaking with him I felt that I was in great hands and the results speak for themselves! The only person that knows I had this done is my wife because I told her but everyone has been asking me how I was able to grow my hair back! It looks so natural and you cannot tell that it’s ink! Even yesterday when I went to a new barber he didn’t know. Alex will blend it with your natural color perfectly and take years off your age in one session. After the second session it looked even better. I couldn’t be happier with the results and will tell you that if you’re considering doing it, Alex is the one and you should go for it!

Me and my son just completed our training with Scalp Micro SD and let me tell you it was beyond my expectations!! As a barber I was looking to elevate my skills and offer more service to my customers. I came across Alex and the team at Scalp Micro SD and knew I had to take a class with him. He’s very personable and understanding. Although it was a drive from San Luis Obispo I enjoyed every moment in the class and the team. Alex was incredible at delivering the course. If you’re considering getting SMP, you won’t regret it! I had a receding hairline and my crown was significantly thinning, but coming here to Scalp Micro SD has made that all go away. I actually have a hairline line now! Not only has this procedure made me look better, but it’s made my confidence go up and I’m no longer self conscious about going out in public without a hat. I feel free and relieved and I think we all deserve to feel good about ourselves. I had a two day advanced training with Scalp micro SD. This was my second training for SMP and Alex and team did not disappoint. Alex first looked at the pictures of my work and immediately knew where I needed help. He gave me some pointers, we practiced his technique on a latex and then we worked on a model together. His tip and tricks were very helpful and has given me the confidence needed as an artist. Joana who assisted Alex was also very helpful and informative. I enjoyed my two day training and it felt like time flew by so fast. I highly recommend his trainings and I left his studio with a lot of knowledge and confidence. My second review for Scalp Micro SD. Hands down the best in SMP in San Diego. I had my SMP done in late 2021 and till date it was still looking fresh after only two sessions. I returned for a yearly touch up and it was again the best all around service. Alex is a master of his art, his knowledge and techniques. Its such a pleasure to have him as my personal artist. His prices are the best and his results are even better. With a growing staff and Johanna at his side she will also be a master if not already. Thanks again for everything!

This Certification makes me 7x certified and this is the only training that I can honestly say the fee is worth it. I learned each and everyday! There was never a time where the day wasnt filled with necessary information. Not knowing what I was getting into Ive decided to give SMP training a chance, and boy, that was a helluva training!!! Alex and his staff were great from day one. The teaching was amazing, the curriculum was second to none and each one of us were treated with respect and good care. Its a small class, so it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving us more confidence when asking questions and all of them were answered in the spot. I am based out of DFW, TX and when I reached out to Alex for a master course training not only did he respond in a timely manner but he actually called me personally to let me know the ins and out of what his master course would intel, and if his course was the right fit for me (thank you for the honesty). My experience with Alex was amazing. He was quick to respond from the beginning when I was first curious about SMP. You can tell he really loves his work and cares about his clients. The process itself was smooth, everything was clean and sanitized. The work he did is so clean and natural. He was very courteous and even suggested the Hilton hotel that was just a 5 minute walk away. If you are looking to have great work done and an SMP artist that is genuine, I highly suggest Alex. I flew from out of state and he even suggested good food around here to me, as well even taking time out of his own schedule to drop me off at the restaurant after the procedure.Great guy, great work, and a nice cleanly work place. I learned about Scalp Micro SD thru a friend who has been receiving treatments for a while now. His hairline always looked really sharp so I figured why not try it out myself, since my hair has begun to recede a lot more. Alex is very knowledgeable and a master of his craft. I was excited to begin my sessions after Alex explained the entire process during my initial consultation. Ive never had a tattoo or anything like that so the thought of sitting down under a needle for hours was nerve wrecking. However, once you step thru the doors at Scalp Micro SD, the atmosphere is very relaxing and helped calm any anxieties I may have had. The first session was complete after about three hours. I could tell the difference as soon as I looked in the mirror.After a few weeks, you have to come back for a second session to complete the process. Unfortunately for me, I was exposed to Covid 19 and had to push back my second session. I must say that I am truly grateful to Alex for understanding my situation and adjusting his tight schedule to fit me in for my second session. He is a true professional. After my second session I was amazed even more at the final results. My hairline was fully restored after several years of internalized frustration that I didnt know I had. I looked like my younger self and immediately felt an increase in my confidence! No more wearing fitted baseball caps every time I left the house. After a about a year of research, I decided to go with Scalp Micro SD for my SMP treatment, admittedly, with a bit of trepidation. It was, without a doubt, the right decision. I was not disappointed. 10/10 service and experience from Alex and his team, from scheduling to consultation, to SMP sessions and aftercare. A little back story…. As a barber for 26 years, to say I am picky about my hair is a tremendous understatement. I am a perfectionist who has extremely high standards when it comes to attention to detail. I don’t think there is anyone more obsessive or meticulous than me when it comes to a perfect line up, blend and crisp finish. That is, until I met Alex. He takes the time to ensure the perfect result is achieved. He LISTENS to the client’s concerns and understands exactly what needs to be done and how to do it, but does not simply oblige. He will challenge your expectations and come up with a collective plan in order to achieve the perfect, realistic final result. He and his team are true professionals and their location is top notch and very, very clean. Alex, is a true professional. I wear my beard pretty short and I like clean lines. My beard had patches that hair just would not grow. I tried everything from oils to creams. So I started to loose my hair at age 21 and was looking for a alternate treatment than the hair fibers I was using luckily I stumbled across ScalpMicro SD on instagram, very professional work. Artist Alex got back to me the day I sent him the message and set up a FaceTime consultation all in the same day he was completely transparent on the full procedure and answered all my questions.
