Affordable veterinarian hospital. Had to wait an hour after my appointment but when the vet came in, he did a very thorough job of looking at our pets. Their services are very affordable compared to other animal hospitals in Los Angeles and was worth the 35 minute drive for me.

Made an appointment for 10am and attended me relatively quick. The people here were super nice and understanding and Dr.K did an amazing job on my furry friend. The price was super reasonable and affordable luckily since most vets are pretty expensive.

Dr. Kiaei, otherwise affectionately known as Dr. K, and the staff at San Gabriel Animal Hospital are amazing. They are a small but mighty team delivering great care for my pet and offer reasonable pricing for services. Dr. K is one of the best veterinarians I have worked with (and Ive been a pet owner for many decades). He has always provided reasonable and sound medical decisions based on whats best for the pet. I have tried other clinics in the past more interested in up charging customers with less care towards the pet and even lesser care towards your wallet. Dr. K is direct with holding pet owners accountable to what you can/should be doing to improve your pets heath, while also providing good information when you have follow up questions.I would strongly recommend to make appointments over the phone as theyre not as responsive by email (again, they are more of a small shop); however, at the office, you can obtain emails for any documents and records needed. Their staff, though very busy managing the front lines from opening to close, always treats the customers with a lot of kindness and professionalism regardless.

I sent a request online for an appointment. Today, while at work someone tried to call me, the phone number did not show the name of the vet office, so I used Google assistant to get more information on the call. No one said its the vet office, just submission request form. Well, being at work, I was unsure what it was so, I let the assistant ask for more information. The person said I dont like this and hung up. So I looked up the phone number and see it was the vets office. #1 if you are calling from a business say that. #2 for a place that asks you to use a request form online, you dont like being asked for more information on a vague message of what a call was about? Very unprofessional.

I highly recommend this veterinarian clinic, I have 5 cats, so I have had a lot of vet experience in this city and this clinic has been the best, affordable prices, flexible time and kind, the doctor inspired my confidence. When you call other veterinarians they give you appointments until 3 days later or so and always want to charge you for a lot a things but not this clinic, they are honest. From now is my veterinarian!!!

Upon my visit at San Gabriel Animal Hospital I am very happy with the results. Dr. Kiaei gave me a breakdown in regards to my 2 dogs issues he also recommended (Issued) the right type of shampoo that resolved one of the dogs skin problem, but most of all the the pricing for my vist is very reasonable and fits my budget...

Best vet for the price and care. All my brothers and sisters come here for the health of our pets. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. They helped out my cat from urinary blockage and the vet did what an emergency Vet hospital couldnt do in a week... unblock and have my cat urinate on his own without trouble. I knew then, I had found my new vet. Really, that is how well they did their job. Price was very very reasonable.

Update:Dr. K continue to be a valued partner in the health of our animals. Hes willing to exam and treat even our chicken and ducks, along with our dogs and cats. Hes very gentle and expert in the handling of each, really taking the time to assess the natural movement of the injuries or symptoms of the illness. With 3 dogs, 4 cats, 6 Chickens and 3 ducks in our menagerie, it gives us peace of mind that each is cared after consistently by this knowledgeable and compassionate professional that is Dr. K!Original review :We take all of our dogs and cats to the San Gabriel Animal Hospital. They are convenient, thoughtful and reasonably priced. The office staff remember all of our animals names and ours too on sight. ;-) Dr. K is an exceptional veterinarian! I went to a different vet closer to me for my cats annual checkup...they recommended a dental cleaning, and quoted me a staggering price of $1,300-$1,500!!I said no way and looked for other options. A friend recommended San Gabriel Animal Hospital. Although it is not nearby, I trusted my friends recommendation and her assurance that the price would be much lower and drove over to Monterey Park for my cats dental cleaning.I dropped my cat off, then left to do some work at a nearby cafe. When I returned at the time the vet staff asked me to return, I was told my cat was still drowsy from the medicine and they wanted to keep her for another hour or so to make sure she was good to go home. It was a bit inconvenient having to leave and come back, but I appreciate that the vet had my cats health in mind.I picked up my cat and she was fine. Her teeth looked good, so I trust the dental cleaning was done effectively. The best part: the price was less than $300 total, much lower than the $1,300-$1,500 the other vet had quoted me!I was satisfied with my visit to San Gabriel Animal Hospital and will plan to go there the next time my cat needs routine care.

This Hospital is The best, they helped my baby cat Tiger Sun, Dr. K is wonderful, very professional and he really cares about your pet, not just about money. Actually he examined my Tiger with a very good and complete examination and then he provided my Tiger with the treatment that he needed.They told me that Dr believes that with the treatment it wont be necessary to take laboratory studies but if it was necessary they can do that too with a good price. They helped my baby Tiger Sun really quickly, we went home for approximately an hour after we arrived .As soon as we were back home my Tiger was pretty much better, and he finally started to eat again, now he is really good and healthy again.This was my first time there and it will be my one and only hospital for my cats. The personnel are really empathetic, kind, prepared and ready to help. My friend recommended this place to me and now I know why.The prices are really good, low price and excellent quality. My doggo came in to have a lump near his eye checked out. We found out it was a tumor. I was nervous for him going into surgery but front desk and dr. was kind and very reassuring. My sick cat. got a same-day appointment. Helpful staff on the phone. Dr.. Bahman knew right away what was wrong...upper respiratory infection...prescribed antibiotics and also an antiviral...iI thought Id have to put the cat down that day, but was assured could recover within 2 to 3 weeks. Its Day 10 and ny cat is on the mend. The office visit and meds and the subcutaneous IV were a reasonable cost. ..and the big plus -- I was taught how to administer meds and prepare liquid food via syringe. The facility isnt fancy, but the care is top notch.

Best clinic ever! Dr. Kiaei has been taking care of our cat for about 3 years. She had cancer on her ears, and her doctor took care of it eradicating it completely. Recently, he treated a wound on her neck. His treatment and diagnosis were fast and to the point. He is very compassionate and experienced. At this clinic they dont make you spend extra money on unnecessary lab work. Prices are the best in the area. Personnel is caring and friendly.

We have been taking our dogs to Doctor BK for several years. He takes care of our senior and now our new pups. If youre looking for fancy, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a doctor who loves animals and treats them like his own? Then yes, this is the place for you. The staff is kind and attentive. He is very busy because they dont turn people away. If you have to wait a bit, its worth it. He will give you all the time and attention your pet needs. We would never take our Fred, Aria & Harley anywhere else.

Best vet and experience I have had over the years. I go there for all my annuals/appointments and they are always very professional, friendly and caring of my loved ones. I had a recent experience where my dog had a stomach blockage and they were so so accomodating to help take care of my pup, saw him multiple days in a row without an appointment, provided the best care I could have asked for and were even ready to perform surgery if needed however thankfully that wasnt the case. I couldnt have asked for a better vet, staff, and clinic to help me take care of my pets. Highly recommend them and they are also very fair with prices compared to many other clinics. I found this veterinarian during Covid a few years ago. Dr. K and his staff are great! They are flexible, caring and efficient and reasonably priced.Dr. K took extremely good care of my two female senior Chi mixes until their passing this July at 14 and 15 years old. I have since adopted another Chi thats 10 years old with bad teeth and a heart murmur. He explained her x-ray to me and has her on meds that are helping her. He always fully explains their conditions, only shows care to the animals and doesnt perform unnecessary tests. I trust Dr. K and his staff!Its a small business. Dr. K is the only vet and he treats the animals and their parents with care. Give him a try!! You wont be disappointed.

I am grateful to Dr. K and his staff, they were very kind and helpful to me when I took Valentino in for emergency visit. My Valentino passed away a week later but he received the most caring treatment from Dr K. I stopped going to my previous Vet at Veterinary Healthcare Center on Pomona Blvd after being a customer for 15 years, now Dr K is our Vet. My reasons are: the knowledge and honesty of Dr K, caring and kindness of his staff. The fees are very reasonable/affordable which helps reduce anxiety and stress of pet owner who is dealing with illness of their furry baby. I recommend this clinic to anyone who love their pets.

I have been taking my dog there for years. I can see that the vet cares about the animals and is very thorough. The waiting room is small but they are nice enough to call you if your in the bench out in the patio. The receptionist are always courteous and pleasant. They gave my doggie meds there for the fourth of July anxiety and they worked great! all the cost including the meds are affordable so dont hesitate to take your cat or dog here. I love this place. 1st time here. I had to wait for over 30 minutes on the phone for an appointment but the front the office was able to squeeze me in the same day at 11:30 am. I checked in at 11:28 and my dog was seen by 11:33 am! We were out in 20 minutes. The vet, Dr. K was awesome. The staff was awesome. My dog was having an allergic reaction so he received 2 shots and a prescription for his monthly simparico trio. This will my dog’s new vet! So happy I found this place. Prices are incredible!

The cost of the visit was inexpensive at SGAH. The wait time to get into see someone was reasonable. The doctor and nurse took the time to respond to any questions. I thought my pup would be pissed when he got the vaccination shot, but no reaction from him. I thought (maybe) the nurse was really good at administering the shot.

Theres other places near my home in Alhambra but San Gabriel Animal Hospital beats them in care of my dog and pricing for vaccinations. Its worth the little further drive. The vet here is very caring for my cat. I can tell by the way he interacts with him that he is comfortable with animals. He was also helpful in finding me some affordable solutions for my cats needs. The staff are friendly and good with animals.Edit:I continue to trust San Gabriel Animal Hospital with the care of my cat, Rock. My cat is getting older and his needs are shifting. Not pleased with my experience here and ended up switching vets. Their prices are reasonable, but I cant speak highly of the service. There is a major lack of communication, Ive called a few times to ask if they can send over my pets medical records to the new vet and they have not, its been more then 2 weeks now. I had an appt to get my dog spayed and decided to pull out . I wasnt feeling comfortable with the vet and he lacks empathy. Im sorry but Im a overbearing pet mom and I need to be talked through situations and want to be well informed about things. The lack of information in regards to anything was disconcerting.

Our 9 year old dog stopped eating for almost a week, only drinking water and eating a few bites of food each day. We could not get scheduled as an urgent appointment at his primary vet and called San Gabriel Animal Hospital to see if they could take him in earlier. The technician who answered the phone was so kind and understanding, she was able to squeeze us in early. This is a very busy clinic with only one vet, Dr. K running the entire hospital! You can definitely expect to wait when you arrive but once Dr. K sees your pet, he is patient and thorough. His prices are so reasonable and just like all the other reviews, it is obvious that he isn’t out to overcharge or profit off each animal. We will be switching our dog’s primary care to San Gabriel Animal Hospital!

I am very happy with this veterinary office, i rescue cats, dogs but im in a fixed income, it is such a relief ti know that i can cone here and afford to get check ups, neuters and flea medicines. I used to live close to this vets office so I gave it a chance and Im glad I did. Its a small operation, so please be patient with the staff as they handle a lot of patients. They offer more affordable office visits than most Ive been to in the area, and also significantly more affordable for dental cleanings! Dr. K cares about your pets - while he doesnt come off as warm and fuzzy off the bat, he really does care and doesnt sugar coat or try to upsell me on anything. I always feel like Im getting a genuine assessment of my dogs condition and my options. Even though Ive moved hours away, when Im in town visiting family I still try to schedule an appointment in for my dogs :).

Was able to find this place by looking for a internal medicine doctor for my dog. The price for the consultation and a ultrasound was only $33 dollars I was in shock with the price. I love that this Dr. K is straight to the point and will not do any necessary procedures that need to be done. The staff is amazing. I passed by this place several times and I been waiting to come to this location. When the time comes and I hope not soon I will bring my dog to put to sleep but at this time I will continue to help my dog as much as I can. Endoscopy price is super low price with biopsy labs I was in shock I had to double check and repeat the price. You could tell this Doctor is not money hungry he really cares about the animal well being and also help people out. Dr Kiaei is fantastic as far as were concerned. Our oldest dog (almost 17) is much improved, seems like hes a year younger, back to himself, because of the care he got. I had the same vet for my pets since my teenage years and when he retired, it was devastating. I found San Gabriel Animal Hospital by google searching vets in Monterey Park and reading reviews. Let me tell you this hospital was an answer to my prayers. Dr. Kiaei Bahman is a blessing to this community. He cares for animals and is very compassionate when working with furry friends and their owners. He gets straight to the point. No unnecessary testing. He answers all the questions and is very calm and patient. He gives you his undivided attention. His prices are very reasonable. San Gabriel Anial a hospital has always been great on service and affordable in cost. The prescription medicine is also reasonable. They really pass on the savings to the customers. Dr K has always been so patient and takes time to explain what’s wrong with my fur baby. The staffs are also nice and helpful! This hospital is probably the few remaining truly affordable hospital. My coworker’s wife said all the other animal hospitals have been bought out by three major corporations. And afterwards they all Jack up the price! The only thing I would complain about is the one-time lack of communication.Dropped off our Cat for surgery, and they said they would call in the evening to pick up the Cat as it probably would not need to stay overnight. 8:00 pm came along and no one had called yet. So at almost 9:00 pm after several attempts of calling with no answer, I got through. The Vet answered and said we could pick him up if we wanted but be here as soon as possible. They should have called us and let us know ahead of time, but no one ever called. Had we not called, we would have waited until the next morning to pick up the Cat. We will still go to this animal hospital, but next time I hope they have better communication.Also, at times getting through is impossible. Due to the heavy call volume, youll get a busy tone, it will go straight to voicemail, but the mailbox is full, or it will simply keep on ringing and ringing. They seriously need to hire more personnel just to handle the call volume.

More recently I took my dog in for a subsequent teeth cleaning and even more recently for an ear infection. They squeezed us in for the ear infection despite being so busy because my dog was in pain. The prices are reasonable and the treatment effective. I highly recommend this vet and his staff.******Took my dog for a dental cleaning and staff was warm and friendly; vet gave me summary when I picked up my dog and I heard him thoroughly explaining a more serious issue to a pet owner who was there before me; and pricing was very reasonable. They are busy so I dropped off my dog at 9 am and picked her up at 5 pm. They do not try to upsell you and do not recommend treatments your pet does not need. I will be taking my fur baby there again in the future.

In the past year, we have taken our pets to San Gabriel Animal Hispital for routine vaccines and such. The staff and Dr. K have been wonderful. What makes them exceptional is that we’ve had two emergency visits for our pets, with one needing surgery. Ive been taking Bella (my dog) for about 7 years to this animal hospital. They take good care of her whenever we have an appointment. I Love this place. They are Such good people and so reasonably priced. It’s true that they can get super busy so there can be a wait, and it may take you a couple of days to get an appointment at times, but in my experience if there’s an emergency they will do everything in their power to get you in and help. Dr Kiaei is also truly caring and the best vet I’ve seen. Even my super intense cat who will hiss at anyone who tries to hold him if he’s not in the mood let’s the Doc examine him without a fuss. By far one of the best veterinerians I have ever been to.Doctor: Very knowledgeable, friendly, rushed just a tad, helpful, and most of all HONEST. My dog needed back surgery ASAP due to a slipped disc, causing paralysis of the back legs. He quickly called one of his contacts, referred my dog and the surgery was done the same day. ❤ He told me exactly where I needed to go. Didnt charge me for the consult. I will never forget that. I adopted a kitten from a feral colony while on vacation in LA area, so was thrilled to find the San Gabriel Animal Hospital! Everyone there was VERY nice and their prices are incredible! The staff is knowledgable and willing to answer all questions. The facility may not be fancy, but it is clean and appears to be well-equipped. They also follow COVID-19 protocols.The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is that the kitten was dewormed and based on my receipt it looks like she was dewormed for only one type of worm. This is the hospital I went to when I first got my puppy to get her vaccines and I recently got my 9 month old puppy spayed here. I honestly love this place! It’s small, but the staff is extremely nice and always answers all of my questions. Mercy is great! She explained the aftercare procedure for the spray and the price came with the cone, painkillers, and antibiotics. We were debating whether or not to spay her at a shelter but decided to come here since it is our regular vet. The prices are way better than other vets!!

My Kuma has been with Dr. Kiaei for almost 2 years now. This is the best animal hospital I have ever experienced! Before we came to the San Gabriel Animal Hospital, my family brought Kuma to a different animal hospital that was not only very expensive, but we also never even met the doctor. At that hospital, only the staff ever came out to pick up and drop off my dog before and after his appointment. There, we never got any chance to speak to the Doctor about my dog or ask the Doctor any questions.However, at the San Gabriel Animal Hospital, Dr. Kiaei is super nice and very thorough. After each visit, Dr. Kiaei always comes to meet us to make sure we understand my dog’s situation and answer any questions. All the staff here is very friendly and amazing.We brought Kuma in this time because his left eye was inflamed. We were worried he might be going blind (thankfully, he is not). I walked in to the San Gabriel Animal Hospital and explained this. The front desk did their best to put my dog in the next day. Dr.Kiaei gave the best treatment to Kuma and brought his left eye to normal so quickly! Received quality, straightforward, absolutely affordable care and follow-up. Dr. Kiaei seems very knowledgeable and is obviously very caring when it comes to his patients. While he seemed pretty quiet in the first first, I called with a question afterwards and he went over the lab results with me over the phone as they had just come in. He really went into detail on the different elements of the blood test, the results he was concerned about, why, and to what degree. He explained what the possible causes could be, ultimately giving his professional diagnosis/treatment plan. It was extremely thorough and educational, not rushed, dismissive or demeaning at all, and I really appreciated that.The treatment plan prescribed worked well and although Id read reviews about the cost being reasonable here, it was honestly so much more affordable than I anticipated. Especially compared to other places and with costs rising even more lately, the affordability of the care and treatment received here is unheard of anymore. I feel that makes all the difference in the lives of many animals and, in turn, the lives of many individuals who would otherwise be at a loss and unable to scrape enough together to pay for care.Its fine to say people shouldnt have animals if they cant take care of them. It makes sense. However, animal companions are very therapeutic, we need them and they surely need us, and people of every socioeconomic status are going to have them, economically disadvantaged and homeless people included. In that respect, I feel this place is truly benefitting public health and society by allowing those who are typically disproportionately restricted from accessing quality care, due to a shortage of funds, the ability to properly care for their animal friends at costs they can manage. The weight of guilt and stress lifted off a person because they can afford to care for their animals is huge. It fosters independence, autonomy and esteem, as well as continued companionship as the animals live longer. Since loneliness in our society is a contributing factor to poorer health and early mortality, these positive effects are significant and lead to healthier, happier lives for people as well.Having said that, its clear why the place looks the way it does. It can use a good, deep cleaning. Its small and looks outdated in some areas. The individuals working here are nice but they do get busy. They are working tirelessly to help as many patients as they can in one day, every day. I know this because (a) they managed to fit us in, even though when I called they were booked for ~2 weeks (b) unfortunately I ran into bad traffic going to the follow-up and got there 5 minutes before closing, but I was still seen. I was not charged for the checkup. Other patients were still being seen as well, with the same quality of care given past closing time. I felt guilty for the employees having to stay late, but I think that might be a usual occurrence because they obviously do their best to take care of every patient or person needing help. The phone line gets busy and with the office being so small, people have to wait outside or in their cars to be called in. So, answering different calls and keeping track of whos who when different people are walking in the door is what theyre dealing with all day. Personally, I try to give people a break when I see theyre handling a lot and doing their best. Keep that in mind, if you will.I wonder if theyd allow volunteers in there periodically to help with cleaning. Their very obvious priority is caring for patients and theres only so much time in the day. This isnt a spacious, bright establishment that charges an arm and a leg for inferior service but pristine walls and floors. This is a place that focuses on patients needs and tries to help everyone who needs help. Every day. Im so glad I found it and decided to come here. Thank you.

I would recommend San Gabriel animal Hospital to everyone. The Dr. is great and has saved 3 of our cat and 1 Shih Tzu. If it wasnt for his talented education our animal family would have passed away. His office is always busy and there is a wait time during this pandemic. Patience is required. Our Shih Tzu had kidney failure and he diagnosed it perfectly. I learned how to administer an IV bag to rehydrate her. She is doing well. 2 of our cats had Cat parvo and with medication and educating us how to administer antibiotic they made it thru this difficult time. Our other cat was bitten by a coyote on it tail. The tail had to be amputated. He educated us again for treatment at home after the operation. I would give them 10 STARS if it was available. (Part 2) We have a family of Shih tzus and we are going to set up an appointment for all of them to get there shot and check ups. by the way the cats are FERAL and we give them homes and food. So far we have 6 that are tame enough to touch.

Ive been taking my Mastiffs to SGAH since early July after one of my Mastiffs suffered from a wound in her paw that would not heal. Dr K is very knowledgeable and caring. Her wound is getting better but not completely healed yet. We are still going back every couple of weeks for a recheck. Dr K seems to want to see this through to make sure my dog is fully healed. The staff is very friendly and nice, too. My Mastiff is usually scared to go to a vet, but she seems fine with this office. First time taking my puppy to this clinic, and I couldn’t be happier with her treatment! From the moment we walked in we felt how caring the staff was. The receptionist was sweet and very nice to my dad and I. I left my puppy for a spay, microchip, and a sanitation trim on her paws. When I mentioned my puppy’s umbilical hernia, she told me about the process for fixing it during a spay, quoted me a price for the procedure, then called me back less than twenty minutes after I left to let me know she spoke with the doctor and wanted to confirm the quote. When she took my puppy to the back she was so sweet with her that my dog wasn’t scared despite usually being very skittish and nervous around strangers. Pick up was easy, and Dr. Kiaei himself came out to tell me about care instructions, to run through how the surgery went, and to schedule a follow-up to remove her stitches. I took my puppy here for a check up since I had just got him from the breeder. The place is pretty small and a little cramped but it’s fairly clean. I took a star away because the parking lot is small as well so if it’s busy it can be very difficult to find a spot and when I had to use the restroom I couldn’t find the light switch (maybe the light burned out?) . Gia, my approximately 7-year-old female cat, is doing pretty good today.Dr. Kiaei saw her on 1-8-22 because she was very lethargic, could not stand up, and panting for over 20 minutes. He diagnosed a very low body temperature and, after running a blood panel, a problem with her kidneys. Her liver enzymes were also high. He suspected she got into something she shouldnt have. Each day for 3 days, doctor had me bring her in to administer subcutaneous fluids and an antibiotic. For all the care andtreatment she received, I feel he is very reasonably priced. Dr. Bahman Kiaei is an awesome Vet! Hes was so kind and loving towards my dog. He was very detailed about the treatment he was going to provide and the prices were super reasonable. The last Vet that was at this facility was awful. I had seconds thoughts about taking my dog back. It was nice to know that there was a new Vet and a great one at that. I hope he never leaves. I wholeheartedly trust this place and Dr. K. Yes, they are extremely busy (no walk ins) but for the service and price I will put them first. Honest, no fluff and Dr.K is not going to recommend something to you that you or your pet doesnt need. Ive been to multiple vet locations and this one I trust. Ive taken my dogs in for surgery, check ups for multiple issues etc. One thing I would like to note that is you should come in prepared with questions so the doctor can help you answer them since they are super busy. If you are unclear about anything, please make sure to ask. As a kid, I vaguely remember going to San Gabriel Animal Hospital, but those memories were painful, mainly because they were visits with a dying pet. As an adult, I’ve taken my pets for checkups and diagnoses for the past couple years. Each and every time, the staff there have treated me and my pets with utmost care and respect. I share this from my own experience. This was my fur babys primary vet for the last 5 years. Last year around October I notice my baby was coughing and his breathing was a bit off. I took him to the vet about 5-6 times from October to December. The vet although very nice simply stated he had allergies, but never did any lab work or any exams. Which i now wish i should have pushed for, but my ignorance in this case won. The last time I took him in December he was just not well. The vet simply stated he was overweighed (which in reality was liquid retention). That same night around almost 1am I had to rush him to an emergency animal hospital because he wasnt breathing well. I hospitalized my baby for about a week and I thought he would come home, but he was diagnosed with pneumonia and he didnt get better. Sadly i had to make the most painful decision of my life to let him go because he was just suffering and no amount of treatment was helping. He was so attached to me and i know that he was scared and wondering where i was and with covid i was unable to even visit him. Anyways I finally had the courage to write this with tears and guilt because even though I know It was my responsibility to have have taken him somewhere else for a second opinion, I write this in hopes of helping someone. Yes the vet there is kind but I think they have to many clients and cant provide the best care. I write this because if you have a similar experience please take your fur babys somewhere else for a second opinion honestly the cost is the least important thing. Its been a month and a half now and I still cant manage my loss.

Dr. Kiaei is sooooo nice! My dog Mango vomited and was lack of energy for two days. I was really worried about him, and I had no appointments for some hospital, so I just brought him to MASH. Promise me never bring your pets there!!!! They just care about your money. Their test and exam is useless. And their diagnostic results changed everyday. I spent $1200 there but Mango didnt get better. Then I brought him to SGAH, Dr. Kiaei took a good care of him and the blood-test showed he is infected. As I saw in other reviews, dont let the looks of the building deceive you. Dr. K is a kind, generous, caring doctor. He cares about his patients and also their owners. It is worth being patient with the COVID19 safety protocols. Dr. K is working 6-7 days a week to try to meet the demand caused by clinics limiting their intakes due to COVID. Just bring a book to read or podcast to listen to in the car while you wait your turn. My dogs biopsy cost almost half of what I normally pay in Mammoth Lakes and Dr. K alerted me that my dogs labs were off, recommended I get her on supplements, and scheduled a follow up to try to figure out why her liver function is off. Finding someone who is pro-active is so rare these days. The community is lucky to have such a wonderful human being to care for their pets!

Best vet ever. They didn’t have a single second to spare today and weren’t accepting walkins, but no one else could see my extremely sick dog till much later in the day. After years of looking for a kind, knowledgable reasonably priced vet, I came to San Gabriel Animal Hospital (secretly recommended by a receptionist at an expensive vets office). I live in Westwood but dont mind the 20 minute drive to have a great vet. I saw 2 other vets and spent hundreds of dollars to help my dog who is suffering from allergies, Dr. B took care of the problem within a couple of weeks for a fraction of what I had already paid to other Vets without results. First off I would like to say that although this facility may be small, the decor outdated, and there are at times a wait, Dr. Kiaei (Dr. K) and the veterinary assistants always provide utmost care for my pets. Dr. K is knowledgeable, confident, and goes above and beyond when caring for my furry ones. Mercy, one of their receptionists, always knows me and my cats by name. She is personable, patient, and always willing to help answer my questions.Over the years I have brought numerous (12+) cats/kittens to be spayed and neutered by Dr. K. There were no complications at home and everyone healed nicely.Ive gone to several veterinary facilities in the surrounding area and by far they are the most affordable. You cant beat the level of care, knowledge, and dedication Dr. K has for his patients. One of my kitties was very ill and needed to be hospitalized for several days. Dr. K would drive back and forth from his home to the hospital several times throughout the night to administer medication, check her IV line, and make sure my little girl was doing alright. How many non-emergency facilities have a Veterinarian this dedicated? Most places would send you to an emergency veterinary clinic for overnight care which costs an arm and a leg. Honestly, Im not sure how Dr. K got any sleep during this time, but I am grateful he kept me up to date with her progress and was there to care for her.Like most places sometimes there is a wait. As a pet owner and someone who frequents medical offices, understanding that emergencies occur and need to be seen ASAP should be recognizable. If I know I need to be somewhere I schedule an appointment either as the first appointment of the day, or the first appointment right after lunch. They do their best to keep on schedule while trying to accommodate those pets who need to be seen sooner. Its easier to understand when your pet has been in a position for needing urgent care.Overall I recommend San Gabriel Animal Hospital to anyone looking for affordable care and a Veterinarian dedicated to his profession and the well-being of his patients.
