The most liberal indoctrination 2024 graduation commencement experience that Ive ever witnessed. One long affirmative action speech about Mexican and women being victims. The most absolute garbage and academic fraud Ive ever listened to, the superintendent president Angelica Garcia, used her platform as an opportunity to preach her liberal politics and tell her students to go out and vote for liberal democratic policies. Half the commencement speech was in Spanish Hispanic students were ever able to get ahead considering how oppressive the entire world was against them. This graduation was nothing about acknowledging academic success. It was a Mexican power rally and an opportunity to phrase affirmative action and vaulting programs. Im surprised they werent quoting Che Guevara. And thank you senator Mike McGuire for your uplifting re-election speech which focused entirely on how impressive it is that people here illegally dont get to vote for you. This is the state of America today and as a veteran it makes me sick.. Academic institutions are being used to groom and indoctrinate young people into believing in socialist policies. And this is why California economy is tanking and people with money in education are leaving for texas. Absolutely disgusted.

Awesome Junior college with so much to offer as far as resources and support to start any educational goals. So many certificates available through SRJC. Resources college clubs etc! Wonderful staff in every department on campus!

I differ from all it (your depts) offer but to you only, i do not like the one student pick for a so much but you have to sell your family in their rituals. Night classes must be spooky on the Hallowen board.i know the feeling at night again, if no answer God Blessed Me with my FAMILY Never!NO once again as No I decline or want to do with your negative works. This is the best College! I will graduate this year in Studio Arts!! I love the variety of classes, the amazing teachers, the gorgeous campus, all of the student services, and the tutoring availability! Its a peaceful place to attend college! All of the students are so super nice and genuine human beings.

Great place for anyone to get a college education. Saw people as young as 12 and as old as I could imagine. Had some fantastic professors and some not so fantastic ones (as with any university). Staff in general were great. The campus is beautiful. Not exactly covered, so bring an umbrella if it rains, but it looks so good. I miss that beautiful library to study in so much.Lots of resources if youre willing to look around. Location is great. People come from up and down the 101 to get that SRJC education. Lots of really friendly people too.

Best JC in the entire Bay Area. The courses that are offered span over many subjects. The programs and available support for students is top notch. Gorgeous campus. Seriously breathtaking and well taken care of. Student housing will be on site as of next year for the students and the housing office just opened up to start accepting applications. Their transfer program is awesome for students to take part in enabling students toward a bachelors degree entering UC/CSU as a Junior and completing within 2 years. Highschool dual enrollment is accepted and is an awesome way to start the journey early toward higher education. Going back to school saved my life and I am forever grateful to all the wonders that Santa Rosa Junior College can give, and help one to grow themselves in whatever direction ones journey entails, whether young or old, new or returning.

Great college! I’ve taken classes at two other college campuses and this one is by far my favorite. I’ve been with SRJC for two years now and have just been accepted into their nursing program. Signing up for classes here was fairly easy (as easy as signing up to a college can get). The financial aid office staff is very knowledgeable and save you a lot of hassle and time. They offer a huge variety of subjects and a good amount of sections for each class. I’ve found the teaching staff to be very caring and knowledgeable on the subjects being taught. They really do care for their students and want you to succeed. I would definitely recommend this college!

One of if not the best JC in California. The athletic department is always top of the game no matter what sport. The academics arent too shabby either. Dorms are getting built on campus which will make going to school and living in Santa Rosa that much easier. #thepuddingcreektrestle

This place doesnt feel like a junior college. The quality of education is top-notch. The campus is beautiful, clean, and has many modern buildings. Sometimes it feels Im not paying enough for such a great school! Food and parking are the biggest issues. Otherwise, I couldnt be happier with this school.

The curriculum is challenging and prepares students to transfer to all universities. The large scholarship program is helpful. There is free tutoring, which I use a lot. The theater program has great shows. The campus is peaceful and well taken care of. I thoroughly enjoy attending Santa Rosa Junior College. Thank you.

The veterans affairs office here is the worst Ive ever had to deal with. They kept mixing my paper work up with someone elses, got me denied several times and made me look pretty bad.But the main administration and disabilities people arent any better. Literally had to cry to get this place to hand me back a copy of the documents Id handed them a few months prior.

I have attended four colleges and SRJC is the very best of all of them. The teaching level is superlative, the campus is beautiful, and the cost is so unbelievably low for the return -- you couldnt ask for anything more. It helps that the college owns part of a bank, Exchange Bank in Sonoma, and the community has overwhelmingly supported this terrific teaching facility. I cant say enough good things about it, from its outstanding computer labs and teaching, to the Shone Farm it owns, to the police, fire and rescue division open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Windsor, the 40 million dollar cooking school, the great theater and arts programs -- the entire place is a wow. Some students never get to visit all of it, and they are really missing out! Its the greatest!

If you want to get a higher education at a better price theres nowhere else you want to go then Santa Rosa Junior college. They have the best staff of any junior college I have ever gone to and rivals any college around the area in my opinion. If you want to have a beautiful campus while learning in an extracurricular area with many departments this is where you should go.

The Santa Rosa Junior College is a boon to the area. Ive had to work with them on many levels and almost all interactions have been positive. The teachers are excellent and the staff is helpful and available. They have a tremendous assortment of classes and are ideal for an undecided high school graduate or someone returning to school after a long absence..

Love it ! Ive been a student now for about 6 semesters all the teachers are super passionate and helpful they are there to support you in your education! Financial aid, BOG fee waiver, EOPS student!! So much help with scholarships and just all sorts of help to go to school for parents or challenged students !! Love it from he bottom of my heart ❤️THANK YOU!!

Ive taken all the drawing and painting classes offered at this school as well as a few music classes and two film history courses. All the instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and kind. My only objection is that it is heavily attended and classes fill very quickly. Best to log on at midnight the day classes open to have a chance at a seat.I must make special mention of the Jazz History class taught by Bennett Friedman. He is a wold class tenor sax player and played for us now and then. Best class Ive taken anywhere, ever, hands down.

My x boyfriend worked at this college thru the carpenters union a few years back and he said the union got the job because the college was fined for breaking cal osha practices . Maybe practice and teach better E and O ethics .Great college . I love it .

The campus is beautiful. The layout is helpful if you need to get exercise between classes, as I did after having a baby. All three of my children attended The Childrens Development Center, as I attended classes. The support services are amazing on campus, if you need that extra helping support, as I did, once buckling down and becoming a reentry student, when I was 35 years of age! I had tried going to college after high school, and I was not ready or willing to put in the needed energy and time necessary for a quality education. I was more than ready to get serious about my studies once I returned to the SRJC.The educational plan was clear because I utilized EOPS, and the counseling departments, to help guide me this time. Also. I took suggestions. Like college success classes and library science so I could utilize the campus to my best advantage. Once I got over my ego, and learned to study, I began raising my GPA. I needed a lot of extra help and again took suggestions for college success and I signed up and used the tutorial center everyday instead of jetting home and putting off my school studying until never! I found that the disability resources wasnt just for those with physical disabilities but the invisible kind, like my learning disabilities and other physiological issues. If it were not for the Disability Resource staff, and Audrey White, specifically, I never would have graduated! I love SRJC, and all the patient and wonderful administration. It is true parking sucks, but I found if I arrived early enough, I had time to study and eat and be on time for class plus find parking. The book, buy-back, is definitely needing renovations as it feels like a big scam:-( They say theyll buy back books but, then half the time they wont and they only return a tiny amount of your money and it feels extremely aggravating as well as just being rippled off. Other than that, I got out of the JC what I put in. If you apply yourself, and stay focused on your studies instead of the distractions of life, you will find that, when you graduate, you will have an excellent education to transfer to a university of your choice. Oh, I also applied for and received NUMEROUS, free grants and scholarships after my GPA rose, and I had learned to write a proper essay. Formatting is important, not just content. I am a proud alumni, and so are my family members as well as 2 of my children and my nephew. And, I had 2 family members who worked at the campus police department for years and they are both two of the kindest, caring people you will ever meet! So, I dont know what the problem was for the previous poster, but I never had any harassment from anyone at the JC. I recommend this college to anyone who wants an excellent education.

Class of 2017, and transferred to Sonoma State the following year. Earned my AS-T in Administration of Justice. SRJC is a beautiful campus and has high quality professors, curriculum and wonderful students. Would recommend to anyone thats needing to finish up GE, save a few thousand on their first two years of undergrad, or would like to just take some classes for fun.

What a beautiful week working at the ⭐SRJC⭐ The grass going to the library is a lovely shade of green. The birds are chirping, and the memories that come to mind. And event that I can remember is the Day Under The Oaks...what nostalgia. Question that came from me during and after the event were, Do I want to be a nurse or a dental assistant?Life is going to keep going.Loose the distractions and live your life to the fullest. Continue to build that legacy.

Linda Schoen - Communication Studies - Santa Rosa Junior College - Media 4 Instructor:Very unclear with grading and not forgiving to any extenuating circumstances whatsoever. Control freak! emails and sends reminders to students about just-created assignments or assignments due in 8+ hours. Has a negative attitude with students who are trying to clarify information. If theres a better option for the class, I would take that class.Even though I got an A in this course, I strongly dont recommend this instructor. The class assessments are very weird. For example we had an assignment to do a presentation about SRJC 100 anniversary, with the fact that the assignment have nothing to do with the course. She asked us to take photos on campus in an online class.This is a very hard course. Lots of homework. Dont procrastinate. She has all the homework locked so you cant access the next step until you complete the first one. I found the content of the class to be extremely boring. Make sure you site all your sources properly she is quick to call plagiarism even if you didnt do it on purpose.I was thoroughly disappointed! Class is not structured well! Very heavy reading! The class covers 2-3 chapters each week, exams are poorly put together (a mix of multiple choice, short answer, essay questions) and although I studied, it didnt matter. I finished with an A, but I do not recommend this instructor.Tests are difficult but make sure you have the text book. Make sure to read over your grades test because some answers are marked wrong due to spelling errors by the professor or if you capitalize a word when the answer key is lower case. Wouldnt take her class again but needed to for a requirement. Good luckLinda has a chip on her shoulder, and an attitude she takes with every student. She doesnt respond to messages. She cant be bothered to answer any questions you might have about the course. I would take any course but this one. Dont walk run from this class and her.Online summer class, so 2-4 chapters per week, about 70-125 pages each. online lectures do not incorporate digital media- just pdfs to download. It was disappointing that a mass media class did not use more then 1-2 types of mediums. I didnt always feel the grading was objective. Very dependent on text book... drill and kill.I would never recommend Lindas class. I asked her to check to see if she received my assignment ok. And it was like pulling teeth she wont do it. Shes not a good teacher at all. Dont take this class.Teacher interaction is non existent. She is unorganized - will post only part of an assignment and doesnt post the other part (necessary to do the work) until a few days before its due, but then wont extend the due date. She also assigned an enormous amount of assignments, reading, and quizzes, to the point that she cant keep up with gradingonline lectures are pdfd notes that she posts. There really is no teacher interaction, unless you email her. Responses are limited. She assigned so much work that she cant keep up with grading it timely. Test questions are extremely difficult to understand and answer. Term clues are limited and extremely vague and ambiguous.This teacher is SNARKY. The first time I asked her for clarification (this was an online class), I had to read through two entire paragraphs of criticism and nagging before she even addressed my question. Future questions I asked, and questions I saw by others on the forum, were met with a similar reaction by her. She has an attitude problem.

As an adult returning to school in a new city to a new JC, my enrollment process was streamlined, the class availability for my graduation needs and personal schedule was amazing. Despite some difficulty with getting my transcript from my last college, the counselor was able to still keep me on track for my AA/transfer without it. My only complaints are parking, and time efficiency of financial aid in getting my checks to me. Parking can be an utter nightmare, so be there 45 min before class, or be prepared to have to trek across campus to your class. Maybe financial aid needs more technicians or something, but waiting 8 weeks into the semester to receive financial aid just doesnt cut it for some students. Some of us cut work hours in order to go to school, and not receiving financial aid in a timely manner can make or break a student. My suggestion, call financial aid office once a week to check status. SRJC is a great fast track into Sonoma State or for someone like me who plans on attending Empire Law School!!

A few years ago, when I attended his school, I absolutely loved it. My teachers loved their subjects and were very happy to help their students in any way they could. But recently there’s been a horrendous change in the new focus on race. My son, who does not have a racist bone in his body, was forced to read a racist book for his English class, Between the World and Me, by Tanehisi Coates. The writing itself was even horrible. To think that an English teacher would force racism on his students is amazing. I am angry at this turn of events. I didn’t think that this craziness in universities would touch this JC snd I’m Very sad for today’s students.

Not at all great. I had an awesome german prof and the rest were terrible. I was so disappointed because I had heard good things. The campus is nice and the parking isnt great but I didnt have too much trouble. Financial aid was good. :)

Disappointment! Not at all what its said to be. Some of the students/staff would say nasty things about other students/staff while I would observe, the defamation in the midst of students and staff here is undeniable. Unethical and flippant, and the JC hiring and letting these twisted oppressors to continue to work here might point to their own contorted characteristics. Were all humans that make mistakes, in that view keep in mind that even though this school is ranked one of the best in the nation, dont be fooled its pervaded with snaky management and followers which might make you sense like youve left this placed seriously tortured, even some of the teachers have animosity towards each other. I had a teacher that was teaching their last semester before retirement, and in front of the whole class spilled the beans about this organization, that teacher said, I hate to tell you guys this, but, they dont care about your education here. I always knew this I just needed a realist professional to confirm the dark truth I was feeling about this institution. Most teachers here teach only for the sole reason to collect a paycheck, and not to help further the students education like this academy implies. Its evident.

Be careful getting your transcripts sent to another college because you might have to pay for it multiple times if the college doesn’t do it correctly, not convenient for a college student to pay so much money for their mistake. After paying so much for schooling already.
