Meeting with the Salus representative gave both my sister and I hope, dignity with the knowledge that the Salus home care team is here to support the healing process. My family is incredibly grateful for the compassionate, professional caregiving by the Salus Homecare team for my mom in her final days. Mom wanted to stay at home in hospice with family care as long as possible.We expected her passing, but the speed of her decline was unexpected. Her needs very quickly exceeded our capabilities. We called Salus at 2:00pm on a Saturday, and they were able to schedule a caregiver for 7 am the next day. They sent their angel Christy, who was just brilliant with mom. Despite moms pain, Christy was able to give her such gentle comfort in her care, that mom needed fewer pain meds and seemed more relaxed with Christy at her bedside. Christy was so calming, that we requested her to continue bedside care when we made the difficult decision to move mom to a facility. Mom was able to remain calm, in Christys kind & capable hands, on her final journey. We highly recommend the team at Salus Homecare.

Salus has provided caregivers for my family member for over 2 years. The weeknight caregiver, Chancelvie, has been marvelous: patient, understanding, and encouraging despite having a very difficult patient. Our case manager was also terribly patient and responsive during intake and has been routinely following up. Administrative staff are likewise responsive. I rue the day when we will have to find other resources.

Our family was recommended to Salus when our dad needed to go onto hospice care. It was such a stressful and confusing time and we cannot thank Marcella and our nurses Nadia and Norma enough for their support. They spent so much time speaking with our family helping us understand the process and allowing us to make decisions together as a family. We were told by the doctors how complicated our dads case was and Salus made sure to help with the transition out of hospital care and into assisted care to make sure he was taken care of. Even when a few issues arose, everyone at Salus was quick to respond and help remedy the situation. We would recommend them to any family in need of palliative or hospice care.

I had extremely good care from Salus homecare. The caregivers were very nice and fulfilled my care needs very competently and I was very satisfied with their care. Although all the people I got in touch with were extremely helpful, I like to mention that Ms. Elisa Gomez went way out of her way to make my transition from the rehab to home care very smooth. Not every senior care professional takes the time to really listen to their clients and build effective care programs. Marcella and her Salus team are experts in care and do whats best, even if it means their clients progress to the point of not needing their services.Weve been working with Marcella and her team at Salus Homecare in Torrance since 2019. We are a team of mobile exercise therapists in LA and serve a variety of clientele with a wide range of needs. Marcella is our trusted source for all things homecare related. We know we can count on her know-how to handle any challenge our clients may face. I am happy to say that the trust is mutual and that we gladly support Salus clients when Marcella calls us into action. Weve built a strong partnership.This success story involves a Salus Homecare client who had been bedbound for over a year due to severe neuropathy. This clients ultimate goal was to get back home, but she could only go home if she was able to regain her ability to walk. Sadly, most people brushed off this goal as wishful thinking, but not Marcella! She listened to her client and got the ball rolling immediately. I am the office manager of a senior referral agency, and Salus has been a most valuable resource for our clients. We often speak with clients who are not quite ready for an Assisted Living home, yet cannot remain at home by themselves and need to hire a caregiver to help them with their daily needs.I have been working closely with Case Manager Cari Harnish for quite some time, and I couldnt be happier with our partnership. For nearly 2 years, the Team of Caregivers at Salus Home Health in the South Bay - which for us includes Cari and her fantastic co-workers, have been helping us care for our Mom. The rapid ability to put 24 hour care in place for a few days was much appreciated as we dealt with changing needs of my mother. When my aunt required care at her home, my cousin found Salus Homecare - and they have been truly wonderful. Everyone weve worked with has been excellent...especially her case manager, Cari Harnish, who has gone above and beyond for us. She and the rest of the team really care about my aunt and want the best for her. Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I can always reach a live person on the phone and my aunts aides are extremely thoughtful...staying on top of her care, so we dont have to worry. We have used Salus Homecare to assist my father in recovery after several hospital stays. Once for actual nursing care and on another occasion for general in-home help and care. All the care providers have been conscientious and hardworking in their care for my dad. Cari our caseworker was extremely helpful in setting us up with in-home care quickly and followed up to assess my dads needs as he recovered. We cant recommend Salus enough, and will definitely use them again if the need arrises.

Ive worked with other caregiving agencies and Salus has been the most useful and effective. For instance, in the past with one agency in particular, I would speak with a rep about our scheduling needs ahead of time and, when Id check 2-3 days before an upcoming shift to find out if it had been filled with one of their caregivers, they consistently did not have anybody confirmed. I was told eventually that they didnt confirm caregivers until the day before the shift because, if they reached out earlier than that, caregivers were more likely to cancel at the last minute. With Salus, they promptly found an appropriate caregiver for our needs and let me know days in advance with the caregivers name. The process with Salus was very comforting and relieved stress. The caregiver they confirmed was particularly appropriate for our needs; we needed a female caregiver with experience with patients with dementia who was a Spanish-speaker. It has been difficult in the past to find a caregiver who fulfilled all those needs. Our Salus caregiver has been great, very well qualified with actual real-world experience. With other agencies, we often had caregivers that had very little hands-on experience so the situation did not always give us the respite we needed because we had to walk them through the day step-by-step.

I am a geriatric care manager and have most recently been working with Salus for a client whose care needs are complex. We have a large team of caring professionals looking after his wellbeing, and Salus Homecare is an integral part of that team (along with Salus Home Health). From the team at the office charged with coordinating and monitoring care to the individual caregivers providing daily care, Ive been very pleased. When weve hit some challenges, the administrative team has responded just as Id hoped. I dont expect perfection from anyone, but I do expect people to make things right, and thats exactly what Salus does. They do it right or make it right - with compassion, professionalism, and a true care for the health and quality of life of our client. I couldnt do this without them.

I have been extremely pleased with Salus. As a licensed nursing home administrator with a legal background, I expect the best when it comes to patient care. Here in Long Beach, our patients often need caregivers when transitioning home from our skilled nursing facility. I can say that Salus is our number one choice because they give the best care and we get the best feedback about their nurses from our former patients. I know the office director (Ben Chamberlin) personally, and he always goes the extra mile to answer any questions and make sure his patients are well taken care. Salus Homecare was referred to me by my primary care physician when I was faced with serious surgery and as I am a senior who lives alone. He knew I would need 24 hour around the clock caregiving once I came home from hospital and he was right. Salus has incredible administration in the form of Elise and her director Marcella who were more than kind, compassionate and attentive to my situation and as I requested a male caregiver (which are rare so I was told) they put to work Joyliny to find such a person. And she did. I am so grateful to Josemaria (Joey) as he was there every minute making sure I was comfortable and de-stressed so my healing could take place even during this pandemic. When he was off for two days with a replacement, he made sure he was tested negative before returning. That is indeed care. And as I have a long term care insurance policy as a Professor Emeritus from UCLA they are working with the insurance company on my behalf. Salus made it feel like they were members of my family with Elise and Marcella checking in on me occasionally (Elise even brought over a plant and a gift for my service dog) I cannot recommend this company enough. My experience with Salus Homecare was my first. The case manager explained every option available to us, gave a full evaluation of the house, and offered suggestions for safer everyday living. Whenever I had a question or a request, Cari would come through with an answer to my question or a provider for services requested. Our caregiver was always prompt and always would stay over if needed. She was very knowledgeable with proper ways of helping my Aunt, from the start of caregiving care to the change over to hospice care. I always felt comfortable if I had to leave the house to run errands, knowing my Aunt was in the best care possible. I give the caregiver a A and the case manager a A+. I am the Executive Director of an assisted living community. I take pride in providing our residents with the best care possible. I hold our vendors and other outside agencies to the same standards that I expect from my own staff. One time, one of my residents was being discharged from the hospital. However, the discharge planner felt that it was unsafe for this resident to return to us unless she had someone to be at her side for 24 hours. I had an hour to find someone. Not only did Salus find a caregiver quickly, the agency made the process of signing up for the service as painless as possible. The caregiver assigned to our resident was well trained and the transition from the hospital back to us went very smoothly inspite of the change in her condition. The resident, her family and we were very impressed with the service. I highly recommend Salus South Bay without any reservations.

She returned my calls promptly, and was knowledgable about many of the health concerns I had for my mother-in-law. There is so much transitional stress that comes along with home care decisions and changes in lifestyle, and Cari was a tremendous support through it all. Her organizational skills, and her extremely caring and thoughtful manner, made the process much less intimidating. And Shari, our Care Giver, was a joy to have in our home. She was extremely flexible, prompt, and incredibly patient. My mother-in-law adored her and looked forward to her arrival each day. She was very knowledgeable and thorough and actually assisted us with implementing a lot of things in the home we had not even thought about i.e. grab bars and other safety precautions. The later part of 2015 was very traumatic for our family. Our beloved Mother fell at home, sustained injuries and as time reveiled she was diagnoised with Dementia/Alzheimers.
