This is an amazing place to spend the weekends in a beautiful and quiet place with wonderful views. You can also swim in crystal clear river 😍🥰☺️😇

April 2021. This location is only accessible through a small park that is gated and locked up most of the time per other reviews.Theres virtually no street parking in the immediate neighborhood unless youre a resident...so its not really possible to park on the street and walk in.To my surprise, when I got there this time - the gate was open - so I was able to drive in and park in the small parking lot.The park is small and has one picnic table. To get to the river, you can go down a flight of metal steps or take the path nearby to your left.This is a beautiful spot with clay banks by the river. There are some trails into the wooded area away from the houses overlooking the river. When I was there there were two young guys collecting garbage and hauling it out - which was great to see!

They only open the gate for parking in the winter. During the spring and summer they close it. The reason for that is because people abuse it and try and live their in the warmer months which sucks for us who live in Carmichael!!!

Lots of running water. No raft or kayak access though. Or something like that according to the sign or maybe was it that once the gates were closed you couldnt use it

Drove 10 miles to seek refugee from the insane heat. Gate closed to parking lot and no on street parking available. Gas costs $5.30/gl and nowhere to cool off. Sitting in my car with running AC…. It’s expensive being poor. Unfortunate.

Great view, peaceful, calm, relaxing setting. Great place to cool down and enjoy the waterside. But oncein a while people dont put their pets on leashes, so Ive had a few times where my children have gotten afraid. But we wouldnt let a few people ruin it for us all. Also, the parking isnt so great.

Good river access, if you can find a parking spot within 2 miles of the place. The designated parking lot is never open, as in, Ive literally never seen it open. Homeless hang out along the trails, but go far enough and youll find some very nice parts of the river with little but you and nature.

A small parking area in a residential neighborhood off Fair Oaks boulevard allows you to walk to the river in a minute or two, literally. Theres a beautiful stretch of area where you can sit and catch some rays or allow your dog to jump in the river. There are even garbage cans to dispose of your waste. Remember to clean up after your dog please!

No complaints, I went there with my sisters and dogs. Theres a nice walking trail and its not over crowded. Also if you can find parking, its free!

They have locks on the parking gates but no sign indicating why!!? I try to look on the website for river access I don’t see anything. I heard there trying to make you pay to park which is absolutely ridiculous. I understand some spots but this place it’s not even that big enough! I guess its because it’s by houses Nice scenery peaceful no sand unfortunately!

Nice place for river access in a Carmichael neighborhood. Free parking, one picnic table, about 10 parking spots. There are metal steps that take you down to the claybanks along the river or you can walk down the path which is steep but not too difficult.

One of my favorite spots at the river but it does get over crowded sometimes. *theres no parking at Sarah Court, everone has to park down the street in the neighborhood in front of one of the nice houses.its about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the river.

This place is terrible. There is always garbage on the ground. I always see some homeless person camping out here with all their junk or creeping around. You cant park anywhere around here either. The whole neighborhood is marked no parking. Dont waste your time. Theres no bank to chill on... bird doodie all over the place. The river environment is ever changing so I check this place out during the summer...Im always picking up garbage here. Try River Bend instead. Its across the river off of Folsom Blvd. It has a huge picnic area beaches and plenty of trails for short and easy hikes.

Sarah Court is a small river access with a single set of stairs down a bank to a bluff about 3 feet high to the water at its current low level. The water can be lower and be high enough to reach to top of the stairs. The footpath along the river edge goes only a few yards to the right but for miles to the left. You cannot launch water craft there.

Though small, this is a great spot for relaxing on the American River. There is a small grassy area and a single picnic table, but access is severely limited by an 8 tall iron gate and fence which is more often locked than open.

I get it this is a nice nice area but the residents are really rude its like okay I got into an accident my car has not been fixed yet cuz were waiting on the insurance but I dont like it when I have the residents every 5 minutes driving by and staring at me Im not homeless I live in a nice place its just I liked the name of it cuz Sarah but the gates were locked for vehicles and they have the walkthrough gate but its too far to walk with dogs during this time of year and the temperature it is today.

Nice river access, pretty secluded as there is no parking, you have to find parking elsewhere and walk over. Its a nice place to swim, relax and enjoy the wildlife. There is a beaver family that lives there.

Couldnt let the dog off the leash as the water was super high and super fast. But its literally on the water. No 5 stars as the homeless population also knows of this spot. Not many, but they are there with all their bags so they are very noticeable. They left me alone though.
