Van of Same Day Computer, Petaluma, is the real deal in the hardware repair industry. He doesnt do just what he says hell do...he goes beyond that. In January 2024, I dropped off a largescreen MAC which we use primarily for audiobook recording and editing. As it was dated (6-8 years old) and had been running very slowly no matter how much data we dumped from the device, my wife was preparing to dump it. In fact, she gave it to me and bought a new one. Poor her. Lucky me. In less than a weeks time, Van had installed a new hard drive that made the old MAC twice as fast as my wifes new one. Yeah. This is what Im talking about it. Hes really good. Oh...hes also a genuinely nice and decent guy to work with. Highly recommended.

Van helped me out with two different issues recently- true to the name, I got my laptop back both times within 2-3 hours and with the issue resolved. Good communication and very reasonable and honest in his pricing. Dont want to have to be back, but for sure will be the next time I need hardware help w a computer!

The screen on my touchscreen laptop started acting irraticly. Of course it happened only a couple weeks after extended warranty expired. The company still did a diagnostic run through with me all to no avail. They said my best bet would be to buy a new one as the symptoms it was having would probably be an expensive fix. Knowing that if I brought it back to the store I bought it from to see how much it would cost for a repair would take a minimum of 5 days, I looked up local businesses as my laptop is necessary for me for my non-profit work. I found Same Day Computer Repair, called in and spoke with Van who told me their deposit amount and said he could fit me in right away. He was very nice, helpful, and a couple hours later called me and said my computer was fixed, that it was not the problem I thought it might be, was not the problem the company had said it was going to be, and that he had figured it out, solved and fixed it, and tested it off and on to insure he had indeed solved and fixed it, all for the deposit amount which was SIGNIFICANTLY less than it would have cost me even at the store I bought it from, and certainly less than buying a brand new computer not to mention all the headache that would have caused and time that would have consumed starting all over. Thank you Van and Same Day Computer Repair for saving me AND my non-profit! 5 stars for sure. Highly recommend!

Marty was extremely helpful with a complicated situation I had with my computer. Very friendly and convivial, clearly a professional. Also has beautiful fish tanks to relax you in his store.

Fast service and quotes. Priced fairly and competitively. This is better than geek squad or any of those corporate quick fixers. Also owner builds custom pcs with specs that rival every pre built gaming pc on the market. Recommend.

We have Sonic internet at home. Sonic promises up to 1 gig of bandwidth but over the last few years, we barely got a quarter of that. They said it was the wi-fi so I bought a switch and planned to attach all of my home devices by ethernet.None of my devices was connecting except by wireless so Sonic sent a technician out. The Sonic technician couldnt figure it out and left me with an additional switch just in case the one I just bought was defective.Long story short, I called Same Day Computer because theyve worked on a few of my work PCs in the past and they know their business. Marty came to my house and a few hours later, left us with the fastest home internet, by far, that we have ever had. Sonics full gig for the first time!Thanks, Marty!

Called and dropped my computer off on a Friday, Marty called me back after looking at it and my mother board was fired. I needed to get a new computer, but did not need anything fancy, and did not want go into these places and get sold a bill of goods that i did not need. Marty was GREAT he told me exactly what to get and what not to get. Took the new computer back to him and he transferred everything over to the new one.. I picked up the new one that day with everything on it and the price was very reasonable and he is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff... would Recommend this place and Marty... thank you Marty for the great service..

Old school, laid back independently-owned computer repair shop with a competent staff. Dont go to Best Buy - support an independent local business instead where youll be treated like a person instead of a number. Weve come to this business 5-6 times for work on our computers and they always do a good job. They also have ink and printer paper.Back in the 80s when computer stores first came into being, all shops were like this - personable and easy to deal with. The Big Box stores have made everything so impersonal and tiring. You come out of them feeling drained. We much prefer to do business the way Same Day Computer does it, in a neighborbly way, and Petaluma is lucky to have a small local business like this.

Excellent service, great prices, and honest people. I went in for a hard drive crash and they diagnosed the problem right away. Please be sure to check with your manufacturer before any work is performed for the warranty; they informed me of this fact and it saved me a lot of headaches down the line with trade-in. Highly recommended.If you get a chance to stop in, the fish tanks are amazing.

You can decide for yourself after reading this !!!My laptop needed a new fan- I was getting the thermal overheating alert. Took my computer to the Sebastopol store on April 23rd where it sat for a week needing to go to the Petaluma store for the repair. ( I even offered to take it there but was Assured that it would be picked up that day )It sat there for a week.No one bothered to call as a staff member suddenly died...It then sat at Petaluma store and when I bailed it out, I got a $270.00 bill and No New Fan.Fast Forward to today June 22- my computer is there for the 5th time as the fan was NEVER REPLACED and will be there, taken apart until a fan arrives on a Slow Boat from China which could take up to 3 weeks !I am so UPSET that I really dont know what to do.What would You Do???????
