My son was little nervous and thought it would be dark in room. The bright lighted rooms and open door set up made him feel way more comfortable and he survived the whole experience. Rayyan was amazing and complimented my son on his bravery for completing it. He was very polite and good vibes the whole time. Would definitely visit again.

Good time with 9 and 12yr old. We played Squid Games. I booked in advance, check in was simply and easy. Guy helped my 12yr old son who is on the spectrum, he was really nice. I liked that the fans are going in your room cause you get really worked up. Will definitely be back.

Jeff was amazing. Very patient, kind, professional, made sure we were all having a great time, and he had a great sense of humor. He made the experience an enjoyable one and one to never forget. We played the VR game Deadwood Valley, which was a highly intense game killing Zombies. Definitely recommend it for groups. You will sweat, scream, laugh until your stomach hurts and have a great time. Thank you Sandbox Bay Street. This won’t be our last time visiting.

We loved our experience at Sandbox VR! It was my first time and I went with my brother and my husband. We ended up selecting the Squid Game option and Gyptsy walked us through the check-in and waiver process, helped us with our sensors as well.Come prepared to pick a team name - we picked Team Kdot! The virtual experience was about 40 min with 30 min of playing time. You have to be careful not to cross the red line (because you can hit the wall or exit the doorway lol) and you do have to watch a short safety video.The game got super competitive and I would definitely come back to try a different game! I was surprised that we were sweating 😂 At the end your game, Gyptsy helped us take off the equipment and played the video showing ourselves in the game. You will be able to download the video from a QR code at the end of your visit.Gyptsy was very friendly and informative throughout all of the steps! It was a fun experience and we highly recommend this Emeryville location to others if you were interested in a VR game experience.

At first, I thought it was too pricey for such little time but as a first time in Sandbox, this was a great introduction. Such a fun experience that is filled to the brim with exciting gameplay that truly get lost in it. I loved every minute and, in my opinion, was worth it.The person who helped us, Gypsy, was so kind and helpful to us. Everyone who helped us were. Daniel was especially nice to talk to as well and I really appreciated all the staff who helped put it all together.Be warned you will watch back all the silly things you do, so maybe don’t be as overly competitive as me and run into everyone.

Shout out to Jeff. He was so helpful and help one of our family members get over there fear. Its is a amazing experience. 100/10, would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have fun. Be aware to bring some water and maybe a towel, you will sweat around your face. Also wear workout clothes to help. The squid games will have you laughing throughout the event, you dont have to watch of the show to have fun.

The graphics are great, and all the equipments are easy to use for all levels.We received help from Marcus! He was kind, respectful, and professional. All of the staff at Sandbox were prompt, available, friendly, and accommodating throughout our experience. ‘Emerald’ was our host. She comfortably handled our group of six 10 yr olds with grace and efficiency as we bumbled our way through setting up gear and listening to guidance. I was dubious before our experience that it might be more expensive than fulfilling, but the folks at Sandbox go out of their way to make sure everyone has a high quality, enjoyable adventure. The kids had a blast and the VR adventure was designed with plenty for each of them to get their fill! Thanks again, Emerald, and the Sandbox team!

Loved the experience itself. I booked for 3 people and I assumed we would be in a room on our own. Wasnt the case as they added another group to our booking. This wasnt ideal as it takes away from the experience and it wasnt really clear that it would be the case during the booking process.We were in the dragon experience and the melee weapons had a slight delay. Enough to be noticeable and break immersion.Overall, the kids and I loved it and had a lot of fun.

I felt very supported by the direction. My experience with Sandbox VR Emeryville is always amazing. Jeff assisted us with putting the monitors on and calmed down a member of the group when they were nervous. When my niece 11-year-old was struggling, Shaela was extremely helpful with her positive demeanor. Sincere gave us directions to watch our playback and he gave other game suggestions for next time. My niece loved this experience and she wants to bring her friend next time.

We took my son and three friends (11 yos) to play Amber Sky for his birthday and this did not disappoint. Finn helped us get set up and she was patient and professional with our group throughout the VR session. The instructions were very clear, and the staff were prompt and responsive when we ran into trouble. Technology like this is still finicky but I thought the program was slick and other than getting embarrassingly sweaty I had zero complaints. 5 stars would recommend.

We played the Squid Game VR experience and it was so fun to play! The games are really hilarious and they give you a recap video at the end. One slight issue is that the mocap wristbands and anklets may fall off during the game. The staff are kind, but weren’t present to help when we yelled the safe word to stop the game to readjust. Overall really fun experience though!

Our family had a *BLAST* for our twins’ 20th bday playing a SHARDS game, killing monster thugs & slaying a dragon, all as a team of badass knights. Bonding & exhilarating & truly a cardio workout—all as our wonderful greeter Gypsty promised. My kids had a great experience and it was great as a parent just watching them. Finn provided me a chair and I could watch them play and what they were doing in the game. Also I learned about rebooting at the time and get the discount which is great!My only comment would be for the birthday to not make the song so kiddie. My 10 year Olds thought it was more for 5 year Olds. You lose out on the band moment and rocking out which is so fun. Definitely need to upgrade that portion

The VR experience ran really smoothly (I was nervous after reading negative reviews!) and everyone had such a good time. Afterwards we had ordered a snack box which had interesting snacks from all over the world and water (which was clutch bc the kids were so sweaty and tired) and sat to watch the video. Urial was great in showing us the different videos and also explained to me how to download our videos onto my phone. Highly recommend this experience!
