To the people packaging the meat/ poultry, you guys are really something else putting stuff like this faced down so the customers don’t see. Along with making sure the printing on the packaging hides the big pieces of fat and bruised chicken you all throw in there. Bought 6lbs of chicken, ended up with like 4 lbs after discarding everything that should’ve been discarded by them.

Il f youre not particular about brands and love to save...this is your place.Its JUST LIKE COSTCO..just cheaper.The quality of the meat is great and their brand which is Makers Markis worthy!!I have a family of 6 and sometimes..and Sams pulls through and allows us to treat ourselves without digging too deep in our pockets !

Someone needs to evaluate this club. Its ruining peoples scams club experience. Its management hiring careless people cause the dont care. Corporate needs to let the managers of this club go. I was stolen from here today, not only is customer service terrible. But there is a manager there allowing these things daily. Soliciting in the parking lot is not a typical Sams club environment.

Its alright. Prices arent better or worse compared to costco. They do have smaller portions of food, so if its just you or a small family, its alright. There are usually random beggars in the parking lot, so be mindful of that

Whats the point of having a Membership Desk number if none one is picking up. I called 4 times to the Membership desk (twice at different times), waited for 2-3 minutes with the phone ringing and one one picks up. The Sams club in Gardena picked up immediately when I called them, but this Sams club in South Gate seems like they love to ignore the phone. At this point Im just going in person to cancel my membership because why have one when the Sams club closest to where I live doesnt even bother helping their members.

The manager tonight had no customer service skills. I was doing a pick-up order, but i was unaware that there was only one person abe to pick up the order, and i wasnt the main account holder but i am on the account had my card and ID but wouldnt let me pick up order. He offered no solutions, no help, not even a sorry. Its just a waste of time.

Today, May 6th I went with my mom this morning to buy some rotisserie chickens to enjoy for dinner, however once opening them and shredding them to eat, we noticed that the rotisserie chickens had fly eggs on the wings, we had to throw away both chickens! This is baffling and unacceptable!!

I think the pizza is dropping off lately. Its either too dry and over cooked or they dont put enough marinara sauce. Ive picked a couple or more whole pizza for my moms 83 Rd birthday gathering along with a dozen hot dogs. The pizza was so hard at the top and ridiculously hard to chew. Ill not be buying anymore pizza at the south gate of Sams Club for a while. The hot dogs need a few more mins but it turns out after microwaving them for a couple mins. I end up giving the pizza to a few dogs and end up doing some barbecue chicken and smother potatoes with barbecue baked beans. The young folks at Sams Club are not doing a great job at all cooking Sams Club pizza. Im good. Id rather go to Pappa Johns pizza......

I dont know if their order pick-up isnt working right, but I waited 25-30 minutes for my order to be brought. All while watching the one employee bring out orders and get a tip. I have no issue tipping, but is this how orders are brought out based on whether or not someone is tipped? Im not knocking someone getting tipped, but when I arrived, nobody else was waiting, and then to make me wait 30 minutes and not say anything (we will be right with you, etc.) is ridiculous. I have been a member here for years, and not until the last month or so have I noticed this change in wait times.Whats the point in sending a notification to the customer saying the order is ready if when they arrive not only do they have to wait much longer, but after confronting the employee, suddenly my order status changed from, ready for pickup, to, we are double checking the order.Making a complaint is useless. Dont waste your time here; go to Costco.

Sams club is a very large incredible store where you can find a great variety of household products to stock your pantry where there is a great variety of fruits, vegetables, groceries, meats, cleaning products, products for the car and televisions., es a sustainable store for the whole family where you can buy in large quantities the memberships are very cheap that you can buy even tvs and video game consoles.

I like the scan and go option this is so easy you can just shop and pay without making a line.This store to me seems very standard they always have the same things I never really see new products. I never find black canned beans, I used to buy small packages of maseca never see that now. They dont have a variery of options like chobani they dont have the drinkable ones. The fruit for some reason every time I buy it in this Sams it doesnt last very long.There is always people asking for money or trying to sell you things outside the exit or when you are walking to your car.The employess are not very friendly or helpful.

I’ve shopped here for 30 years, felt a special loyalty due to having worked there for 7 years as I went through schooling and was even manager there. Today, that’s all over!3/4 of my way through my self checkout transaction, I was approached by the member service associate who told me I needed to transfer everything in my cart to a new cart. I said, “I can’t!” Can you?” He told me if I can’t transfer my merchandise than I have to get in a cashier assisted line. I told him “I know what I’m doing and I’ve been a member for 30 years.” He said the store manager is requesting that I transfer everything. No offer to help. Nobody else was transferring their merchandise.I asked, “Where is the posted policy that members who can’t transfer merchandise have to use cashier lines?” The associate says, “The manager is asking that you transfer sir!”I walked out.First, I have heart failure and rapid heartbeat if I exert myself. Having already lifted 5 cases of water into the cart, there’s no way I’m transferring it to another cart. 2nd I have my system, I know what I’m doing.Upon calling the store to speak to manager. He says, he saw that I was having difficulty scanning to ensure accuracy that I will scan everything.” This is the store manager!!!!So he’s worried that I might not scan a $20 item vs. offering assistance.I will end my 30 years of membership and loyalty. I’ve never gone to Costco to stay loyal.I said I was being singled out. Nobody else was being asked to transfer.He was not interested j helping me but rather inconveniencing me further even though I decided to do self checkout.For 15 minutes from 12:00-12:15 I called to try to get through to member services. The phone for member services rang more than 10 times. I hung up several times bc no one answered, when I did reach someone, I got hung up on twice.When you shop at South Gate you put up with chaos a lot, very long cashier lines, nobody smiles and offers help. The parking lot is a complete mess. Carts have trash and diapers, and you often have to bring your own cart from the lot, and clean it out.But today loyalty ends!!!!!

My go-to spot to buy everything. From the fresh food to house supplies to pet essentials, I come here like two to three times a week. This place has everything I could ever need and the food court is not bad either. This place beats Costco for me with it being less crowded and costing less on several items including the yearly membership. I will say that a caveat is the lack of clothes rotation. The same clothing items are always present at my Sams and rarely change.The best thing about Sams is the Scan and Go function on the app. On busy days such as holidays, this thing comes in handy as you can scan and pay with the app and bypass the crowded lines at the cashier checkout self checkout lanes. Quite revolutionary! You can also apply this feature when buying food at the food court inside the warehouse. Hungry while shopping? Order ahead on the app and pickup your food as you head out the store. By far my favorite feature for its handiness and time saving capabilities.11/10 would recommend downloading the app.

This review is specifically for curbside pickup. On Sunday I placed a curbside pickup order for Monday pickup. I selected 1-2pm because that specifically works with my work schedule. The email says to check in once you receive an email saying your order is ready for pickup. Come 1pm Monday, nothing. I head down there and wait until 2pm and still nothing. I end up going inside and purchasing my items and leave. I finally get an email after 3pm saying my order is ready for pickup. Unacceptable for a service that is PAID for. You have two pay an additional $4 for pickup. Live chat told me to just not pickup my order and I would not be charged for it

Hello, I shop here because it is conveniently close to me. But they have the worst customer service ever. I asked for water and they said they didn’t have any when I was paying customers behind me had water and wait they just pulled out a pallet after I was waiting for water. I talked to the manager and told him I just opened a credit card with you and you guys can’t even check to see if you have waters for a customer. I was so upset I know he didn’t check if they had water or even talked to the other manager to talk to him about customer service. If you shop here just make sure you look for your own supplies needed because no one knows anything there.

Like most other Sams club, you dont always find what you are looking for or there are sold out items you need but they still have a good selection overall. My family and i enjoy a pizza slice or hot dog after we are done shopping but they are usually missing something also. Either the frozen yogurt machine is messed up or they dont have half of the items on their menu.

Got my membership today went in and purchased $500 worth of groceries. Cashier scanned them all and charged me. When walking out the exit the lady checking receipts had me stalled at the door for 10 mins scanning my whole cart again To make sure I paid for everything. What’s the deal with that? This store is great only problem is the self checkouts are many than the cash registers. Lets say if you have few items to purchase and have alcohol you must go to the cash register (not allowed to do self checkout) I wish if a worker of Sams Club just ask for an ID to approve the purchase of alcohol. Not pleased that for a short time, a few weeks ago, this location had started carrying the Members Mark four cheese raviolis in the 4Lb bags. And that lasted a whole 2 days they were gone. I never got to get them, no chance, they had them in the Santa Clarita store, and after inquired about this, then they brought them to the South Gate Sams club Im disappointed because this is a Hallmark product and Im always told that they have them in the warehouse but theyre not distributed to the stores, so I need to know what the hells going on with Sams club because I use that product and thats one of the main ones that I buy and if they wont /cant carry it then theres no sense in me having a membership here. Extremely Disappointed ! When I ask about this product at the service desk I always get the runaround.

Well, everytime we go about 30% of what ever we try to buy is not available and its turning out to be a bother, another this there is never any one on the floor and the little bit of ppl working they gave a bad attitude, or at least they look like they are upset, like they dont get pay enough. Hand a terrible experience today at Sams. It was 6:02pm the cashier at the food court did not have the, Close sgin. My husband and I tried to order one slice of pizza but there was one customer infront of us. When the cashier saw us she but the sign we ask to speak with the manager and Victor the supervisor said he was busy. We told Victor the cashier was rude and when we told her we would speak to the manager, the cashier said, go ahead. Since again the manager was not available we spoke to Victor. He did absolutely nothing about the situation. The cashier had not counted her drawer money and we asked Victor if there is anything he could do, since we were standing in line. Enjoy shopping here since it’s near my hometown. Most the time they are stocked well. I noticed that at the food court here they are super slow and understaffed constantly a long line even blocking the entrance. I wish managers would see this and fix it being that it is a constant issue here. I feel bad for the workers here being they are trying their best with very little support.

One person said “ just grab all the stuff you need and ask for a guest pass at the register “ Here we are waiting in line and another worker redirects us to self check out! The food was good though. The prices are great. I went in today to see if I could get some meat cut and they responded unfriendly and looked like I bothered them for asking. The sams club by my house is customer service with a smile and you can pick a big chunk of meat from the meat section and ask them to cut in 1/4 3/8 or what ever steak cut thickness you desire. The tire shop is extremely bad and do not recommend them. They just turn out worse than any worse tire ever. I m sure that you can get better service anywhere else. This place is not the same no more as when Alvaro was there and pretty sure he walked away because lower pay. Warranty avoidance just because, they make you walk away to tell you there is no coverage when you have been told by shop manager and store management you have . Management lack of training and professionalism. If you have an emergency issue they wont help you until they feel like. I explained the situation to him about how rudely the team member made comments about my father to another team member. The manager Pascual, heard me out and assured me he would be speaker with that team member. This was my first time visiting this location. So having this happen was not wanting to make me come back. However speaking with the Manger Pascual made me feel better about coming back again. On a side note I dont feel comfortable with the team members not wearing gloves touching my items. There is a sickness going around. If they are going to be touching members items after purchasing them. They should be wearing glove. Would make members feel more safe.

This is the first time I go to sams club after a couple of years. I spent over $150 today. Everything was going great until I had a bad customer service experience with an employee. My brother bought a chicken sandwich from the deli and when he got it the sandwich looked nothing like the picture and tasted horrible. I went to the register and asked for a refund. The guy working was rude and said he couldnt give me my money back because I didnt have a receipt. Well, he never gave my brother a receipt to begin with. They are well stocked and Ive never had a true issue at this sams. The biggest issue is that it is so overcrowded, so so so overcrowded. On weekends its a bit harder to navigate and lines are endless, expect at least 30-45 minutes. The lines at either ends get filled and then it becomes mission impossible to navigate to the middle lines. I think they could do better jobs at having a proper amount of cashiers open to serve the incredible amounts of people they get. They always try to push payment thru the app and self check out lines to alleviate, but the crowd is predominantly Spanish speakers and there are a lot of people who cannot take advantage of these options.

It’s always a mess with the shopping carts. There are always no shopping carts available at the entrance. Sometimes you have to chase people down to take their shopping cart when they are finished. This Sam’s club is okay there’s nothing major about it. It’s clean and you can get most grocery products here. I don’t interact much with staff, but they do look not happy to be working there. It’s best to come in early in the morning to avoid the big lines and crowds.

Well. There is, in my opinion, a new rule for seniors that doesnt make any sense to me. I arrived at 9:45 am and the lady at the entrance reviewed my Sams card and told me that I have to wait until 10 oclock, because my senior time to enter expired at 9 am. I was there after closing time and when I walked outside the store the parking lot was a DISASTER. Only one person was outside organizing all the carts. There were several employees inside standing around chatting. Poor guy outside was left alone while the people inside were hanging out and not being proactive with their time. This Sams club if a little bit more mismanaged than the other ones in the surrounding areas. It had all the usual items that youll find in any Sams club by the customer service was below average by far.the parking lot is also shared by a mini mall thats adjacent to the Sams club so its hectic and sometimes dangerous to find a parking spot since so many drivers speed and ignore pedestrians. Sometimes theres not enough store representatives to help you and at times you find yourself just wandering aimlessly around looking for help if you ever needed. The best thing about this Sams club and any other Sams club is the Scan & go feature, where you just pick what you need and scan it and head to the exit.

These employees are rude as hell, unprofessional, racist, slow, dramatic, you name it...My experience was disgusting and horrible, every time I came here was the same problem. I file many complaints but it seems that I was just wasting my time. My sister in law who works at this location ordered a cake for her daughters birthday. She asked that they spell my nieces name on the cake. The name on the cake was completely misspelled and the bakery attendant told her it was her fault because thats how she wrote the name on the order. She could not find the order form. The employee than went on to say it wasnt her fault because she wasnt the decorator and therefore couldnt fix the error. She kept pushing that my sister in law buy the cake anyway and that she would give her a discount. After about 15 mins of back and forth the employee did her best to fix the mistake .. cake looked just as bad with the fix when we arrived home and sang happy birthday. The cake seemed like it came from a box and not made from scratch, icing was super sweet and thick. Although my sister in law works here, I will never order a cake from here again.

But both of them left after a couple of minutes, with one new person working, so it took 40 minutes before we returned the item. Well I whent today at Sams store in south gate really bad experience.After 30 min in line I sow a shoppers with a canopy so I said Im taking one I ask the supervisor if I can go get one and paid it there.and then he said yea but u needs to go make a line again and I said why I just paid more then 300.00 dlrs in staff then he told me the i need to make a line again I got so mad .Very bad experience

So I did Scan & Go and we walked up to the exit and I watch old girl scan everybodys receiving one item out of their car and let him go but my husband and I get there and she had to scan to scan and go thing and scroll through the entire list of what we had purchased. I dont know if its because of the color of our skin or what but I felt very offended by that.

This place is staffed by incompetent people! Trying to get help is nearly impossible and when you do they have no idea what they are talking about. Good luck trying to get through on the telephone system. I have called and the phone has rang for well over 10 min. They club might have good deals but the service you get in return makes you question whether or not you will shop there next time just to save a few bucks.

Bought short ribs and at the bottom there was four pieces all fat. Omg. I guess they dont want people to come back to buy these type of meat.Make sure you buy only meat you can visible see. If they can hide it, they will hide the bad ones. Just remember what they can get away with they will. Quality isnt Sams thing. If you want quality go to Costco. At least they wont trick you like this. Unfortunately, Costco doesnt sell these type of short ribs.I wonder if you can trust Sams club ground beef fat percentage? Meaning what if they sell 20 percent fat even though they mark it 10 percent fat. This is the problem when they try to be tricky like this. You start to question everything they sell.

Waited 45 minutes to renew my membership. The only teller behind the counter even apologized and said that no one was helping her despite her request. To further add insult to injury, at around 7pm, rotisserie chickens were reduced to $3.00 with a posted sign. When I got to the cashier charged me full price $4.99 and they sent someone to confirm the price, but the sign was gone and they wouldnt honor price.

Door nazi would not let me take the free plastic utinsils for food my coworker got for us to eat. He took food to car, forgot utensils, asked me to get some...a knife, spoon, and fork for 4 people. Door nazi called manager. Made me wait. Took my utensils and two mayo packets and told me to go buy some. Sorry, I had already bought some for my event. I just needed them for the food we just bout and were going to eat before getting back on the road. Also did not have over 20 minutes to wait for the cashiers playing games and unopened registers.
