WOW. Read the reviews and HAD to try this place. HUUUGEEE burritos. 1000% need to split with someone!! We had the Pac-Man which is their most popular and man it was good. The pork and carne asada combination was mouth watering.This place has the BEST burritos. You HAVE to come here. Very quick, everyone is so nice & everything is soooo delicious.

It was my first time going to Sayulitas today. As a vegetarian Im very disappointed in the veggie burrito l was served. I paid almost $16 for a veggie burrito that only came with rice and a bit of pico. This is the worse veggie burrito lve ever received in my life especially for $16 dollars. The burrito does come with beans but they dont tell you the beans have lard in them. You cant even eat the beans in the veggie burrito which is why I had to get it with just the rice. They also didnt give me any other bean options after I asked if the beans had lard. If you are a vegetarian stay away from this place!!!

Words cannot do justice to what I just expirenced... the bacon wrapped burritos name does not do justice to what I just ate. This is literally the best burrito Ive ever had in my life. Im on the verge of tears thinking about how delicious this burrito was. The bacon creates an incredible crust that holds in all of the heat & flavor, and the burrito is so sturdy that you can set it down, and pick it back up, 100% intact. This was incredible. Muy bien 👌

Finally made time to come here and it didnt disappoint. Best little Taco spot. I got the mecca burrito and added beans lettuce and salsa fresca. Worth every penny. Delicioso! It beat me. Had to take some home it was so big. The meats were on point. Only thing I wouldnt try again would be the guacamole just wasnt for me. Highly recommend!

I donate plasma in the same center where Sayulitas is. I have to have a good meal and Sayulitas has it. They have specials every day. The prices on their specials are pretty low, for what we get. It is a whole meal. Tasty and I also buy beans to take home. My daughter says they must put something else in them, cause they are so good

The food is delicious. Lots and I do mean LOTS of food for your money. I had 5 beef rolled tacos, a order of chicken nachos and shredded chicken torta. Couldnt eat all the nachos. My wife couldnt finish the torta. Thumbs up. 👍

Killer burritos some of the better served and flavorful burritos in the area. They are also opened later than most in the area with last call around 9:30. Staff is friendly and cant go wrong with unlimited refills. Depending on when they change the bag the tamarindo and horchata can be light to strong but the food is always great and consistent. Try the breakfast burritos!

The food quality alone is enough to merit 5 stars, but these madlads take it the extra mile with quantity so massive I would place ordering here akin to grocery shopping for the month. Its delicious, its indulgent, its humongous. I love it here.Edit 2023:Had to remove a star after they refused to honor their own coupon that we had received in the mail. The coupon had no codes or expiration but thats not really the customers fault so to be punished for their lack of foresight was disappointing.

I want to start by saying that we are huge fans of this restaurant. My wife and I have traveled all over Mexico… And this menu has a unique twist in both preparation and presentation.However…!…we were very disappointed when we got home and opened the bag with our order in it only to find it wasn’t there. We only ordered one burrito and I ordered it online, hours in advance, and when I picked it up at the designated time, there was great service from the gentleman behind the counter. I signed the receipt as he requested, however, when we got the order home and opened the bag, it was not what we ordered. (Even after a month of waiting and not going back, they still have yet to rectify this mistake or even bothered to make amends.)The real unfortunate part is that we were given what seems to be a surf and turf burrito instead of the Salchichon. Normally we would just take it and move on, but my wife is allergic to shellfish. We would’ve happily brought it back if we did not live 40 minutes away all the way over on the far east side of the county.We were both extremely disappointed. She had to order delivery from somebody else out and that caused a small argument and an unpleasant evening. I called and wrote to the staff, which responded to both of my inquiries with the same reply: we apologize, and we will take it up with local management. What does that even mean? Did they ever do it? We have no idea. Not the customer service or even the apology we were looking for. They seem to feel this kind of thing happens, but thats just tough, and bad luck for us. =(We wanted to write a review to make sure any future client MAKES SURE TO CHECK THE CONTENTS of the bag before leaving with your order. Because they couldnt care less after the fact. Our order was not complicated. However, paying $20 for a burrito and then not even getting what we ordered is more than irritating. =(

Second visit. Worst al pastor Ive ever had, very dry and no flavor, skip and get tocino instead. Low reviews is for the deceit in the credit charges. My receipt showed an 85 cent convenience charge, which is extremely high. I informed the cashier and said wish you wouldve told me, as I had cash. She said its posted. They have a ton of signs up. The credit terminal is away from the register and there is nothing posted there. They have a poorly displayed sign in colors that arent legible on the bottom part of the register which is perfect if youre a toddler or in a wheelchair. That sign is also covered by a card. Shame on this business. Unable to take photo due to people at counter. I honestly wanted to take my tip out because of this.

Typical looking Mexican Food dine-in/take-out restaurant, but their food is far from typical. Ive lived in SoCal the majority of my life and this place, hands down, has THE best burritos in all of SoCal. Their Pac Man fries are bomb as well as their quesadillas.Normally I get a Pollo asada or a CA burrito. The flavors and size are 🤌. Ive shared the bacon wrapped burrito and that was amazing as well. Also, their carne asada is edible and good. So many places have chewy meat that I dont normally order anything with carne adasa, but Sayulitas changed the game for me.The prices are a little high, but what prices arent these days? With Sayulitas, its still a good deal since you could probably get 2 to 3 meals out of one burrito if you have self-control.The restaurant is owned by a couple that is Filipino and the other is Mexican so there is a fusion with the food. There are burritos with lumpia, tocino in their Pac Man fries, and longonisa in some other dish.Try this place out if you want excellent food! Highly recommend 👌

Look at those volcano totts! They literally could not close the lid on the to go box it was so packed! They give you huge portions here. The salsa bar had great flavors. Their medium salsa was great. 2 people can definitely share one order. Come hungry for sure.

Came to have lunch with my family today. It was my first time visit and it smelled delicious walking in thru the doors. There was so much variety of food. We had the tacos that were on special for taco tuesday and I had the hat cheetos burrito.. and dam!! That thing was huge!! Their salsa bar had a variety and not to mention the fresh made chips!! I believe this is the best place to get a carne asada burrito (my personal favorite) in all San Diego County! These burritos are HUGE, at least 1.5 times larger than regular ones, and they are DELICIOUS. Also, 5 or 6 different salsas with my favorite chunky salsa being one of them. This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant now!

I was in the area and needed a bite to eat and found this place. This is Mexican food to the extreme. I settled for a burrito and what I got was a buro because what I got was far from little. This thing was huge and good. I also liked the salsa bar the had a range of salsas from mild to 🔥 and I like hot. Service was great you should try this place if you are looking for something new and adventurous.

One of the worst milanesa tortas Ive ever had. For 18$ you would typically have high expectations.I went 12 rounds with fighting this milanesa. Horrible quality or they forgot to tenderize. I could rarely take a bite without having to manhandle the unbitten portion from coming out of the sandwich. Guacamole tasted horrible too! Tasted rancid. Very sour and bitter. 🤮 I give them 2 stars because this is not the normal for their guacamole. Cant speak for the milanesa. Should have just got tocino.... 🤦

I got the Pacman Burrito. It was the best Burrito Ive ever had in my mouth. EVER. Also the biggest. Seriously, when they handed me the bag, I was shocked at the sheer weight of it. I spent all day long eating this masterpiece. It was so incredibly delicious. The perfect combination of flavors. And my God, the amount of meat. I commute in a van pool. Stopped by this afternoon got a burrito to go.... asked for no salsa (onions).... receipt said no salsa... gave them a tip... left in a hurry to catch my ride.... burrito HAS SALSA IN IT... Wasted 20$ on a burrito thats full of onions, diced so small it would take an entire team of archeologists and a series of excavations to dig out all them onions. I started going here at the recommendation of my real estate agent. Ive been several times to buy burritos for the workers at my rental property in escondido. This review should be 3.5 stars.Postive: burritos are huge and they have some interesting mixes of ingredients. Salsas are everything from mild to habanero and have great flavor and heat for all tastes.Carne and carnitas are solid and flavorful.Negative: today I ordered 2 carnitas burritos, asked to add sour cream and remove the pico de gallo. Ordered 2 half liter bottles of Coke. Im very well aware inflation is out of control. The total came to 46 plus dollars for 2 burritos and 2 drinks. That was with a nominal tip and tax. Seemed pretty high for what I ordered.When I got back to the house, both burritos had pico in them. First world problems, I know. Spending 30 minutes picking the tomatoes out of the burritos was irritating. 4.00 for a bottle of Coke seems really high.Its often really busy and its impossible to open your food to check if its right. I trusted the order was correct as it was read back to me correctly at the register when I placed the order. Better quality control would be much appreciated.Ill definitely give them another shot, but I would make sure you check your order before you leave with it, if possible.

Rolled tacos were ok. But they were advertised as 5 on Uber eats and I only received 4. I ordered an 8 oz side of guacamole. Tasted like it’s been sitting in the fridge for 4 days. Literally the worst guacamole I’ve ever had. The guacamole that was on the rolled tacos was good so you could tell this had been sitting for a while. Also no flavor just tasted like salt. Nacho cheese dip was ok but from the picture it looked like queso dip. On arrival it is obviously canned nacho cheese from smart and final. I’d never order this place again. This is my go-to breakfast burrito spot!Even though I recently moved from Escondido to Oceanside, I will still occasionally make a morning drive back just to get a breakfast burrito. My personal favorite is the Asada with added cheese. The burritos are also big enough that my wife and I can split one and both be quite full.Also shout out to the best salsa bar around. This was going to be our third time going to this place. The first time I tried their tacos at a church event and they were delicious. My husband loved their burritos. The last time we had ordered rolled tacos, however, the shredded beef smelled spoiled. It is not a normal smell even though it had extra stuff on top of it. We took it back and the cook didn’t try to argue back but the one who had a problem was the cashier. Apparently her it was not spoiled and that the reason it smelled like that was because their shredded beef comes from cans?? I am sorry, but overall meat should not smell especially after being fried?! The sad part is that if they thought frying it was going to be not noticeable, but it was after our first bite. Please be careful as spoiled food can cause food poisoning. As for the cashier, she seriously needs to focus on her job and not intervene on something that doesn’t pertain to her.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I was taking food to go on my motorcycle and they packaged everything in a separate container so it would fit in my backpack. They have chips in the lobby that are really good and multiple salsa/hot sauce options. Both of the ones I tried were very good. My Chile was a little tough but the enchiladas were excellent and cooked all the way through, unlike most local Mexican restaurants. I will definitely be back and I am happy I found such a great spot!

Sayulitas Mexican Food showed up on my Facebook feed the other day. They were advertising a daily special that looked awesome. I saw they were local, so I decided to check them out.I got myself a California burrito and not only was it delicious, it was huge!! I also got a Beef burrito, and it was very satisfying. Two words, PACMAN FRIES. I recommend asking for Nacho cheese instead of shredded, it will change your life. I havent ad anything on their menu that I havent loved, and Ive tried a lot. So I was reluctant to try this new place because I’ve had a lot of disappointing Mexican food over the past 10 years (gristly, tasteless carne). I have seen a lot of people and ads on Facebook raving about how good Sayulitas was so I finally gave them a try. I ordered food for me,my wife, and my 3 year old daughter over the phone for takeout. When I went to pick up the food I was surprised by all of the great salsas they had at the salsa bar so I got some of every sauce they had to try them. When I got home I opened my food and it’s looked soooo good it was Pac-Man fries and carne asada fries for my wife and daughter. It had really good taste and the whole time while eating I was telling my wife how I found my new favorite Mexican spot. That same night I started feeling very nauseous and my stomach was hurting a lot and I had diarrhea. Then my wife started with the same symptoms as me and sure enough my daughter started throwing up and my wife soon followed. I didn’t throw up until 4am that morning I have a pretty strong stomach but even I couldn’t keep the food down. Me and my family got food poisoning from this food and it lasted for 3 days. Now every time I drive by that restaurant I want to puke just looking at it.
