Dr Samagh fixed me!! I had a torn labrum in my hip and contemplated having surgery for a while as I dealt with the pain and discomfort. Dr Samagh talked through the pros and cons with me and made sure I felt comfortable with the procedure, recovery and all the details so I could make the decision. I’m so glad I did it! I’m 6 months out and fully recovered. I’m so relieved to not feel pain and because he is the stellar surgeon that he is, my outcome has far exceeded my expectations. You’re in the best hands if you trust Dr Samagh for your surgery.

Dr. Samagh did my rotator cuff surgery and four months later I was back to surfing, aerial and other activities that I hadnt been able to do because of pain. He is an excellent surgeon, very knowledgeable, friendly and takes time to talk about your options, explain procedures and answer questions. Kristie, his nurse, is also wonderful. I hope I never need surgery again but if I do, he will be my first call.

I highly recommend Dr Samagh for shoulder related issues. He is an excellent detailed oriented surgeon. Results and recovery was quicker than I had anticipated. Not only is he a great surgeon, his diagnostic style and interface/interaction made the whole process comfortable.

I went to Dr. Samagh with hip pain that had been going on for a couple of years. At 65-years-young, I am a very active person and was not ready to give up my favorite activities, hiking and skiing. Dr. Samagh is very knowledgeable, a great listener, answered all my questions and clearly explained my options. We decided on arthroscopic surgery which involved fixing some labrum tears and shaving down bone spurs at my hip joint. Now 12 weeks later, I have relief from my hip pain and can sleep at night. What a relief! I’ll be back to hiking and skiing in no time at all. Thank you Dr. Samagh!

Dr Samajh has performed 2 reverse shoulder replacements on me. The first was completed 4 years ago and I have no pain and full use of that arm. He recently completed the second shoulder and it is obvious his technique has continued to improve. I highly recomend him for Shoulder surgery.

Dr. Samagh and Kristi are the best! I had shoulder pain for months that would not go away. I tried months of physical therapy and I had two clean MRIs and my previous orthopedic surgeon had turned me away. Dr. Samagh really listened to me and ended up repairing a labrum tear that was not showing in my MRI. Thanks to Dr. Samagh, I am feeling better than I have in a long time! The recovery has been very smooth. Dr. Samagh listens to you and cares about your progress every step of the way. I highly highly highly recommend him!

I’d like to recommend Dr. Samagh. I had a crash on my bicycle, and suffered trauma to many parts of my body. He quickly diagnosed my major injuries through testing, X-rays, and MRI.Kristy was able to quickly schedule my MRI on the same day. That was nice!He quickly determined that I had sustained a radial fracture, as well as a torn rotator cuff. My fracture is healing, and whether or not I’ll need surgery on my shoulder will be determined at a later time. I’ve never felt pressured to quickly have surgery, and I’m hoping to avoid it if possible. Dr Samagh has been supportive of this course of action. He offered the options of surgery, injections, or simply waiting it out to see if I’d rather just live with the partial tear. I’ve felt included in the entire process. Im happy with my experience with Dr. Samagh!

Dr. Samagh and his nurse/office manager, Kristi are the best team - friendly, caring, and know their stuff! I saw Dr. Samagh for a torn rotator cuff and humerus fracture and he walked me through the pros and cons of all available treatments. We landed on surgery, but he was never pushy to get to that option. Every meeting with him was personable and he took his time to answer questions, engage in conversation, and remember personal details we had discussed in prior meetings. Im 7 weeks out from surgery and doing so much better already! I can hardly see the incision sites and have returned to almost full mobility. I know that with continued physical therapy Ill be back to normal in no time. Thanks Dr. Samagh!

Dr. Samagh is the best! From the evaluations to my eventual surgeries, I always felt listened to and that I was aware of what was happening every step of the way. I came in with hip pain in both of my hips and Dr. Samagh has since performed 2 hip arthroscopies on me for FAI, Labrum repair and IT band repair, about 4 months apart. I am currently 4 months out from my first surgery and havent felt this relief in my hip in years! Im a few days out of my second Arthroscopy and already feel relief from the pain I was in. Dr. Samagh and Kristi always make me feel so welcome in the office and are quick to answer my many questions. My friends and family cant believe how fast Im recovering and its all thanks to Dr. Samagh!

Dr. Samagh is the most thoughtful and caring orthopedic surgeon! His bedside manner is only surpassed by his surgeon skills! He performed rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder along with a few other items that needed cleaning up in there on July 1, 2019. I was diligent to follow all his instructions, as well as, do all my physical therapy as he prescribed and I’m back using my shoulder like normal. He told me it does take a full year for complete recovery and I know I’ll be 100% at that year marker and good to do all the active sports in my life once again. Thank you so much for fixing my shoulder Dr. Samagh!!!

Thank you Dr. Samagh for repairing my shoulder. After several other consultations and two surgeries for shoulder pain I was referred to Dr. Samagh by my physical therapist. Dr.Samagh explained all the findings from the MRI and how he would approach them surgically and why. He listened to my fears with patience and compassion. I am 10 weeks post op from a major repair and my shoulder feels better than it has in years. I’m excited to start strength training and do all the things I haven’t been able to do because if pain.Thank you to Kristi his nurse also. She is very knowledgeable responsive and compassionate. She’s also great with insurance issues and other important paperwork.I wholeheartedly thank and recommend them.❤️

I cannot say enough positive words about Dr. Samagh. One in a million! From the moment he walked in the room I felt at ease and knew I was in the best hands possible for my knee. He is a true professional through and through. Fantastic bedside manner, 100% present to the conversation (and it was a conversation) during which he answered all my questions and was not in a hurry. I however forgot my list of questions at home and when I called the office about the questions, Dr. Samagh returned my call and answered all of my questions thoroughly.He offered me several options with the very last being surgical and many options before that. He was honest and open and so easy to talk with.I went back for a 2nd visit and had the exact same experience.Not only is Dr. Samagh highly trained and smart as smart gets (see bio) he is also conservative in his approach and a realist. I am a 50 year old athlete and want to continue the lifestyle I have with my fitness routine. I know with him on my team I will be successful in this.You will not be disappointed at all with Dr. Samagh. What a wonderful gift he is to this community and to his patients.BrendaPart 2..... I will be forever grateful that I walked into his office for a knee issue which he totally helped me with. Not long after that, I ended up with a complete tear in my rotator cuff due to a side effect from an antibiotic. I was devastated as Im an athlete and this would put me out of commission for a long time. Dr. Samagh has the most amazing bedside manner. Compassion and empathy like nothing I have ever seen or heard of before. He is extremely thorough in every visit, very clear in his action plan and recovery plan. I feel like he understands each patient as an individual. Dr Sanjum did a reverse shoulder replacement for me January 2020. My shoulder is fantastic!! No pain and great movement. I have talked to others that have not had good results. Sorry the didn’t use my dr. If you are looking to end your shoulder pain then you should check out dr. Sanjum

Fortunately, my PCP referred me to Dr. Samagh after a miserable consultation with an orthopedic surgeon located in Carlsbad. It was a horrible experience when I walked into Dr. Samagh’s office, I felt a difference already. Dr. Samagh was without a doubt the kindest and most gentle doctor.I’ve ever met. During my consultation, Dr. Samagh gave me several options for my torn meniscus (lateral and medial tears). I never felt rushed or hurried. I feel, together, we made the best decision for my situation. I had meniscus repair and PRP. I am 5 months post-op and my knee feels great, thanks to Dr. Samagh. I have seen him for several follow-ups and we are both very pleased with my outcome.

Dr. Samagh did an amazing job diagnosing an issue I had with my right shoulder. My motion and range was limited, and Dr. Samagh gave me exercises and advice that helped remedy the issue. Thankfully, no surgery was needed! He was so great to deal with, and I highly recommend speaking with him, if you have any orthopedic issues you are hoping to better understand.

Nothing but good things to say about Dr. Samagh! Super empathetic and caring and genuinely wanted to help me get better. An amazing surgeon as well, I had an injury that didnt show up on multiple MRIs, but Dr. Samagh was confident it was there and he was absolutely correct. He fixed the injury with no issues and 2 months after the operation I feel a million times better. If you have orthopedic issues, Dr. Samagh will take great care of you.

Dr. Samagh was the assistant team doctor for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks. If he didnt hate the cold so much, hed still be treating professional athletes in the Windy City. If professional sports team owners trusted Dr. Samagh with their players, that should give you an idea of how good he is.Ive known Dr. Samagh for 20 years. Hes examined me twice: once for a torn labrum and again for a torn meniscus. In both situations Dr. Samagh listened to my concerns, examined the joints in question, and within a few minutes made a diagnosis. In both cases, subsequent x-rays/MRI confirmed his diagnosis. For the labrum, Dr. Samagh advised against surgery given my life goals, instead recommending physical therapy, which has worked out well for me. When I injured my knee, I flew out to Chicago to see Dr. Samagh -- thats how good he is.By nature, surgeons usually want to cut, cut, cut, so its reassuring to me that Dr. Samagh isnt going to recommend surgery unless its the best course of action.

Hip Impingement and Labrum RepairDr Samagh and Kristi are the best! Very honest and concise pre surgery discussions. Dr Samagh helped me make a tough but correct decision to correct my FAI Hip Impingement and torn labrum. I am tremendously grateful for his work. I did my fair share of research during my years of injury, went back and forth between the surgical route and trying to fix or slow symptoms via PT. I am very, very happy I chose to move forward with his regiment. Hes caring, attentive and trustworthy. I cant say enough. 6 months post surgery and I am out of PT and back to being active.Kristi in the front office is also great. I had some insurance claim issues and she was helpful getting me on the right path, providing insight into the way medical business and claims are handled.I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Samagh is one of a kind, AMAZING!!! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and seasoned in his practice, but what stands out so greatly is his genuine care, kindness, empathy, and heart for his patients, which when combined, make him TOP NOTCH!I recently saw Dr. Samagh after a concerning knee bursitis was not healing. Thanks to his clinical expertise and diagnostics, he swiftly was able to identify the source of why my knee was not healing. I am so grateful I went to Dr. Samagh when I did, because it turned out I had an infected knee bursa, which could have become more serious if it wasnt identified and treated right away. From the start, Dr. Samagh developed an excellent rapport, he was thorough, honest in presenting treatment options, and provided me with his best clinical advice with the utmost care in mind for my overall health/well-being. Despite attempting a conservative approach to treatment, my condition required surgery and a course of IV antibiotics in order to treat the infection optimally. I felt so confident in his care, as he explained what would be done in surgery and the expected recovery process.Since surgery, the knee has been healing very nicely, thanks to Dr. Samaghs great work and follow-up care. Unfortunately, I had adverse reactions to some of the IV antibiotics prescribed by the infectious disease specialist, which resulted in subsequent hospitalizations, but thankfully my knee wound healing was not affected. Throughout this entire process, Dr. Samagh was there every step of the way and went above and beyond on numerous occasions to ensure my knee was healing properly, and that I was well taken care of throughout my hospital stays and upon returning home to continue with daily wound care and IV treatments. With kindness, care, and showing concern for my health/wellness, Dr. Samagh stopped by several days while I was in the hospital to check on my knee and progress. He also went out of his away to do some research on symptoms I was experiencing due to adverse reactions to the antibiotics, and called me to discuss after his regular clinic hours.These instances, among many others throughout my experience, reveal Dr. Samaghs true dedication to his practice and patients, as well as his compassion that is second to none!! It is so apparent that he genuinely cares, treating you like he would his family, and going the extra mile to provide the BEST care and ensure highest quality treatment!!I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. SAMAGH for any orthopedic/sports medicine needs!!!!! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy who values excellent patient care, a holistic approach, and especially the importance of compassion and empathy in the healing process, I can truly appreciate Dr. Samaghs approach and recognize that his quality of CARE is rare to find these days! Cant thank Dr. Samagh enough! I was told by my Sharp Dr. I could live with it and proceeded to show me how to put a bra on backwards. Their only option for a torn rotator, scar tissue, floating debris, and a enlarged bone shredding by bicep!I am 1 year post surgery back to hardcore workouts and boxing 💪full range and loving life again LIFE CHANGER FOR SURE!
