Its a good hotel for your convention. Staff was very courteous. Hotel is spread across a large area. If its your first time here, its hard to find your room after checking in or easy to get lost. Please provide better signage or staff should clearly show how to find your room by accompanying guests to appropriate elevators. Many guests indicated getting lost the first time, and had to go 3-4 times to front desk to ask for directions. Nothing great but good food. Very near Great America amusement park and Intel. No alternative restaurants or convenience store within a short distance of the property. One has to walk almost a mile.

Well, I dont give many reviews but feel obligated in this case. I travel a great deal for work and have nothing but positive thoughts about this this establishment.Thank you to Fernando, Melissa and Alexandra at the front desk for always making me feel at home.Thank you Anita in the concierge and the wonderful people that greet me at breakfast. Very nice Marriott thats a very busy place. I was surprised at how much traffic that place saw both inside and out. The rooms were new, fresh, and clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. My only complaint is that they seemed to need more staff at check in, the bar and all around. With as busy as it is, they need more help. Pricing was expensive but a good value.

Had a wonderful business trip with an overnight stay at the Marriott in Santa Clara. The hotel was clean with a nice room, the staff was curtious and accommodating, parking is a little high ($40) and not waved with my Titanium status, and the MClub lounge was spectacular. The lounge had delectable appetizers, a wonderful bar, and great deserts. Open 24 hours with snack and drinks. The buffet provided due to status was delightful, nutritious, and satisfying. The bar drinks were weak for the price.No upgrade.

I stayed here while attending Google IO at Shorline nearby(ish). It was a good stay. Rooms are quite and clean. The setup is interesting though... its made up of a bunch of small/short 2-4 story units. Its in a nice, wide-open area with a decent breeze.

Solid Marriott with low value for the nightly rate they charge. Nothing fancy, nothing special, even though I was upgraded to a better room as a Bonvoy Gold member, the room didnt justify the rate. They failed to inform me that they were closing their pool for renovations during my stay, so I had to check out after one night and cancel the remaining nights. I happily found a much better and cheaper option nearby. This could have been avoided with better communication from the hotel (they even sent me incorrect information a few days before my stay). The enthusiasm of the front desk staff could be improved. The location is not very convenient when it comes to walking to nearby restaurants and the Walmart, as you have to take a detour and use 3 traffic lights when technically you only need to cross one street.

The room is ok. I was in the north tower. My issues with the room were that the toilet seat would not stay up without holding it, and the lighting in the room was too bright in some directions and too low on other directions.The service was good. The hostess in the M Club is outstanding and full of energy.The parking is expensive, and I find the garage had so many pillars and closed-off spaces that it is not the most convenient to use. The QR code cards to go in and out are much more reliable than the room keys used to be. $40 per day seems high.The location is useful for my local office and a variety of restaurants.

The hotel property is fantastic- a great gym good bar and clean and nice facilities.The rooms let the hotel down. They are nice and comfortable but let down by the loudest air conditioning system known to man which make it hard to sleep.I was with a group of 4 and everyone reported a similar experience.

Unfortunately the wired Internet in .y room didnt work. Which meant my TV didnt work for my stay. Engineering showed up and they said a ticket would need to be entered. Checkin was great, rooms are spacious and nice. Pool was good, fitness center offered enough to do a small CrossFit based workout. Hoping to receive my money back for upgrading to a King size room with a broken TV though.

The Santa Clara Marriott is a fantastic hotel in San Jose. I recently stayed there and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the amenities. The hotel is conveniently located near the Santa Clara Convention Center and other attractions. I would definitely stay there again.

Regular hide out during biz trips, i suggest taking floor 4 and above - these are renovated end of the property. Be ready to handle the noise of trams early in the morning, it’s a great place for location, Levis stadium in walking distance and sunnyvale is 10 mins away.

Disappointing. I fly to this location each time when the 49ers make the playoffs and it seems like their customer service just keeps going downhill. From not having my mobile key upon arrival to having to wait in a single line as a Gold Elite Member to continued excuses for poor service. Might have to find a new hotel to be a member of.

The staff is not so friendly and any information you seek is met with a lot of hostility. You dont get the room you book and are given something else. You have to ask them to look at the reservation for them to realise that they have given you the wrong room. The breakfast isnt free either but their room rates are a premium. The water given in the rooms is also abysmal. Even a child wont find it enough. And if you by chance pick up the other water bottle, youre charged a mammoth $6. How can and when did Marriott hotels get this bad?

A pretty remarkable stay that really surprised me. From the amazing staff to the clean and updated rooms, you couldn’t go wrong. The gym was excellent and if you’re lucky enough to order room service, it’s incredible. I highly recommend ordering from the room service or restaurants in the building - fresh and local veggies with incredibly well seasoned dishes.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Santa Clara Marriott. Big hotel as you would expect in the heart of Convention Country. It was fairly light in terms of capacity, so I find it a little silly to have to pay for parking. Rooms were nice. Bed was a little too firm for my liking, as were the pillows. Sliding door led to a balcony, which was really nice. Although the slider was left unlocked. Good thing I checked. Not a huge deal as it would be difficult for someone to access the balcony, but you get what I’m saying. I’ll stay here again if the price is right like it was on this trip.

Terribly disappointed with the service and quality of rooms. Low quality refrigerator in the room with absolutely zero cooling. This should have been checked by house keeping before check-in but not. Even the freezer at reception was not cold enough. Lost some important stuff because of this mishap and yet the hotel seem to be more focused on indemnification instead of care or concern. They charge an arm and leg for the stay but absolutely no value for the money they are charging customers. Very unbecoming of a Marriott brand.

Excellent, easy to access parking. On-site restaurant has breakfast available at 6am. Room service was prompt during peak evening hours, and all of the food was great.While the current M lounge location is not huge, it is certainly quiet after 8pm or so if you want a snack in peace and dont want to visit the crowd at the bar.Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were both comfortable and quiet. I will definitely stay here for future business trips.

I only spent one night at this Marriott, but lked the hotel. The room was modern, renovated and clean, with a nice balcony that overlooked a large pool. While I didnt use them, I noticed there was also a hot tub and seating area around a fire pit. The lobby was brightly lit and spacious. I stopped by the M Lounge (which is open to guests who book a room with lounge access or have status). It was large, with a nice coffee maker. I noticed that you can order food and drinks there too (for a few).My only complaint was that the bathroom was a tad bit small, which wasnt an issue for me as a solo traveler, but I could see being problematic if you are with a family.

Great stay! The bed and pillows were comfortable; the room was clean. My only issue was that the original room I was given was right next to the electrical room, and there was a constant humming noise. Fortunately, I was able to change to a different room, but I mention it here so that others know about this. My other issue is that the room I stayed in had an adjoining door. With this type of room, you can hear a lot of noise from next door, especially if the people talk a lot. Other than this, it was a good stay. Great location if you are going to the amusement park, Great America.

I was there for a science fiction convention, BayCon, and the rooms were suited for the events I attended, the staff made sure there were places for my power chair and ramps to access the stage when necessary, something not a given for disabled panelists like me. Everyone on staff was nice and engaged with the attending members including going overboard to help a friend of mine keep her book launch within budget. Food was a little pricey, but they provided cafeteria options at a reasonable cost.

I like this hotel. I stayed here for business. The room was spacious and clean. Service is overall OK. Housekeeping did a great job turning the room into a brand-new one. The bathroom is clean. The bar has decent food and drinks. It is super close to the San Jose Airport, which is a huge plus. The only downside is it can be a bit expensive to stay. Nonetheless, I will come back for business or leisure.

Booked for 1 night on Sunday October 08, 2023, place was super busy do to the NFL game at Levis Stadium, checking in took a long time system and employees were overwhelmed to the max, room was excellent and service on the date while slow they were doing their best, however after a few days I noticed they charge my credit card twice, I called and spoke with a customer rep and was told that it was the hold for incidental damages and it would take 9-10 days to fall off, even know it was charged not a hold, waited a few more days and called again only to be told again the same thing, these people dont know the difference between a hold and a charge, today 11/08/2023 I called again to their customer service number and after explaining the problem all over again I was told all they could do was open a case to investigate my claim, in other words their wheel to refund money after they charge their members/customers need some greasing, of course Im calling my credit card company to dispute the additional charge but shouldnt have to do it if Marriott would just do whats honest.If you stay here just double check charges to your account.

I’ve stayed in quite a few of the hotels in Santa Clara and this hotel exceeded all expectations for the area — the Pool is large and under utilised, the whirlpool follows much the same and the Gym is by far the most extensive — highly recommend this hotel. Top tip, ask for a room with a Garden View.

Last weekend I stayed at the Marriott Santa Clara to attend the Taylor Swift concert. As you can imagine the hotel was sold out so I was concerned the staff would be a bit overwhelmed. BUT, everything was so well organized and ran so smoothly I just had to give them an outstanding review! I have to mention that April, who checked us in, did an amazing job! She was so friendly and warm and took the time to help us with some special requests. Kevin, who was greeting people at the front door was also friendly and extremely helpful in answering my many questions. The hotel is a very nice property and very well managed. I spoke to Herschel one of the managers during the week before I arrived and he was very helpful to answer my questions about the rooms I had booked. The emails from Jeff Fairbank, the Director of Operations regarding the checkin process and the options to get to the concert greatly helped.All in all this event was so well managed I was amazed! Thank you to all of the Marriott Santa Clara staff!

I just cancelled a 3 week stay at this hotel after the first night, i walk into my room today to find my bed infested with ants 🐜 i go to the front desk and ask them the manager was aware of the problem and asked if i wanted the engineers to come spray the room or switch rooms i asked for a new room every room( over 10 ) we went too had spider weds spiders and ants crawlingMy first night i ask the bartender for an old fashioned he brings the glass with regular crushed ice and a fly in the drink i complained and he gave me Atitude and remade the drink super watery and undrinkableAfter i cancelled the reservation i requested a waive the cancellation fee ! She was happy to do it thankfully

We came there for work. We spent there five days and there was no hot water in the shower for the entire 5 days. The water werent cold but it wasnt hot and on December when it is cold outside, you expect the water to be boiled. It doesnt seem only in my room.The AC made a horrible noise when it was on.The room was on the same level as the parking lot and whoever went outside could see me in it.It was probably my fault for not complaining but due to my working hours there during those 5 days I had no willing to come after such a long day to the reception. I just wanted to get in the room and go to sleep after a nice hot shower.Also the breakfast is not included. And a price like this you expect the room to include breakfast and Ill charge you $20 for this small one. We ended up eating bagels across the street everyday.Other than that the room was okay. The business comfortable, there was a tv, big enough and clean.It wasnt only in my room. My other two co-workers had the same problems as I and we were on three separate rooms.

Wifi is $15 a day unless you sign up for a Marriott account. The sign up process is filled with errors and problems.My ground floor room had a large window that looked directly at a beige wall. Occasionally dumpsters would roll past. The room is modern but poorly put together. For example, loose screws are visible in a number of places. The walls are very thin and you can hear quite a bit of noise from your neighbors. You can hear all of the sounds from the hallway perfectly, including word for word conversations.The hotel is located in a sea of highways and parking lots. There is nothing close by to walk to. If you are staying here, it is almost certainly for work.

I travel for work, and this is probably one of my top 2 or 3 overnight locations. This is a fantastic property for a variety of reasons.1. They are one of the few Marriott properties that get coffee--fresh brewed, self-serve, and it is usually out around 4:30 am. SCORE!!2. The gym is phenomenal for a hotel gym. Lots of capacity, great equipment, and they stock it with bottled water.3. Speaking of water, thank you for bringing back the 16 ounce bottles of water.4. The bar area is a really cool vibe with outdoor seating. The menu is good enough for a hotel. The drinks are a little on the expensive side but otherwise, huge win here, as well.5. The M Club lounge is still operating under limited hours but the breakfast is very good, the lounge is a wonderful place to hang out, and the coffee/espresso machine is really nice.

Here, for a work event that is directly adjacent to the hotel. It is very convenient in tharmt aspect.I unexpectedly encountered a Beyoncé concert and its lovely guests. Lots of silver glitter!All in all, a nice spot. Professional bar and lobby staff. The property itself is lazy. It is not up to Marriott standards but benefits from its proximity to Levis Stadium and Silicon Valley in general.Aloft, Element, and Fairfield are all close, and cleaner, more modern, slightly austere properties.

The supervision at Bosc & Bartlett restaurant is horrible. I was waiting for someone to take my dinner order, and no one showed up. I went to the front desk, and it turned out the waiter was the bartender. Why in the world at a huge hotel would they be short staffed? The next evening, I waited again, and the only available person was the bartender. I dont blame it on him. I blame the lack of service to management. I wont be back. Prefer Holiday Inn Express who include a complimentary breakfast with a lot to choose from versus Marriotts complimentary breakfast only for their elite members. Talk about a bad first impression.

So! As I am climbing the Elite status with Marriott I get to meet so many people, different personalities from all walks of life, my personal favorite pass time. The hospitality and travel industries have been and always be a part of my 35 plus years experience including working for Expedia, Avis, Hertz, I actually graduated with a travel agent certification and later on I finished my Expert in tourism degree...My review will be in sections starting from great good and not so..My son and I are in Building C of the property.It is in the back side of the property, a low level 2 story buildings with a fantastic sliding door you can walk out, right to the parking area for these buildings, giving you full privacy coming and going, very quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. A perfect location for those who like to have complete rest after a long day of work.The outside is not at all attractive, no real view of anything, tucked away from the front desk, bar, pool, restaurant which one can walk to or drive to the front, after all, your car is right there...Room -Rooms are small with an option to have connecting rooms.The shower without tub is tiny not really geared for Handicapped persons.The beds - So far all the Marriott hotels we stayed in a renovated rooms have super comfortable beds you hardly want to get out of. One is sure to get a nice night sleep.Another option I like a lot is to be able to choose between Feather or foam pillows.Nice large TV with connection to video games (a good thing if you, your friends and or your kids are gaming addicts)Carpet - It seems like the renovated rooms (Marriott Santa Clara and Delta Santa Clara) have a bouncy feel to it as if the underlay/padding is made of a rubbery foam as if you are walking on a cushy mattress... So comfortable especially if your feet get sore throughout the day.Not so-The colors are boring and very plain as if you are in a Rothchild property melting into the surrounding area.Decor - Also very plain in earthy colors, nothing to write home about unless earthy toned colors are your thing.Fridge is very small, no microwave (cant even pay to rent one) big deficit as far as I am concerned especially if you have a strict diet you must follow.The air-conditioner is a love and dislike kind -Dislike - Very loud, startling at times especially if you are like me - an uber light sleeper.Love - My 29 year old son claims and I tend to potentially agree that the sound of the AC to him, is as a White noise, helping him fall asleep and stay asleep (not that he has issues with falling and staying asleep even if a full herd of Elephants passes by LOL)...Service -Id like to give EXTRA codos to Briana at the front desk..So nice, attentive, patient and always happy to answer any question or concern.A nice hidden Gem with adorable big dimples thatcan make anyone smile back at her. She seems tough at first, brings to life the dont judge a book by its cover until her true self comes out with sparkling white teeth and her deep dimples.2nd person Id like to highlight is Patty from housekeeping.. We tend to ignore these people but once you give them attention and not necessarily with money but with a smile, an attempt to communicate with them as they ARE an important part of the upkeep of the property, maintenance and keeping your room clean and sparkly as the twinkle you see in their eyes when you show them the respect they DESERVE!I hope you like my review, I write a lot of these on Yelp and Google so check me out and like them so I can get higher status of a local guide and reach out to as many people as possible hopefully GLOABALLY.My mission -Help me in my journey to elevate as many people with focus on those (women and children)who cannot find their voice, have no voice with 2 desperate needs-1. Lots of great Marriott options in the San Jose area, picked this hotel as it was convenient location wise and full-featured.The hotel is relatively easy to get to, not too far from the highway and a decently sized complex. Nice spacious drop off area (yay!), but have to pay for parking (makes me sad, especially when there are hundreds of parking spots). The hotel definitely looks older, but the interior must have been remodeled. Lobby has plenty of spacious seating, and a large bar area (mediocre drink selection). Hallways are super dark - but the rooms themselves are remodeled and comfortable enough. Windows can always be bigger, and bathroom as well. But decent size with luggage storage and place to eat. Wi-Fi worked well.Club lounge had a good breakfast, but wasnt open at other hours (which is odd). There is a nice pool / hot tub area in the middle, but usually too cold to try to venture in.

The staff at this hotel is what makes it great. They are all super helpful and friendly. They really make it an inviting place to be. It was incredibly crowded and busy, but still, every single staff member I interacted with was kind and warm. Wonderful experience.The rooms are clean, comfortable and appointed simply, but well. A little loud on the freeway side but my room on the 14th floor had an expansive view and I love that there was a small balcony.The cheese and fruit platter was a nice touch, and beautiful, but I didnt want any and I felt awful wasting so much food. The mobile key worked for the garage but did not work for my room. Called in to the front desk and no one answers the call. I decided to walk down to the front desk and told them about the issue. They just look at me like Im crazy and did not even smile or say hello. Did not even say sorry. It seems that they dont want to be there. Marriott should hire better front desk support as they are the face of customer. Another issue that seems to be recruisance is the showtime. Please do not offer if you cant get it to work. This is my second Marriott that the Showtime they offer which never works.

This hotel offers some great amenities and has been nicely remodeled, but DO NOT book a room if you would like to get a good night’s sleep. They allow extremely loud events with pounding, base-heavy music until midnight (with the noise of party attendees on top). If you happen to be in a room that is close to one of the event spaces, your windows will rattle. It was unfortunate that we were not alerted to this when we checked in as we had two kids who had to be up at 5:30am for an all day, physically demanding sports event. When I called the front desk, to ask about the noise I was told that “it was a planned event” as if there was nothing that could be done about it. For a hotel that charges this much per night, you can and should do better. If there is a known event planned, providing earplugs or warning the guests you are placing in the potentially affected rooms that they will hear music gives them a chance to speak up and request a quieter room. This is the least you can do. I’m not sure I would stay here again when there are other options with a similar price point close by.

DO NOT STAY HERE! There was blood all over the ceiling and wall and lampshade in my room, but they didn’t change our room because they were understaffed and overwhelmed. There was only one towel in the room and housekeeping was unable to bring another one, even after two hours of waiting. Management ignored both of these requests.When checking out, my bill had $9 in forced charity charges without asking and a $23.44 marketplace charge (their snack shop) that wasn’t mine. The manager (Crystal) refused to remove it, and wouldn’t give an updated billing because she didn’t know how to work the computer.I followed up the next day and it still wasn’t fixed. Same thing the next day. She never took it off and I had to finally ask Marriott accounting for proof of the charges, which proved that it wasn’t mine, and then they finally removed it four days later.During this process, she told her director that I had a negative tone and must’ve hurt her feelings, and that Ops Director decided that it would be better to believe her nonsense and to try to get my Marriott discount (brother works for Marriott) cancelled and my brother—who works in Arizona—to get written up and lose his employee benefits simply because my frustrated tone asked for some accountability.I am a Platinum Elite member and Marriott shareholder, I’ve stayed 600+ nights across the country and never had a single issue. As a Bonvoy member, I feel there were no perks during my stay. The front desk was severely understaffed for the amount of guests on an event weekend. One was mainly taking care of phone calls and the other would assist guests/checking out those making purchase from the market. The fact you can not offer a complimentary breakfast for this price is unacceptable. Upon my arrival, I was not even able to open the Bonvoy app much less use the internet for if it connected, it was too slow to use. It took 1.5 hours for my friends and I to receive our order of wings which is simply outrageous. We ordered as soon as the kitchen opened at 11:30am and when we checked with the staff after an hour, they used the excuse that the kitchen was backed up instead of admitting they forgot to send in our order!There were others who ordered after us, received their food in a timely manner, and finished up/left before we even received ours. I think this will be my last stay. Next time I am in town for a 49ers game, I will be at the Hilton and recommend my friends do the same.

I booked to stay in this hotel for 3 weeks. When checking in the staff said the hotel will lower the cost of parking from 30 dollars to 15 dollars because I’m staying for a long period of time. However on the following week they charged me 30 dollars and said it was 30 since the beginning and there are no policies to lower the parking. I also rented a tesla as the hotel stated that there’s electric charger but they always closed the station for an event which it’s really hard for me to deal with charging my car. There was also a case of three high school kids banging at our door at 1am playing the banging door game. I attended a conference here and stayed for 3 nights. The banquet staff were amazing and went out of their way to help out.While this Marriott was perfect in almost every way, I had to rate it 4 star because of 2 issues. First was the noise issue in the room. Since the building itself is quite old, you will hear a lot from the hallway and your neighbors. Plus, the bathroom noises... you will hear every single toilet being flushed around you!!Second issue I had with my room was the non-functioning TV. I typically dont care for TV in my room, but these are smart TVs with Netflix and few other apps and it was a bummer that throughout my stay it wouldnt work! A great hotel that houses two gaming conventions that I attend. The staff is friendly and its a nice place to stay. They have a large pool with a large part that is super kid friendly as it is only 3 1/2 feet for half of the pool. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes and found out the door battery was dead. They resolved this problem within a few minutes and even gave us a voucher for food and drinks. Learning there is a package acceptance fee and a delivery fee made it the last straw for me. There is no way this place can pass muster as a full service Marriott. It is just an OK place at best. Well, this hotel is way below my expectations. It looks great from the outside but living in it does not feel that great. First, the check-in was quick but the front desk did not provide any information about Wi-Fi access or coffee. When we get into the room we realize that we need to pay for the Wi-Fi, or need to register a membership account to access the Wi-Fi. It is 2022 now and it is the first time I may need to pay for Wi-Fi. Second, the coffee is only available from 6-9am. Third, the room is the opposite of soundproofing. We can hear the people upstairs peeing, flushing the toilet, and the sound, believe me, is loud. The people upstairs keep stomping during the nights and woke me up a few times. The only good thing is the gym, which is often empty and the equipments are in good condition.During the first night, we came to the lobby and asked for Wi-Fi. The front desk told us to wait a second and never came back. We have to switch to another front desk agent to solve our problem.

It was however going through renovation and upgrade which was much needed. Nice pool and reasonable gym. The food choices for in room dining were woeful though. I’m a fan of this hotel. For members gold stars and above, the concierge lounge is pretty nice and spacious. The staff is great. The work out facility is above average especially for cardio equipment. The pool is above average as well. Location is convenient to the hwy 101. For my visit, parking was free since I used mobile checkin. Nice perk to ask for. The room I stayed in had a balcony which is also a nice feature. Otherwise pretty standard room setup for a Marriott.

This is hands down the best Marriott I have ever stayed at, and I stay well over 130 nights every year at hotels, including other Marriott properties in the US. The hotel hardware is standard, nothing too fancy for a Marriott, but they did a good job maintaining it so it feels good. The room is spacious and clean. The part that sets this hotel apart is the service. I asked for some supplies one night, fully expecting it not showing up in 30 minutes given how busy they are, but to my surprise the maintenance guy showed up in 5 minutes within my call. I was very surprised and happy. The platinum breakfast place is big and lots of options to choose from. The oatmeal was out the other day when I was there, talked to the manager, she immediately brought out a whole new bowl of oatmeal. Everywhere else I have stayed at, thats at least 5 minutes wait. Bottom line, this is a very nice hotel to stay in if you are in the bay area. I have actually already adjusted my reservation from Westin to this place. Highly recommend it.

The light switches were not conveniently placed, there were no light switches near the door, I had to search around in the dark for light switches.There werent end tables on both sides of the bed. It was inconvenient for half the people staying in the room. The fitted sheets did not properly fit the mattresses, they were too small and one corner kept coming off. The room was small and cramped and lacked a table. There were not enough places to hang towels in the bathroom. Parking, picking up and dropping off luggage and people was very inconvenient.

Stayed there with my love and two children. My infant son threw up all over the duvet, I called the front desk, unknowingly spoke with the manager, Chris. My son then threw up all over the second duvet and was embarrassed to call the front desk once again but they were understanding and though they didnt have any extra duvets to give us, they did provide us with two thinner blankets. The wool blanket had an awful scent that we just could not get used to, so we ended up not using it. Prices are really great but rooms are fairly outdated. The best part about this hotel is the restraurant. They have really great food with friendly waitstaff and attentive management. The drink lists are quite extensive for various scotches and whiskeys. Prices are a bit steep but the quality more than makes up for this. The hotel itself has a decent spa area that must have been really great a few years ago. The pool seems to have yellowed after old age and looks a little dingy. The customer service is great and there are lots of perks to being a Marriott member such as free wifi and the ability to restrict housekeeping to increase accrued points per night (500). All in all my stay was 4 nights and it was an overall positive experience.

As a Marriott Platinum member they gave me a great experience. It was my daughters birthday and I asked to get an upgrade for one night. They didnt have any rooms available however they did have a presidential suite available exclusively because I asked for her birthday to be special. While the aesthetics & cleanliness of this hotel is 4-5 stars, the service and food ranked 1-2 stars. It doesnt matter how nice it is to look at when your experiences are continuously tarnished with rudeness and poor quality. Our stay was heavily reliant upon on-site dining, which is virtually non-existent. They claim to have a restaurant, which is a handful of tables around their bar, which is IN the lobby of the hotel. While the menu is small, it offers enough of a variety to think you have options. But we tried 7 different things off the menu, all of which tasted bad or had no taste at all. And this was after wondering around looking for a host, finally being told by the bar tender we could sit anywhere, then waiting for 15min for somebody to come to our table and finally asking the bar tender to send somebody over (mind you, the place wasnt busy). We had to ask for silverware, had to ask for our missing meal, ask for our check, water refills, and more. This was on 3 different visits in 3 days. The bar tending services were just as bad. Twice we had a group of 3 people sit down at the bar and have the tender walk back and forth in front of us no fewer than 4 times, and serve OTHER PEOPLE, before we ASKED to be acknowledged. Then he took our order, made our drinks (on the opposite side of the bar when he had everything he needed on our side) and deliver our drinks all while managing to not make eye contact even once. In 40 years of serious travel, Ive never experienced anything like it. Then, when I held onto the bill, mulling over whether or not I wanted to tip, I was pressured to hurry up and sign so he could close out the tab. This was with 2 tenders and 8 customers at the bar. Upon checkout, I was asked How was your stay?, I answered I have mixed reviews. There were a couple of big disappointments. The employee responded by saying So, would you like your bill printed or emailed? Completely baffled by the entire thing, I asked Do you have another restaurant on the premises that I missed? This didnt seem like much of one. The employee answered Yes, right across that hall theres a restaurant. I noted that every time we walked by it, the door was closed and locked. Then he said Yah, its only open for breakfast. Ugh.

Wifi, for example, is 14.95 a day, unless youre a rewards member. I *am* a rewards member and was still charged. Parking is $15 a day for everyone.Theres a allegedly a laundry area, but I didnt see it and (as usual with hotels) sending your laundry out is cost prohibitive. The rooms do not have microwaves or refrigerators (at least mine did not). There are multiple restaurants and a bar on site. This is usually my go-to when Im coming to the area for work. I never realized how huge the property is until I was assigned a room in the courtyard and it took me about 5-10 minutes from the lobby to get to my room (I also had to take a separate elevator that you cant see from the lobby), if an attendant hadnt seen me and walked me to the elevator theres absolutely no way I would have found it.The staff is friendly, and the valet people *always* remember me when Im here. Theyre probably the highlight of this place. They have breakfast and a lounge for Elite members, and a decent sized gym for a hotel. Ive only had one maintenance issue with a room and it was solved by the time I had left for work and returned. I will likely continue to stay here when I need a hotel in the area as its close to my work, friendly and nice to be remembered each time I come back.

I used the mobile checkin and app room key. App key was not working somehow. Requested a higher floor but got a 3F with no view at all. No space to park while checking in to the hotel, ludicrous overnight parking charge, and charging for tiered wifi in 2019. After reserving a king room, I was given a dual queen that was newly renovated. It was simultaneously brand new and filthy, clearly not cleaned thoroughly, zero water pressure in the admittedly impressive-looking shower, and to top it all off the heat didnt work. At least I was able to check out direction the TV so I could get out of there quickly.

Nice hotel. Rooms are a bit dated, but there is a lot of storage and little amenities that,are nice. No fridge in room which is unusual for the marriott line. Staff in executive lounge is hit or miss. They asked us not to bring in our alcohol. The next night a large group brought in several bottles of wine.

Renovations going on and it is total mess. Total maze to get to the room. No easy parking (25 for valet and 15 for self parking). No free breakfast. Room cost is so high ($319 + per day) but no comforts. On top of it the curtains were torn (have pictures of it). Only good point is it is close to my office.

Attended a cinder here. Lobby area and conference room were all very updated and nice. Bar area was closed during the day but it looks very nice with plenty of TV screens

Renovated rooms have srrange lighting. Spacious bathroom with tiny sink and walk in shower. Thermostat installed but not working. Older noisy unit in corner. Rooms on first floor have no privacy without blackout curtains drawn. Restaurants and bar are pleasant. Good wine list. Limited food selections for vegetarians. Food and drink expensive.

There is no other place to stay for die hard 49ers fans. If there are rooms available you better be ready to press go! Ive met current and former players and thier families here. I have met superfans here. The pics i posted are Brock Purdys family which we met in Dec this year. They were very humble folks. If the full experience of the San Fransisco 49ers is what you are after staying here will blow your mind. Tell Juan the bartender i said Hes the man! He treats people like family........
