2024-03-28 08:39:03I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I couldnt be more impressed! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect sanctuary after a long day of exploring the city. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service provided by the manager, Paul. He greeted me with a warm smile and made sure that every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. Whether it was recommending local attractions or accommodating any requests I had, Pauls attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly made a difference. The amenities at the hotel were fantastic as well, from the delicious breakfast spread to the well-equipped fitness center. The location was also ideal, with easy access to nearby restaurants and attractions.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The combination of top-notch service, comfortable accommodations, and unbeatable hospitality from Paul and his team make it a standout choice for travelers. I cant wait to return!

2024-06-10 03:23:42I’m not sure why this is listed as a 4-star hotel, when it’s actually 2-3 stars (and 3 stars is generous). The rooms are overpriced, they look dated, and definitely need some sprucing up. You’ll also be charged for just about everything (wifi is $15/day). The front desk staff were quite good though and they quickly sent up what I needed. I do think there are other places that are better than this.

2024-05-24 14:56:55Gym great. Room size great. But as I walked into my room, you can smell the mold. I cant see the mold but definitely can smell it. Had to keep my balcony door open all day/night. Wouldn’t stay here again for that reason. WiFi charge too much.

2024-03-28 07:32:20I have no complaints about this hotel, but Im not sure I can rave about it either. The positives unquestionably outweigh the slight disappointments. The location was absolutely ideal for me and my colleagues. The front desk was helpful during check in. The room was clean and comfortable. Minor disappointments are that the television offered a simple cable option with minimal channel selections and no support for Netflix or other streaming services. The washroom was dated but had good water pressure. The breakfast menu at the restaurant was enjoyable.

2024-06-22 17:56:46Bonvoy member, checked in for one night.Good, clean and spacious rooms. Excellent location!Rude, unfriendly and unprofessional front office staff. Ms. Gloria Orosco at the front office refused to honor a paid confirmed booking for four in a double room.Relented immediately after being asked to speak to her boss.Front office staff needs basic training on civility.

2024-04-22 16:42:18I would stay here again. This hotel is in dire need of a face-lift. I felt as if I was transported back 10 years. The breakfast/food area was depressing and dimly lit. The Starbucks section had drinks advertising that they didnt know how to make. It wasnt dirty though. The staff was very nice and attentive.

2024-06-02 14:34:13There is nothing overtly wrong with this hotel other than it’s relatively mediocre for the price. Parking is $36 a night. It was pretty expensive and the rooms were nothing special. The TVs did not have smart app access, the beds were pretty uncomfortable, the entire decor is pretty outdated, and the location is not ideal. Front desk staff were also not very friendly. WiFi was also another up charge. Like I said, nothing overtly wrong with the place but way too expensive for such a mid-tier experience.

2024-06-08 07:47:51Does not offer chargers for phones. The TV is not a smart TV. When asking to upgrade to a suite instead of a king deluxe I was laughed at. Staff is very nice and professional. Dont book a king room. Book a double. You get a higher level hotel and nicer room. Really disappointed as a member. I wanted to pay for a private king corner patio. I was lied to over the phone and got a crumby room worse than the double bed I booked two weeks ago. Not sure if I will stay at a Marriott again. I wanted to pay top dollar for a room and paid too much for something I could have done on a third party website for cheaper. My wallet was open and I was lied to on the phone about expectations. I would have kindly declined booking a reservation but I had no idea what I was going to run into. When I called again to ask if there were any suites at any Marriott that had a balcony the agent sounded confused. If you just need a hotel in San Diego for the fam... This is an ok place. If you just need to get away and want luxury... Id pass on this place

2024-04-23 17:58:04I am a Marriott Platinum Elite member (only share to clarify I stay at Marriott/Bonvoy- affiliated hotels quite often). Upon arrival to check in, I was told my reservation had been cancelled due to not arriving the day prior (when my original reservation was set to begin). I was unable to arrive that day and told them nearly a week before the original arrival date that I needed to revise the reservation. They kindly reversed the cancellation of my reservation as I stood in the lobby and treated me as if a favor was being done on my behalf. As an aside, the hotel is quite dated (especially for the price per night and non-prime location- two and three star hotels have similar quality rooms and aesthetics to what can be found at this hotel as it was in April 2024). I also had to call and ask for the room to be cleaned on day three (I thought the first two days not receiving housekeeping was an error perhaps but on day 3 decided to see what was going on- they cleaned my room that day and one more time (is no housekeeping the new standard?).What they did not clarify was that they would charge me for the day I was not occupying the room (in addition to the next 6 days Id spend in the room). I called after the stay to ask about why I was charged for the day I was not there, they claimed that there was no evidence of a revised reservation and that I would need to pay for the night I did not occupy the room. With as much as I typically enjoy my stays at Marriott hotels, the way this incident was handled tarnished my rapport with the brand.I can confidently state I will avoid this particular hotel if at all possible and that my experience from a customer service perspective was not what I would have anticipated with Marriott in general. Quite disappointing.

2024-04-28 04:00:31Worst customer service. Mr Eddie Cook at the front desk came out to inform me that the reservation I made a week ago was cancelled. He offered no genuine apology, he made me feel as if the whole situation was my fault because I used a 3rd party, offered no resolution to the point where he made me feel humiliated. To us out of town folks who make plans a week out, HUGE inconvenience. Marriott is a huge company with other locations. He said there was nothing that can be done which I know is not true. Horrible. Marriott lost a customer for life today.
