Got a good deal on both tires and got them installed for free. While waiting, I picked up some oil filters, and they were cheaper than online. The young lady working at the front graciously helped me with the rebates for the tires which I did not know about. One complaint is that I wish they took reservations for mounting tires. I had to wait quite abit. Overall, great service and very pleasant people to work with!

I bought my first bike and beginner gear here a few months ago. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This past weekend I came back after my chain broke on the freeway. Because I had ridden less than 1000 miles since I bought it from them, they only charged for parts and comped the labor--even though I dont think it was their fault. Then when I went to pick the bike up last night, the battery was dead and they hadnt noticed, so they threw a new one in for free as well. They really took care of me on this one, Im highly impressed.

I’ve been going to Doug and Greg’s shop for years. Just went there last year to get a set of tires for my 2016 Yamaha SR400. They don’t make either of the stock tire sizes anymore but Doug found an acceptable substitution, gave me some different manufacturers and price ranges, and they mounted the tires for free. I’ve sold a bike there on consignment as well, a painless way to sell your old bike. Best motorcycle shop in the Bay Area and glad they’re still around.

They have the best deals in the Bay area! I bought a new front tire from them, online to get the best deal on that particular tire, and also to reserve it. Marked for in store pick up, and went down next morning and had it installed, took less than the time quoted. Most places just mount and you install it back on the bike, but for a very reasonable fee they will install it on the bike. Great for a person like me still new to this wonderful world of riding. Professional shop and staff, they even have some great deals on used bikes. Thanks I will be back!!

Just purchased a 2018 Honda Fury from Santa Clara Cycle. Doug has been running this place with his family for 21+ years and you can see why they have been successful and around for all this time. Having a tire in need of replacement I called these guys & even though they were busy, they made time in their busy schedule to install two tires in less than an hour! Good work & was extremely happy with the pricing on tires here. Better than Cycle Gear & they install tires for about the same as Cycle Gear but you dont have to remove your wheels. This is good for someone like me that is traveling around via motorcycle. Thanks again for your help & timely response to my needs!

This is a great shop for accessories, tires, riding apparel, oils and related supplies. They also sell used motorcycles and take on motorcycle consignments. The staff have a lot of knowledge, experience and are very customer service oriented. It seems like a family business and doing business there feels very different from chain stores. Parking is no problem, the shop is easy to find on El Camino Real and the area seems safe. I really like this shop and the people who work there!

Greg, Doug, John, Erica, and Brandon are some of the best motorcycling experts you can find. I’ve been coming here for 20 years and have always walked out happy.Brandon works in the back changing tires and he is bar none the most meticulous person to trust with your expensive wheels for tire changes.And guess what? Was recommended to this place by a friend when I needed a tire.There’s a lot to say about a business that runs so efficiently you are able to just get what you need done so quickly forget you even went in for a service. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable. They didn’t have the OEM tire but could order it. I opted for a tire I felt was better and in stock! I dropped it off end of day before closing and the next morning they called me to say it was ready. Got in, no fiddling for paperwork or looking for my wheel. Handed me my wheel and off I went. Was awesome!

Cant beat them for new tires, they are my go-to spot.Their tire prices are better than ordering online tax free, and it includes mounting. I used to mount my own tires but its a no brainer.If you need anything else (such as gear) its worth asking because they have also done a good job meeting or beating online prices.I highly recommend checking them out.

While touring, I had a need to replace my front tire. The shop was booked. The owner (Greg?) loaned me a scissor jack and I pulled the wheel myself, and replaced it after the new tire was installed and balanced. This SAVED my trip...honestly. 1-yr later, a FB friend has the same issue. I recommend them and they do a stellar job. Everyone is happy! THANK YOU!

I just bought a motorcycle from Santa Clara Cycle Accessories. The process couldnt have been any more low-pressure than it was. They offer pre-sales inspections if desired. Doug was nice enough to roll the Brutale out of the shop and let me ogle it in the sun in the parking lot as long as I wanted while he went and dealt with other customers. He started the bike for me, let me sit on it, etc.I made an offer to the owner and then thought about it a couple days before letting Doug know I wanted it. They allow flexible payment methods, which is great since my bank is out of state.The paper work is all handled by the shop so you dont have to go to the DMV yourself. When I arrived at the shop on pick-up day they had the bike all ready to roll out the door, they set the tire pressure for me, even though I was loading it on a truck (I dont trust 9+ year old sport bike tires).I didnt even have to push the bike into the back of the truck, Doug got two of his young bucks to help out and they ran it up the ramp for me before I even got to try and help.My wife and I also got some ancillary stuff for our other bikes while there the first time - oil filters, fuel filters, etc. For a used bike shop they have some awesome used bikes - more high end bikes than one would expect!I almost forgot to mention how excellent they are at communication. Email, messenger, phone - always quick to respond and courteous. They will get my business in the future.Thanks guys!

This is THE place to go for tires. Great inventory, quick scheduling, and exceptional service. They couldn’t be more welcoming or pleasant to deal with. Very good prices for the tires as well as for the install: Why my BMW shop quoted $200 just for the install, Santa Clara Cycle Accessories did it for $80 - while I waited. Ive been getting tires and parts here since 2016. Greg, Doug, John and especially Brandon are helpful every time I visit. The techs (Brandon mostly) often have the patience to listen and take a minute to point me in the right direction. One time they misplaced a sprocket basket damper and they were honest about it (no worries, a second look turned it up). I check my tires and rims every time they are mounted and only found a mistake once, to which Brandon said oops and fixed it on the spot for free. I came searching for a bike-specific handlebar adapter for my FJ-09 Barkbuster guards and they didnt have it. Not a surprise, I cant find the part anywhere. I get a call back later that week from Doug or Greg who had called around and found the number of a place in Florida that had the bike-specific bracket in stock. On another occasion they helped me make progress on a bluetooth compatibility issue with my Senna 10S THAT I DID NOT EVEN BUY FROM THEM. The only thing I want that they dont have is a couch in the lobby, and thats not even their fault. I came in recently (8/23) after rebuilding my front forks to have my fork seals driven (parts assembled and in hand). Its a 5 minute job and I expected to be charged a half hour of labor (or hopefully less). The tech was out that day, Becca correctly identified and retrieved the fork seal driving tool for me and let me do it on the spot. I was in and out in 9 minutes. I had just gotten off the phone with GP Sports on Camden in SJ and the earliest they could do fork seals off the bike was 3 days out, for an hour of labor and they could not do same day. I visited SCCA on their anniversary, they had free food and I got a wicked deal on gear. They gave my girlfriend free waterproof winter gloves (of her choice) and I got a gallon of 10W-40 and sintered pads for free. If they have a raffle I highly recommend picking from the center middle of the hat as thats where I found my $200 of free stuff coupon.

We were travelling through and were recommended this place by or friend who lives locally. Took my BMW F800 GS in for new tyres, tubes, chain, sprockets and break pads. Job was completed quickly at a fair price and we had help ordering parts we were going to install ourselves also. If I was in town longer I’d get more work done here as noticed I need new spark plugs also. Great experience 👍

I live in Hayward and these guys are so good I only buy tires from them. Their tires and mounting fees are so competitively priced that youd think its too good to be true, or that theres some catch. I went to this shop some time ago to change tire of my almost brand new R1250GS rear spoked wheels believing they could do it professionally. To my horror, they scratched the rim really bad in 2 different places. If I knew I would have done it myself. I will never come back to this place.

Sometimes fate just takes your side and you end up being a loyal customer to a shop you randomly cross by!I own a Harley Davidson and was going back and forth with the Harley davidsons Delaership service dept in San Jose, after them stalling me for weeks I decided to take my business else where and thats where I got lucky and met Doug here at the Santa Clara Cycle Accessories .Doug was very transparent and knowledgeable about exactly what I wanted, answered all my concerns with confidence and backed it up by the quickest turn over!I literally made the appointment on the spot and got a slot for Tuesday and the whole job literally took less than an hour, where any other shop would take weeks for the appointment and hours for job to get done.Brandon was the expert mechanic who took on the tough mission that no one else would take a risk of doing and gave me all the confidence I needed and worked his magic!All in all the shop has a passion for riders. I sold my bike through consignment at this store, I had a positive experience selling my bike here, it was my first time dealing with them so I had my suspicions but I read their reviews, spoke with the Gregg and made sure their process is legit and went for it. And due to traveling reasons, I was in another state when the bike got sold. And they mailed me the check along with the sales papers to Texas. The only thing they could do better is following up, as I had to call and email them frequently to know what is update and when are they sending the money. I would definitely do business with them again.

After an unfortunate incident where a few employees dropped the ball and didnt leave my bike out after hours as arranged, I stood in front of the shop at 10pm at night wondering how I was going to get home. I knew the name of the manager and was able to locate his info online. After making the call I was pleasantly surprised at how apologetic and helpful he was. Even though he was on his way home with family from a previous engagement, he turned around drove straight to the shop to help me get my bike. I was shocked but even more so when his father Greg, the owner also showed up to help me. They were able to rectify the situation, take care of my bike and even help me with a major brake issue I was unaware of. This is the sign of a true customer oriented business. One that admits their mistake and steps up to take care of the problem right away. They have earned me as a customer for life. Thanks Doug and Greg for everything you did for me that night.

These guys are great - real professional, real honest. If you cant muck about trying to get a tire on, just buy it from these guys, they put wheels on tires for free if you buy from them, and while you wait you can browse the showroom.I buy my gear from here if Im not buying used - they only stock the good stuff. No need to sort through the 50 crappy brands filling up 80% of CycleGear. That means the gear is more expensive, but its only the good stuff. They also have a used gear rack regularly cycling out, great place to pick up a suit on the cheap if you dont wanna monitor BARF for weeks trying to snag a good deal that you gotta ride out to Egypt to pick up.Lots of good used bikes on sale, I guess they do consignment. No experience there, but just an FYI if youre looking for a dealership to buy from.They can also order parts in, seem to be reasonable prices there.

Ive been working with Santa Clara cycle as they repair my motorcycle after an accident. They have been very helpful in working with me and my insurance as well as ordering several of the aftermarket accessory parts that were damaged in the accident. Its been taking some time to get everything done, waiting mostly on OEM parts but the work looks thorough and Im very happy with everything theyre doing so far.I will likely be coming here more often for both service work as well as accessories and parts in the future and would highly recommend working with Doug and the team here at Santa Clara cycle accessories.

They do great (on time) motorcycle servicing, and always have a really nice, knowledgeable staff who are more interested in you getting the best stuff for you than them making a buck (including recommending diy fixes you can do at home to save a little). While the store was close by and easy to locate, the accessories selection was somewhat limited - this place seems more geared towards motorcycle repair than gear (pun intended). In spite of this I was able to get a great deal on a helmet, and the staff was both friendly, helpful and efficient. I was in and out of there in just a few minutes.

Very helpful staff. Were not pushy about making a sale, and stayed with you for until they found a helmet that fit. If you were unsure, they say come back again if you have any questions and are not bitter about a customer who doesnt buy anything at the moment. I wanted to check out some other helmets at some other stores, but after not finding anything below $300, I called them back and placed an order for the helmet I wanted in the exact color (they did not have the color). It was ordered the next business day and delivered to my door. Great service.I bough an FG-17 helmet there. Although the helmet selection is limited to some of the cheaper brands, the new helmet prices are probably the best value you will find (speaking about the HJC helmets). Not the best selection of jackets/pants, but then again I was looking in the clearance section. Overall highly recommended.

I have gone there several times to replace my bikes tires. They have better prices over all on tires. I come to this place only for the tire service. There is a Starbucks next door to kill time while they service your bike. The only turn off is that they dont have a good selection in gear and accessories.

Of course nobody is perfect, mistake happens, but rest assured IF they will happen, they will be fixed right away. If you own a motorcycle or are in the market for a good used bike, SCC is the place to go. They stock s#*t loads of tires, fast moving parts, metric or domestic, dirt or street. If they dont stock it..they will have it for you in a day or two. The entire staff rides, and know parts for any bike with friendly advice, newbie to pro racer . BUYERS BEWARE! I purchased a 2004 HD Fatboy in October. At the time, I was told a 10-point inspection was done and the bike was in outstanding condition. I was also told the purchase would be as-is; no warranty was offered. Trusting the reviews, and my gut at the time, I went ahead and bought the bike. Sadly, I had no idea what issues lurked beneath the surface. I rode a few times, no issues. Then, my rear turn signals fell off (as one of them had been glued together). I took it to HD who discovered that, in addition to the turn signals, bolts (that were too long and could have damaged the rear tire with any weight on the rear fender) had been improperly installed, that the spark plug wires had been run incorrectly, and that the fuel line, which is pressurized, was a rubber tube with no clamp. Thus began the deeper dig. I, of course, discovered that the bike was coincidentally sold just prior to it needing a service on the cam-tensioner shoes (bet. $1000 - $2000) -- my fault for not doing the research.The worst, however, was the discovery that a sound I had heard all along (but assumed normal based on the 10-point inspection promise), was a not a primary bearing (as originally feared by the mechanic), but a COMPLETELY SHOT TRANSMISSION! With each layer the mechanic pulled away, we found massive amounts of metal shavings in the transmission. Come to find out that it was so bad, it could have seized at any moment, causing the rear wheel to lock, which is incredibly dangerous. In other words, it could have killed me, and now Im stuck with having to rebuild a transmission on a bike Ive had for two months.So, I did what anyone would do and I called the shop hoping they would have something to offer. I informed them of the situation and got, by the owner, essentially: a shoulder shrug. He did not reiterate the 10-point inspection; instead, he told me that they did a test ride and checked the fluids. When I pressed that, were that to be the case, they would have heard what I heard and determined for themselves an issue existed, the response was :We do the best we can, nobodys perfect, and sometimes we miss things. When I pressed even further in hopes they they were a reputable shop and would offer SOMETHING to be of assistance, the owner confirmed they would do nothing. He then challenged my mechanic (and my own eyes, apparently), so I asked if THEY would be willing to look at it! Response: we dont service motorcycles here.BE CAREFUL! They were careless and sold me a bike that could have killed me. The worst part is that the owner offered nothing other than to suggest I should distrust my mechanic and get a second opinion. Insult to injury was that the owner called the seller, who told him that the bike was in perfect condition and that he checked the transmission himself, and had the nerve to call me back and tell me that I was wrong based on the sellers word alone...no evidence to support the claim, while I am standing there looking at metal everywhere...which, by the way, doesnt happen in two months time.Moral of the story...if you buy a bike here, BRING A MECHANIC!

I went in at 5:10pm on the weekend to get my tires changed, only to find out that they closed at 5pm. The guy at the front desk was kind enough to let me leave my wheels and the new set of tires I brought in with me at the shop overnight. Then he told me that he would have the new tires on my wheels by 9:45am the next day. So I came back at 10am the next day, and sure enough my new tires where on my wheels and ready for me to pick up. Took about 8 minutes for the whole process. It was 44$ for both tires including tax and all that crap. I will be going back to these guys when I need tires again.

Lied about service history and condition of a motorcycle. When I took it to change the title we found the VIN had been filed off. Less than a month later the new clutch stopped working and I took it in for repairs. My local nationally acclaimed BMW shop found that the gaskets hadnt been replaced with repairs, the flywheel was destroyed, and the drive shaft needed to be replaced.When I called Santa Clara Cycle the only response was that it wasnt their problem and at which point they shared that they had resold the same bike multiple times and the last owner was a first time rider.At the end I said I was going to post this review and they threatened to sue me if I did. One of the most ridiculous things Ive heard in customer service.
